I'm setting myself a few self portrait projects for the next month or so, to give me some more fillers for my portfolio, and some images that I can practice new post processing techniques on.

I'm still waiting to hear from a shop that sells props/costumes, they wanted to lend me some stuff for my shoots if I advertised their business. I really hope they get in touch with me soon, because it would help get some of my ideas up and running, as at the moment I have no money at all

Someone lent us season 2 of Supernatural, so I get to watch the whole series again It's seriously addictive. I want that damn Chevy Impala and I wanna watch the new season, but it's no longer on ITV so I have to wait til I can download or buy it. I heard it's mint though, so I'm sure it'll be worth waitin for.

I have more from last weeks Horror set still to come, and I'm planning out my next one already. I have so many ideas, just a very small budget.. about 15p to be precise! I need a part time job or something, but my s.a.d makes it extremely difficult (still). Hopefully I'll find something suitable for me that doesn't involve too many people or too many of my anxieties.

Anyhow, onto a bit of a small feature. Firstly I want to show off some of ~littlest-med's art. He featured on some of my portraits;

Yesterday me and Becci had a horror shoot in the woods, it was funny as hell! ^___^ Even though I had her tied up with rope, blood coming out of her mouth.. no one took ANY notice. Recent Updates
After a very eventful couple of weeks I finally got round to doing another shoot. It was Bank Holiday Monday, and we were shooting in Llandudno near the beach, so you can imagine how heaving it was, not to mention it was boiling hot! I got the chance to shoot with Kitty again, and two other models. So expect to see some new shots in my gallery very soon ^.^

My boyfriend broke up with me in a really horrible way, and I'm absolutley devasted, especially seeing as I can't seem to get any closure. The worst thing is, I don't really have any mates I can vent to, so I'm just going through this crap alone, hoping he will at least give me a sincere apology for the way he has treated me!

I hardly trusted anyone before, but now things are so much worse.

I will do that journal and news feature when I get my head sorted and I'm feeling better.

Good news is, I may be able to start business classes in the near future so I can consider self employment!

I've been in Cognotive Behaviour Therapy for a while now, and it's starting to really have an affect. I managed to get on two trains by myself last week, which is something I have never done before, public transport is one of my biggest social fears. So obviously the therapy is helping... but it is time consuming.

However; I'm back doing my photoshoots now, and I have some shots from the past week to upload, as well as another shoot tomorrow.. so I'm sure you'll see more work from me soon.

I so missed my 10,000 pageviews lol! So when I get a sub, I will do a feature in my journal for some of my watchers!

It's quite disturbing when your 16 year old brother asks if you can buy some new hair straighteners for him to use.. but I guess he's at that age where his self-consciousness has kicked in. Perhaps that means he will start showering more than once a week, and when I tell him he has nutella on his face from eating it from the jar.. he will actually wipe it off before leaving the house.

Or maybe not.

This week has been a good one, and I haven't been able to say that in a while. The funny thing is, it was something so simple that made it so great. As some of you know, I have a social anxiety disorder, which complicates my daily life quite a bit. However, I was asked to do a photoshoot on friday, and with no one to assist me, I took the bus to Chester, by myself.. for the first time! And then I got the bus back... by myself ^.^ It may sound like such a simple task for some people.. but to me.. it's an achievement I never thought I would accomplish in a long time. As some days, it's even too difficult for me to leave the house.

I feel this year is going to be a complete turning point in my life. If I keep up the Cognotive Behaviour Therapy and the exercising like my doctor suggested, I think my confidence will be as good as it's ever been.

I lost my grandad last week, after him being ill for several months.
I've also had to quit my job, due to my social anxiety disorder, I've been getting really sick lately due to work even though I'm on medication for it.
It appears I'm in quite a sticky situation, so I have to figure out how to get myself out of it. If anyone has any idea what kind of job I can do with a social anxiety disorder, please let me know

The third feature of the series for unseen artists has been put together earlier today, the last two were quite popular, but not popular enough for the cause intended. Basically the feature is for those who need more critique on their work, and to recieve quite a bit of critique the artists must get their work seen in the community. This project takes a lot of work to put together, so please help me promote this article; [link] and I will happily continue the series. Not only can you help by promoting the article, you could comment or critique the artists featured instead.. which is what the article is fully intended for.. Or add it to your favourites to give it more exposure. Any help you can give, great or small, would be extremely appreciated by me and the deviants who have been featured.

