Okay *DogFeathers had a small chat with me, and says I need to not leave you guys or PYF in the dust. I do feel stressed because of it and all of what has been happening on my end of this world. Yet, I have something pleasant happening here. So Maybe I just need to get rid of some old worn out things, and extract the good things from this account. I guess, start fresh?

So, my yellow foxy account will always be around, but I suppose its a time passed in me. I'm on to different things, and I hope to challenge myself more artistically and conceptually. I sit around too often complaining about what I don't like. Best start trying to make something I do.

That's what I will do then. I will extract what I have learned and earned here and move onto bigger and better things...

My goodness, I finally get back online and I find that I have received Daily Deviation award. After getting blasted by viruses, and having to wipe my computer, I've been out of the loop. Thank you *talliesynn for the suggestion, and ^Katmomma for the award. I am truly flattered.

I just can't wait to load Photoshop back onto my comp. I have to figure out where I stored all my discs. Until then, everything has been put on hold. I'm praying my files haven't been altered in anyway. A few of my images returned to me corrupted or pixelated.

While I have been without Photoshop, I have picked back up on Kingdom Hearts II. I never finished it because I got mad at Twilight Town. Its takes a hundred years just to get out of there!

It's also been very humid lately, but today there was a cold front that brought in dry, cold air. I think Autumn wants to step in. I'm glad, I've been looking forward to it.

Oh well, thanks again, and back to searching...

I don't remember having a weekend as terrible as this past one. There were a lot of things that went really well, but there were some really awful things that went very badly. Coming home tonight, tired, brain dead, art blocked, with school in the morning, I cannot help but to be a little ticked off.

I guess right now, I'm just sad because one of my pets died while I was gone. My little bird Doc is gone. I don't now if I will b able to sleep in my room tonight without him being there; simply because he isn't there. It'll be so odd. I'm also very upset with my last job because they keep screwing up the payments they owe me. I just want to die (not really, but some one put me out of my misery plz).

All the little things kept getting messed up. Like the toilet not working and having to sleep on the floor every night...freezing to death because I was right by the vent. My costume didn't get finished in time, so I didn't get a chance to wear it. There wasn't really much to do at the con unless u had a photoshoot to go to. My bf, *DogFeathers, can't keep his dog anymore. My friend's kitten died. The list goes on and on and on. I've not even mentioned half of it fir fear of sounding emo. I'm just so at a loss for effort right now. I just can't try. What nearly broke my heart is that I couldn't draw a thing on the paper table at the con. We got lost on the way home too. being in that car for so long drove me insane.

In better news, ~blustar9 and her brother ~Leader-samaX69 will be in Japan next year. Star asked me if I wanted to go, and I said something the the effect of HELL YEAH! Sama is going to further his culinary art education, while Star will be there to soak in the experience and study the local martial arts. Me, I'm going with sketchbook in hand and wacom in my pack to take in all I can.

Of course, I will have to save up my money if I want to go. So, until then Ill be packing away my paychecks and learning a new language.

Okay, I figured I'd let off some steam, and tell you all exactly whats been going on, that has me all higgledy piggledy.

HOW IT STARTED:
(innocently enough)
Weeks ago, when my friends and I were all getting ready for A-kon one night, *DogFeathers gets a phone call from his sister. For the sake of keeping this anonymous, for his sister's sake, she shall be called Soma. Now, Soma tells her older brother that their mother is being taken to jail. Feathers and I are astonished, because nothing like that has EVER happened in that household. People have gotten upset and one another, yes, but COPS? JAIL!?! WTF?!! So he gets in his beat up old car and rushes to get home. I wait at our friends house, because 1) I don't really want to get involved and 2) its really none of my business. I do ask him though, via text messages, to call or text me if he needs my help. About an hour goes by, and he finally asks me to come see him. Something terrible has happened and he needs me there.

So I leave, letting those left behind that something is wrong, and that we'll try to be back later if not tomorrow.

I drive to the house, and there is a police car out in front of the house. Before I can even park, the cruiser turns off its lights and heads off. *DogFeathers is outside in the yard, looking pretty terrible. Obviously, my first question is "What happened?". He then tells me the story...

SO YOU DONT GET CONFUSED:
*DogFeathers has three sisters. There is Soma, who I already mentioned. Then there is her twin sister, who we'll call Dedra. They are identical twins. They are both 16. Then there is there 19 year old sister who we'll call Claire. Claire is a teen mother, with a 6 month old baby girl. Then there is *DogFeathers the older brother who is 21.

