I'm sure it'll meet with mixed reviews. I'm talking fan reviews, not actual, tangible, official, "I swallowed a thesaurus when I was twenty-three and now speak in tongues" reviews. There are somethings I was dissatisfied with (NORRINGTON I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU), but overall I found it to be quite the enjoyable movie experience!

Translation: it fucking rocked. Despite the extreme overuse of the friggin' rum joke. And schizo Jack was slightly unnecessary. Not to mention, what the douche is with Elizabeth kissing everyone? I think she really wants to piss fangirls off. She's practically signing her own Death Note by invading James territory. That was our one place of solace, Keira. Damn you to the depths!

Personally, I thought the acting and special effects were more than up to par (other than Orlando, but I'll get to that later). They packed it so full of action sequences, fishy monsters and betrayal that it was a little distracting at parts.

Back to Orlando. Boy, learn to act. And by act, I mean actually do something skillful. Don't just stand around like a broken umbrella because you look pretty. Furthermore, you weren't even that pretty in this movie. I'm not sure what it was, but you just didn't have the charm. I blame that burgundy shirt. Stop getting sloppy with the wine. Seriously, even the moments that were supposed to be heartwrenching, "Oh, poor Mr. Turner!" moments just left me completely unfazed. Maybe because that's how Orlando is. All the time. And I never thought I'd say this, but he just may possibly be a worse actor than... yes, that's right:

Keanu Reeves.

In fact, it was so bad that I'm almost certain an impromptu cameo by everyone's favorite One would have actually improved the movie by leaps and bounds. Orlando's effectual eye candy, to be sure, but he's like a bad habit one outgrows. Fangirling Orlando Bloom is comparative to smoking weed: he's a gateway actor. Sooner or later, you're going to realize there are bigger, better, hotter things (with more range), and pretty soon you're shooting up Patrick Swayze in a back alley with some guy named Thor.

Okay, maybe not Swayze. But Alec Baldwin hardly sounded like a sexy metaphor.

All in all, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End was a collosal success for me. Now if they'd only stop screwing Norrington over, I could die happy.

Speaking of which, it's time for a semi-serious journal entry. SRSLY. Art class is really opening my eyes. Doing all these projects I'm genuinely not interested and/or invested in is telling me something: I really prefer writing. I look around and there are people doing cool shit in art class. For seriously. But I'm just half-assing my way through. Whereas, in English, it's the exact opposite.

That's not to say I'm not artsy. I've got creativity out the wazoo, bbcakes. (WTH is with all the lame LJ chatsp33k. No moar!) But I would much rather be writing than gluing newspaper onto posterboard in the shape of birds. (SRSLY, Mrs. Yamaoka. Not everything is about birds and Kamloops. But maybe I just can't "digest" your artsiness.)

WAIT. Side rant. You know what I find really hilarious? Mrs. Yamaoka constantly says "digest". We have to "digest" art. Mr. Yamaoka constantly says "regurgitate". We "regurgitate" information. Together they make up one bitchin' digestive tract. I wonder what their kids' first words are? Probably something or other to do with the larynx.

I like to think I'm good at composition. Not so much with actual materials (I could be if I tried), but with textures and brushes and many things Paint Shop Pro and wonderful. Iconing is so much damn fun.

Okay, well, I was going to continue, but there's not much else to say.

Apparently mom told Elyse what a good writer I am. Because... you've totally read my writing, mom. I seriously don't intend on letting her read any of it. It's so uncomfortable.

Okay, really? We had this assignment in English today to choose one of three sonnets and do a little report or whatever on them. Most people chose the Sonnet LV, by Shakespeare. So the first people to present it went up and wrote the iambic pentameter on the board.

Strike one: spelling "gilded" as "guilded". It was horrible, but I let it slide.

So they continue on with their presentation and they get to the part where they have to list off four poetic devices they found in the sonnet.

Strike two: the elision "besmear'd" being pronounced "bez-meered". That one made my eye twitch, but it was just a small slight. I laughed it off.

So the next people go up and do the same sonnet. They make the SAME pronunciation mistake. By now, my hands are balled into fists, my knuckles are white with frustration, but I do nothing.

