Anyway, turns out I did fail sculpture in the end.
Boo. So I'm in it again along with fundamentals of painting and introduction to 3D modeling.
3D modeling which I'm not supposed to be in until I pass sculpture, but eh. I roll like that.

So far they're going good. Painting and 3D modeling are fun. Sculpture is going to be like an independent study--I chose my projects and their due-dates. Glee~

But yeah...Monday was utter suck. Tuesday was a bit better, but the evening have ended up ruining the day as a whole for me. Like this evening.

We don't know his real name, but we call him Tom now for reasons you will soon learn.

So, it was an unassuming Thursday afternoon and myself along with my friends Cassie, Dom, and Josh were walking to the Metro in the Underground. We'd just had lunch and were chatting when out of the blue, a man stopped us to point out a poster.

This poster is an ad for the Army I believe and shows a step-by-step instruction for a father to give his son a pat on the back for getting a B in class. Something like that...but on the poster, the boy's name is Tom. So...this man who stopped us. He was drunk. And this was at around noon...but he was pretty gone. Possibly high on top of drunk, but we're not sure. Tom stopped us to show us the proper way to do the back pat and went on about how people are too serious nowadays and don't praise each other for accomplishments. Oh and apparently Tom on the poster would have gotten a burger and not a back-pat if he'd gotten an A, but it's better than an F.

We laughed politely and hoped Drunk Tom would go about his business, but as we walked, Tom kept turning around to talk to us. About how the world went to hell when the Greatful Dead stopped touring. He used to follow them around and live in the little villages...Tom was probably a pot head. Now Tom works for the government in homeland security, protecting us from the fake terrorists. Also, Tom's been to Europe where they don't wear those security badges like here (the ones that you use to get into the offices and such; I have one for the elivator at school and the one at the apartment building).

When Tom was finally out of earshot, we all burst out laughing.
It made my week.

And so that was the story of Drunk Tom.

1) I will not drink any form of alcohol.

To me, it is a vile, disgusting thing that has caused nothing but pain and suffering in the world around me. I have never been around a person it did any more good than harm and I want nothing more to do with the fucking stuff. I also will do no drugs, but this is needless to say...

Before you ask, yes...I -am- okay. Not in the best definition of the word, but okay enough. I am tired, mentally run-down, annoyed, scared, angry, frustrated, upset, anxious, paranoid, exasperated...all at once. Yet here I stand, still kicking. But the next person, if they be that stupid, to tell me I should just "suck it up"...they can take a long walk of a fucking short pier. I am doing the best I fucking can and anyone who would like to argue against my right to express discontentment may kindly shove their opinion up their fucking asses.

I am going back to DC on Saturday and school starts up again Monday. Wish me luck...I need all the support I can get at this point.

I was just Stumble-ing as I often do at this hour before I hit the hay, when I landed on this article. I read it...and wanted to just...find this girl and beat her head into a wall. Some 17-year-old decided to "play a prank" on another girl by trashing her apartment. Okay, if that had been the end of it, I would have let her off with a slap to the wrist; teens are pretty stupid sometimes. But no...she stepped over a line that no one should ever cross. EVER. She said "I hate cats" as if it justified what she did: she took the other girl's kitten...a KITTEN, and put it in the oven. Not just IN, she turned it ALL THE WAY UP AND LEFT THE APARTMENT SO SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE KITTEN CRYING OUT AND SCRATCHING AT THE OVEN DOOR. WHATINTHEGODDAMNFUCKINGHELL?!

I adore animals, especially cats. I have four of my own and have always had special bonds with them. This article...god, I feel sick to my stomach now...how can someone do that to a defenseless creature? I just want to cry because I can't get it out of my head...damned be my quick-to-work imagination playing the scene out for me.

It's too cruel...
And it's articles like this that make me loose a bit of faith in humanity.

Anyway! Spent yesterday over at my step-sis' new house to help out with getting them settled in/unpacked. Spent a good amount of time working with the kitchen, but also ran child-distraction-duty (of my 3-yr-old nephew) to keep him out of the way.

After we had dinner (nummy grilled cheese and tomato soup), we went out for soft-serve ice-cream in the middle of the rain XD it was fantastic fun, but rather wet and cold.

