Well, the reason is that i'm out to study in a Missionary School for the Nations. I'm devoting myself to preach the Good News (AKA Gospel) through the supernatural manifestation of the Holy Spirit - something that was burning deep in my heart for long.

I can't tell if I'll ever work again with illustrations/comics, but i'll surely keep it as a hobby, and post stuff whenever i can.

Eu acho que todo mundo já sabe, mas em todo o caso, finalmente consegui aquela tablet que esperei tanto tempo.

Logo terei páginas finalizadas fresquinhas de Geddeon n5 e n6 - o problema é que esqueci de scanear a n5 e enquanto isso to finalizando as páginas de n6. Por outro lado... quando for finalizar a n5 já vou estar bem craque! hahahahaha

I still remember that day. I was very, very bored, and decided to browse through DA's recent deviations just to see if i'd have the luck to find a good artist. That's when i found *rawREN's deviation: Narcisse. It's depth and volume caught my attention - not to mention the perfect anatomy, tho it's a copy of a statue i think - and i had to greet him for such a beautiful work. But it didn't stop there. Ren revealed his artistic nature by encouraging me to develop my comment a little further. That's when i knew i've just met another true artist.
I was curious to see more of his work, and as soon as i saw Profile Study 1 i noticed how good he is at defining the forms with small and short strokes. He says in the comments: "I had fun with her ear too". Personally, i think that one can improve the notion of form by drawing ears, and i can see a lot of improvement potential in Ren's skills.
In his gallery, Statuesque also caught my attention. I just love the hilights over the right spots, and the subtle shadow tones gives a depth awesomeness! This makes me wonder how wonderful it will be when Ren do a full color piece someday. In this deviation's comments, Ren explains about the "breathtaking" theory. I encourage everyone to read it.
Another impressive work is Combat Series 1. Anyone can see that Ren has some combat experience, and so he said it to be true for he had combat classes by the time he served the army.
Overall, I love ren's anatomy, but he's also good at comic stripes, and has an wide and compreensive artistic mind.

Going through ~Kelly-violet's gallery, i'm captured by the nostalgy of the Disney animations i used to watch back then.
Her life is full of fun and colors, the fact that she has no dark spots makes me wonder what kind of joyful times her friends have around her. Publicity Woman isn't the kind of art that most people in DA would consider "eye candy", but it rather performs the complex way to build light and shadow thorugh the repeating of MMMs WWWs and even FFFs. My favourite deviation is the Art Trade which can bring a smile on anyone's face, if not a bursting laugh.

~DivingSiren has so much good stuff that it was hard for me to pick the best ones. She has such a good taste for colors, as you can see in TPAC a Trio which is colored with MARKERS! Hi people!

College is almost over, just 3 days left!

My right arm. I was laying too much wheight over it, so the solution is to use my left arm to hold the bodywheight and also staying with my feet forward rather than backwards (like under my chair) that helps the weight balance. There's also some other reasons like lack of muscular training and streching. Now i need to get speed again, and have fun

Have you seen the movie "Turistas"? There's some people really pissed off about it.
I'm not gonna watch that movie anyway, i have lots of other movies that i couldn't see because i've been so busy this year. But personally, i don't blame the americans for the lack of information.

I belive that it's the responsability of one to look after information and learn about other cultures. Some people say "americans don't care about other cultures". Well, that's not what i've seen in Hotel Rwanda, The Last Samurai, Prince of Egypt, The Passion of Christ (and this is a good one, the bestest movie about jews i've ever seen).

I can tell that, as a brazillian, i know several brazillians that don't know shit. I could tell for my self! I know very little about my own country - don't presume that i belive everything i see in the news, i rather believe in travelers and elder ones. And i don't know a thing about South America (Argentina, Peru, Chile and etc).

As a brazillian i can say that just because 90% of the movies here are US, we think that we know all about americans.

Said so, i state: Being ignorant is not a fault, not until you learn the truth.