Strike three: interpretting the poem as a poem solely about war. WRONG, DOUCHEBAGS.

So they go back to their seat and the next group resumes the horrible torture-fest and subsequent gangrape of the English language. Again, "besmeare'd" is pronounced with a somewhat Texan accent (and by now I'm banging my head against the wall to stop myself from slaughtering everyone in the class), and they interpret it wrong again. I really am about to scream.

I go up. I tell the class the RIGHT way to pronounce it, as well as correct the spelling error of "gilded" on the board. I also make a rather intellectual remark about the allusion to Mars and consequentially to Ares, Greek god of war. Then I say the correct interpretation, which is that memories will outlast the most lavish of luxuries. I take my seat, confident that I've taught these infidels a lesson about pronunciation, interpretation, grammar, and mythology.

The next group goes up. They have learned nothing. They say the poem is about "love, death, and war". Then, they drawl out "bez-meered" again, raking it across our ears like nails on a chalkboard. (Which, at that point, I actually would have preferred.)

Of course, all that was nicely topped off by Blair's (another person who interpreted the sonnet completely and soul-shatteringly incorrectly) comment: "I really enjoyed interpreting Shakespeare's work."

I lost it. I had a fucking attack. I started hyperventilating and wove my hands through my hair, wanting to peel away my own scalp if only to make the madness stop. When I say I started hyperventilating, I didn't do it jokingly. I really did. I'm that much of a grammar Nazi.

And it's not even solely the fact that I'm a grammar Nazi. I mean, poetry and I have a rather affable marriage to each other. What they did up there was HOMOCIDE to my MOST BELOVED SPOUSE. They dragged poetry up, tied it to a post, brought in a bunch of kindling, beat poetry with it, and then burnt it alive. And when that was through, they dragged the remains through cow crap and then spray painted a Marx Groucho disguise on it. Today, poetry was murdered.

And I'll tell you something, by the time the bell rang, I wanted to BESMEAR THEIR GODDAMN FACES ACROSS THE GRAVEL.

I just went through a traumatic experience, and if it ever happens again, I will actually walk out of the class.

They all need to take remedial lessons in Not Being a Stupid Douche 101.

Aye, the Christmas season is upon us and I, for one, am loving it. I don't say screw Christmas, I say screw the people who say screw Christmas. It's a great time of the year. Everything smells nice and looks better covered in snow. It's touching. (Not in a Michael Jackson kind of way, though.)

Anyway, onto something art relevant: WUTUFUH? Freh, getting better at art sucks. I mean, it rocks in the sense that it's good, but it sucks because there are so many things I want to draw but I just won't. I decidedly refuse. On this list of basically just fanart is: Cloud, Reno, Kadaj, Vincent, L, Sexjus, Jin, Mugen, Axel, Demyx, and plenty of other delicious animen. (That's anime men, for those of you who just suck at conjunctions.) I just won't draw them, because I know they won't come out looking as good as I want them to, and I don't want to butcher them with crap drawing. So I'll just have to wait until I do get pretty good (which I predict is a year or two, judging by how much less shitty I've gotten in the past two years alone) and then I'll draw them.

That's my resolve.

Something sad is that I'm actually ashamed to submit drawings to DA. I have plenty, but I won't submit them because I don't want to be another crappy artist on this website. So I just keep 'em to myself. Sucks, though.

Anyway, how about we talk about something I'm good at now? Writing. Frick YES. I'm just going to be a braggart for a second, so excuse me for being a bitch when I say: I FUCKING ROCK HARDER THAN ALL THE RETARDS IN MY CLASS. (You aren't retarded, Sadie, don't worry.) Seriously, I'm writing essays at a university level. I get angry when she doesn't use my assignments as examples, since I always get one-hundred percent on them. But I know why. It's because they're too good. (I'm not bragging now, I'm just saying that's actually the reason.) They're so good that those idiots can't even fathom. They wouldn't understand my A-ness. God, my mom's cleaning noises. Seriously, does anyone else's mother emit such annoying, lethargic noises? It's really starting to bother me. Whenever she's cleaning something, she sighs or grunts or goes "PHOO." It's SO ANNOYING. It gives me a headache just thinking about it. And speaking of getting headaches, her TV shows and the stupid dog bounding around the house with his damnedable tennis ball made my head hurt so badly that I couldn't even write. MOTHER INDUCED WRITER'S BLOCK. It was so bad that I couldn't even write a poem about writer's block.