It was fun and really nice to spend time with them (and my new niece~)

My mom took some shots, so I'll see if I can't get her to send them to me (geh, reminds me...need to do an updated ID pic for myself >< )

So yes...been busy helping around at home. Mowed the lawn yesterday, which equated to me pulling it along backwards through the jungle-length grass in the backyard. Day before that I went to my councilor for the first time (going again this Wednesday--gotta figure out how to work the newfangled bus-system around town).

It was a bit nerve-wracking and I was really nervous/anxious, but it was nice to talk to someone non-biased/judgmental for once. It's only for about a month that I'll be going to see her before I'm switched to an actual psychiatrist-shrinky-person or something like that. Yay for talking someone's ear off. I could go on for hours, really...but it's really helpful to be able to just unload on someone without worrying about them taking anything personally. Because...well, wouldn't make sense for them to since none of it's about them, but about the people and things that are driving you up a wall. I'm just really glad to finally be doing something about all the stuff I've had bottled up.

Going to need to get back to the doctor again soon about my digestive issues. Being at home is good for eating better, yes, but isn't going to fix the issue completely. Yes, it doesn't escape me that it's most likely from eating poorly for some time, but when it's just enough to wake up, shopping isn't on the top of the list, sadly. Filing this under "things I will be changing about myself."

What else what else...hm...

Well, getting into the planning stage for my website and trying to ponder exactly what I want to make to sell. Random ideas, curiosities, and I've even got an idea for my logo~ And since I'm a silly cookie and want to, I'll be doing this work under a "pen"name. I'll have a separate DA account going up for me to put my best-of-the-best stuff on (because, let's face it, potential customers don't need to sift through my WoW screenshots to get at my actual work XD)

So you may know me by any odd assortment of names (Colette, Fukaji/Fu-san, V/Voudka, etc), but now know my penname: Nikki Tripp. (Nikki is from my middle name, Nicole, but don't ask about Tripp. It just -is-)

I have always known Doritos to come in a fun variety of flavors.
Cooler ranch was once my favorite, but was replaced by Spicy Sweet Chili (which kick ass when used as nacho chips).

Well, now Doritos has come out with probably my favorite of all time: taco.
It's been released before over the years, but this time it's different.
(Look for it in a black bag)

We opened the bag and smelled...hmmm, sure -smelled- like a taco. But would it -taste- like a taco? So we tried them...

You can even taste the sour cream in them!
It's like a taco-fairy sprinkled her awesome-dust on these damn chips!

I was watching The Day the Earth Stood Still last night and I had a geek moment when they showed the main woman's son for the first time. He (played by Will Smith's son) was sitting on his bed on a laptop playing WoW. I turned to my mom and pointed out "Sad thing is...I know where he is" He was playing a Human (missed the class, either Warrior or Paladin...I want to say Warrior, though) in Stranglethorn Vale and when his mom interrupted, he died. Gotta get to work again: doing laundry and trying to get my room looking like a bomb -didn't- explode in it (which is a task in and of itself, since that's usually what it looks like).

It feels good to be back home for now. I'm resting better and don't feel as beat down as I have. I'm still a bit down over having to leave the school and kicking myself looking back over things I should/could have done different, but I really do think it's for the best. Need the time to step back, take a breath, and get back on my feet.

I intend to work on getting my website up and set up so I can sell my work (hopefully). I have a ton of ideas and I'm really excited about it. So expect to see a flood of new stuff in the near-ish future!

Just taking a brief moment to pop on and update this thing.
In the process of packing up right now. I'll be moving home tomorrow morning.

Didn't get registered into classes quickly enough after being academically terminated and apparently I'm too far along in the classes to take midterm courses or the online ones. So, due to going in pointless circles with three departments that weren't communicating with one another (they never do), missed my window and so out I have to go.

NOT PERMANENTLY.

See, don't get me wrong. I'm rather bummed about it. I didn't want to be kicked. But looking at it, it's kinda a blessing in disguise so long as I take advantage of it. Since I won't be at the school, stressing over everything under the sun and moon, I can use that time to get myself physically/mentally well again. Rest up, eat well, and get to work on building a website with my parents so I can actually get my art out there (and even do paid commissions).

My parents are being very supportive in all this, to which I am very thankful.

So it's like a vacation I didn't really want, but since I'm getting it...I'll use it.
But come July, I will be getting my ass back in the school, hopefully with a clear head.

Now that I'm not at my wit's end and falling fast, time to update.

