I've been busy with real life blues, riding the roller coaster of the day to day and trying to find time to get things done. Was in a wedding, went to some birthday celebrations, and caught up with family.

However, in between that I HAVE been trying to keep on...arting? Not that I can say much yet, since all of my stuff is all over the place in terms of content, style, and mediums. But hey as long as you open the brain tap now and then, I don't think the creative juices have a chances to dry up. ;D

I want to do more and post it. So I can feel accomplished. This is my new goal! >:) Fight fight!

Thanksgiving (and Friendsgiving ha ha) is coming up soon. So I'm hoping the Holidays to really crank stuff out. Promises promises lol.

What is everybody planning to do in terms of celebrating these next couple of months? :O Family? Friends? Eating a ton, and then feeling guilty, so you make resolutions to lose the pounds, only to decide you really don't care and those rum balls look delicious?

I know what my plans are. XD

EXPcon is coming up, so I need to scuttle butt on getting things done before then. I'll be delivering a panel there...and Anime Classroom if you will, with myself as the Professor. The topic you ask? Anything and everything Revolutionary Girl Utena. Manga, movie, anime, and video game...I'll be delving into the symbology, psycho analysing body language and motives, as well as shedding some outside light on parallels and hidden easter eggs that correspond to real life events! I've got duel chorus break-downs, name break downs, and even the good ole Relationship Board 2.0...this time with a bigger magic marker!

I've got a powerpoint presentation I've been working on(I've dropped some screenshots down below to give you an idea of the look) and I'mmaking comparison video clips, artwork blow ups, and working on getting some rose shaped candy to throw out ha ha. I'll even have a pop quiz for the suckers. Ahhh...I love the power of playing teacher! But I have to admit I'm nervous lmao... Ugh. Hope it goes well. I'll probably also bring my cello again.

Suffice to say work's been bogging me down but I'm slowly climbing out of the mirk. Rejoined Gaia Online again (ha ha, 2 years since I've been!) and am working to start RPing again.

I'm also working on getting a Rip Van Winkle cosplay together. Not terribly difficult I suppose. But I'm neither a seamstress nor a lady of wealth...so it's the best I can do on short notice ha ha.

I find myself wanting to be like some of my friends and take pictures in my old costumes to post online. But I'm worried about being labled a lame geek. =/

Gonna post a reasonable load of art soon too. It's been stacking up and I'm finally going through the pile. Everything from photomanipulations, to graphite sketches, to an actual comic that I never got around to making. Remember that Bumps in the Night series? Recently began work on both a fun hobby blog for the original Dear Chun Li thread that had begun on the AnimeMetro forums a couple years ago...as well as a website for the OLD OLD OLD Palace of Anime (where I actually take my name from). "Prince Pyro"? Yeah there's a story there...now let's see if anyone wants to bother actually READING it. I'm also in the process of making a cheap temp-site for The ConArtists group. More to come on that later.

Busy busy. Work takes up half my life, with World of Warcraft and videogames taking up the other.

I've been busting my butt lately working on stuff at school and finishing up college at the good ole Art Institute. And lately, I've also been working hard to act as an a combat actress once more for Tampa Bay's Metrocon Anime Human Chessmatch. Last year I had the role of Chun Li. And this year I have the role of Blue Mary. The show will be phenomenal, but the con itself is going to be absolutely amazing. I'm really excited for this year! You can find out more here:

The Red Bull Flugtag is also happening in the area at the same time. I really want to try and check it out.

Ho hum. I'm trying to swing back into the drawing thing, and recently finished up an old unfinished doo dah lyng around on my desktop. Hopefully the first of many! I'd also like to finish at least one comic. Just once! O__o;

Eventually I'll also have a demo reel and website up for my animations and artwork. I plan to post my flapbook there as well.

Ah it's the weekend...the time I actually can sleep in till a decent hour! Been working on a few portfolio pieces, turned in another magazine cover to my teacher. Who, speaking of which, is suppose to update his Now Muffins website with the results of the Addy Awards contest that the college and senior highschool students were allowed to enter. Here's hoping I did okay... ^^0

I've been doing the softball thing with my little sister...trying to get her up to par in time for their first big game. I feel old...its weird...

