These past few months have been...different and somewhat difficult. I dont ever think I have felt this way before. Its not that I have felt especially sad or anything like that, I have just felt that nothing mattered anymore. Pointless is propably the right word to use. My creative motivation and inspiration has not been present for the last 4 months. I have found this weird because I hounestly enjoyed playing with 3ds max, and I would easily have choosen that over a wet Saturday night. I know it is linked up with the troublesome backpain, which prevents me from sitting due to pain in the lower back. But I would never had thought it would affect me this much.

I have been to the doctor and turns out I have prolaps in my lower back, which is causeing inflation to the nerve going trought the spine and down my right foot. I am still waiting for an apointment with a specialist due in October some day. Then I will proabaly have to wait another 4-5 months for an operation. So here I am, spending most of my time laying down or walking the dog. I should be working now, earning lots of money...but no.

I think its time for a change, its about time to look at the postive side of things. I have family who supports me, real friends who stand by me.
Its about time I pull myself together. Expect to see more from me, I'm freaking back!

I got back from England on the 18th of may and concerning the weather this has been the best day so far.Today I've been lying outside enjoying the sun and listing to the radio. I'v even walked the dog, thought he like the weather his tongue was hanging outside his mouth most of the time.

I haven't been much on the computer due to the backpain, and I doubt that you will see much creativity on my part in the very near future. I have been drawing in my sketchbook and want to make a painting, but I dont have a canvas or painting or any brushes...so..I'll put it on hold for now.

Since I cant sit as much as I'v done erlier I will have to find some hobbies that I can to standing...maybe I will learn how to play the piano..or gitar. I really suck at both..lol. Maybe a good reason to start learning it.

Since it is summer is here now its time to clean our family's boat. Maybe I should try and the the boat certficate this summer? That would be cool..

That was more than 10 min, time to go...

I'm really existed about the modules this year. I'v chosen;
Drawing and composition, Advanced visual effects and Studio practise and Business.

Anywhoo. I just finnished up with a 25 episode anime serie called "Berserk". I recon this is more of a guys than girls movie 'cause there is ALOT of hacking and slahing with bloods flying everywhere. Never the less I found this anime to be truly interesting. If you are not very fond of the typical stereo type of movies coming of hollywood this is the serie for you. It's for the mature audience and should not be view by kids.

Obviously, I did'nt get it of.

The smell has stuck to all my clothes, my room, the bed, you name just about everything...So basically every window and door in the apartment that can be opened is up on wide gape. It's unbelivable that it is still here...I washed all my clothes and the bed sheet with the quilt and everything and it is still here?? Arrrg...it's driving me crazy.

Ok so I went and bought a new quilt set and bed sheet but I cant sleep in it before the smell is gone. So now I'm basicaly sitting in my out jacked because it's a bit chilly inside.

There has to be something to learn from this? There gotta by a moral? Make sure you wash properly? But I did..hmm. Don't get covered in smelly oil? Or maybe its, go to a massuse where you know there is a sauna or proper cleansing room? I don't know..well..got some frustraion out while writing this so thats a good thing

I'm leaving norway to study at the Teeside in Middlesbrough today. I'v allready been there once so I kinda know what awaits me. Whish me luck. I really gotta say, I hate english food..or at least the food they serve at hotels. Last time I went to the grocery store and bought my own food..luckly I survived. Maybe I'm over exaggerateing...anyhoo. I'll be without my computer the first week because it weighs to much and has to be sent with the local post office. Maybe that is not such a bad thing..I'll have more time at the pub that way... So long..

Wow

So many years in school and it is over..its kind of surreal.

However, now I'm heading over to the other side of the pool. Yeah, it is England-time. I'v been accepted at the Teeside University, on the 3rd and final year of the "Creative Digital Media" line.

The weather has been really good here in Norway, acually it has been the hottest summer in 135 years. So hot that Norway has experienced the biggest forest fire since the war..huh.

Guess what? I'v got a job! Its at a furniture company called "Møbelringen". I need money, and as much as I can make. My pc is getting old in these techno days. I'v been putting together a killer-machin on the web and I'm really look forward to when I can start ordering the pices.

Yesterday I moved all my belongings from the old appartment and back home. This means that I can finaly spend some more time with my friends and not just in the weekends. Im looking forward to that. And yeah, yesterday that was on of those days. I met up with a friend and neighboor who has also been studying away and it was great to see him again. We met up with a bestfriend of mine and then we saw two movies and played guitar hero until the morning, haha! This is the good times.

Also, it is worth mentioning that Bit-sinna finaly finished off the awsome character V:Eris which Im gonna make a 3d model out of. I'v been spending some time on the concept art cause I had to make a front view with some tricks in photoshop. Also I'v been downloading some female references for the anatomy which I'm gonna use through out the modeling fase. Basically it is for the feet and hands, and one for the front view because the one I made was off in some areas due to the fact I copied pices drawn in perspective. Anyhoo, its looking good so far...

