I don't come here as much as I used to and while I'm thankful for those who watched me and enjoyed my work, it's really hard to seek any critique. Compliments are great, yes, but I don't feel like I'm getting anything out of staying here. And thank you to those who pointed out the many flaws in my works because I sure as hell am not perfect

I don't have any fancy equipment. All the models used are either friends, relatives, or myself.

Oh well.

As promised, if I decide to leave dA for good, I'll take everything down with me.

here for more details. And no, you're not getting paid as much as I'm not getting paid, sorry ^.^ However, I'll treat you to lunch as an alternative...provided that we're not going anywhere fancy and that what you want is reasonable.

+Getting a job. I had my reasons of leaving the last one...which I won't really bring up. But money issues suck, and the gas prices have spiraled upwards. Plus, my goal of saving for a Canon keeps going down, literally. So now, I have to save up for my tuition for fall first ($222, not including books). Yeah, it's one class because I found out I needed that class to get my associates. Blah

+Finish writing "Blindfold". Actually, it's about 65% done to be honest. You can find it on my FictionPress website (Link found on bottom). If I'm successful, I could start on the story notes for "The Midnight Game" in at least August or September.

+What the heck am I going to do for my 21st birthday in a few weeks. Seriously. I haven't really put much thought to it. Plus, nothing wrong with hitting clubs, except it's not always a top priority for me. Maybe Kriz can buy me some drinks to make up for the $35 he still owes me!! >.< !! Hmm...I guess go out and drive around with a few friends to North Shore. That is if the gas prices actually calmed to a reasonable level.

+Try to lose some weight despite the horrible humidity that's soon to hit. Actually, I dropped a pants size while I was in Cali and the pants that I dropped the size on is unusually loose. Meaning I could slip in and out of these jeans without worrying too much on the zipper and buttons.

+Learn one song on the guitar without relying on tabs so much. Thanks Jason for lending me your guitar.

+Save enough to get a Wii. Actually, Kriz and I made a somewhat pact on splitting the costs of getting one (I think it's about $250 or $295 at the moment) if it becomes available again because of the fact that we are tempted to kick each other's ass wholeheartedly on Super Smash Bros. Brawl. But for now, we have the old school N64 version.

+Attending my cousin's graduation party in August...I think. Oh well. Am I the only one in my age group that graduated in '05? Actually...yeah. This also explains why I seem to have grown up more with the guys instead of the girl cousins [who are either 4+ years older or a lot lot younger]. It's not a big deal once you reach 17 or 18 but when you're a kid, the thought of guy talks in a romanticizing way can be almost foreign.

Don't you just hate it when the people you're collaborating photoshoots just either ditch you or stand you up completely. Ugh! Would it be wrong to start a strike system that if those who want to do shoots with me suddenly don't get back to me regarding it [either phone or message], they won't be able to do so with me for an amount of time?

+Yes, we're not professionals.
+Yes, no one on each side is getting paid. Unless maybe for a a free lunch. The only thing I really charge for is if they want me to develop it at the store and/or buy frames.
+Yes, we're doing this for fun and the sake of getting together after god knows how long.

Because our schedules vary, it's more appreciative if they left me a message or called me, even at the last minute, to say they cannot make it due to conflict. But to just leave you out there completely. Ah! Don't freaking waste my time anymore! I don't understand why people do this, much less the people who don't mind if they were stood up.

I had been in a relationship with a guy who would do this to me most of the time. Except he made the plans and then completely just does not show up, even without a hint of a phone call. I'm freaking tired of dealing with people like this.

Lack of Communication: My biggest pet peeve.

At the very least, you could have called, messaged, anything to say you won't be able to do it. I'm not trying to be persistent when it comes to sending messages but when communication lacks, then it's really frustrating, especially for me. I took the time to message you with what could be going down. The thing you could do in return is message me on whether or not you're up for it. And if you decide not to do it anymore, then at least say something instead of being the ignoring type.

Most likely more looking forward to a shoot that I'll do (date to be determined) when I'm at California with my cousin. And by the way, I'm leaving at the 4th, not the 3rd. I was misinformed about the date. But at least I get to deal with a couple of chores as well as packing.

School and my writing projects are taking up a lot of time. Not to mention that I have three collaborations under my belt so I'm pretty much not going to update too much for the time being.