Colégio tá acabando, só mais três dias.

Olha, se vc não sabe inglês, eu sinto muito, mas muito mesmo!!! Não, eu não vou deixar de traduzir o jornal, hahahahah

Mas você não sabe a quantidade de informação que você perde por não saber inglês. Só de pensar que eu não poderia acessar o [link] já me deixa triste!

Ah, meu braço direito... sim, eu descobri que preciso apoiar meu peso sobre o braço esquerdo, e colocar as pernas para a frente. Sem contar que tem mais outros fatores.

Acho que vocês já ficaram sabendo do filme "Turistas".
Bem, nem vou ter tempo de ver esse filme, tenho muita coisa pra ver ainda.
Mas depois de tudo o que eu já ouvi, eu não culpo os americanos pela falta de informação.

Eu acredito que a responsabilidade de procurar se informar e aprender sobre outras culturas é individual. Alguns dizem "os americanos não ligam para outras culturas". Bem, não é o que eu vi em Hotel Rwanda, O Último Samurai, O Príncipe do Egito, A Paixão de Cristo (e esse é muito bom, o melhor filme sobre judeus que eu já vi).

Posso dizer como brasileiro, que conheço muitos que não sabem porcaria nenhuma. Posso dizer por mim mesmo! Eu sei muito pouco sobre nosso país - não ache que eu acredito em tudo o que vejo no jornal nacional, prefiro acreditar em viajantes e nos mais velhos. E eu também não sei quase nada sobre a América Latina (Argentina, Peru, Chile, etc)

Talvez porque 90% dos filmes que passam são norte-americanos, o povo acha que sabe tudo sobre os americanos.

Sheesh... I can't draw today, my wrist is aching, I think Im overdoing, so Im gonna type.

Last week I watched Over The Hedge, and also its making of, and it caught my attention the fact that the animators had a hard time doing the interaction scenes, such as hugging. They said that the scene with group hug was the hardest one.

So I was thinking not just the animators avoid that, nor just the pencilers, but everyone! Even in movies with real people.

And why is that? I believe thats because we avoid touch with people all day long. As we walk down the street, as we ride the bus, as we walk through our houses, think about it.

We just let ourselves be touched by people we know and trust in a matter of levels of relationship. It also works the other way, we just touch people that we know that they have given us some "space" or intimacy.

Of course, this is not everyones case. There are some people that touch and let being touched without limit, and theres some others that dont touch or let be touched at all!

My point is: would this daily experience affect our work? I firmly believe so. Art is to express the way we see and feel the world around us.

If one isnt used to human contact and touch, his/her tendency would be of doing isolated characters, getting into contact only in fight scenes.

When we touch and let be touched, we feel more alive, so our imaginative and inspirational functions work more fluid and spontaneous, in less need of external sources of inspiration, like references.

Ive personally been through that, when the time comes that I wanted to do a hug picture, I couldnt find the references in my mind!

As a final note, Id advice you to not look after this just as a "key" to unlock your artistic skills, but also to unlock your heart. And if you have a hard time trying to do that by yourself, remember that Jesus is near, you just need to call him, and hell be there.

Caramba não estou conseguindo desenhar hoje, meu pulso está doendo muito, acho que exagerei então vou digitar um pouco.

Semana passada eu assisti Os Sem Floresta, e também o making of do filme, e me chamou a atenção o fato dos animadores terem dificuldade de fazer as cenas de interação, como os abraços. Eles disseram que a cena do abraço em grupo foi a mais difícil.

Então comecei a pensar não só os animadores evitam isso, nem só os desenhistas, mas todo mundo! Até mesmo em filmes com pessoas de carne e osso.

E por que isso? Eu acredido que seja porque evitamos tocar nas pessoas durante o dia todo. Ao andarmos pela rua, ao andarmos de ônibus, ao andarmos pela casa, pense nisso.