It,s late now and I really gotta get in a good bed rutine when I start to work in one week..I'v been having this bad habbibt with going to bed when the bird start sing, hah.

I'v set up a flowchart or a plan if you like, for what I'm gonna spend my time on and how long each task is going to take. I feel like allot of pressure has been liftet of my shoulders now that I have something to relate to. I know that if I stick this plan I will reach my goal.

My previus short left me with allot of valuable experience. I know that making a movie in 3d take a lot of work and time - However this year it will not stand on top as priority one, it has to make room for something more important. Nothing is more that important than living the real life outside the virtual one among family and good friends.

So with that in mind I look forward to hard work, late nights, challenges and the headacke it might bring, heavy intake of pizza, soda and other unhealty foods, fustrations, joy, laughter, the late night bus and all the people on bord it. I also look forward to have the time to work out at the gym, visit my parents in the weekends, play videogames, watch movies, play with my dog and have time to do all the daily needs a guy like me has to do in order to feel happy!

What else, yeah so I'm back at school. We have acually done a few 2d animations, a ball bouncing, a walkcycle and a guy jumping from one side of the paper to the other.

We are kind of moving in the wrong direction, first year we learned about 3D now we spend more time on 2D. Well I guess it kinda nice to get to see that part too.

Is it worth mentioning that I'v reasontly finished reading a book entirely out of my own will. I mean without someone (useually) a teacher or someone making me read something I really don't wanna read. It was'nt acually that bad, I quite enjoyed it. I looked forward getting in to bed just so that I would know what was happening next. I read a book about in the World of Warcraft series which takes you through the story with Thrall, the orc slave who laters escape his "master" and becomes the chieftan of the snow wolf clan, where he really origins from.

Now what? This is getting thin, I made chicken filet in marinade with rise and vegtables yesterday! I just had to say it, Anywho.....I'm of now, need to do some shopping, like sope and stuff...

Well what can a guy like my do about it? Not much. Now, it has'nt all been downsides. I had the house and the car for myself the last 4 weeks now so thats a big pluss. Also, some amazing films has been on the cinema like Transformers and the new Harry Potter. Transformers was over all my expectations, it was awsome and if you haven't seen it is yet I command you to do so...because I'm your Daddy and you'll do what say.. yeah.

Anyway, I'm a little curious about when the school starts, date and time would be lovely. I'm especially hinting to you now shadowcat..hint hint....since you are never available throught MSN. Argg.

Edit: 28th of august, still a couple of days left then...I'm a bit curious about wheter to go for webstudent and have paid work on the side or go for classroom with teacher...I still have'nt forgot about the terrible conditions at school last semester.

Also, it is also worth metioning that I have Zbrush 3, woohoo. And when I learn how to use it properly I will upload my works right here on DA. I'm fooling around with a creature that I'v named the The Diver, it's a flying insect about the size of a little bird, and its nasty. It is a crossover between a snake, alien, bird and a scorpion.

Also we have got a new assignment at school. It is character design. So I`v had this idea in my head for a long time now and I`v also had i scetched down on the paper. Unfortunantly I`m a bit unmotivated, I`m not quite sure about how to go about make some parts of him. I haven`t decided yet how detailed I`m going to make him while at the same time try to match up with the deadline set at the end of this month. Well, there is one thing I`m sure about and that is that I`v been slacking way to much the latest couple of week and it is about time to get serious again. I know I will feel allot better once I`m ahead of the scedule.

Animex however was very cool. Professional people working in the 3D games and film industri talked about differents aspects within the buisness. We got to talk with people from Pixar, Dreamwork, Framestore, just to name a few.

I`m working on a assignment at the moment, so I have`nt had the time to start on the 100 themes challenge yet, I feel bad, but I have`nt forgot it.

I was at my parents house this weekend, so I went to visit a good friend of mine. We saw two movies, the first was Unleashed with Yet Li as one of the main charracter called Danny the dog. His mom got shot and from he was a little boy he was "trained" by a english sort of gangster. It`s not a role you usually see Yet li in , but I think he did a really good acting. Pretty violent, and exelent fighting sceens, you gotta love em.

Mirrormask was the second film we saw, it`s suposed to have a deeper meaning and so forth, and maybe it has, but if you wanna get your brain fried this is the movie to watch. You enter a dreamlike world, really really fucked up if you ask me. It`s a constant mix between 3d, 2d, ordinary film, so prepare to see the weird things, like birds walking on piles, giants floating in the air, and the amusing cat-people, riddlemaker and so on.

That`s about it, now, get lost.