YEAH.

Anyway, speaking of my idiot canine (Not caninja, as some would have you believe. He's too stupid for that.), HE RUINED MY TV. Yeah, I'm not kidding. Imagine my utter horror and state of distraughtness when I plug in the PSOne to play Final Fantasy VII (which I RLY wanted to play, FYI), and it doesn't WORK. And you know why? HE PEED ON IT. Oh, I was PISSED. (Shut up, it's not a pun, don't laugh.) I locked him in his kennel and gave him a stern talking to, and then kicked inanimate objects for a while. GRR! I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THAT GAME! Or any game, now that I know I CAN'T. Frick. Stupid dog.

Yeah, so, I'm watching Get Backers and rather liking it. JICYWW. (Just In Case You Were Wondering). I kind of found the Death Note movie boring (as it's just a reiteration of the anime episodes [like all anime/manga movies]). The L actor was cute, though. I watched that scene a couple times and deleted the movie off my computer and went back to watching Get Backers. And Bleach. And I was going to watch Rurouni Kenshin but the quality of the video was crap, so I deleted it and plan on redownloading it. JICYWW.

I discovered a new hairstyle. Technically I discovered it awhile ago, but only tried it tonight. You know Rikku's hairstyle in FFX, with the ponytail and face-framing bangs that has the two braids around the neck? Yeah, I've been waiting for my hair to be long enough so I can do it. AND NOW IT IS! Jubilations! I think it's cute and I'm wearing it AWS. (As We Speak.)

You know what's nuts? What's LIQUID NUTS? I still haven't stopped hearting Organization XIII. I KNOW, RIGHT? It's been a long time and my attention span is still going strong. Partly, it's because of Sadie, and also partly it's because the Orgy is just SO AWESOME.

Speaking of things relating to, of, and around Sadie, my neck itches. LUL, I opened my copier (copyer [SP? lul]) and found a bunch of my old art. Now I don't feel so crap about my current art. HA. I actually found the original sketch of Hatori and you guys are totally write. Talk about a pea for a head. x3 I still like it though.

Still waiting for the day when I become super awesome at art, so that I can draw sketches of my favorite characters and actually like them. (I want to draw Cloud and Reno and Vincent and Tifa and Axel and Demyx but I can't because I know it'll suck. D': ) But if I keep at it, it's eventual, so yay for that! While we're on the subject of characters, I've created some. You wait and see.

Yes, I'm about to go into English teacher mode and over-analyze things that were never meant to be analytical in the first place. Prepare yourself.

So, a lot of the rant is (and this is really the only part that relates), that MC Chris didn't see so much as a "Sebastion the crab for, like, a hundred millenia", and how he had to play through the entire first part of the game as Roxas, who's not even the main character ("Sora's the main character"), and how it took him "like, four years". I can't help but think that's exactly how I feel about art. Like, I know one day I'll be good at it. Considering the leaps and bounds I've made in the last two years, I have faith by the bucketloads. I could even sell faith on eBay to hardcore cyber Christians and Jehova's Witnesses and still have enough leftover to fill the Grand Canyon and then some - that's how much faith I have. But I feel like it is taking me, to quote MC Chris, "like, a hundred millenia".

Seriously, you ever think about that? You look at your art and you say, "GOD DAMN, that's crap. Can't wait until the day I'm good." But it's just like Kingdom Hearts II: in order to get to the "fun fuckin' part of the game", you have to get enough experience ("munny") to get that good ("to get on the dope ass Disney train"). That's what you have to do. And you know what? It sucks. I want enough munny now, damn it! But just like running errands in KHII: I'm not going to get it without working for it.