I'll try to leave some critiques and comments, and maybe even favorites. But probably not going to go on a updating spree until spring break possibly.

There's talks of me going to LA with my family this coming May for a cousin's wedding.

Sweet Tooth piece I posted recently). He then goes on to say that I should get one of those "big cameras" so I don't have to photoshop so much.

Photoshopping is fun of course but I think my pics in general may come out in better quality if I get a better camera.

Problem is, Nikons and Canon range from $500-$1000

After looking over my photos and such, I decided to get back in to it once more only because something fueled my passion once more.

At least school is over. But it has been rainy and windy and I guess the wind decided to do something to the electricity because it knocked out some utility poles and trees and my internet has been working off and on.

If anyone must know, names of personal friends and family members are changed or shortened due to privacy reasons. So if I get their permission to post their real names, then you'll know.

I'm not so sure on this but I might consider leaving deviantART. I don't really know yet. Mentally and physically, I've been burnt out completely. If I do, however, I might take down all my photos along with it.

Plus, not that it's a huge big of a deal, but the lack of help and constructive criticism does lead to uncertainty on how I could end up improving. Compliments and praise is fine but so is critique. And since I have only started my account this past November (yes, it says I joined in May but I didn't do anything to this account until November of this past year), it's probably too late to make some impression, or lack thereof.

Just for the record, I'm not whining about "Oh, how come I never get comments for my pics? Oh how come no one pays attention to my stuff?" I believe the kind of people who watch your works matter more than the quantity of people.

I don't look for how many people have commented. But the kind of critics I get.

And yes, I know my pics aren't top notch. I don't have any fancy equipment on me, although I'm attempting to save up for one.

Schoolwork and life is just really putting me under an induced stress trance.

Photography hiatus

As some of you have noticed, some of my self pics lately have been based on old works I posted on dA (ex. Faceless Woman / Drowning Pool).

I haven't had time to take new photos of anything lately due to school starting.

I also will not have the camera for about two weeks in the beginning of January because my mom needs it for her trip to the Philippines.

So at the moment, I'm practicing photo manipulation by using other people's stocks, which is really my first time doing since the manipulation I occasionally do is with my own photos.

Feedback for the photo manip works will be great since it would help me out and see what I need to do.

So yes, no pics shot by me for a while, other than the three I need to upload.

New Drawing Tablet!!!!

Yes, I recently got a new drawing tablet (Wacom brand) so now doing artwork is a lot more easier and faster. Usually, it would take me days to finish up something fancy but this kicks ass more!! I got an interesting paycheck this past week and thought I could pour something out a little (the tablet that I could afford is $117.26 at CompUSA)

Anywho...*crickets chirping*

I think I'm most likely going to post my works when I have photos or if I find the time.

I've been really busy with my writing and life, not to mention undergoing a lot of stress with perhaps the simple things.

So don't be surprised if I'm not here on a regular basis. Though I still am in awe of some of your work folks. It helps me to do better with only a digital camera, a photo program, and whatever lighting is in store.

Another Hiatus...for now

I'm not sure when I'm coming back, really. I've been too lazy to take pictures or update some artwork.

I'm currently saving up for one of those tablets that you could hook up to your computer and draw stuff with the magic pen. I have sketches uploaded on to my computer but using those paint programs is really hard to do with a mouse. So we'll see.

I do come and check other people's artworks but I've been busy with writing my stories. Currently, I have a fantasy story (which after being halfway done with details and such, I haven't come up with a title), a collection of stories based on where I work, as well as a twisted fairy tale book called "Unhappily Ever After".

Photography is simply a hobby of mine. Not something I would make a professional career out of but it may be something I could fall back on if my writing career doesn't work out. I'm really inspired by everyone's photos...and dare say quite envious because I don't think I could attain that level of achievement at the moment.

As you pretty much know, my camera, nor my photo programs are special compared to what others have. The camera I use is really just a digital camera (as seen in my deviantID) I've seen many pretty photos and I look at mine and it's kind of hard to compare really.

But maybe one day. Who knows. Everyone's photos have inspired me in some way. Some of them really help me a lot on my sketches, which I'm rather horrible in drawing clothes

So, the hiatus is on for now so don't be surprised if I'm not back for a while. You guys know how to reach me if you need anything (some of you are on my MSN so hehehe).

