This weekend I'm attending Emerald City Comic Con (Seattle) and I'm cosplaying as a Sith Lord (inspired by Star Wars the Old Republic and my own character creation).

My Halloween costume this year was inspired by Mad Max (if you haven't seen the films, think Post Apocalyptic desert Wasteland inspired).
My boyfriend and I both made our costumes, starting with football gear, spray paint and then random embellishments.

I got a job! So things should be looking up for me financially. I've been working almost 3 weeks I think. And the pay is good.
I have just moved into a new home with 3 other roommates, the rent is very affordable when split 4 ways. Things are definitely looking up.
I'm finally feeling independent and I've finally taken a step towards greatly improving my self confidence and overall feeling of well being.
As hard as these new responsibilities will be, I think I can learn to handle them just like everybody else.

I'm moving out in August to a new home with a few roommates. For those who don't know, I have lived at home with my dad for years. I basically haven't been able to financially support myself because the economy is tough and there just aren't enough jobs. You're lucky if you even get a job interview. I am replying to online job ads and searching for anything that's around. But I will owe rent starting August 1st. I have a bit of money I've put away that I inherited when my grandmother died and that's my savings. Then today I spent about 3 hours in the ER because it was suspected that my stepdad was suffering from a heart attack. Luckily he's going to be fine, there was no sign of a heart attack when they went to look at his heart. But they're still trying to find the cause of his extreme pain. I've known for years how much erotica there is on dA, but I never knew it would become such an issue....
I've recently observed that dA is no longer enforcing their own rules, TOS, etiquette... whatever else you call it.
They don't allow the depiction of spread shots or bodily fluid (in this case, that which comes out of the genitals).
But no matter how many times these images have been reported, the cases are closed and the image remains.

And yes, it was a news article which brought this recent outbreak of spread shots to my attention.

The new deviantART Muro is here. And even though an admin told me there would be an option to disable it's use on our profiles/deviations... so far there is absolutely no evidence of that. The article doesn't even mention that as an option! I went to my personal settings as well as double checked if I could edit a deviation's comment settings and there is no setting yet to disable it's use. (If there is in fact a disable feature and they've just placed it in a ridiculously unnoticeable spot, please direct me to it's location so I can activate it). I worked it all out and it wasn't as suspicious as I'd thought. I was never like "oh my god how horrible" about it, I just wanted an explanation and I was given one. But it still stands, if anyone ever wants to re-create something, just credit the person and let them know. It's the polite thing to do. (In this case, my original image had been seen on ModelMayhem and the Photographer and Model had forgotten who it was by).

So we can all chill, including myself.

I got pulled into the ocean by a wave while modeling for :devzemotion:. I got hurt, but continued modeling.
Jingna explained her editing process to me and I wont be seeing the photos for a long time.
So by the time we see some, we will all probably have forgotten about it by then.

but ehh... now I'm not in the mood. I've been reading stuff about the BP Oil Spill and it makes me want to horribly torture the people responsible. I think what a lot of people don't want to confront, is that the damage that's been done is nearly irreversible. Sure the ocean will.. recycle itself or something like that, after a long time. But the species that are being killed and forced out of their homes in the ocean wont be so easy to fix. I'm not even going to get into all of the politics behind it. I started watching LOST from the very beginning. Through all the twists, turns, new characters, moments of pure WTF IS GOING ON, months of delayed air time.... and mysteries that well... still haven't been solved... I can say I will miss it.

The LOST finale made me cry...... and it's admittedly sad to see those characters go.

I wont give away any spoilers. But I will say, there were many many many times where I was like... "this show pisses me the fuck off, I don't want to watch it anymore". Yet for some reason, I kept watching it every time a new season came out.