1) In the process of getting re-admitted to the school. It's going painfully slow, but there's a lot of financial legwork in need of being done and I've called my mom into that particular fight; I'm utterly retarded at dealing with them because when I -do-, they send me in pointless circles.

2) Getting in to see doctors...finally. I missed my CT scan appointment, but I saw a GI doctor yesterday and he's got me coming in for a colonoscophy (sp? *shrug*) next Tuesday. Still have noooo idea what's up with me physically...it's annoying, but I'm taking steps in the right direction.

3) This weekend was wonderful. My boyfriend was able to come visit us and we all (myself, him, my roommate, and all my beloved friends down the hall (and miss she-knows-who-she-is XP) hung out, relaxed, laughed, and I haven't felt so light-hearted in a long time. Of course, when I had to take him to the end of the Metro blue-line and let a taxi take him to the bus that took home, I felt like my heart had gotten ripped out. But...that's okay because I know where it is: with him. *almost pukes at her own corny, sappiness*

So, I'm on the mend now, I'm hoping. Thank you again to everyone who has given me their support...it means the world and more to me.

So as I sit before my computer at...feck, what time is it? 6 am?
Sure. You may say "wtf are you doing up this late?"

Well, when you woke up at 6pm, it kinda makes more sense.

I am utterly...not here.
Each day is becoming a fight to keep with what little sense I've got left.
What little fight I've still got in me. Determination, woo...

For about a month or so now my physical health has gone downhill. Started with some fairly sharp-pained menstral cramps that made me so nauseated, I couldn't stand to be up on my feet for more than a few minutes at a time. Then it stoped being just on my "happy-week". Constantly waking up to nausea, stomach ache, soreness, dizzy-spells, and ever-present pain in my fingers. Not to mention (and a MAJOR concern to me, but I'll spare details to keep from grossing you lot out) starting to have bleeding where I shouldn't. That started happening every once and a while, but now...it's daily.

Needless to say, I've become utterly demoralized by this constant, never-ending feeling of ache and nausea and pain. I couldn't bring myself to get up to any of my alarms and just...gave up on trying to go to classes after midterms.

And it finally has bitten me in the ass. Wednesday I recieved a notice from Housing that I needed to have my stuff out by Thursday at noon. Having not gotten said notice sooner, I was very "wtf?!" and contacted them imediately to give them my sitiuation. I've been given an extention, and in that time I sent a message to the head of my department. She informed me that, since I can't appeal the courses I was dropped from, I was removed from the program. So...I have to plea my case with Housing for more time so I can go through the readmission process.

Still have not gone to see a counciler like I have been asking and pleading for. Still need to get a CT scan in the ongoing attempt to figure out what the hell is wrong. I'm...losing my grip. Slowly but surely. I wake every day and just...want to go right back to sleep. Being concious tires me out, for fuck's sake!

And I am tired of being told that it's nothing. That it's just because I don't get out enough. I WANT to get out. I WANT to do things with my friends and be happy again. Later today I have to break this news about school to my mom. I know she loves me, but...I feel that I've finally crossed a line and she will not let me stay at the school and pull me home. And...I think that would kill me.

I want to get myself better so I can STAY IN SCHOOL.
Moving home...would break me. Utterly.

I would have to live with daily looks and words of disaproval, reminding me every moment of every day how much of a fuckup I am and can't do anything right. That I'm useless, lazy, and stupid. Sure, I would be pushed to geting a job (and I know I need one) and a driver's license, and my physical health would be tended to. But what about mental? I couldn't do it. I can't do that again...I just can't. I love my family, but...I don't think the invironment would do anything but destroy me.

So, I've begun to do what I can, while I can.
I don't know if what's wrong with me is serious yet or not.
But...just in case...

Last night I called a friend of mine I met through WoW. We kinda dated long-distance for a short time and when I just couldn't make it work, we broke things off and I just...shut him out of my life. But I had forgotten the important part of him having been a good friend to me. So, in a moment of clarity, I sent a text to say I was sorry for what I had done. We ended up talking for a few hours (me getting out a nice bit of crying) and it lifted some weight off my heart.

My next step is to finally send a letter to my dad/step-mom/grandmother.

In the Kingdom of Dokapon, four adventurers set out to get back the kingdom's gold and save the people from the wretched monsters who have been stealing it!

Voudka: a red-haired warrior bent on getting as much gold and property value as she can, no matter what. She'd even stab her friends in the back several times...and has. Her armor is rather revealing.

