Well thanks, I really wanted to be spoiled, having known for months now that Marian was going to die, meaning that I had nothing better to do than analyse what might have been an enjoyable death scene had I not been expecting it and therefore expecting to analyse every second.

Marion=idiot.

AND THEY KILLED CARTER. I LOVE THAT GUY.

So overall reaction is frustration. I miss Carter more than Marion because despite being a fantastic fighter, she has to go and die like a stupid WOMAN. Seriously! 'Oh well, even though I'm going to die when the sword's pulled out and I only have limited time with Robin, I'm going to pull it out now and hasten my death. I will die on my own terms, not when Guy's sword dictates it!!' Djaq: 'uh, actually, didn't it dictate the terms of your iminent death when it entered your stomach?' Marian: 'SHUT UP WITH YOUR LOGIC AND LET ME DRAMATICALLY DIE ALREADY!!!" *dead* X_x;;

Um... wow. Where do I start? I've never had so many pageviews as all the rabid ATLA fans coming to check out my posting of a "spoiler" of Zuko shooting/redirecting lightning, called SPOILERS111 Zuko doing WHAT?

Now, for those of you desperately searching my gallery for such a spoiler - I hate to burst your bubble, but the spoiler WAS A FAKE. See 's journal for the announcement - BP drew the image before the Season 3 release date, and (rather admirably, in my opinion!) fooled half the fandom into thinking it was a real spoiler! As a result of BP's posting the image and claiming authorship (er - artist-ship?) over it, my copy of the image was removed following a "policy violation". It makes sense, as I never was (nor claimed to be!) the real artist behind the image.

THE BOOK WAS LE BRILLORZ! The epilogue was shite and read like bad fanfiction.

*ahem* The REAL point of this journal is to mention that I just finally got my hands on the community newspaper for Melville - the one that my friend Pj and I got our photos in on Harry Potter launch day! It says we'd been up since 4:30 and everything. This makes me SUPREMELY HAPPY!

Ok... *breathes deeply*... I just needed to get that out of my system. Ok. NOW on to the whinge for the day.

So as a lot of my friends know, I've been calling all the ticketing managers of Greater Union and Hoyts cinemas for MONTHS now, trying to find out when the premiere screening in Perth of 'Pirates Of The Caribbean 3: World's End' would be... and then also ringing their bocs office people and bugging them, being told a MILLION (ok overstatement... maybe 12...?) times that no, that particular movie isn't on their database systems yet, and it's usually put on about three weeks prior, and then and only then can you pre-book tickets.... blah blah blah. Also I've been checking back on their websites a LOT to see if they're selling online.

Long story short - I found out when the premiere is going to be for Perth.

I have two words and two words only to describe this.




NOT. FAIR!!!!!


The screening is, first and foremost, a GOLD CLASS screening, meaning that ONLY PEOPLE ABOVE 18 MAY SEE IT, and second (and perhaps more importantly).... it's held at 10:15. Fine.


Except... it means ten fifteen AM.


On a THURSDAY.


WTF!!!!


*goes away to bash her head into a wall some more until she calms down*




So. Looks like we won't be attending the premiere like the rabid fans we are. BUT I AM NOT DEFEATED!!! WE'LL BE AT THE FIRST SESSION WE CAN GET TO!!!! (even though it is exam week and evening screenings will be packed)

*ahem* ANYWAY – I have just seen the finale of A:TLA, after having been so frightened to watch it during termtime because of the effect it may have had on me – I cried when Jet died, and so I knew that I wouldn’t be able to cope with Zuko’s betrayal during school and exam time. So, yesterday night it was.

And I just gotta say – GAH! SEASON THREE OF AVATAR HAS TO START FREAKING SOON! And then I got all stressed because I’ve been downloading the episodes to watch from theavatarportal.com (being a Nickelodeon/Foxtel-deprived Aussie, episodes are hard to get hold of!) and the next episode (obviously) wasn’t there.

