I am surprised that the infamous emails about the Jark affair have been made public so quickly. It is interesting how many people have taken the time to carefully document all the hipocracy that has befallen DeviantART recently.

[link]

Well at least we know the background, and with all the facts in front of us it is pretty clear what is going on.

Ironically I renewed my DA subscription only a few days before the shit hit the fan. I am not sure that the users striking will change things...only not renewing subscriptions will hit them financially. However, then there is the chance that the site will be shut down...and no one wants that.

The only real course of action would be internally, among the DA staff stading up to Angelo...and forcing a resignation, as well as the persistant demand for the truth from the community, not necessarily a revolt. A revolt would only work if a significant percentage, like 80 or 90 actually did disable their deviations....but we can't gain that much support because the changes among the admins have not affected the service or quality of the site.

Firing all their talented people, though, will eventually degrade the site as it will be unable to keep up with the art community, particuarly if jark and his comrades start their own art submission site.

Well, I added a bunch of my old work to the site today and it generated quite a bit of response, with a few favorites from the Snowy Trees and my Illumi-Chair from Arch 100. I also added my photo montage of cooking pasta...but I don't expect people to like that much, heh.

Well, it finally snowed here in Milwaukee for the first time (well, worth mentioning at least). I must say, it was really uplifting and cool to watch it stick to the trees in the courtyard of the architecture building. I stole (borrowed) Matts camera and ran outside to grab a few shots.

I have posted the 4 basic ones, and I am going to manipulate the 5th to create an actual work of art! It will be my first true Deviation instead of stock photos, but I will have to wait until next week when I can afford the time.

I plan to make several trips down into the Menonomee Vally in Milwaukee, Wisconson to get some great shots of ghetto industrial with my friend Mikaela.

Our first trip was focused mostly on three different spots; an abandoned warehouse on the street, and then a busted up grain elevator and its surrounding scrap yard and railway.

Unfortunatly our time was rather rushed so we were not able to do much exploring. We plan on going back sometime this weekend so that we can explore the railroad when there aren't workers around to yell at us for trespassing.

I will upload Moday's pictures as soon as I write the descriptions for them.