Kotonoha: a chipper-bubbly thief with a sweet disposition. With the crowd she hangs out with, one has to wonder why she calls them her friends...

Serac: a skilled wielder of the magics of Dokapon known to rival Voudka in their ownerships over the towns. But she's going to win in the end, so it doesn't really matter.

Marckus: a pink-pompador'd warrior. Does anything else really need to be said?

Of course, their names and relative descriptions don't matter much because throughout their battles, they have several times over renamed, head-shaved, and face-doodled one another. Some wonderful name selections include: Annefrankastraa, Sussanastraza, Hitler, Smexy-Chan, and so-forth.

Classes are going pretty good.
(which is a funny statement, really...just had a 6-day weekend due to the inaguration XD I've only been to each of my two classes...like once)

I have Intro to 2D Animation (again) and Art History 2 (Ren. period-ish).

Still need to work on getting the job and the psychiatrist, but I'm doing a good deal better now that I'm back in DC with my super-awesome-amazing friends (who my roommate and I practically live with).

WoW-Corner-News:
-not that anyone really cares, but whatever XD
-I get to make my motorcycle soonish~! Squee! I can finally buy the plans for it, so I just need to max my skill and gather the mats.
-Been doing all the clasic raids; hoping to get the rest of the BC ones knocked out sometime, but my attempts at SSC and BT both ended in utter disaster and high repair bills.
-Storyline/RP: the Legion is more or less under the management of myself and my friends...hm, Voudka (my main; lvl 80 fury warrior) is now engaged to her ex-aprentice-turned-Deathknight Malv (and this is news of course excluding her crack-engagement to Shibalba XD) who was just reunite with his brother who -had- been dead, but then Legion's current leader (a time dragon with the bronze flight) eff'd things up and he got raised by Arthas as a deathknight. XD I know...is long story.

But anyway, I think that's it for now...

Blegh!

Isn't it terrible that your winter break should end up being more stressful than...you know, a BREAK should be?

=_= meh. Anyway, I'll spare you details (a good number of you know them anyway), but suffice it to say: it's been hellishly stressful and depressing.

BUT!

Rather than do nothing, I am going to be taking steps to make things better. Finally.

1)School: rather than just leaving like I had thought my only choice was going to be, my mom just set me up so I'll be part time (which is two courses, 4 credits). And I can stay in housing. So, this frees up a lot of time for me for...

2)Counsiling: I've been in severe need of it for almost a year now. So I'm going to be finding somewhere to go (probably once a week) to talk things out with a shrink. Here's to hoping it helps. And with more of that freed up time, I can finally get a...

3)Job: Yeah, I know, right? I'm still petrified of having to get one, but I don't have much of a choice if I want to stay in school. I suppose I need the experience, too...but yeah, it's mostly for need of funds.

And I'm hoping I can finally get around to uploading the backload of art I've had just sitting.

Aaaaaaanyway, I'm taking my stormcloud and adding my own damn silver lining...no point waiting for one to just magicly appear.

And this would not be possible if not for the people who I call friends and family.

So, I think many "thanks" are needed 'round the table...

Woooo boy. So haven't updated this in a while.

Suffice it to say: I failed out of both Animation and Sculpture.
That was my second attempt at Sculpture, for those who may not know.

Yeah...no.
Not so happy at the moment.

You ever felt like no matter what you do or how hard you try, stuff just goes wrong? Yeah, feels like that.

And still haven't gotten an appointment set to see a doctor...

Blegh. Sometimes I wish I could just kick Fate in the throat...

So, I've been kinda sick lately. Sometimes it's actual nausea and stuff, but for the most part it's all in my head. You know, tired no matter how much sleep I get, unable to get to sleep, clenching my jaw too much, and just not feeling like doing anything at all.

Like, I -know- I need to get something done, but can't make myself work on it.

So I'm hoping I can get in to talk to a doctor or someting soon because this is just...exausting.

Anyway, the reason I want to kick Fate in the throat is because I needed to go in to the school today to get help in sculpture and finish up my animation for 2D animation. But no, didn't happen. Today just so happens to be open house at the school and the only room I needed...THE ONLY ONE, is being used for show for the prospective students.

Now whatever motivation I had today is shot to hell =,=
All I can do is hope my sculpture isn't due Tuesday or I am royally screwed.

Well well well...I have entered the second year at the Art Institute.