Exams and projects need to be dealt with folks. I have photos I'd love to update but I'll be returning fully on May 7 (when my last exam is over).

I want to sleep. I swear.

I'm worried that my unofficial commissioned work hasn't made it to the receiver's hands And he's moving on the first of May and it's almost the end of April

Anywho, I just came back from work and need sleep. Round 2 of hell-a-shish work coming tomorrow. I don't want to work....but alas, it's the price for having the week off

And my boyfriend, he's still not feeling well Something happened with his teeth and they gave him some kind of morphine shot and he still feels like crap and can hardly talk. -___- If only he was here! I need someone to keep my insanity in check and tomorrow is no exception with what I have to do.

Plus, I'm working on two commission works now that it's Spring Break. But a week's worth of break along with other things doesn't seem enough. Don't be surprised if I'm not on for days. The longest I went without coming here was almost a week

I'm lacking sleep folks. And I seriously do not want to work tonight. Heck...I'm not supposed to go to work until Saturday but apparently, a co-worker of mine has to take a week off for whatever reason it may be so now I'm working his shift...sort of. My weekday shift is still the same (5-9/10...mostly closing shift) but on the weekend, instead of working from 4-10, I work 10-4!

I suppose this is okay, granted I'm getting paid this Friday...I hope

Updates and the 6 Habits

Okay, I haven't had time to do any photography due to school (ugh!) and work (double ugh!!). But...I have unofficially commissioned myself to do a painting of a friend of mine. And when I mean unofficially commissioned, I mean that friend of mine has no clue so it's going to be a surprise.

happened to tag me and now I have to write 6 weird habits/things/hates about myself and have to tag 6 friends after this. Sorry dear, I'll write the 6 habits but I'm not sure who to tag. Hopefully you'll manage to catch this entry though

1) I have a very odd sense of humor. There are times I would crack jokes out of the blue and some of them are not funny at times.

2) I'm a nostalgic person. Yes I still have my SNES and N64 *caresses all Mario games she possess*. Maybe I'm just too lazy to buy a Wii or a PS3 (I always thought the PS3 looks bulky).

3) For someone stocky as myself, I'm actually good at DDR (though not all the Heavy and Challenge songs mind you!) and Pump it Up (Korean version of DDR). If you've seen how I look like, then you'd be amazed.

4) If I really want to hurt someone (especially guys), I'd poke them on their sides...hard! Yes, I could go for the groin but I don't want to make it obvious

5) A lot of people think I'm good looking (even my guy friends) so how come I don't get the guys *blank stare*

6) I like being called weird. Because if I was normal, then I would be just like everyone else *blah* and I don't want to be like everyone else.

had this contest for their original characters going on and that whoever wins would get a drawing based on their character drawn by him. So I thought...eh...I'll give it a shot.

Just checked in today and he said there were 70 finalists for the contest and I was like..."Whoa. That's crazy!"

Only when I was commenting on his journal entry I was among the finalists.

So anyway, I finally paid for all my classes...that just leaves the books...and I skipped Biology because it was just too much for me for the day. Probably would update something this weekend but it's not a guarantee.

Well, I decided. Hopefully by this weekend, I'll start scanning my artwork whether it be from oil pastels (except for this one artwork that is rather large to fit in a scanner) or sketches/art for my manga Akuma no Sureiyaa X (Demonic Slayer X)

Okay, for those full of curiousity, DSX is my "ongoing" manga project that I've been working on since high school but due to my studies and such, I haven't had a lot of time to draw a lot of the strips.

But to make things short, it's about a 15 year old girl named Ceres Miyako, a girl who goes to an elite junior high and pushing herself in her studies to be accepted in Kokubun Academy, one of the most prominent high schools in Japan. It was only after her mother had been killed by a Satanic creature that she had been told by a satanic elf that she is the reincarnation of the legendary demonic slayer who had failed to destroy the dark lord in the realms of the Underworld. A 1,000 year battle has been promised and in the millenium later, it is slowly taking place.

Not much of a summary but all I will say there's an interesting array of characters, complicated story lines, and three chapters (equivalent to what you would consider three tv show seasons).