It's a truth I've known all along, but that rant really put it in perspective. So, in short, there are two lessons to be learned amidst the unsuspecting, politically incorrect wit of MC Chris:

1. If you want to get better, you gotta work for it.

2. Kingdom Hearts II relates to very single facet of your life, whether you realize it or not.

TT____________TT I want some ShinoguxHatsumi goodness nooooooooooooooow. Gruh! I am kind of unsatisfied with the ending of Hot Gimmick twelve. Shinogu becomes a monk? A freaking MONK? "Oh, well, damn. I guess she'll always think of me as her older brother. Too bad. Well, time to worship Buddha!" What the frick? I'd like to see how Kazama reacted to that. xD "Dude, no. Wait... does this mean I can screw your sister?" I love him so much, he's such white trash. And what's the deal with the, "We're getting married, that's an order." Wow. WAY TO BE. Why, I'll tell you!

This fourteen year old (thonggrrrl13) has been chatting with this guy on the internet (lensman314) for three weeks, when they decide to meet (he's like 30, btw). They wind up going back to his place because she simply insists on hearing his bootleg mp3 of a Goldfrap concert (I don't know who they are either), right? So, anyway, he makes her a drink, but she says how nowadays they teach them young things not to drink anything they haven't mixed themselves.

N e wai, so she goes and makes new drinks and they go around the house sipping their slapjackets or whatever she called them. So, the guy's a photographer, right? So she tells him to take some pictures of her, and she puts on this techno CD and jumps on the couch and proceeds to take her shirt off. So the guy starts taking pictures but then he gets all woozy and lightheaded and stuff, and passes out and she's like, "OMG o noes u okai?" and he's all like, "*faint*".

So, anyway, he wakes up. Tied to a chair. And she's there, and she's like, "Yeah, you know how I said never drink something you haven't mixed yourself? That's good advice for everyone." And then she proceeds to investigate his house because she suspects him of being a child molester and a murderer and it's really awesome because SHE'S really awesome.

Mostly, because, like, for once, it's not the little girl trying to get away. Makes me happy. Really happy. And I just think the acting is really good and the way it changes colors fills me with joy and glee.

That's right, folks.

I just went to Hard Candy Mountain.

Oh, would I?

And as I sat there, drinking a soda pop and munching away some chips and chops, I began to puzzle over the possibility of maturing (physically), and never acquiring such a friend.

Alas and alack, this little girl began to grow, and soon entered a large and intimidating realm known as: high school. And still the unanswered question pestered and nagged her, chewing and nibbling at the back of her mind until it drove her nearly mad with uncertainty.

Who would she talk about video games with? Who would she talk about anime with? Would she forever be condemned to sit alone in her room reading manga, and be forced to ask instrospective questions? Could she face the damnation of attending yaoi conventions alone? Would she be nothing but a withering closet otaku, forever fearing the scorn of others?

But then, one day several months later, she met another such young girl. Not long after, a friendship flourished, and they found in each other the fellow nerdiness they had always craved. No longer was our protagonist frightened of a world without Japanese influenced cartoons and video games. No longer would she fear to spread the gospel of the Playstation 2 and the delicious love child of Disney and Square Enix that was Kingdom Hearts.

She was no longer afraid. And as the demons that pestered her slowly began to fade to dust, she relaxed and welcomed the comforting notion of never having to conceal her obsession all things nerdy again.

KH2 = best game ever. Better than PSYCHONAUTS. And THAT'S saying something! So good that my enthusiasm to write about my enthusiasm for it overshadows my normal anal rententive attitude towards bolding and italicizing emphasized words! THAT MUCH! I have been playing FOREVER to get to the part where Axel says, "I'm so FLATTERED!" because it's so sexy. Of course, every scene with Axel in it is sexy. I love it when he says, "Burn, baby!" So many moments make me laugh. Like, "Maybe they were only stealing pictures of Roxas..." and then they all don't care and walk away. If I were Roxas, I'd be like, "Yeah, who cares, I've only got a STALKER! Not to mention not even an normal stalker, if such a thing exists, but a FREAKING MUTANT RINGLING BROTHERS STALKER! Did you SEE that thing? That's like no contortionist I'VE ever seen! But, no, it's not that important. No big deal, let's all just walk off into the sunset and go on with our lives, even though I might be schizophrenic! But, hey, we've got better things to do, right? Oh, Roxas. xD And when they were on the clocktower laughing at Hayner because Olette said he'd explode from eating ice cream, and then Olette and Pence started laughing? That was TERRIFYING. Seriously, she'd laugh, then he'd laugh, then she'd laugh, but never at the same time! WTF? I think you know your friends aren't real when they have rehearsed chuckling sessions over something that isn't even that funny to begin with.