Good times, good times.

This quarter I has...
1) Into to 2D Animation (I animated a circle rolling XD lulz)
2) Sculpture for Animators (booo >< the class that triggered my nervous breakdown a few months ago)
3) Mythology: Tolkien (Yes. LotR, Hobbit...that XD as a class)

Not sure how many of you are familiar with the game Legend of Dragoon, but it really doesn't matter much if you aren't.

I am basing my new project off of their armor, which is magical and have dragon-like wings.

What I am doing is taking people I know and drawing them in my style with armor kinda like dragoon, but each set would be based off an element that makes them who they are.

So, I have two people so far and I may do myself XD
If you would be interested in becoming one of my Dragoons, send me a PM. I would need pictures of yourself for ref and you'll need to tell me one thing that is really important to you or has had a major role in making you who you are, like music or video games.

1) Iron Man
If you haven't seen it already, go hit your head on a wall. After waking up from doing that, make your way to the nearest theater and see this movie. I LOVED it. So much that I saw it twice. Of the super-hero/ comic-made-live-action movies I have seen, this is nearly my favorite. It falls second only to Batman Begins, with maybe Spiderman as third (and no, not the 3rd one D:< Emo!Parker for the fail). It's fun, funny, and action-packed without any unneeded romance goo or whatnot.

2) Speed Racer
Good GOD the colors! Just...holy CRAP! Colors! I swear there were at least 5 colors in this movie that I have never seen...and that have yet to be given names! But, Technecolor's rampage of color-bombs asside, I quite enjoyed this movie. It was fun to watch and funny--couldn't help smiling. Now I really want a cool car...like Speed's.

3) Indiana Jones
Hahahahaha, yep. Just got back from a 12am showing! It ROCKED! I love it! Go see it! They kept the original sound effects! So those classic punching sounds you love? Yep! There! And...just woo! There's monkeys and ants and greesers and magic and drama and sword-fighting and crystal skulls and...*splodes with joy*

Now, I just saw Speed Racer and Indiana Jones back-to-back. The downside? I now have BOTH of their theme-songs stuck in my head, playing at the same time, overlapping.

...make it stop? XD

Well, after some careful consideration of how difficult this quarter is going to be on me once I get a job on top of the classwork I'll be doing, I'm going to be quitting WoW.

At least for this quarter. But not to worry, I'll pick it back up after.

1) my hair is RED now. Like, really really red. And so it my mom's! But not -as- red XD

That's about as good advice as I can give XD

Well, as things are right now:
+ I've dropped Programming.
+ I've also had to drop Sculpture because I fell too far behind (due in part to not being able to get help from the teacher when I asked for and needed it) to logically catch up.
+ I've got an F in Psychology, but then again, so does nearly the whole class and it's only midterms. I can fix it. I WILL fix it, damnit XD
+ I'm feeling a lot less crazy, but I'm very disapointed in myself for buckling under the stress like that.

But I've taken care of things and decided that my current class-load plan (4 classes a quarter) isn't worth killing myself with stress over so I'm dropping down to only 3 classes. This means instead of going 3 years, I'll be going 4.

I really messed up this quarter and I'm not too pleased about that, or happy with myself at the moment, but all one can do is accept the consequences and move on. Keep going. You know?

Anyway, just figured I'd catch everyone up with my crazy life. ;3

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE OF THINGS:
+ I got my main character on WoW to 41 and got her her first mount!
+ I'm going to be dying my hair soon, but not sure what color. Expect a new ID~
+ I -will- get a picture done for Valentine's Day, damnit! XD I don't really care for the holiday since I'm single and have no real reason to look forward to it, but it -is- a holiday and I told myself I'd try to draw or write something for all the major ones.

Nrrrr...I wish sometimes that I was living in the middle of nowhere so I could just go outside and scream my throat raw...

It's midterms next week, but that's the least of my worries.

1) Monday: I couldn't force myself out of the apartment to get to my sculpture class. Didn't realize that it would end up screwing me over so badly in the end. Went to my other two classes--programming ending up fustrating me yet again. By the time I got off the train at Crystal City, I was completely flipped out; apparently my tollerance for stress is lower than I thought. I ended up wandering off into the suburbs, just walking and feeling like I was losing my mind, crying and laughing at myself like an idiot (very stupid of me to do at 9 pm, alone, in the cold). I managed to calm down some off my nervous breakdown and got myself back to my apartment. One of my very good friends pounded some sense into me via IM and I made the decission to drop programming, which seems to have been the root/trigger to my "episode".