Okay....

THE NIGHT IN QUESTION:
The females of the house were there that night, arguing over who would wash the dishes. Really, no one wanted to. Soma didn't want to do them. Dedra refused. Claire said she didn't want to either. The arguing got escalated. For one reason or another, Dedra thought it would be a good idea to attack her sister Claire. So, naturally, Claire defended herself. In the mists of the hissy shrieky cat fight, Claire left a few scratches on her sister along with a bruise on her cheek. The mother, who was completely inebriated, decided to call the police on Claire (the one who was attacked). While the cops were on their way, Claire decided she was just gonna go ahead and do the freaking dishes. While washing, Claire was taken by surprise when her own mother came up behind her, grabbed her by the hair, put her on the ground, and started beating her. Then the cops showed up.

They arrested Claire, because she had left wounds on her younger sister Dedra. Claire was charged with assault of a minor. The mother was also arrested. She was charged with assault. Yet, the whole time, the mother was trying to explain to the officers that she was "defending" herself from Claire.

They were taken in separate cop cars to the county jail. The cruiser that I saw leave, was the one that was carrying the mother.

SO NOW WHAT?:
That evening, after I got there, *DogFeathers asked me to stay and help him take care of the 6 month old baby. The teen mother was gone. The "grandmother" was gone. So it was up to us. Now, you would think that Soma and Dedra would help us with the baby, wouldn't you. Soma did, and we were ever so grateful. Dedra, however, wanted nothing to do with anyone.

The next day, *DogFeathers and I are worrying that CPS is gonna show up and try to claim the baby. So, Soma invites some of her friends over and they start cleaning. I help and so does Feathers. While we are cleaning the house, our friend ~blustar9 shows up. Her house was the one we were at last night when we got the call. She's here checking on us, because she hadn't heard from us. We told her the story, and asked her to help us clean and watch the baby. Fortunately for us, Star used to work at a woman's shelter. So, she is really good with little babys AND knows a lot about CPS cases. So, while she holds and watches the baby, she tells us what the CPS officials will look for when they look at the state of the house.

School is soon to end, and I cannot wait for summer to begin. I have A Kon 2009 at the end of May to attend, and I haven't been able to work on my cosplay much at all. I should have enough time within a month to complete it. I will also be able to finish the commissions I took before this semester really began. Thank God... I swear, this has been one of the most time consuming semesters of my college career so far. I assume it only to get worse in the future.

I also have not really been doing anything in the way of art lately. Being so busy has sucked a little bit of my soul away, and there's been no drive behind my art. I've sat there a million times wanting so desperately to draw something, but have been lacking the magic.

I don't really know what's going on w/ me anymore. No time for anything. School, observations, work, studying, trying to have a relationship... I'm loosing a bit of all of it.

I'm sorry for being to so quiet lately. I've hit that college year that no one ever hears from me again. I've come to a point of exauhstion and fear of failure.

DogFeathers and I aren't together anymore. It ended last night. I really don't know what to do for people anymore. I'm loosing what I have to give. Trying to put my heart into anything is failing. Everyone I know is having trouble, be it with money or relationships. Two of my friends apartments have fallen through. One of which I was going to live in, but now that won't be happening.

I want to turn into a house cat and run away.

I just got finished watching "The Cat Returns", by Studio Ghibli, and I am in SUCH A GREAT MOOD! I could leap off the walls! After such a long time of depression, fears, and plain anxiety, I finally have a piece of something warm and good. Its very much like the tea I had this morning. I think I'm going to try and make it a ritual. A frothy cup in the morning sounds wonderful to me. Today seemed ominous too; a ten hour shift at work. Ah, but everything is lovely now.

Ugh...

I suppose this week has been stressful. My house finally got power just yesterday. Day six. I did not enjoy having to sleep in heat. I did not enjoy eating dry food that did not spoil; like chips, crackers, peanut butter, etc...; over and over again. I did not enjoy going to work, IN the DARK, with NO air conditioning, with LITTLE I could do. It was not enough to make a stink about. But it didn't help.

This evening, I was out with my friends, and we ran into my RECENT X. It was very awkward for me. My stomach turned in and over itself. I had to go to the woman's room to calm down. I was embarrassed.

