I mean, they don't seem to understand the concept of what's 'rude'.
They blow off anybody that happens to say anything that isn't a compliment. Then posts an update stating that 'everybody has different likes and dislikes but I'm finding you all to be very rude to me' when a few people say 'there's too much going on here'.
The kid has talent, obviously. I like their art-- most of the time. Sometimes they get carried away and overwork something, putting too much in one place, and I've brought it up a few times in the nicest way that I could.
Example from a piece of Fakemon artwork (Spinda evolution):
"Wow, I really like this. The overall shape is aesthetic, and it looks so huggable. The only thing I'd suggest is that there are too many swirls on this, I would take a few out where they aren't needed. Other than that, this is a cute evolution, very plausible. Keep working."
I usually get a response like:
"I don't see what's wrong with my design, I like it the way it is. It's not going to change."
I wasn't TOO bothered by it, so I just tried to elaborate on why I felt it was too busy. The response, as it usually is, was "Whatever. I'm still not going to change it."
Another example was of a Pachirisu evolution. It looked almost exactly like Pachirisu aside from a few extra spikes of fur and stripes. I commented on it, saying that it looked a little too similar to the prevolution. "I don't care." etc etc.
Not to mention, they promptly hide all those comments I make in disagreeing with her.

This is just a rant. If you know who I'm talking about, don't do anything please.
Ugh, I just get a little frustrated.

The atmosphere was very calm at the best of times, soothing and natural.
The music selection was charming and enhanced the film, even if it was a little emo-ballad-y.
The scenery was also gorgeous, being filmed in Australia.
The characters and overall plot of the movie was well-developed and spurs the mind.

The of the five above gets to me a bit. We're talking about a movie based on a ten-sentence picture book that many kids read at ages 3-6. Let's review this, shall we?

In Maurice Sendak's whimsical children's book, Max, a rambunctious little boy, is sent to his room for some sort of misdeed. He imagines his room a new world, and a group of large, ugly monsters threaten to eat him up. He manages to subdue them with claims of being a king and having awesome powers, and they all celebrate with a 'wild rumpus'. In the nighttime, he becomes lonely and goes to sail back home. The monsters awake, threatening and begging him to stay. He coldly turns them away and goes home. He then eats supper. That is that.

There are several pages where there are little to no words, and there's only three of four blurbs of dialogue. For a book so built on simplicity and imagination, the monsters never stopped talking and complaining.
"Can you keep the sadness out?" one monster inquires to Max. He responds with claims of having a sadness-shield that will protect them all.
This is clearly not the case.

The monsters are reflections of Max's feelings-- they reflect and magnify three-fold.
There's Carol, the supposed leader of the group, he is aggressive and wild and a bit immature. He seems to have a thing for KW, and is close with Max.
KW is next, a feminine version of Carol. She has two owl friends named Bob and Terry that neither Max nor Carol understand.
Next comes Douglas, a mo-hawked rooster of a creature who is seemingly the most sensible of the group. He (tries) to keep Carol in check, who in his gratitude rips off one of his arms. Poor Douglas is left with a stick as a replacement.
Then there's Judith, a sarcastic, cranky rhino-like beast that seems to be jealous of the relationship between Max and Carol.
Irah is an interesting one. Arguably the ugliest of the monsters with his protruding nose and man-boobs, he's also the dullest. He puts holes in trees, and that's about it. No real emotion seems to radiate from him, other than the fact that he tolerates Judith very well and, in fact, loves her.
Last is the Bull. A tad bigger than the others, he sort of just skulks around, appearing on-screen every now and then. At Max's departure at the end of the film, though he does have a few brief words with the Non-king, curious if Max will say nice things about the Wild Things upon his return home.

I'm not sure where to go with this now.
I enjoyed the movie very much aside from the unresolved ending. Max left with an air of discovery, as if he realized what he had to do, how he had to act.
Alas, one cannot shake the feeling that the monsters deserve more, even if they were a figment of Max's imagination, as they are left on the shore with CGI expressions of grief upon their howling faces.

Side notes and questions:
So apparently if you run away from home after biting your mom and causing a fuss, you get soup and chocolate cake when you get back? The end scene was one of the few parts of the movie where it would have been okay to have extra dialogue.
Did anybody else feel that Max's sister should have been included at the end as well? It would have really brought it together a bit more, I feel.