I laughed at the ulcer comment, though. Oh, Hayner. And Setzer's a faggoty fox. And when they were looking at the stolen pictures, and Hayner was like, "Oh, look, this one is Roxas with a girl!" and Olette's like, "He looks happy." and then there's the short pause before Roxas says, "Do not". I love it, because you know what he's really saying is, "Shut up, bitch, you know I'm gay."

FRICK. And when Kairi sends the messaged bottle out to sea, and says, "Right, Sora?" It reminds me of the time Stewie from Family Guy said "You want some so-da?" She pronounces it like she's got freaking DOWNS SYNDROME. Which actually isn't far from the truth.

I loved the Struggle championship. "1, 2, 3, STRUGGLE!" Like... what the hell? That's the BEST they could come up with? Why not something like "spar!" or "do battle!" or something other than "struggle!"? I mean, how much struggling can you possibly do with a big foam bat, anyway? Actually, I bet Axel and Roxas do a lot of struggling with big foam bats. In Axel's room. Nekkid. :innuendo:

So, yeah, in short, I LOVE THIS GAME. Frick. I'm so... like... ADDICTED. GOSH. Hate Goofy though. Goofy can go suck a railroad spike. And thanks for being basically useless, Naminé! All the cryptics were REALLY helpful!

So, today was the second day of the school year. It's exhausting, but I'm actually learning this year! Grade 11, woo! This semester I have Chemistry 11, English 11, Rock & Roll History and Math 11. It's pretty nifty. In Rock we basically just sit there and listen to music and have discussions about Pink Floyd and all that good stuff. I enjoy it. I'm afraid to do my project though, because I don't want people to stone me to death for liking Rent. It's a rock opera!

In other news, Yunie's bringing KH and KH2 for me to borrow tomorrow. FINALLY! Now I get to perv Axel to the best of my video gaming abilities! Aside from that, nothing really great going on. Anyway, yeah, it's been awhile. A lot of stuff is new with me. I've been working on my art a lot, taking mental notes at every opportunity in the day. It's helping a lot. Otherwise, some trivial teenage stuff's been going down. Failed my math midterm, surprise surprise.

My hair is dyed. Be jealous. It was dyed like a month ago, actually, but then I went to camp and all this stuff happened and long story short: I am one lazy byatch. Anyway, it's pink in the front, black in the back, and it's quite rad. Also, totally sideswept.

Yes, I've gone over to the dark (and emo) side. And, for the record, upon your initial transference there, they do NOT have cookies. But they do now, since my mom bought some. PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES zomg.

So, Happy Zombie Jesus Day, two days ago. I totally thought it was Easter on friday, and convinced my mom of it too, and then she went to work wearing all this Easter stuff and yeah... that was pretty embarrassing for me.

Who here's goin' to Warped Tour? *raises hand* ME! Yaaaay! I'm soooo excited! And I'm totally hooked on this one song by The Fall of Troy, called F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. Kurt sent it to me on MSN (before I realised what a prick he was), and now it's always in my head.

Yes, I'm terrible. It started with two, and it just escalated and escalated to a whopping fourteen.

On another note, though still vaguely related (well, more than vaguely, I just really wanted to say the word 'vaguely'), I also apologize for not submitting anything in the longest time. I'm putting off my submission to the BJ and CB club, and now it's too late, and you know what?

I really don't mind.

I also really couldn't come up with any ideas for it, but mostly it's procrastination. Also, if I color anything (which I'm actually improving at), my scanner makes it crappy, so I'm trying to steer clear of that for a while. Adam thinks it might be my video card, but I seriously doubt he has any professional insight into the situation, given he's 15 and all.

