Honestly, what's on your mind?
The Day of Service was today and I missed it....I feel bad about that...I'm also thinking bout starting work on Monday, and about getting back into my fitness routine. Then I'm also thinking about Bobby. yup...pretty much sums it up.

So I finished planning my trip to Europe! I'll be going to Switzerland, Venice, Rome, Toulouse, Paris, Berlin, and then a two week bike tour through Austria ending in Vienna. I'll be there for a little over 4 weeks! I'm so exited.

I'm also going to Utah and Idaho for a few weeks! I'll see all of my friends and family that I haven't seen for 2 years.
Then I'm going with Autumn to Hawaii for 7-8 days!

This is going to be the Summer of my life!

After all of this traveling, I'll come home for about a week and then move into my apartment in Gainesville to finish my AA within the next year.

I'm so humbled that I'm being able to do all of this. How many people really get to see the world? It's a dream coming true. The only thing I'm sad about is that in about a month I'll be leaving my YSA group. I'm going to miss all of them soooo much. They've become the best part of these past 7 months. I love them. They're my bro's and sisters. Two of them are on missions, and about 4 of them are going out to BYU Idaho for school. We're all going through changes and our lives are moving us in different directions. I hope we can all come back during winter break and see each other.

Well, that's the update. Love life, it's too short to do anything else.

Mom started talking to me about college and the future and stuff and I always get panicy when I think about that too much. I feel ready, but I still am a little frightend of the unknown, and then when she starts saying things like "It's ok to be scared. It's ok to make mistakes, they're unavoidable.....things might not happen the way you expect them too..." yada yada yada...I get just a twincy bit wigged out ya know? Ah well. I have things to look forward to, and I am exited about the future.

I think I didn't do so hot on a Music Apprec. test this morning. There were things on that test that were NO WHERE in my notes. (Believe me, I checked). Oh well I've been doing really well so one bad test wont hurt too much. (Especially when I can get extra credit).

Well I chould probably go. I need to finish my costume for my Halloween party on Friday.

I know it is a sad book (It was the final battle what else could we expect) but amidst the fighting and dieing, there are so many scenes of love and friendship. I believe that reading it for a second time let me see that, because I was no longer focused on the pain.
It must simply be a sign of our human nature to dwell on the sorrowful and painful events. I've been browsing for some time on Deviant art and I have so far found only few pictures displaying the heroic and loving events that take place in this book. Instead I see countless interpretations of Snape's grief, of Ron's grief, of the Weasley's grief, of Harry's pain, of Fred's death, of Snape's death, and so on. It is saddening that there are no depictions of Nevile's bravery (pulling the sword of the hat for instance), or of Luna's support to Harry, or Grawps battle's with the giant (I know that's pushing it, but you get my meaning right?).
Please don't get me wrong, I think the artwork and the memorials to the tragic and painful events are beautiful, but I think we also need to honor our heroes in this book, in the way they'd like to be honored. I feel we need to focus on the good and realize J.K. Rowling didn't wish to leave us without hope.
My applause to that incredible woman! She has long been an inspiration to me. Not only is she a genius in the written word, but she understands human nature, and in her own way, she has silently stated a thousands things. Her bravery, her tenacity, and her love for her family and for the world, is inspiring. I honor her as a writer and as one who showed this judgmental world that from the depths of poverty can greatness be born.
I hope I can learn from her in many ways.

I have relished in the sweet tender moments of love and peace with those whom I love more than anything in this world, and I have clung through the darkest of days where seemingly no hope is found. Time brings both swiftly and takes away just as readily; however, it does seem to let those darker days linger on just a moment longer.
As I reflect on the time I have loved, used, and wasted, I feel a bittersweet pain surge through my heart. How I wish I had more tenderly clung to those precious moments of serenity and felicity, and how I smile as I look back on what then felt like horrific trials and now emerge as mere trifles.
Time is an entirely mortal law. Now as we dwell on Earth we must subject ourselves to its whim, but I know that once all Earth passes away, and as we escape these chains of humanity, time will altogether erase and have no meaning to us.
Remembering this truth is difficult, especially when the night comes casting hurtful sorrows upon our souls. If we hold fast to the idea that everything is but a moment, soon to be swept away with another gust of wind, we will gain strength more valuable than any mortal arm.
Time has changed me; as different as the land is to the sea, so too is my past self, and my present. I am wiser, older, and more humble because of it. I have come to a deep understanding of my own nothingness, and I realize I really know hardly anything. But these things I do know; that love is greater than any power in all existence and that by it wounds that could never be treated by medical means, are healed; friendships built upon trust, caring, selflessness and forgiveness will be worth more than all treasure combined and last longer than any grave; family is the most powerful force on the earth (besides the Lord's) and in the strongholds of a home will humanity be built and saved; and this truth, above all, that God the Almighty and his son Jesus Christ live and love all of us. They are my hope, my light in the darkest of days and coldest of nights. They hold me when all other arms fail, and my existence is in every sense indebted to them.
Time teaches one these truths, and through its tests, reaffirms them deep in our hearts.
My time on Earth had been richer than any dream. I have loved and been loved, not yet by any man, but by friends and by my family. I have known the best of all people, and my soul rejoices in these gifts.
Time is an interesting subject and brings about the most curious emotions.
Time has let me live these years of my life; time has brought me all my joy and pain. Time led me to the most wonderful of friends, and no matter how fast and furious it moves, time will never take them away from my heart.
To those loved ones of whom I have alluded to, know this; that no matter where are lives take us, I will forever love you, and remember you in all my days.