Nothing much going on here right now...I'm finally get my lazy behind on this comic book I was going to make 2 years ago...somehow put it off...but I finally feel I may be capable of producing the art and storyline I've always wanted. But of course, I could just be fooling myself.

Been working on a lot of buisiness type stuff for Commercial Art class lately...so far in the past two weeks alone, I've done a table tent for a resturaunt, two magazine covers, a series of sketches of plant life, and life drawings of animals...I feel burned out lately. Had to make buisness cards and tons of logos...and had to learn that simple is often best. I have a very bad tendency to overwork things and add too much. I have to work on backing off a project and let photography and clever layouts work towards my best interests in an assignment. It's hard though...heaven knows its hard...

I went to a gallery showing for the Addy awards, and got to rub elbows with some big buisness execs and pro artists. Very cool, and I got a lot of great advice. I really feel I've learned a lot since my freshman year, but I know I still have a ways to go... ^^0

My pin design also got selected to represent the Skills USA florida pin design for the National competetiton..I'm estatic! Things have been going great lately, and with competetions coming up soon, I've been working on getting ready! (But the world knows I can be a lazy slackard most of the time)

I'm going to try and submit a variety or things for my deviantArt gallery...so far all I've done is anime related things, with a couple of crappy photos and a poem thrown in the mix. But honestly anime has been pretty much on the back burner lately, and is something I really only do in my free time now. I'm not sure what sort of other things deviantArt will let you submit, but I'm totally going to look into it. That....was the worst Magic the Gathering game played....in the history of the Pyro.....she wiped the floor with my ass.....aww well...nothing to get upset over right?.....AS IF!!!
Let me recount a bit.....break it down, if you will

So Puckie-face says to me : "Hey! Let's play Magic!"

And I'm all like : "Yeah! Sounds great, but...umm....I haven't played in a while and my good cards got stolen.."

So she says to me : "No worries Mini-me, for I shall use my wimpy deck! No problem for you to play against me!"

And me, being a gullible lil mini-me agreed: "Okay!"

Well....turns out her so called 'Wimpy Deck' is CHOCK FREAKING FULL of angels that are kicking my face in. Jeez, there was Acroma, Sword of Light and Shadow, some kinda Prisimatic-magiger Angel-a-whats-it......I don't even know.....all I know was it sucked...alot......ahh but them's the breaks...

Earlier we had both gone to the Renaissance festival and had a great time. I was even attacked by the Executioner! ......ummm...great?

We had then gotten sushi from Publix, some instant Miso Soup, a couple of Red Bulls, some jerky,....oh! and some of those yellow marshmellow Easter peeps! We used this magical concotion to help us sit through a couple of hours of photoshop, anime goodness, and hot sexy men in Link costumes.....good times.....

soooo...thanks to the almighty Puck of awesomeness and her photoshop tutorials, I've learned a few tricks I'll be trying when I color. A weird thing happened today, I was walking alone through the halls of my school, cause every one else was in class, but as I was rounding the corner of a portable, I sudden;y got this bizzare since of hyper deja vu, and I felt really scared all of a sudden. I even thought I saw something flash in my head, ...I think it was a katakana symbol from Japanese class. So yeah. lemme tell ya about the Pep Rally today....dear lord above me, (I mean no dishonor to your name) but god it was awful
I'm sorry, and this is not meant to be racist, but let me simply state that in MY OPINION, white prep girls of ANY make and model should not be on the gym floor trying to do the harlem shake, city boy, or tootsie roll
dance moves. I'm an average white chica, who can't really say much, but (and Raven-the-White will agree with me) we do not look good trying to shake what we aint got. Now, all the black girls on our step team kicked so much ass because they can pull off moves like that, and make it look good. But the overweight white girl, and the annorexic preps were just not working out. Made me wanna strangle myself with my own belt...It was that bad. So, okay.I'm gonna admit it, and I'm sure you have figured this out already, I'm a loud, sarcastic Italian/Irish brat who's got a big mouth and can be a bitch and/or annoying lil punk. So, in my normal fashion, I was loudly mocking the valley girls and their sad lil routine after the show...and like the dork that I was, re-inacted my version of their dances moves with all the pathetic-ness I could put into it. And like all good ironys out there, a couple of the "dancers" happened to be right behind me. So this one girl was all like "You kow what, I'd like to see you try it sometime! And by the way, you should show more spirit for your damn school!"
okay okay, lets get one thing straight here, i DID show spirit,...I wore my damn class colors after all, and I did cheer my class on. In fact I cheerd EVERYTHING on, even that stupid new principal we have now.....I just didn't cheer THEM on. So, yeah, I was alittle...miffed...at this rebuke, which wasn't completely deserved, so I retaliated,"Show spirit,eh? Well hows about I shove your stupid face into a meat grinder you hack?!?! Cause thats JUST how spirited I'm feeling at the moment!!!"