+ Tuesday: talked to my mom; she supported my decision to drop the class.

2) Wednesday: Tried to go to sculpture, but didn't know that not only was our first project DUE, but they had started the armatures for the next project. I didn't have the supplies I needed and my first project wasn't done, so I had to leave. She was supposed to be having a Saturday make-up session, so I promised to attend and left. In theory, I reasoned that I would be caught up for class Monday...too bad THAT didn't work out.

3) Thursday/Friday: I've was trying to get motivated enough to do my psychology research paper, but only go about as far as writing the outline and looking up articles to use. I was at a loss for how to write this stupid thing, so I simply put it aside yesterday to work on drawings for sculpture that are due Monday. The paper is ALSO due Monday and I have a 50 question midterm to study for on top of all that.

4) Today: You know what? Today has pissed me off to my core and I'm so fed up with things that I really, really, REALLY want to scream. I got up late, panicing because I couldn't find the plyers I needed to take with me for sculpture. So I ran out the door and had to buy another pair at Rite Aid. I got to the school early, figuring it would be good to get there with plenty of time to spare...guess what? TODAY IS OPEN HOUSE. So the school was PACKED with prospective new students and their families. And the room where my sculpture teacher was SUPPOSED to be in? Yeah, they were using it for an advising lecture/presentation. So I left. And now I am ROYALY SCREWED in that class. I'm wondering if not beyond repair at this point...

I am so tired of this...
I can't sleep. And when I do, I don't sleep enough.
I'm still sick and I wake up every Monday and Wednesday feeling sick to my stomach over stress and worry.
I have no motivation to do my work, even when I try to force myself to do it.
All I want to do is just...ugh, I don't know.
It's only my third quarter and I feel so f*cking burnt-out already...
I feel unsure of myself and lost and hopeless; feeling like this is really pissing me off because I know I can be better than this! AGHHHHH!

...okay. Let's begin.

The weekend was wonderful, right up until Monday morning.

I was spending time over at a friend's before she was going to be moving into the dorms at GMU. It was just what I needed after last week and the one before it. We hung out and playwed WoW and such: got my main on WoW up to lvl 35 and I made some new friends. I also learned to never, EVER offer to run a party of three gnomes from Stormwind all the way to Darnassus. EVER. If I could have gone PvP on them...I might have. We had a lot of fun (or at least I did--I hope she did, too) and I didn't want it to end...But come Monday morning, I had to drag myself away from her (kicking and scraming in my mind) and get my arse back to my apartment, and the cruel crush of reality...

Now I'm realizing that I really -did- have too much to try to pack into two days. =,= Oh well. I made my decision (I don't regret doing so, even now) and thus I live with what happened. I'm mature in that regard, I guess.

Back to the wemo-ramble...

After getting back to my apartment, all I -really- wanted to do was go back to sleep. I had stayed up until 6am and had to get up at 8. Two hours o sleep = suck. I was trying to do my programming homework...slowly getting more and more fustrated that it wasn't working that eventually I just gave up and stopped working on it. So that assignment didn't get finished. I -did- get my skull done, though. That's a plus.

Tuesday found me more awake, since I slept in, but I was still really tired. And again, I just wanted to sleep. But I had that sculpture project (the drawings of Wolverine in drag) to do and a math test to study for. But again, due to my severe miscalculations, the drawings took so long to complete that I was too run down to finish them with the shading (and the skeletal/muscle layovers) or even look at my math textbook. I was so mentally gone that after I gave up, my mind refused to let myself go to bed--sort of like a subconcious punishment for failing in my tasks. I passed out at around 6, I think. This sounds really stupid, but I was able to find some sort of innerpeace for a while after I got in bed and clung to one of my scarves. I'm an odd child. Don't ask. It made me feel sorta better.

This morning I woke up to the sound of the fire alarm going off. Again. So I dragged myself out of bed, got dressed, and woke up my roommates. Walked down 11 flights of stairs just to find out that it was the dust from the renovations going on in the halls that triggered it. So we made our way back up to the apartment to get ready for classes. And just like last week, I became violently sick to my stomach shortly after getting back in. I was just so angry and fustrated with myself and...eh, it's hard to explain, but I more-or-less felt as physically ill as I felt mentally. My mom calmed me down and made me face up to my classes today (I wanted nothing more than to just curl back up in my bed and cry).