Also, this time on a completely unrelated topic, I am sick. Coughing, wheezing, can't taste food, the whole shemozzle. Yes, it does kind of suck, but I'll rough it out. It's been going on since thursday, and although I'd like to miss school monday, I'm really getting sick of not being able to taste food that should be delicious.

And, you know, being sick.

So, anyway, time to set up the recent events of my life in a completely non-chronological order! Today I had a Socials test. Didn't pass it with flying colors, but I did pass it. Wewt. My final mark for Science is fifty seven percent, which makes no sense at all, because on the second to last Science test I raised my mark five percent by getting eighty three percent. This last test I got eighty nine, and yet my mark stayed the same. I think Mr. Andre is on crack. Anyway.

I drew this bat thing on my hand in Sharpie. It doesn't look like a bat at all, but it would make a cool tatoo. My hands smell like Sharpie, and it is intoxicatingly disgusting. There's so much Sharpie on them right now. I need to pick up some red ink, some black printer ink and some prismacolor markers. Don't let me forget!

I also gotta get back into reading Interview with a Vampire. Which won't be hard, it's a REALLY good book. TOMORROW I HAVE TO GO TO THE DENTIST! The evil man gets to stick me with needles until I cry. Very evil. They need to sedate me more. Much more. When I get sedated, I look like I'm on something. Seriously.

The pumpkin drop at my school is redundant. First of all, it's retarded and not exciting at all. Second of all, it's exactly TWO WEEKS after Halloween! I mean, can you say WTF? Like, seriously. That's just... redundant, man.

Let's see, what else is new in the life of Pointsetta that no one cares about? I really fricken want my scanner. My binders (both of them) are full of drawings, and there's a big pile of drawings upstairs, but can I show anyone? NO! And they're actually not bad! Where as the only ones I can scan are bad and old. GOD DAMN IT! Mother says we're saving up for one, which means I MIGHT be able to get it after I start my first week of college. -_-

(I'm 15. That was sarcasm.) So, I got lots of chocolate from Halloween. I'm so stuffed full with candy, I can't eat another bite for like... a few hours. Or something. I probably have to go to kickboxing tonight. Guk. It's good for me and all, but it's not very fun. Just kind of tedious.

Also, I'm going to start teaching myself the basics and advanced technics of shading and coloring. I'm really pushing myself to advance my art, and hopefully one day I'll learn to paint and computer color. I've drawn something that I would really love to CG, but can't, since, you know, no talent in that department. I will one day though, mark my words!

Let's see, what else... School's going okay, I suppose. I'm barely passing Science, but all I have to do is make up a few tests and I should be able to scrape by with a C plus. In Socials I got paired up with Twitney, Becca and Dustin. Two preps and an asshole, it'll be fun. I think that's all I have to say for now.

Oh, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I've made a contribution to the holiday, but, again, no scanner. It's the one I want to CG, so one day it will be on here! Just, you know, a couple months after the holiday. xD All righty, I'll probably add more to this later! Ciao! Oh, now I remember what I was going to say. Since I'm such a huge MCR fangirl (you have no idea. Seriously.) I'm going to begin my adventures into realism, portraits and shading with some good old fashioned sketches of the sexiest man alive, Gerard Way! I'll begin working on the first one tonight, with any luck, but I really need to get some shading pencils to do this thing properly.

Also, speaking on My Chemical Romance, who here is going to the Vancouver PNE Forum concert on the tenth? Can I get a hell yeah!? My best friend and I are going, and we're making a sign. We're not sure what to put on it, but we've decided definitely not "WE WANT TO FUCK WITH GERARD!". Even though it's totally true. Hot damn, he's sexy.

I'm also saving up all my money from now until the concert so I can buy a whole crapload of merchandise. Wewt wewt! And have you seen the MCR dolls? They make me giggle.

All righty, now that's REALLY all for now! Check back again soon, and I will be submitting more art! I have tons more, just, as previously mentioned, no scanner.