Well, okay, yeah...maybe that was taking things a little to far, and yeah, my sensei would kick my arse all the way to Japan for that one, but hey, a pissed off Pyro is never a pretty thing. So the girl gets pissed...(wonder why?)...and stalks away, ...only to come back later with like five of her lil girlfriends. She's all looking like We-are-gonna-kick-your-ass and I was thinking all: ....crap!

So, yeah,....Moral to be had here,....watch what ya say, cause usaully its gonna come back and bite ya in the arse later! Lesson I really should take to heart one day.... Oh and as for what happened, a couple of APs came over and we all ran away like freaking jewels in the night. Ya know how im being an elf for my costume right? Well...actually to be honest its a handmade replica of Legolas' outfit, with bow, ear-tips, and synthetic leather for tunic, belt,etc. (im going for kick-arse, not cheap like a lot of costumes i saw made for him) well...my grandpa donated his real leather lace-up moccasins that stop at about mid-calf. I was a bit skeptical, but with the lace up strings and the fringe, they really do look authentic. And THEN he pulled out three wooden long bows and a couple of recurves and let me have my pick of what I want to borrow for my costume! My grandma :granny: is helping me with the sewing, and all I can say is I have the most awesomness of grandparents in the whole freaking world! :love:
So, in honor of my awesome family, I shall sit down to my blackberry sage tea, :stereo: turn up the stereo of some classic J-Pop and mediate on how great today was...which means tommorow is probably gonna suck...:ohmygod:...pessimest, who me?

Yeah, thats EXACTLY how it went down my friend. So yeah, re-read my Anita Blake book Burnt Offerings, wrote a note to a friend, ate my lunch while on my back in the grass at school with the Gang, managed to get said food everywhere BUT my mouth, work on my Halloween costume: Pyro the Elf!, and made some tea when I got home. And so it was...in the midst of cleaning that filthy petri dish of horrendous bacteria and death I call a room...that I hit onto a brilliant (in my opinion) idea!

Why not write a poem with a companion art piece, and send it in on Monday to The Muse? (A school jorunalism thing that takes yer crap, slaps it togeather with other peoples crap, and serves it to you in a book a la 15 dollars)
So I says to myself, why not? Its gotta be better than chores and homework, right?

And there I sat, at my desk, letting expression, emotion, and pretty much anything in my head at the time flow onto paper, thinking: how hard could this poetry thing be?
....it sucked...alot....and I now have renewed admiration for those poets who actually do NOT sound as if they were doped up at the time they were writing.
So, with the grace of a parachute-less man comming in for a landing, I crumbled said poem and tossed it for a two point shot in the basket.
And that art work I was gonna do? Forget it, my 3 year old cousin's pictures look like Raphael in comparison.
So what do you do to fight self depression? Why you lift your spirits up by watching sexy hot man-beasts on Lord of the Ring! Ahh...sweet Legolas, you are my muse! (Of course my muse causes me to lose about 40 IQ points every time he's on screen, but hey! That's the price!) ]]> ~PrincePyro
