Saif: ...small village east of Stone Tower. It's...not really on any map.
Cadeyrn: Castletown. Lived there my whole life. Lovely place.
Aravind: Dull ol' Kakariko. Got outta that sandtrap soon as possible.
Odolwa: Woodfall. Warm, humid, fulla pretty flowers. I dig it.

2. Which deity or spirit do you hold allegiance to and why?
Saif:I don't really pledge allegiance to any spirits or deities. I honor the giants, though.
Cadeyrn: Nayru, of course. Goddesss of Wisdom and learning <3
Aravind: What now? I dunno. I guess Farore.
Odolwa: Giant of Woodfall, of course. We're homies.

3. What's your favorite color and why?
Saif: ...I rather like sunset pink. It's the color the sky over Ikana turns at sundown. It's quite pretty.
Cadeyrn: A nice cobalt blue. It's a beautiful, serene color.
Aravind: Orange. It just feels really vibrant and fulla life, ya know?
Odolwa: Green is nice. I guess I like it cause I see it most of all the colors.

4. Who is your greatest influence or hero and why?
Saif: ...my father is my greatest influence. I hate him. But somehow, I'm following in his footsteps by becoming a treasure hunter. Tragic.
Cadeyrn: Well, I do admire that scholar who aided the hero. Shad was his name? Yes. That was it. Nice fellow. Very dedicated. A little too obsessed with funny looking bird people, though. 8<
Aravind: I don't like to be influenced by other people or things. I'm my own person, ya know.
Odolwa: I guess I'm influenced by the Giants. They're kinda my bosses. And if I'm good, maybe I'll be a major deity someday. ;3

5. What would you want your last meal to be?
Saif: ...not really picky about my meals. But if I had to choose...a nice hot bowl of soup.
Cadeyrn:: I suppose I'd like tea, two lumps, a bit of milk, and some delicious biscuits.
Aravind: Does it have to be just 'one' meal? Can't I just have the whole menu and go out with a bang?
Odolwa: HA! Good luck killin' me! But if I had to have something...I'd say a keg of the best ale around. ...what? Booze is food!

6. If this was your last day on earth, how would you spend it?
Saif: ...settling old business. Don't leave this world with unfinished business. Or you'll be back. Or...*blush* ...nevermind! Settlingoldbusiness!
Cadeyrn: I'd read all my books over again. And ...probably invite some close friends over for a little get together. Probably have to write a will. Sullivan, Eva and Raj can have my books. And Kumar...since he can't read, he gets my ring collection.
Aravind: Bah. Everyday could be my last day on earth. I'd spend it the same way I spend every other day. Having as much fun as possible. <3
Odolwa: I'd get drunk off my ass and dance til I dropped.

7. If you could go back and change one event in your life, what would it be and why?
Saif: ...honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. Sure. Bad things have happened. But I've met some very special people, and been amazing places because of those 'bad things'. No regrets.
Cadeyrn: I wouldn't poke about in Father's lab, that's for sure.
Aravind: Pffft. Wouldn't change a thing, ya know? Love everyday, man.
Odolwa: Wouldn't let that smelly little Skullkid sneak into my temple. FUCK YOU, MAJORA!

8. If it was a matter of life or death, would you kiss Ganondorf or Tingle?
Saif: ...Ganondorf, definitely. Not into short, fat little men.
Cadeyrn: Goodness! What a thing to ask!! I'd...I don't know. ;o;
Aravind: *shrug* The big guy, I guess. He's got a sort of evil, rugged charm to 'im.

Christmas Update.

So. This was pretty much the busiest Christmas I've ever had. The last two days before Christmas were a whirlwind of crazy baking, wrapping, cleaning, cooking and last-minute shopping. My Mom and I didn't finish preparations until about...3am?

And then, in the morning, I was woken at 10:15 by our newest family member, Jewel (The Spinning Chihuahua Wonderdog), who wanted to go see Mommy. So. I get up. The house is freezing. Go out, get wood, make fire, take dogs out, clean up the large poo Jewel took on the carpet, clean up the garbage Cuddles tore up...

Bad way to start the day. But hey. It got better. Since we were so good about preparations last night, the craziness was minimal. Turkey was already stuffed, etc. Good thing.

And then present time. My list of awesome goodies are as follows:

My brother didn't come home for Christmas. Decided to stay at his girlfriend's place and play Xbox. >8C
But hey. I'll live.

All day has been quiet and peaceful, with none of the crazy excitement of previous years. But ya know, I kinda like it. Having an adult Christmas.

Now, we've just finished an awesome dinner, the little cousins have come and gone, my big brother went home a little drunk, and I'm full and content. Later is pie. Yet more happy.

I think I'll sleep quite well tonight. :3

Hey...any of you got lineart just layin' around that you'd like to see colored? If so, just link me to it, and I'll see what happens. Lately, I'm more focused on coloring practice then lineart or commissions, so....Yeah. Your linearts. I want them.

Updates, updates, and weather report

So, it snowed today. A snow that stuck. For the most part. Probably gonna be gone by morning, thank Christ. I'd sit and complain about the snow for a while, but I've got other things to complain about. Joy, right?

The last couple days, I've been cruising some of my old DA favourites, and there are so many artists that do positively beautiful work that borders on realism. And I'm thoroughly envious. I'm slowly but steadily getting to the point where I like my artwork, but I don't think I'm applying myself enough. Sure, I branch out and do little doodles that are more akin to pseudo-realism, but I never complete them or post them. If I start tweaking how I approach art, would anyone miss my super sparkly shoujo stuff? I know I wouldn't. ><

Any tutorials or resources that'd be helpful? Please, comment or note with some links, yo. =O

Anywho. Just thought I'd get that outta my system. Expect some scraps over the next while that are progressively less and less 'kawaii' ._.;

* Animals...are not a strong point. I focus mostly on human subjects. If you really would like an animal in a piece of artwork, we'll have to negotiate. Cats, birds, dogs, iquanas...that sort of things.
* Cars are right out. No chance. XD
* I will not illustrate recolor characters. If you just took a screenshot or a blank and colored it with a bloody fill tool, I will not draw your character.
* Bizarre as it may seem, I enjoy illustrating Ecchi or Cheesecake. It's a guilty pleasure. Male, female, doesn't matter. Be it cute and cheeky or subtly sensual, I love it.
* Romantic imagery is beautiful, and enjoyed. I have no qualms about sexual preferences. Male x Male, Female x Female, Male x Female. However, if you desire something more -intimate-, we'll have to negotiate.

Ladies, gentlemen, etc. In light of my current job situtation (my situation being that I get maybe 8 hours a week all of a sudden. ._. ), I've considered doing commissions. Not expensive ones, mind you. And first I'll have to create a paypal account. Which...is part of my question. I really have no idea what I'm doing in regards to payment. So, could one of you with a big heart and a big brain gimme a hand or somesuch? Just a comment or note in regards to creating one. Apparently there are two or three different kinds, and well....I'm on a mentally degraded streak right now.

It's kind of tough having all male senshi. Why can't I be normal and like female characters? Damn near everyone else has at least one female senshi. I, on the other hand, do not have a single one that I've bothered developing. This leaves me in a bit of a pinch when people start doing requests with open slots, as the majority are done with blanks, and only 0.000000003% have a male character. XD

This as actually an off-shoot account of my DA:

My new account will be mostly for Sailor Moon relevant artwork and requests, so that I'm not cluttering up my regular page with fanart. I was hoping to have Menkalinan be more for original works.

I generally won't be taking requests here, but will instead be taking them on Tower of Time.
