Totally have to agree with all of you who say people are getting fake on here. So I gave in and let's see who really reposts this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. AP Computer Science 12- Mr. Bird again. I've had him for Info Tech 11H last year, and he's coached the dragonboat team for both years I joined the team. Nice guy, only if he doesn't talk as much. It's going to be a pretty mundane class.

Writing 12- It's a teacher who's very well-known in my school, but I've never actually got him before. Pretty laid-back, but likes to get thing going so that's the first assignment. I get the impression that it's going to be a relaxing class.

PE- Among the smallest guy again. Good thing this is a co-ed class with like four other girls and a few other classmates that I actually know. Going to be fun with probably ice hockey.

AP Psychology- Right after PE, and on the opposite end as well. It's also a pretty full class, but pretty interesting despite the two-inch thick textbook.

Math 12- Same boring stuff, with a teacher who likes to move fast, too. Another assignment.

AP Physics- It's the infamous Mr. Fuederer, known for speedy lectures. X_x Good thing I'm able to get the help of a note taker. Probably the most learning intensive class of all.

Dance 12- Don't ask why I picked this. >_> To my dismay, there was only TWO boys in a class of thirty-plus, plus I'm stuck with several pretty cute classmates. >_< Jeebus, being as inexperienced with that big of a group as I am, it's going be the most stomach wrenching class.

English 12 Honours- A teacher that actually jokes. Talks a lot, but not as much as Ms. Grenier from last year. Another note-taker...

I got my report card back. All A's except for two 80-ish B's.

I got my yearbook and had it signed by a record number of four people.

^_^ As much as we tried, we just weren't able to achieve the speed we needed to beat enough teams. On the bright side, we significantly reduced our time by a whooping twenty-seconds. In the end, two boats from my school were eliminated in the same heat. There's another boat full of Burnaby South grads, but they're quite independent and doesn't have much to do with the younger boats. I didn't stay around long enough to see how did Team Magnum do in the finals, but I knew that they were in the finals. Alright, for those of you living outside of Vancouver, BC, this weekend's the Alcan Dragonboat Festival. As a paddler for my school and a junior team, it was an early bird wake up time (like before 7-- BLASPHEMY! ). I had only a light breakfast as I already consumed like two pounds of sphaghetti with meat sauce. I got there early, miraclously found the tent within the first five minutes of arrival (unlike last year, which was about an hour) and actually got to warm up. I was in the 8:22 heat, but we had to line up much earlier than that. It was just like that, and we went right out into the water.

Nothing extraordinary happened as Paul, the paddler in front of me, showed his inexperience. Not only he managed to be bothersomely out of synchronization and slack off in the middle of the race (Hey! It's a goddamn race here! GET YER ASS MOVING~ ), he also managed to stick his paddle in the path of mine while I was just getting into rhythem. In turn, it knocked me out of timing as well and frustrated me. It probably was my fault as much as it is his, as I think I overextended my stroke several times.

It may be less than one minute, but it was a helluva longer than that when you're out on the water in the soggy weather, barely awake for an hour, and it put quite the strain on the muscles. I really need to train my muscles some more, or just better techniques. We came in the seventh place.

Then the second heat came rolling around three hours later. I had to sit out, and Paul got a seat. Obviously, they didn't do well. Another seventh place. All I can do is just watch while they fought for sixth, it was a valiant battle, but not done early enough to win. Now my team's got to race an extra heat in order to advance to the finals or face OMG elimination. It was sad, but when I look at the gold medal in my room, I think back of last year. Last year, we were in exactly the same situation (5th and 7th) only to come back from behind and stole the gold in division B. It was a surprise last year, even though I wasn't paddling for the last two races.

I'm seriously crossing my fingers for a repeat of last year.