Sculpture class was okay. I don't think -anyone- had their drawings done, so I didn't feel as bad. She then showed us how to do eyes, noses, lips, and hair and we got to work. My piece is looking more like a person now: it has eyeballs and some muscles.

Programming (where I am now) is...hell. Simply put. I don't know how to get buttons to work they way they should and it's making me excedingly fustrated. I -used- to know how to do this, damnit...whatever. I'm going to a friend's on Friday to get some tutoring on this because so far, I've learned very little in-class. The only perk is that I know some pretty cool people in here (even if they poke me all the time XD ).

Next up is an hour for lunch/ dinner/ Ireallydon'tknowwhatmealtocallit. Gonna eat at McDonalds with a friend and my roommate. During which I intend to study for my math test, for all it'll be worth. Joy of joys: nothing says "yum" like a burger and complicated-ass geometry >,>

I only had class one day this week, but I feel like it was three or four packed into one.

School is fun, but annoyingly fustrating right now.

My "social" life fails...need to work on that.

Anyway! Now that that tag is out of my system, let me tell you of my next sculpture project. Yes, yes, I know: "But you haven't finished the first one yet!". Hey, I don't make the rules, the teacher does and she gave us the next assignment.

And it rocks XD

I was worried when all she had said about it before was that it was "anatomy". But now...oh wow. What she had us do was reach into a bag and pull out an (get ready for it) action figure. We were then told we were going to be taking said figurines and changing their personalities.

I got Wolverine. She told me to make him a cross-dresser.

For. The. Epic. Win.

As far as my other sculpture goes, I've gotten a good bit of the skull done. Still need to look up some skull anatomy pictures so I can get it right, but right now it reminds me quite a bit of something akin to Ghost Rider. Just minus the fire. I shoud be posting a WIP photo of it sometime around Monday/Tuesday after I get the skull done and pre-baked.

Eck, I'm still coughing out my lungs (I figure I've go two, so I can afford to lose one XD), but my cold is getting better. Slowly...

And my mental state is started to level out, finally.

It took me a little while--nearly had a mild break-down last week after my first day of new classes, but I'm doing significantly better. I have some lovely people who've been helping me through this annoyingly rough patch and I don't know where I'd be without them. ((I'm sure they know who they are *cough-cough-JhinJynxandmymom-cough* ))

I've stepped back, breathed, calmed myself down and taken in the advice and encouragement they have given me and I'm feeling less like throwing things/screaming/considering insane things like transfering schools or something as riddiculous. I felt helpless last week, questioning my path and wondering if I'd made the right decision to pursue a career in game design. But it's my dream and once I calmed down, I realized that I could do whatever I put my mind to. Forgive me, I know that sounds corny as hell, but it's the truth; I will do whatever it takes to make this work and I've come too far now to buckle and give up, damnit!

So, no worries, friends! I is doing just fine--just a little shaky in my footing but I've got the support I need to help me get steady again and keep climbing. Until my scedule calms down a bit, don't expect much by way of art/writing for a while. But now that I'm taking a Flash class, you may see some (*gasp*) animations! And definately my sculptures (the finished pieces themselves, and all the WIP photos and sketches)! So, to my fans (do I -have- fans? XD), don't count me out just yet!

Not the project, itself, really.
Just...well, it's hard to explain.
I like doing it.
The work that came with it...not so much.
We have to draw ourselves in five different angles.
Shaded.
One of said drawings has to have 2 lay-overs.
First lay-over is of the skull.
Second is of the muscle.
ALL of these things have to be proportional and shaded.
And "perfect".
Due Monday.
(Have I mentioned that me + realism + drawing myself = uber-fustration? XD )
I thought it was due TODAY, so I was up until 2-something AM working on it yesterday.
For nothing; they turned out so crappy! But my teacher showed me what to fix, so it wasn't a complete waste of time/sanity.

But on top of all that, I have programming and math homework to do, also.
Way too much work.
...I had plans.
Plans that I really really really REALLY wanted to keep.
It took all day to force myself to put my schoolwork higher on the priority list.
Physically hurt to have to do so...*sigh*

But...I'm feeling better for the most part, I do suppose.
Learning pretty fast that I never, EVER want to set my scedule up like this again.
EVER.
Seriously. If I say I'm going to, please throw flaming bricks at me.