Then the movie turned out to be very awkward and disturbing. Maybe I just have a weak constitution, and in couple with my unbalanced state, I was either going to wretch or cry. As the movie broke, I made a bee line for my car. My friends called out to me. This one guy, whom I think fondly of, came chasing after me wanting to know what was going on.

I really didn't want him to see me cry. Of all people. I hate for ANYONE to see me cry. I always feel so lowly and awkward.

Tonight was a great wonder of social brilliance.

A certain hurricane has recently stormed through the city. We are without power at my house, but I am lucky enough to borrow a friends computer and check a few news sites and my school site, as well as dabble here on dA.

Just so ya'll know, we're fine. We're not hurt. Our house held up pretty well, but we lost a lot of trees. I'm talking about A FREAKING LOT of tress. Some houses were not so lucky, in that they have trees going through their living rooms and bedrooms. A good number of windows were blown out.

The worst of it is, the gas stations and the grocery stores are bedlam. There was a near riot the other day at a grocery store over ice. The police are carrying rifles now, in case there are any more upsets.

At least we had a coldfront come in. Since the ac isn't working, its been a blessing... I just hope I don't run out of gas soon...

I am taking my first art class this semester. Really, it is not the first idea of an art class. In fact, one girl came in, asked where she was and was very disappointed. This is Art History.

Somewhere in the betwixt puzzlement this old woman brought to me, she said something striking to me. Here on dA, as a community of artists, we have journals and are very capable of sharing feelings and common happenings. I'm sure every artist here, fresh or experienced, hobbyist or professional, can agree that in this day an age, the artist is worth nothing. It seems that NO ONE, with such painstakingly sought skills, are so abused and so under appreciated as the artist. Does being an artists pay well? No. Hell no.

This strange, aging, neolithic creature (my teacher), inserted a thought into me that struck me.

Long ago, when mammoths were the main source of food, the Artist was the most powerful of the tribe. It was the artist who could take a 3 dimensional animal, and have them appear realistically across the cave wall. It was the Artist who created the spiritual and magical essence of life. It was the Artist who recorded the people's daily lives in blood and iron. It was the Artist who was capable of planning and showing and communicating via images and pictures. It was the Artist who was capable of power.

Where any of you able to go to the anime convention, A-Kon 19, in Dallas? My friends and I went for it just this past weekend. For me, it was the first convention I had ever been to, and as my friends have indicated, its a very good "first con". There were tons of people and dealers. There were so many amazing cosplays. There I saw one of the Amaterasu's I've seen here on dA. I also saw that princess Mononoke and her white wolf. I HAPPENED to meet the band manager for the Varseilles, and got a signature from the dude who does VG Cats. My friend Megan met the girl who does the voice acting for Winry Rockbell from FullMetal Alchemist. I believe her name is Caitlin Glass.

I had two costumes for the event. My first was a mini skirted version of a kimono. My friend liked the costume too, so she hurried to make one a few months before the con. The other was a full body Lucario. It was made of faux fur and "pleather". Dang was that sucker freaking hot. But, I was able to help beat the Guinness World Record for most people gathered in one spot dressed as video game characters. The former record was 80, now its over 650.

I'll post pictures soon. I need to get all my friends together for their cameras

For any of you who do not know, that's Squishy. Squishy has been to A-Kon's 15,16,17, and 18 as well. You can see him on myspace. He goes to all kinds of cons, and as it has been said "Once someone has touched Squishy, they are automatically made more awesome than anything.. EVER. Squishy radiates pure good." Isn't he KYOOT?

I've been trying so hard to get things done lately. I just can't put my heart into it right now. School is building on me like a disease, eating from my energies and raking all of my mental capacity away. I was going to enter into one of the anthro contest, but I didn't have the time or the vigor.

I feel dull. I feel gray. I cannot wait for this school semester to be over with. I'm still trudging on with my term papers. Starting them is harder than finishing right now. Usually its the other way around.

Things between my bf and I are not so good. Its one sided now. He treats me like a child. The worst thing is that he badgers me about my school work, when he never even finished college. I miss being single and I miss being free.

In other news, I found out that my ex is getting married this summer. Funny thing is, I'm jealous. I'm in no position to get married or even think about it. I think the greatest difficulty I get from knowing about it is, that I've never encountered this before. Having some one you've dated get married. I suppose I'm reaching an age when more and more of those I know will be finding some one. I'm not mad. I'm happy he found some one. It's just a foreign experience for me. I'm a little sad that I never got to tell him the real reason why I broke up with him... *sigh* I never wanted to. My parents stepped in and threatened me to. I'm just betwixt myself as usual.