Só deixamos sermos tocados por aqueles que conhecemos e confiamos em certos níveis de relacionamento. Mas por outro lado, também só tocamos naqueles em que sabemos que temos liberdade para isso.

Claro, nem todo mundo é assim. Há aqueles que tocam e se deixam serem tocados sem limites, e tem aqueles que nem tocam nem se deixam ser tocados.

O ponto é: poderia essa experiência diária afetar nosso trabalho? Eu creio que sim. Arte é expressar a maneira que vemos e sentimos o mundo ao nosso redor.

Se alguém não está acostumado com contato e toque humano, a tendencia é trabalhar com personagens isolados, entrando em contato apenas em cenas de luta.

Quando tocamos e somos tocados, nos sentimos mais vivos, e nossa imaginação e inspiração funciona com mais fluidez e espontaniedade, com menos necessidade de fontes externas de inspiração, como referências.

Eu pessoalmente já passei por isso, quando queria fazer uma cena de abraço, mas não conseguia achar referencias na minha mente!

Em nota final, gostaria de aconselha-lo(la) a não usar esta "chave" só para melhorar seu talento artístico, mas para também desbloquear o seu coração. E se você tiver dificuldades tentando fazer isso sozinho, lembre-se que Jesus está perto, você só precisa chamá-lo, e ele estará lá.

Eu nem ligo mto, até pq fiz a arte só por alegria mesmo, nem lembro pra quem q foi...

TAMBÉM, tenho me divertido muito e me inspirado com as animações do =Kite-ridE que podem ser vistas AQUI Ó. O desenho parece rabisco de criança, mas veja uns e vai perceber que a noção do piah de movimento, câmeras, transições e sincronismo são de um profi!!!

1. Clean up the nose up to 5 times a day, and I can use any of my fingers to clean up my nose.

2. Have a cold shower before going to sleep, to prevent a running nose.

3. Sleep with a bunch of clothes and few blankets... that way i don't get lazy about gettin up from bed.

4. I take off my shoes whenever it's possible, everywhere i go, for my feet heats up a lot.

5. Get the bus in peak hours just to get surounded by people o_O (why get an empty bus?)

6. Punch the air to exercise.

3. Durmo com muita roupa e pouca coberta - ajuda a não ter preguiça de levantar da cama.

4. Tiro o tenis sempre que possível, qq lugar q eu vá, pq meu pé esquenta.

5. Escolho pegar o onibus na hora do rush, so pra ficar cercado de calor humano o_O

man how i hate this thing in me
i wish i could have a girl to hit me with a guitar (FLCL) so it could just pump out my head!
i know i'm good, but it's possible - if not essential - to be good without being proud!
not to mention that there's kinds of prides. but i think i just got the worst!!! lol

does anyone know any tips to get rid of it? public atcs of humiliation perhaps?

PLUS, i've been watching *elsevilla for a while and i admire his work, take a look if you never seen him around

ORGULHO - minha pior característica

cara, como eu odeio isso em mim!
queria ter uma guria pra me espancar com uma guitarra (FLCL) e tirar isso da minha cabeça na pancada
eu sei q sou bom, mas é possível - se não essencial - ser bom sem ser orgulhoso.
sem mencionar que existem tipos de orgulho. mas eu acho que tenho o pior de todos! hahahahaha

alguém tem uma dica de como se livrar disso? manifestações humilhantes em público talvez?

Match is such a crazy guy. He's a talented illustrator, and has more experience than i do with indenpendent comics. Match is also both leader and creator of the OKAY team. The concept and main storyline of Adar and Hoshya-Na (the icomic i'm working on) is also his idea.
Match é um cara doido demais! Ele é um desenhista talentoso, e tem mais experiência que eu com zines. Ele também é o líder e fundador da equipe OKAY. O conceito e cerne da história de Adar e Hoshua-Na (o zine q eu to fazendo) também é idéia dele.
