These last few months have been a period of constant change of direction. I have now got my A level results and am reapplying to go to a better uni than I expected too. All the hard work did finally pay off!
I am taking a gap year this year and will be going to work on the vinyards (hopefully in New Zealand) and am currently waiting for my placement confirmation. In the mean time, I am starting a creative writting course and a viniculture course. I have a lot to pack into one year! But it will be fantastic.
However, I am still waiting for everything to fall in to place, which is taking a lot longer than expected. Therefore, I am feeling dispondant and have written very little. Although, ideas are flowing in a full speed.
So expect great things yet!
Good luck to everyone begining a new acedemic year this September. I look forward to reading all your new work.
Peace out. Don't stop.

It seems like ages since I last posted a journal, but then again I seemed to have slowed down lately - only producing occassional pieces. I used to write poems quickly, in a trance-like state, but now I seem to spend days, weeks on them, until I'm finally happy. Maybe I'm just a bit picky?
The main reason for my slow way of life and thoughts is that my final year of college is about to come to an end and therefore I have exams, coursework and stress pouring out of my ears. I can't wait until it's over, but at the same time I'm so determind to do well. Suddenly it feels like the last 11 years of my life are in my hands and I will either shine or drip slowly through my fingers. (I hope the previous!)
Good luck to any one doing exams this Summer. And to anyone who isn't doing exams this summer - you are so lucky!
At least I'll have an extra long holiday afterwards, and then a well deserved Gap Year!
Everything is in the balance.

December 12th was the last day I wrote anything! O Dear!
Shortly after writing Philtre I left to go to South Africa where I was able to rest and catch up on... life a bit. However, I unfortunately wrote nothing. And since my return, christmas and new years celebrations have left me empty and dry. It was also my 18th birthday December 30th and I suddenly feel stressed, responsible and rather middle aged! I have re-takes next week and am dreading going back to college. I have been working really hard and taking on probably far too many extra shifts. I can't wait to get back to the pen and paper, or rather the pen and paper returning to me exploding with thoughts. Wish me luck for a really difficult last year at college, at home, in the UK and in education.
I hope you have all had a fantastic festive season and are taking it slow. All the best for 2007

Hi!
I've finally managed to break my writters block (touch wood!)
I wrote quite a lot over the summer, but then I struggled through september, as dry as a bone, and with only the odd piece trickling out.
My new pieces are quite urban and quite modern, a very different style for me, so please let me know what you think. I also saw a poetry and music fusion tour called "Phased and Confused" which was brilliant and one of my local poets, Brenden Cleary performed several really inspiring pieces. Get out there and see any poetry performances you can, it'll be well worth it and really encouraging for anyone out there who's stuck, blocked, or simply needs a head-start.
I hope you are all well.
Have a brilliant Halloween tomorrow.
I've returned again, this time from Greece. Getting away from the city really gave me some thinking time and allowed me to break through the still waters in my mind into some fresh and new ideas and work.
I am also writting, as you may have noticed, lyrics. My friend 6feetundereverything is a musician and I am helping him with his lyrics. Therefore the songs with obviously be very different to my usual style. Please tell me how you feel about the lyrics as this will be helpful in my development of songs and style.
I hope you have all had a great summer and I wish you good luck with the return to school/college/work.

I have a big poetry competition coming up which is really important to me! The theme of it is 'A Building'. No inspiration has come for a new piece, however I think I could use some of my old work. I was going through my portfolio and found several pieces which could be themed under, 'A Building':

Bramber Castle
Thoughts of an Excentric
Sixty Boxes Again Please
Without Warning
Dark Room

There is also a 48 line limit! Stupid I know!
Please help me to choose the correct one to submit, this is really important for me and my A level course. If you have a second to spare, I would really really appreciate it!

Also I have to hand my entry in my Tuesday, so don't work if you don't read this until after 28th Feb 2006.

Thank you very very much.