This heart still beats. This minds winds on. I'm just over loaded with school right now. I haven't drawn anything in over a week. I really want some one to come and pet my hair. GOd, I love that. I fall asleep. It just feels so nice for the little strands to tug and tangle

It's like 2:30 am and I can't sleep...So I've been goin' through my gallery. To be honest, I really think I have improved since I've been here on dA. I appreciate every one's comments, be they critiques, approval, or just silly nonsense fun! There has been a great increase in my esteem for my art, as well as the technical advancement. I could only go so far on my own. dA has shown me a grander specter of ideas and "ways to do things". Not to mention all the tutorials i have read! My favorite being about backgrounds.

Anyway, here is some of my really old crappy stuff from back in the murky, dusty crevasses of my gallery...

~Some interesting facts about the creation of PYF:

*at first, she was gonna be a wolf
*once decidedly a fox, she was gonna have three tails
*she was also going to have reddish or orange "tips" on her tails, feet, ears, and nose
*her eyes have always stayed green
*she's always been yellow
*the black streaks from her eyes down her nose was intended to be like a trademark (recognizable)
*she's ALWAYS been a kitsune and ALWAYS been a firefox
*she's NEVER had a "nose", just the impression of one, and I don't intend on ever giving her one
*she's ALWAYS had the branches, and they've ALWAYS been lemon trees
*PYF was first drawn as a quad, NOT an anthro

He should have died.

I am thankful he didn't, and humbled by it.

My boyfriend works in local law enforcement, and is out on the streets as a patrol officer. Last night, there was a chase involving him, a car thief, and several other officers. To make a dreadful story short, my boyfriend ended in a crash, totaling the car, and taking out a lamp post. The car was totaled. There was hardly an inch of space left inside.

He's fine. Yet, all he keeps telling me is that he should be dead.

I hardly think of how easily i can be crushed, poisoned, starved, stabbed, or in an accident. I don't think I have ever been struck with such a premise so deeply. In school, at work, on TV; they're constantly talking about the dead. It becomes mundane. Common. All I can think about now is what would have happened if he did die.

I feel sick in the stomach about it all.

Yes, I'm tired. Just picked up a new sport, the first in a few years. Tennis.

Ah, its so much fun. Of course, I have no coordination yet and my racket keeps flippin' out everywhere. Still, I'm enjoying myself and have hit a few really good ones! Serving is no problem. That's a breeze. It's getting the hell over to the other side of the court that's tough. That dang ball keeps goin' over the court fence too. Like I said there's been those few chance hits that as a photograph could go on a sports magazine. I tell you what, you have to yell and make those crazy sex noises when reaching for and hitting those though to get to shots. Now I know why it always sounds like crazy, rough sex on the televised tennis matches.

Ima go now. Take a hot bath and some Advil. Playing so hard made my calves and right arm sore.

Not to rag on Vegetarians or anything, in fact I know there are a few ppls who watch me who are vegs heads, but I learned something today...

Way back when the evolutionary process of man was taking place, there were a series of "humanoids" that died out for the soul reason that they ate only veg. Their cousins, who ate meat, were able to develop more advanced brains because of their diet.

There's also the fact that back then, they ate veg and no supplement for meat. Veg heads now a days have SOME sort of supplement be it vitamins or peanut butter (in most cases).

JUST A FUN FACT FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT CARE

I love it when Vlad takes me down town to the grocery stores or out to eat. That's were all the oriental families live, and where all the street signs begin to turn from English to Vietnamese or even Japaneses. There's even a sprinkle of Arabic...

The reason why I love it? Because people stare at me like I'm butt naked. Of course, I'm fully clothed. They're eyes go so WIDE! "What the HELL is that white girl doing here!?!?!" "Is she LOST?!!!"

At first it really made me scared, but now it's kind of funny. Having the ability to grab some one's undivided attention like that is almost unimaginable. It's like you're in a different world.

Today, we went to go get some fried fish for dinner. While I was waiting for Vlad to come back to the counter, several of the guys working on the other side of the counter started yelling at me in what I think was Vietnamese and waving they're butcher knives in the air. The fish was ready, and they didn't know how to tell me in English.