Then, naturally, I got to scheming. And plotting. And… well, let’s just cut to the chase and say that I decided I needed to find out what happens in the next episodes, and that the easiest way for me to do that currently was to write my own fic. I’ll say right now that while I sadly believe that Kataang has more evidence towards it’s canonification in season 3 (at least until Aang gets rid of his attachment to Katara to intentionally achieve the Avatar state), Zutara would be much more romantic and a great way of proving that he’s joining the Gaang which I believe he must eventually do for Aang to have any hope of defeating Ozai.

So, I’ll have the first chapter up soon!

So you all know I'm still in school, Year 11, right? Ok, now you do Well, my school has an internal email system, which is great for reporting lost property because although we have a daily bulletin where we are supposed to place notices, nobody reads the Lost Property ones. EVER.

SO, I sent a mass email to "All Students" because my school hat and rowing jacket were missing. The hat, which I have since had returned, was lost through no fault of mine at a school church service. I was in the choir, and my mum brought my hat to be passed along the choir to me, but it was misplaced by someone unknown en route. Then, the rowing jacket just was one of those things (like left socks) that seems to have no feasible explanation for it's absence. However, it has a lot of sentimental value (they don't even make that kind of jacket anymore) and I REALLY want it back.

The email looked like this:
"Hi everybody.

I understand that everyone is getting sick of these emails - however, perhaps if people read the bulletin notices, "lost item" emails wouldn't be necessary. I apologise in advance, then, for the following email.

I am missing a school hat and an old-style rowing jacket.

The school hat was brought to college sunday by a friend, to be passed along the rows of choristers to me; however it disappeared en route. It is the older kind (with the green ribbon tails).

The rowing jacket was lost in the Year 11 locker rooms. It is green with a yellow polar fleece interior and has a small rip in the green front on the right side. It has a lot of sentimental value.

Please keep an eye out! If found, please return these items to me personally or my head of year, Mrs *******.

Thank you,
Raimei (only of course my real name went here)."

NOW, you would think that this was entirely reasonable, right? That I have as much right as the next person to ask for people to keep an eye out for my things??? Being a year eleven student, I'm completely familiar with the procedures for reporting lost property, but I know that nobody reads the bulletin notices, and I haven't sent this kind of email before. I also would hope that I'd be afforded a small amount of respect being an older student. Not bowing in the corridors or stupid stuff like that, but just that people actually care a little bit and moderate their language accordingly.

Anyway, here are some of the replies I got back.


1: people just delete these e-mails you know, nobody reads them.

[my comment: I KNOW that, but more people would read them than bulletin notices!!!! I wouldn't send them if I didn't think there was a chance that people would read them! If people just delete them, what are you doing sending a reply? *sigh* think anti-angst, think anti-angst, she's only a year 10... but a "hi Raimei" and a "from E, yr 10" would be nice.... *gloom*


2: raimei seriously GET LOST! no offence... but we are all getting sick of your lost items... START REMEMBERING TO PICK THEM UP!!

[*starts bashing her head against a wall* ALL my lost items? ExCUSE me? Since when do Year 9 students have the authority to tell me to get lost? And OVER THE INTERNET? This was not an issue of forgetting to pick something up. School hats are expensive and they don't make the old style hats anymore, just like they don't make the Rowing jackets anymore. The main reason for me to send this email was to get back my rowing jacket, which has a lot of sentimental value more than anything. It was actually quite difficult for me to sink to the level of sending school emails to get back lost items, as I know how annoying it can get, and I made an effort to acknowledge that in the body of the letter. Maybe I would listen to you, year 9 student, if you didn't use such strong language, used proper punctuation, capitalised sentences, and didn't repeatedly rape the shift key.]


*sigh* I won't post any more, it's too depressing. I haven't replied to any, except for this one nice Year 9 who told me that my hat was in a different lost property box than the one I'd checked and had forgotten existed. I told her that she'd restored my faith in her year group.

Anyway, what do you think I should do? I don't want to report the really rude ones for fear that I'll get labelled a cow in time for prefect elections; that is, if I haven't ruined my chances. To think that all I wanted was my rowing jacket back!