Extending the series
If this series does become a success, I was hoping to extend it for artists who work with other mediums such as digital art, traditional art, poetry etc. Please let me know if you think this will be a good idea.

If you live in the Flintshire area and would like to purchase some never worn gothic/costume clothes, a portable tv, a VCR machine or two CD racks in the shape of a bass/guitar or a purple alien... then let me know. haha.

Anyway, Im going to try and put the video footage we have onto my computer... I spacked it up yesterday.... you could see my brother dancing around on the screen, but you couldnt here him talking.... it just made a really horrible screeching noise. :S

We found some woman with video camera equipment who was filming another woman for something, I still don't know what she was filming for... maybe some bollocks for ITV wales... or possibly S4C.
Though it was probably just for some silly school documentary where they learn about the dangers of the woods... or something. As nothing ever happens here.

I don't know when I'll next get out with my camera.. but I have to go to shotton next week... so I'm eager to take it with me. I can only imagine what depressing photographs would come out of that situation.

I have no idea where to take it though, considering this is Wales and it should be all lovely and scenery like... its completely opposite to that where I live.... instead its scummy and filled with scallies........

The only place half decent is wepre woods, but that place already fills most of my recent deviation's subjects.

Any ideas of what subjects i could use in the great outdoors?

BUT Matt does not have to work tonight, so when he comes home from college I will feel alot better <3 Missing him loads as christmas retail is a nightmare, and he has to work alot of extra hours.

I am working on a new site project, I have a quarter of the content finished already. I'm picking my hobby back up of horror fantasy and gothic art, and I'm making a clip-art website.. woo yeah. I'm also making fan icons, site graphics, cliques and other things that relate to horror and all things morbid.

Lol.. because I'm cool like that.

I can't get back into writing.. and it's made me feel quite dumb cause that was the only thing I was able to do. Now I'm concentrating on my photography and web design alot more, and I seem to have lost my writing muse. I know that I will come back to me one day.. But I'm frustrated.. that's why I haven't been on DA for along time.

Oh well...................... forget it.

I'm going to go back to KV for a while as I'm just about to sell another web template for like 7 USD muhaha.. maybe then I can afford some targetted traffic.

P.S. can you guys give me some links if you know of any good resources.. like horror brushes for PSP7 and PS7... as well as fonts, glitters, gradients, patterns ... well anything that may help me in my project.

Without a doubt it's a big, interesting and versatile community.
But isn't it amazing to always see the same artists on the frontpage every single day concerning the fact that so many new deviations have been submitted?

We're all aware of that and believe that this has to change. It is already quite difficult for the "unknown" artists to promote their work and gain more attention.

Clearly, we do not intend to deny the skills of those great artists who enrich the community by sharing their magnificent work. But we do intend to enhance the platform in such a way that "unknown" artists might get a real chance to draw the public attention to their own pieces of work by promoting it on the front page of the community.

In our opinion we think it unjust to only have the chance to be represented on the front page if one has the luck of having many watchers.

We would like a better system which allows a deviation to be seen on the front page if, for example, it has 'only' reached about 40 favourites and about 200 views.

Take a look at the actual situation: You have uploaded an impressive piece or art that gets faved according to the number of your total views/watchers. Then, however, a more popular deviant uploads a more or less 'average' deviation and automatically reaches more than the double of your favourites/views in a mere moment.

A new structure of the frontpage could enhance the actual competition on dA, i.e. popular deviants wouldn't be able to best the "unknown" artists by posting a rather average deviation.

A reasonable alternative to present the "daily top favourites" on the front page would be a bigger amount of thumbs which would show the 40 best deviations of the day in a random order.

We think it's in everyone's interest to change the current situation and make dA a place where creating and sharing unique art plays a far bigger role than scrambling for new watchers.