The funniest of it all, is that Vlad's family, which is Filipino, call me the "white Filipino". I eat fish, blood stew, and a lot of the other BIZARRE stuff his family makes. Plus, when we go to the store, I know what to look for. I also usually get a few treats for myself, like Pearl Soybean Drink w/ gelatin, or grass jelly drinks.

Don't you think that feature is deserving of a DD? I do... it's anthro too...

Let's see, its rainy and depressing here. Two of our six pug puppies have found their new homes. I swear, I'm going to wonder about them always. The people we sold them too are very nice, and I believe they will make good pug parents. Still, I was there when they were born, I've been there as they've grown. I feel like they're MY puppies. They're MY babies... *sigh* We're selling them for 300 apiece. All but one is spoken for; a little male by the name of Spartacus. They have all gotten their first shot (for parvo and distemper I believe).

My heartstrings drip with afternoon rain and mournful lullaby's.

Hello Valentines day. This wondrous time of year when chocolate sales skyrocket and anything heart shaped is marked for a higher price.

It's never been my favorite "holiday". Although, I am lucky enough this year to be with some one in time for it. We're not doing anything too special. Just going out to eat at one of his favorite restaurants. Mainly, I’m giving my mom that card I posted along with some little things.



I'm also working on several sculptures at the moment. An interesting first for me, as I am used to doing only one or two at a time. ~nmnighteyes's wolf is almost half done, and ~j3nov4's first place sculpture prize is almost done. I have to fix her hair, her feathered wing, and detail her left hand. Oh, and put the lemon branches on the mini PYF she's holding like a bird. It will be a very interesting piece!

Oh, and I got my hair cut...REALLY REALLY short...in fact, shorter than I wanted it, because my haircut lady forgot to give it a little bit of slack because of the layers. So now, I look odd. I could dress up as a guy and paint a fake goatee on my face. I'd be one feminine lookin' fella...even with fake facial hair.

Also, the pug puppies are getting to the point where they are going to be sold soon. Perhaps in two or three days. They've already gotten their first set of shots. It seems my boy wants to keep the runt. Her name is Snow White. We named her that because she's the "whitest" of all the puppies. Already, we’ve given out one. His name is Frank, LoL. Tonight we’re loosing a second one; Roxxy.

Anyway, have a good "holiday" if you choose to celebrate it. Have a warm cup of tea, and nibble a bit of chocolate.

Well, the date line for my contest draws ever closer. TWO MORE DAYS! The 3rd is the very last day I will accept entires. So far, I've had a multitude of wonderful entries, which you can see by clicking the contest stamp below. Thank you so very much, to all those who have entered. We're not far away from 20 legitimate entries, which is the line at which subbies will be added to the prizes.

As well as using my own point system, I will be asking for the contestants to vote. Each person will have two votes. As another side note... I have had several crazy dreams! In one, I was being accused as a murderer, and the funny part is I had no idea who was killed, how, or even much about why they were accusing me. Okay, commissions are closed again. Sorry. Today I bought more supplies, so I may continue work with the ones I have.

There isn't much else to say. It's somewhat cold here. I'm used to it being in the 90's to 100's, so 70's feels very cold to me. I'm actually wearing coats when I go out.

Today, I have a lot to do. I will also be very busy for the next few weeks. School, commissions, puppy sitting, etc...

OH! And I have a question for any one who watches anime... WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED IN BLOOD+? All the sudden Diva is pregnant! And by Riku! Then Saya says she is going into hibernation for 30 years! *drops to the floor in disbelief*

School is back in session, and my time has been restrained once again. I am open for commissions, but I am going to tell you now... it might take awhile. I personally think I need to make the hair a little more "pink" but I'll wait to see what you think.

My contest is coming to a close on February 3rd.

Other than that, there isn't much going on. I'm done being sick, but tired from it. I am literally worn out. Having to wake earlier than I am used too isn't helping either. I'll get over it.

Oh, did you see my doe stamp? I guess it's not technically a "stamp". But it's neat to look at. I was going to make a few others, and wanted ideas for animals. That was very fun to make, in that it was something I'd never done before. I learned to use Image Ready with it through a tutorial. I'll tell you another thing too...some people do not know how to make a tutorial. They mean well, but they don't give clear enough directions. They assume too much of their pupils. Oh well... I'm sure I couldn't make a good one.
