Anyways. What's Up?

I've been really in to my art lately.. and I haven't been talking much because I don't want to be just some social whore on this site (No offense. I love being a social whore, but it is so distracting to what I really need to do to get better.)

But, I really do appreciate the faves and comics and hope to deliver better work in the future.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic
(absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas
cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we
need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at
which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a
soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As
for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different
religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their
religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these
religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we
can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they
are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.
Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's
Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay
the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are
added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls
enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until
all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in
Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes
over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year
that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take
into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two
must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already
frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen
over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is
therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the
existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept
shouting 'Oh my God.'

I'm depressed tonight so I am going to write. I feel alone. I am Christian, but I am not one of the oh-so glorified preacher/crazy nut you see on TV. Most people seem to have Christianity wrongly understood. It is not just some religion that is faith/feeling based and nothing more. The bible and it's truths just make sense to me. It also cannot be disproved by history (I'm not saying that it is absolutely proven either, that is where the faith part comes it.) But it is a pretty simple concept if you really get down to it. Humans fell into a sinful existence from which it is IMPOSSIBLE to get out of. God wanted to offer us away out of it because he loves us unconditionally (that meaning that we are pieces of crap who don't deserve it). He used Israel, a nation that was his chosen people who would bring forth his son, Jesus. Jesus came and was the ultimate sacrifice because he was blameless just like the sheep that were sacrificed in the past. This is where people get it wrong though. Most people are stuck in the mindset of SELF-GAINING salvation. That is that every religion requires a person to be blameless or try to attain self-righteous. The correct mindset for Christians is that no matter what we do, we cannot attain righteousness and that only through Jesus can we have hope. There is this very touchy subject today about religion and not offending people. Should I offend people when I say that I am a piece of worthless shit who can only find hope, truth and reason when I rely on my true savior? I find it hard to get by right now because there is no one to turn to. I feel alone in my values. I don't feel like I will ever find a mate who shares the same values, especially with today's fucked up youth. I don't want to be rich, I don't want to have power. I just want someone to love, someone who can make me happy without trying. I don't want sex to be involved in the relationship till marriage. I want someone I can be with not because of physical reasons but because of spiritual reasons. It has to be what I want right? That's where my selfishness comes in. Fuck me, I am truly a piece of shit. Sometimes I just feel like I need to go devote my life to charity or something, but I can't because I'm a lazy, selfish piece of shit. Sorry guys, this is a little bit emo I guess... but I am tired of thinking of only myself. I get depressed when I look at myself on the inside. It's not a pretty sight. Why can't I say what I want to say? Why can't I be kind to every person I meet? Why does my own insecurity have to get in the way of being kind or just connecting with a person? Why does this world think so much differently than I do? How can I find a sense of peace in my constantly distressed head? Why can't I break out of my class system? Why does everything seem to be segregated by groups? Why are there so many qualifications for being labled? uggggggggghhhhhhh...... sorry for being such a downer guys, but I need to get the load off somewhere.

Now yesterday I put in a hard days work taking out fences around my Grandpa's house. It was difficult yet rewarding. It's been a while since I've done that and the feeling is great, especially with ice tea and chicken and mash potatoes afterwards. The work made me appreciate simplicity in everything. It's not like a job where bullshit is dealt with on a regular basis. It's like sculpting the land. It is an art. My hands were torn up at the end and my Grandpa cooked up the best steak ever afterwards. The only thing missing was a cold beer (damn the 21 age limit).

I put in my two weeks in at work on Friday after an agonizing day of putting up with the bullshit that I never get when working on projects with my Grandpa. I was asked to basically set up an entire food stand for a swim meet that took place at the gym which is a part of the theater I work at. I'm a concession stand employee. Why the hell was I doing so much extra work without getting paid more.

Anyways, afterwards I went to a Doobie Brother's concert (after getting into a fight with my boss because he was going to make me stay later than I should have at work.) These guys are amazing for being so old. They truly are a jam band. I went with a lot of friends and met a lot up there. We had a great time at the peer afterwards. It was too bad it couldn't last longer. The concert itself was not as good as the Foreigner one that I had gone to at the same place the year before however.

I'm kind of nervous today though, for everything that's going to happen in the next few months. I'm going to put in another full day of work tomorrow at my grandpas and then see Pineapple Express afterwards.

Tell me how all you guys are doing. I'd love to hear from all of you .

I will have a big philosophical explanation in my next journal so watch out!

I'm freaking out. I do this everytime I get overloaded on doing nothing. My attention span turns to nothing and I can't concentrate... Ughhh..... Probably the cause of all the quick stuff I put up recently.


Anyways, Doobie Brothers concert on Friday. I also just bought some really big paper, conte, and woodless graphite. Can't wait to get away from the charcoal for a while... (as you see from my last piece....)


K' well thanks for reading if you did. Arrested Development is so painful to watch (Sometimes I'm not sure whether to laugh or be totally offended). It's probably the best show ever though, and that's after only 14 episodes.

Well, time for another journal I guess. I got my AP scores back and they weren't good at all, hence the whole "grading art" thing. Anyways, I'm more depressed that I wasted 90 dollars than getting a score of 2 on it (out of 5).

About me...

I finally got my portfolio back from the AP grading thing (yet I don't know my score yet >.< and I got my favorite pieces of art back that I had drawn over the last year in my art class. I plan to upload them apart because all of them are special to me and I think they deserve some time each to be the #1 slot on my page.

Also, you may be suprised at the difference of artistic styles but that is only because I go through artistic phases. Lately my manga phases last a little over 3 drawings while most of the time I'm using either charcoal, pencil or paint. I am on the verge of another paint cycle I believe and then I might want to start doing realistic painting or something like that.

Anyways keep supporting me my friends as i grow as an artist and I hope that I can do my best to do the same.

In all, I see drinking or doing drugs as just being selfish. The person doing the drugs or drinking is only thinking about what can get him to feel better, while he is rude and dependant on the people around him.

Did I mention these things ruin lives. I am only 18 years old but I've seen too many kids lose their focus and just become retards because of bad decisions. Many, including one of my best friends dropped out of school because of
certain problems which I never was told about and sent to C-school. Many people who drink turn out fine, and even an occasionally whiff of the bud will not kill them. But really, it is only a momentary good feeling that people crave.

I guess I'm just not the kind of person who can really understand these things. Too many people are insecure and drinking (or binging should I say) has sadly became a part of our dumb society's meter of cool. This is slowly becoming the world around me... I have yet to become drunk and I probably never will... but it seems like 90% of the people around me do... and like to do it.

I will not encourage it, nor will I appreciate a person when they brag about their manliness with drinking stories. I have better things to do. w
