School's started up again, lots to do & taking Art again. Pressure and marks always motivates me. So I'm gonna have lots to submit, hopefully, once I start getting some work out. I've already done two projects so...hurray?
Working lots too though, but not as much as during the summer. And school's a billion times easier. I've got the money to pre-pay for a PS3, and this kid at school's gonna check it out for me. He works at London Drugs. lmao. Trying to decide whether to buy it right away or not, since my PS2's been busted since October. But it's like...$560-ish. Hmmm~~

I want to do something expressing the scientific alteration of animals, ie. human-animal chimeras, the turning of nature into industry, alterations caused by Time (age), or something else of importance to me.

But I also have a problem with how to go about doing this...I don't think I'm talented enough with Photoshop to get the painterly look I would like, but painting something traditionally means having to scan it, probably in pieces, so that I can email it to the magazine. And photographs have such bad quality.

The image resolution needs to be 120 DPI. Does anyone know how to ensure that? The first semester of school has come to an end, & I am in euphoria over this 4 day weekend. Whether good or bad, this means that I am finally finished with my Art class. It got me motivated & doing a lot of cool things, but I'm glad it's over for now...Less projects, more free time.
Yes! So! Come Monday, I get to start off fresh with 4 new classes...My harder semester. Sure, I'm happy now, but just wait...I'll be dreading school again in no time.

First & foremost, my Art homework is at the top of my list. Gotta get that done by...Monday.
It's painting!! I don't like paint! Paint of any kind! Really! and it's so BIG! I'm less bad at doing "big", but still bad!!

I'm kind of excited about it. I've never painted to such an extent before EVER!

A friend wants 3 pictures drawn to help her with her book report. That would be the fantastic Of course, I am more than willing to help out my sugar momma.

Another friend wants 4 pictures done for him. 3 of which are from Naruto. *chokes!!* And the other from Megaman. Geezes. But he's paying $10 a piece; so $40 if I can hold out that long. I need the money for birthday gifts. So I'll swallow my... .... ...& go along with it.

This is in the great memory of my lost & most likely deceased cat, Striper.
She was let outside for her nightly prowl Saturday at 11:00pm, & my bed has been lonely ever since.
It is now just past 10:00pm on Friday night, & although I wish she would come home, I believe she left me to die peacefully & quietly.
I have had her since I was in preschool, when my mom & I took her home from the SPCA when she was a kitten. That was some 12 or so years ago, & I knew she would be tiring soon these days.

She was the quietest kitten in the room when we found her, sleeping quite contentedly at the front of her cage. We got her home & soon discovered she had a strange but wonderful personality (although my mom didn't think as such).

At the time we bought her as a him. Within a few years, without being fixed, she had her first litter of kittens, which I believe was fathered by the tom on the farm next door.
She lived to have 2 litters in total, the second producing 2 or 3 exact replicas of herself. I loved it because I loved her & her unusual colouring, which I hope you will all get a chance to see in pictures soon. ='3

We got her fixed & she entered what I think was kitty-menopause, but I loved her quirkiness all the same. Sometime after we got a puppy, had pet fish, & moved a few neighbourhoods away. We also introduced 2 dwarf rabbits to the yard, & they died one after another, from stroke & loneliness; & a hamster inside. After years of too many garbage rampages at our new house, my dog died long after.
She outlived all of them, & even saw our newest puppy who is still alive & well.

I have enjoyed the company & loved many pets, at least 4 that I can think of before these that were cats when I was very young.

Striper pwned them all in every way, & was the best cat that I have ever had. I miss her very much & I hope she died at ease.

And I'm proud to say that I finally see a consistent style of sorts to my artwork. I've copied so many artists for so long; have had so many idols & fits of envy, & I can see something solid in my Gallery, after all. <3

So, lots & lots to draw!! 2 of them aren't so hard, just little avy portraits, one of which CG'd.

But the other is a biggie. I get to render someone's original charrie- A SHEEPY/COWY FURRY-ISH THING!! Omg he's so cool. XD
My first furry ever....9_9 I hope I don't disappoint him. I even get to choose the colours for him!

I'm gonna walk down to 's house & scan the sketch there so I can get it started in Photoshop. And the lineart for one of the other drawings is done. Heeyah!

Prince Komali from Wind Waker will start as soon as I pick up my sketches from my friends house. u_x Hehe whoops.

....Not to mention the ton of ideas I've gotten since school ended, which have all been abruptly set aside. >_@

...Started up an amateur shop again on GAIA Onling for avatar portraits to be oekakied, because I'm that cool but also, because I'm that stupid. Xd

Another picture that was sketched out recently is Prince Komali from the Zelda game 'Windwaker', & I think that's really cool! Not just because it's an interesting game, but because the art is so crazily unique & not like anything I do normally. Should be fun!

I've finished Krad, awhile ago, & I just dropped off Gaara, from Naruto, the other day...And, awesomely enough, my wages were changed & I now get $20 for him & Sasuke! Good thing, too- I've been eating away all of the money in my bank account, & I wasn't sure I would have enough to buy the *2 DISC SPECIAL EDITION* of Constantine when it comes out. I should definately have enough now!

I also finished a quickie project for my best friend of a set of multi-coloured Project Zero symbols. He wants Green, Orange, and Purple now to match his Red, Yellow, and Blue, but I need the originals to start them.

Over the past few weeks I've experienced a TON of inspiration for the Naomi series, & I have about 5 or so ideas written down to get started on also.

And I've had this idea running around in my head since my last birthday, of drawing a sexy Jun (Tao?) from Shaman King.

I frikking HATE Shaman King. But I just thought her character was cool, so I'd better spit that out sometime soon...

I've also been a super TALES OF SYMPHONIA junkie for the past week, & I have this tiny little flame of desire to draw Sheena, whom I fight with during our massive 4-player sessions.

Omigod. I'll be suprised if I get any of that done by the end of the summer. x-x

I tried following 's Tutorial on colouring eyes with Photoshop...

9.9 And I will blame my stupidity, not her bad tutorial skills, for my frustration...XP

But really, it confused me quite a bit. Maybe it's because Elements is more different from 7.0 than I realize?

Anyways...the result was pretty good. Looks fabulous, & now I can say I actually have a sort of technique rather than just screwing around...
But I hate all of the layers. They're not my friends. >.< I like simplicity...Maybe I'll try & get the same sort of effect with less of them.

More than anything, though, I'm so glad I finally picked through the "recipes", & all of the filters. They're so coool....Tons of funkay stuff for me to play with later on!

Uhm...I really need to work on my Gaara request. But no offense, he's super NOT the kind of character that I like, & the thought of it bores me....~_z

And it always seems I'm stuck in front of an artist's block. I just can't get started on any of them...>.< Such a whiner!

But on a better note...I did get my best friends picture of Krad done this weekend, & I'm really proud of it. I like mixing markers & pencil crayons...I just wish I had a better variety of markers! My line-art is getting better too...It took nearly an hour, which is pretty slow I think, but it was very good. The overall finished product was darn good if I do say so myself, but I didn't want to scan it because it was free-hand copied right from a pic he saw in my Newtype. It was crappy compared to that masterpiece, of course.

I also finished 2 digital pictures, which are in the gallery...It's more than I ever do on the weekends, but I need more practice badly!!

*_* is such an awesome artist now. She pwns me!!
