The good news is, because of me writing during my breaks at work and while I'm home, the story is progressing at the previous good rate again, chapter 8 is already for about 2/3rds done and progressing well. This time I'll make sure you don't have to wait so long for the next chapter.

Then, the bad news. Actually it's not really bad news, only for those looking to add their own OC's t the story. I've spent today's break finalising the story content, and that included getting every character into it. This means that the current OC's in the story are the only ones that will ever be in it.('s Tetsuo and Chisaki and 's Yushio who will be introduced in one of the coming chapters and is also featured in 's A Soul's Worth.
So far I've worked out all the characters for every Taichō, Fukutaichō and important seated officers. I'm not going to say anything about anyone else yet though, I don't want to spoil the plot ^^.

Anyway, I have the characters, but I still need some abilities, so if you have any good ideas you are willing to share, I'm all ears

I hope that I'll be able to meet your expectations in the future as well as I continue to write the story. Currently we're moving into the second half of what I like to call the "Academy Arc". Which is meant as an introductory arc. After that, I'll continue with the main arc in which you'll finally get to see some answers to the questions that will arise after the Academy arc.

In any case, I've started work on chapter 7, but since I've got my most difficult exam coming up, I haven't been able to write all too much (and it's quite a difficult chapter as well). Release date should be somewhere before the end of the next week if all goes well.

it's an instant classic in my opinion
the main reason for this is the amount of action in the game
the no-base building formula, coupled with the fact that your unit points are returned to you once a unit is destroyed, make for some intense combat in practically every sitation
but the one thing that makes the game especially intense, is the support tab, you can find just about any type of support, ranging from simple paradrops, tankdrops, recon sweeps,... to full blown artillery barrages, air strikes, A-10 strikes, napalm strikes, daisy cutters, and carpet bombing by a B-52 and to top it off, nukes and chemical weapons

the grande finale in seattle is worth it, with you defending the city you just retook from a soviet counterattack with a handfull of units, with just about every offensive support power at your disposal (minus the nukes and chemical weapons of course, don't want to blow up the city you just liberated)

feeling kinda better now, after defeating the commies, and thanks to the fact that with some luck, i'll be seeing my girlfriend the day after tomorrow

Good news is that it was the motherboard that got damaged, so hopefully they won't have touched my HD, which has all my data on it, though i doubt it.

first the bad, my laptop broke down, leaving me unable to do anything for about 2 weeks or so
this because modeling on my old comp is practically impossible

good news is that i've passed the only exam i had to retake, so the 17th of September i'll be starting the 2nd year of my education in ICT

1.) Most of the time i use a sketch (no matter how rough) for my models, but sometimes i let my imagination run wild

2.) I hate doing round shapes, they use waaay too much poly's and they're harder to do than regular blocks and such

3.) My tempo is mostly regulated by my mood, for as long as i'm not in the mood to model, i don't model, this causes my release tempo to fluctuate wildly

5.) Even though i know how to make a skin, my skill with photoshop is lacking, so that's why every model that has a skin, has been skinned by someone else

6.) I'm here because i wanted to see more of lacus2887's drawings, and to contact her to buy more of her drawings, little did i know i'd end up as her boyfriend ^^

7.) I'm proud of every model i've made, since you can clearly see a progressing line in them, it shows that i improve with every model i make

9.) i look up to a good pal of mine, herman, lives in costa rica, and is one hell of a modeler and skinner

had to clean up my room today, which was equivalent to having a bulldozer sweep through it
it's not done yet, but mostly, just sorting all of the junk i have lying around, and making a selection of what can stay, and what has to go

examples of the junk (or not):

empty gun and cannon shells
posters
manga's (around 140 of 'em)
dictionaries (english, french, dutch, german, latin,...)
old LP's
a couple of binoculars
a huge pile of CD's and DVD's
some external HD's
some computers
a couple of wallscrolls
some remnants of the time i played pokemon (THE HORROR!!!)
books (mostly english ones, even though i'm from belgium)
schoolbooks
a collection of daggers, swords (including a japanese wakizashi), axes, ...
plush toys from my childhood days


and a heck of a lot of other stuff that i can't seem to remember right now

well, today i took everything out and dumped it in the chamber next to mine, rearranged the furniture, and cleaned out my room with precision that borders on the "deutche grundlichheit"

so tomorrow everything comes back in

too bad i don't have the money to go to werchter or graspop (and too bad i didn't have the chance to register for security on the festivals either)

friday i get my results from the exams, so that's what you'd call D-day
though someone i know alse recieves her exams that day, so i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us