1. I'm 18 and I still haven't had a job. Don't have a license either and I barely know how to ride a bicycle.

3. I'm sure I look more innocent than I really am. In fact, I often have to sit back and look through some of the stuff my mind comes up with and say "wow...how delightfully sick and twisted"

4. I am addicted to WoW. But it's under control: I know when to say "no".

5. I'm shy by nature, but make friends easily. I'm also pretty tomboyish at times and I seem to get along well with all my guy-friends. However, as far as "romance" is concerned...I am made of Legendary-fail (no, not "Epic". "Legendary").

6. I RP, write, read, and play video games. I like to lose myself in another world and escape this one for just a while. Sometimes I wonder if it's healthy, but without that momentary release...*shrug*

7. I enjoy being hugged and cuddled. I think I was a cat in another life, maybe? Too bad I can't really purr (I can make the noise, but it isn't the same...)

8. I really want to get a tattoo. Partly because I'm fustrated and want to vent it out through an art medium that involves beauty, symbolism, and pain. And partly because I just really want one.

Well, for my first offical post of the new year, let me tell you what classes I have this quarter:

1) Sculpture for Animators
2) Programming for the Artist
3) Introduction to Psychology
4) College Geometry

I have these classes on Monday and Wednesday from 11am to 9:40pm. So, while I have 10 hours of classes a day, I only have two days of classes a week; I'm off Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and the weekend.

So far:

-Sculpture is going to be hard and challenging (and the sculpy actually cost $78), but I'm going to do my best. Our first project is a self-portrait bust that has exagerated features. Mine's gonna be quite twisted X3

-Programming...is going to be...interesting...XD

- Psychology is...boring >w<; Not the subject, just the class itself. But that's okay--doodling is fun.

Now all that's left is my math class tonight (I don't have a textbook for that one yet, so there's more money I'm gonna need to drop).

But in better news, I got my main character on WoW (Voudka) to lvl 26! And Sahnji (my BE mage) is nearly 26, too~ XD

((Just as a random sub-note, I am hopelessly in love with this scene in the movie and I know it's probably dorky as hell of me and I may be looking too far into the symbolism, but whatever. It's one of those things that makes you stop breathing for a bit and your heart hitches...just something about it just catches me, ya know? I love the parallel: motorcycles are sometimes called "iron horses" and bikers are known as outlaws/cowboys, so to see a classic cowboy side-by-side with a modern one...you get me?))

Well, I'm doing significantly better.
And don't feel like growling "bah humbug" everytime I see Chrismas decorations. In fact, I helped my roommate put up lights last night: our livingroom is very festive now XD But yes...I've gotten over my patch of duldrums, thanks in full to those of my dear friends who put up with my sulking and set my arse straight. And, again, I'm sure they know who they are. Or I hope they do, at any rate

Mm. Well, at the moment I'm neck-deep in making/wrapping presents and watching a movie. Ah, but I'm taking a break to write this and let everyone know that I'm doing better.

So no more Scroogishness from this Psycho ;3

Bah humbug.

I'm quite the Scrooge.
Not the happy, new-lease-on-life Scrooge at the end of the story.
The I-hate-Christmas Scrooge that no one likes.
(Well, not quite like THAT...I know people like me XD)

Somehow...every year...without fail...
Something just goes terribly wrong and the holiday gets all but ruined for me.
This year it's my fault.
Sort of.
I guess?
Whatever.

Suffice it to say: my step-mom has called me immature, selfish, and has made it clear that she wants nothing to do with me at the moment. I already apologized to my dad and my grandma, but that doesn't seem to be good enough for -her-. I messed up. Got it. I apologized with all sincerity already and I feel like utter shite about what I did (long story short, I didn't get in touch with my dad/grandma this last week and some other crap that I'm not even so sure about). So what more does she want?

So now, I may not get to go see my dad for the holidays because she doesn't want to be anywhere near me right now. Fantastic.

I was messed up over the situation last night for a bit; minor break down with some slight crying...you know, that crap. But for once, which was a nice change, there was someone there to comfort me (and give me chocolate). They know who they are: thank you. It meant a lot to have someone there when I was really down.

Now I'm just...blehgeh over it all. I was just trying to relax from the stress of this past quater of school and now -this- *headdesk*

Can you see why I say "bah humbug"?