No, that�s not the worst part. The worst part is that she drinks, smokes pot, experiments with drugs and flirts (heavily) with just about everyone she wants to.
She�s a nice person and I like her when she�s not trying to seduce my friend, who all too eagerly gives her every ounce of his attention.

The Falcon North-West computers are the sexiest, most gorgeous pieces of computing technology I have ever witnessed, I swear to all that is holy.
They're extremely custom and flexible, with military-based anti-virus/anti-hack systems and the best current drivers for graphics, sound and control.
I can't... I just...
I like, had a heart attack the first time I checked the site. Yes, they are specifically computers for gaming. I'm such a wastrel of a nerdgeek it's simply the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

But they're damn fucking expensive. Like two thousand dollars basics for a desktop. Even more for all the custom stuff, because they're hand-painted.
But FUCK I would give a kidney and both my legs for this computer.

Now, my computer reboots at random intervals of what feel like 20-30 minutes with a message stating "The system has recovered from a serious error". I asked a friend of mine and he said that I need a driver update, my computer is too old for the game. I know my video card is old and just barely meets the requirements for Spore, that could be the problem.
Any other reasons? I'm pretty sure it's just the game acting up with my old computer. It's a Dell Inspiron laptop, 3 or 4 years old.

HERE'S MY GOOD NEWS
Assassin's Creed 2 comes out this year, like I hoped.
I'm very excited. This game takes place in one of my favorite world-locations.
For all you girls that play this game, there's good news. The new protagonist Enizo is just as handsome as Altair. I wonder if there will be more Animus conspiracy, or is there a new story behind this? Mmmm, whatever it is I look forward to this delicious new game.

I've been moping about Markus, the boy that I had dated for a while. He dumped me suddenly and apparently it was only going to be a partial break, but since I got UPSET (heaven forbid) he saw my "true colors" and decided he didn't like me anymore. So. I guess everyone telling me he was a douchebag, they all knew the truth. I should have known not to trust an immature little boy with a height complex.
Oh that's not a fair shot.

I might just have a sleep pattern where when I'm not in REM, I'm sleeping very lightly. Thus, waking up when I come out of it.

:( I have some possibilities leading to his reason, but almost nothing other than nervous assumptions about his logic.

Maybe it's just me. I wouldn't be suprized, but this really did come out of the blue.

When I called him to talk about it, something (quite noisy and clatter-y) happened and I was cut off-- or he hung up.
This happened around 5:00pm and I haven't heard from him since.
It could be a sick joke, or a method of avoidance, but I really am concerned for his safety and health... even though he no longer seems to have an interest in me.

Well, I'm just hounding for sympathy and maybe some advice....
I hope everything's okay.

Boy tomorrow's going to be fun, seeing as I have three (almost four) hours of class with him.

Hurriedly Tripping

Ren tripped along hastily. He was on his way to meet his lover, Emi, for Valentine's Day. He smiled to see a stag hopping along, carrying a kitchen knife in its mouth.

Ren was almost on the hillside when he came across a luminous cake, lying alone on an enigmatic plate. "That must be a treat from my soft bear," he said to himself, and tripped over to it. The cake looked shining, so he ate it.

It gave him the most crimson tingling sensation in his knee. "How unusual!" he said and continued tripping to see Emi.

When Emi came out to meet him, she took one look and fell over.

"What is it?" Ren cried softly.

"Your palm! And your arm!" Emi said. "They're tender! Can't you feel it?"

Ren felt his palm and his arm. They were indeed quite tender. "Oh, no!" Ren said. "I'm a woman!" He, or rather, she started to cry. "It must have been that luminous cake you left for me. Did you know what it would do?"

"I didn't leave you any cake," Emi said. "I got you a spice-jar. It must have been that dark man who lives nearby. He acts a little gently, ever since he pushed a flower."

"But how can you ever love me, now that I'm a woman?" Ren sobbed.

"Well, I never knew how to tell you this," Emi said cautiously, "but I actually prefer women. And I think your palm is really sharp like that."

"Really?" Ren dried her tears. Ren kissed Emi and it was an entirely innubriating sensation, like a fish glimmering just out of reach in a riverbank.

They spent the night having entirely innubriating sex, until the cake wore off suddenly.

Everything was rather awkward after that.
