So a non-art update here would be that next fall I will be attending The Ohio State University so I can major in psychology. I'm super excited and yes, I know it's a big college. I'm looking forward to it either way. I am ready to be done with high school. While having fun studying at college, I will also be fencing for the OSU fencing team. That's going to be freaking awesome and I'm so excited to be fencing with such talented people.

It's on a really big piece of paper so we'll see if I can get in a good scan. I may just scan it in sections and then just post those up separately (or maybe I'll try photoshopping them together). We'll see. So as for getting stuff up here though, that's been a pain in the ass due to all of the stuff I've had to do. If I'm not fencing on the weekends, I'm with the marching band, and etc etc. For those that keep up with my fencing updates, I took 23/63 at the latest North American Cup and at the latest and first National Open Circuit, I took 9/48 which was fun and rather difficult. So there you have it. Basically the same old same old lol.

I just got back from summer nationals in San Jose, California!! I competed in two events: Divisions III and II for Women's Epee. Well, DivIII didn't go so well. I was knocked out first round by some newb. But to me, it doesn't matter.

I took 13th place out of 90 in DivII Women's Epee and received a ranking of a D.

You have no idea how happy I am!! I'll be posting up some of the sketches I drew during that lovely week of fencing and more fencing. Thanks for all the support to those who knew about it.

That family needs help and love and more prayer than I alone can give them with my family. To loose a son... it must be indescribable pain..

I'm currently drawing a self portrait entitled "Unwithering Flower are Beautiful" and you'll see how that'll turn out. I'm furthermore going to draw Snake from Metal Gear and Doc. Rowe from A Band of Brothers because he's my favorite character from that series.

A little update on my fencing is that I'll be fencing with the Northwestern team on Wednesdays starting in October. I'm totally excited about that. It's a clinic for during the school year and I'm can't wait.

A quick update on nationals though. Seeing as how it was my first nationals, I knew I wouldn't do so well and by comparison I didn't do very well but for my first nationals I did better than average ^.^ You do some round robin tournaments first before going into a bracket tournament and you have to be in the top 80% in order to get into brackets. Well, sadly I was in the top 82%. I'll admit I wasn't happy about those results but now that I look back I did pretty good. Plus I got to hang out with two of my awesome friends then for the rest of the time I was in Miami which just rocked royally!

I shall be departing on July 1st and will be returning on the 4th. Expect a few sketches to come from that plane ride if my friend isn't on the flight with me lol.
Yeah, that would be amusing. I met these two really awesome guys at the camp and we're all still talking (which is totally awesome) and we're all hanging out at nats. One of 'em already took off for Miami but my other friend and I are leaving on the same day so it wouldn't surprise me if we were on the same flight.

Anyways, back to more art related things. My recent deviations are the Soap Bubble deviation and the sketch of James Franco. I hope you like both of them. A lot of effort went into making those. I do also have more jewelery I need to post up here but I'm just lazy and am doing some serious procrastination lol. Plus I also need to fix up some blades that broke during the camp. That work has to be possibly more delicate that making jewelery which is just insane because now I feel like posting up the process up here just to make some recognition for me efforts lol!

Just got back from fencing an all day tournament. 2, actually. First was the senior event for 16 and up and then I fenced 16 and under. I got 3rd place and am now qualified for Summer Nationals (and for those that don't know, it's a really really big thingamajig)!

It's awesome. The Summer Nationals are in Miami, Florida this year so I hope I get to go ^.^ Besides the fencing, I could get a great vacation out of it lol.

We recently had the infamous high school turnabout dance. It was pretty fun. My boyfriend and I just left a bit early to grab something to eat and then head our seperate ways to go to bed lol. I've got a few pictures from the occasion (they're on my dad's camera) so that might be fun to photoshop or something if I get bored though I'm not very good at ANY photomanipulation lol.

Well, all in all I've had a great Valentine's Day season.

An update on my little story:

I'm debating putting up what I have on DA for awhile to gather up some opinoins about how it's going, where I should possibly take the draft, and blah blah blah lol. I've gotten to a point where I'm a bit stuck in what I should write about so who knows? It'd only be up for a little while considering my ultimate goal is to get it published, and not just on an art webpage either lol. I know, I set my sights high for a 15 year old ^.^;; But it's something I've always wanted to do and I've had a few ideas but this one seemed mature enough to write about.

An update on my winter break:

It was really enjoyable. Had the relatives over for Christmas and went skiing in Colorado for the New Year. It was fantastic lol.

On a happier, less disgusting note, I've been at the anime convention Anime Reactor this weekend wearing my wonderfully awesome black wolf hat (woohoo!). It's really fun even though it's pretty small. It doesn't really compare to Acen but who cares? It's fun to go just to meet people and visit some of the panels. I wanted to be in that 'draw or die' competition thing but I didn't know where/how to register because I'm sort of a newb lol.

I also saw some artists there that were extremely awesome. I kinda figured out why my photoshop stuff hasn't been so great either; my lines are too heavy. I'm going to start fixing that and working with the microns that I have with this new idea lol (I already know how to use them but it never turned out so great becuase of all the lead I had already laid down. I feel kinda stupid lol).

I'm probably also going to modify my style (yet again lol) to show a more realistic type of figure. I mean that the eyes, mouth, and nose are all in proportional and stuff. I might also finally take an art class or two depending on if the local art center has any avaiable ones for my age group. It's always like 16+ years of age. Really ticks me off sometimes lol. I wonder how the whole art class thing'll work out though considering I'm already trying out for a fencing team with teh epee' (pronounced eppaa). Oh well. Actually, I kinda need to know what I'm going to be doing soon so I can start figuring out if I still want to go to the Air Force Acadamy in Colorado Springs (I can still go there but I want to figure out if I want to major in art, psychology, or whatever yknow? Signing my life to the military isn't something I take very lightly lol).

So I think I've rambled enough that you never want to hear from me again and I smell some wonderful green pepper pizza calling my name right now lol.

Oh well. I'm not going to tell the story due to the fact that it would mortify my friend even more if she saw me posting the details of the event so I'm really sorry but no explanation for the teenage stupidity lol.

So basically this is a quick explanation of why you might see a lot of 'scraps' appear in my deviantart account for 2 weeks lol. I can't bead, but I still can draw and I do have some ink drawings I did in school our of sheer boredom lol. So I'll post those for something new ^.^ I just hope my finger heals faster than two weeks tho looking at the x-rays .... ahhhh no no! Thinking positive lol!
