...because my "I haven't used sunscreen at all this year, and I haven't gotten burned either" attitude was apparently the wrong one to bring to the beach. -3-;;

The beach was kickasssssss. Me and my cousin silently agreed that we would act like the stereotypical rambunctious teenager, for the lulz.


We walked the boardwalk at least twice a day, usually stopping at either of the two arcades and wasting a crapload of money. We spent the tickets on army guys and bouncy balls (and two sticky hands, which didn't last long, the pieces of crap...). The balls we bounced on the boardwalk at night, running around like we were on crack and screaming/laughing as we tried to keep them from bouncing into the street and/or grass and tried not to hit people. We ended up loosing two, and saved the rest + the army guys for pool entertainment (the balls sank, the army guys floated).
There was a theater nearby and we saw Harry Potter(dayuuuuum) on a rainy day and G.I. Joe (OMFGOMFGOMFG)the day it came out.
We swam a lot at the hotel pool, partially because the water was a lot warmer than the ocean and partially because there was a real nice looking guy staying at the hotel, too. o3o;; We went to the ocean a few times. We got up at 6am EST to go fishing(caught some seaweed, yum) one day, there was a sandcastle competition another day, and we went yesterday just to swim.

On the morning we fished, I found this:

Also, I'm not nicknamed after the idiotic talking snowman. Froststream was the name of my first Warriors roleplay cat. That's where my nickname originated from.




So today, at school, I met my friend's boyfriend. We had to go eat during his lunch block due to an assembly, so he sat with us. It was only me and him at the table for a while because everyone else was up buying lunch. So we talked for a bit about "Hey, what a coincidence, I remember you from middle school!" and "Yeah, I remember having a rubber band war with you" and "do you remember so-and-so?"
Then we got into talking about relationships.

Him: So, do you have a boyfriend?
Me: No.
Him: At any time during high school?
Me: Nope! I've never had one, actually. *laughs*
Him: *confused* Are you serious?

And a few days before that another girl that I sit with at lunch told me I needed to get a boyfriend "so that I could be controlled"
Um, excuse me, what the fuck?

Ignoring the "controlled" part (which she said because I was making a sexual joke), even though it pisses me off, why do I [b]need[/b] a boyfriend?
I'm perfectly capable of functioning without one, and the idea of sucking face (or anything else for that matter) doesn't appeal to me right now. Besides, having one would only make life more complicated.
And it's not like I can't get a guy, because I have had guys ask.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just too selfish, wanting to do what I want to do in life and not wanting to give up any of my free time.
But, seriously, am I the only person like this? o_0
Because whenever I express my views to other people I get really strange looks.

I brought along my camera and took a ton of pictures.
Mainly of her two koi ponds and the frogs/toads I found.

I helped build this one a few years ago. Specifically, placing the rocks around the inside of the pond and building little rock shelves under the water to place plants on. Most of the fish in it are goldfish, but there's a few koi.

If you stick your finger into the water the fish will try and eat it. xD

This is the pond in her backyard, before we worked on it. It's much larger, and deeper, than the other one:

All the fish in it are koi, and most are around a foot long. They won't try and eat your fingers if you put them in the water. :C
But they swim in circles around your legs if you go into it.

So yesterday I extinguished a fire on this kid's back. o.o

In my Foods class, the group I'm in is made up of four people. Me, two other girls, and this guy. We were cooking and using the stove yesterday, and the guy was watching vegetables boiling on it. He turned around and the straps to his apron (which we all have to wear, no matter what we're doing in the kitchens) went into the flame and caught fire. It spread onto his shirt and quickly ate a hole in it. His back was to me, and I was dishwasher that day, so I took the towel I was using to dry dishes with and tried beating the fire out, while out teacher started screaming "Quick, quick! Stop, drop, and roll!"
There was no room for him to do that and my towel wasn't doing anything so I dunked it in the sink behind me, which was full of water, and put it on his back. It soaked him, and the floor, but it got the fire out. n_n
So he went to the nurse while the rest of us continued cooking. When he came back we were all done and he had a huge bandage on his back to cover the burns he got.
Our teacher said that she's never had that happen in any of her classes and now the other girls in my group are scared of the stove and make me work with it. -_-
