An online friend of mine referred me to the site. I've been playing on virtual petsites for almost 6 years now, and I've always wanted to be part of the staff.

Hopefully I'll get accepted! *crosses fingers*

Downside is, they're not paying us anything.

Only site credits. But that's okay. 80x80 pixels aren't really worth much, right? Right. Besides, I'm doing this mainly for practice. Earlier, I've posted a journal about how sick I am of drawing anime. I think applying as an "item" artist would be a good venue for developing my non-anime skillz.

If ever I get accepted, I just hope I can balance my responsibilities well even with the added load.

I'm tired of drawing in the manga/anime style. T_T Don't get me wrong; it's a very flexible and visually-appealing style, and I've grown so fond of it. I still am fond of it, but I feel like I must move on. I feel like my current work is soooo unoriginal.

I'm very torn and confused right now. Expect some changes in my future deviations. Not big changes, mind you, I'm kind of like a child learning to walk again. Urgh.

Manga/Anime will most probably still be a major influence.

I have a huge problem, concerning my dA account and probably all my other internet accounts...

It all started last week. I have been playing on a certain virtual pet site, and it so happens that they got into some shit regarding a certain elongated feline.

Now that site is down, and so are all its fansites. The people who brought these sites down have hacked, spammed, and destroyed the various accounts of the admins and other users of the said pet site, including deviantart accounts. They spam profiles with porn links and other malicious content. They also hack accounts and replace deviations with inappropriate media.

I'm not paranoid. Some friends of mine have been and/or are currently experiencing these harassments. The dA account of the owner of the pet site is already frozen.

I have been very active in the said pet site, and now I'm afraid that they might get into my accounts. So in case something bad happens to this account, I just wanted to let you guys know that I DID NOT DO THOSE THINGS. You know me better than that.

I guess this is all. For now.

So after printer-bashing, I slept. Too long. x_X I was supposed to wake up at 4:30 am but I slept through the alarm and woke up at 5:30. I hated myself at that point.

I thought, "Great, another tardy mark for me." But lucky for me, I got to school 5 minutes early! I was all happyhappyjoyjoy inside

because for the first time this week, there was no traffic jam on my way to college!!! WOOOOOH!!!

The mood carried on even while I was taking my Business Math quiz on sinking funds.

It was a breeze~.

But my mood took a sharp turn when I saw my professor take my project, flip the cover, wrote a red check mark on it, then JUST GAVE IT BACK to me.

He didn't even read it!!! My 55-page paper was just worth 1 red check mark... Well, on the bright side, at least he gave me a good grade. BUT STILL! >_<

*sigh* I was in a foul mood until lunch break, but my temper mellowed as I chatted with my friends. ^_^ And I got to spend time with my orgmates, who are a lot of fun to be with, too.

Er... That's all.

I'm thinking of venting my frustrations on art. I feel stupid for not thinking of it earlier. If you want to get better at something, practice, you airhead... >_< Really. I guess I've really lacked motivation for the past couple of weeks and it put me down. I hate being unproductive.

Good thing ~fifthStitch commissioned me to do the artworks for his mechanical project for his programming class. It's an RPG, set in the future, and deals with cards with magical properties (he and his partner are MTG addicts

). The designs they're proposing are absolutely out of my comfort zone. They're making me draw dragons, for goodness sake!!!

Where did all the chibis go?

But I guess it's for the better. If I want to improve, I have to challenge myself. Besides, there's money involved!

Since time immemorial, we humans have sought ways to improve ourselves. We get that opportunity every New Year's Day. We make our so called "New Year's Resolutions" in the hopes of changing the things we don't want in ourselves.

But let's face it... Who has ever fulfilled their resolutions?! I applaud you if you have.

I'd rather change in my own time and with my own reasons instead of just going with the flow.

I haven't grown any taller... damn...

Ah well, another year of my life has passed... It's been tough but fun at the same time. Another year is just about to start, yet I feel nothing has changed nor will anything change for that matter...

I've always been a lonely person; I never seemed to fit, especially during high school. Tough as it seemed, I pushed through. After all, you can't please everyone right?

Then came college, the break I was looking for. It was really great at first, but people's minds change as swiftly as the wind changes direction. Haha, to cut it short, I guess I'll have to live with another angst-ridden year again

Don't feel sorry for me. I'm not the victim here. Besides it's my friggin' birthday!

good lord, it really does...

i've been sleeping for only 2-5 hours for the past few days. wahhhh... college life...

some of my blockmates even worsen my aggravation. some of them are so noisy and hyperactive that you'd want to throw a chair in their direction to shut them up, and some are just plain "DUH"

they don't help at all!!! but alas, i love my course and my new found friends, so i guess i will have to make do with what i have and rise up to the challenge.

the good thing is, i'm artisically inspired once again! yay!!!

i've been sketching and inking for the past few days

so maybe i'll be submitting them in the near future (once i get the time to color them, that is...

).

and aside from the collab with

i'll be making a fantasy-themed artwork for "Horizons", which is the official art publication of my alma mater, De La Salle - College of St. Benilde. I hope I'll make it!!! Pray for me!
