This, needless to say, ticked off the already quite peeved fellow and in front of God, my fellow, and the cars in the parking lot of my fellow's house, he grabbed my wrist and twisted it. Now I've got a weak wrist from some damage done when I was a kid, and he's a strong fellow when NOT too wasted to hold back, so needless to say, he really hurt me. I've got a bit of a hard-brace and a wrap on it, but it's difficult to type anything on the left side of the keyboard. This'd be my excuse for not saying much when I am online this weekend and for the next week or so.

Okay, so I figured this morning that my wrist was okay enough to take the wrap off and use it and such... So guess what happens next?

I'm walking to campus from my fellow's house (about a half mile perhaps) and I stumble over a ditch that was full of grass and I didn't see it. To keep from pitching into 45 mph traffic, I catch myself with my hands. I fell right onto my sore wrist and -heard- it crack again. Not only did -I- hear it, but the person I was walking with heard it. It was swollen up and all red and puffy before we made it to campus. So I'm back to the wrap and brace thing again... Totally sucks.

I probably should've brought y'all back up to date, but I'm all betters now. My wrist is fine again, minus a twinge now and again, but other than that, I'm spiffy. Even better, my friend has, so far, managed to keep his avow to stay off the alcohols. Even spending time in an enviroment where others were drinking (a few unaware folks offered him beer or such), he has managed to decline politely and friendly-like. He's still apologizing out the [behind] for that weekend, but he's well forgiven and we're still friends and whatnot. Happy ending for all involved.

That being said, I just had an idea this morning (it's about 1:30 right now, AM) about kids. Some folks say there should be an exam or something that folks have to take before they can have kids, right? Well maybe not. Everybody takes their kid in to a doc when the child's like four or five, right? IQ test and all that. Well what if, when the kid's score comes out, if it's not at or above X high, the fucker gets sterilized. That way there wont be anymore ignorant fuckers procreating and raising more ignorant fuckers, and the human race will, genetically speaking, become more intelligent over time. If the smart breed, the only the genes of smart will be passed on. Stupidity might end up being weeded out.

Should we wish to speed up this process, just fucking remove all the warning labels and safety tags on everything. If you're dumb enough to put a toaster in your bathroom because you want toast while having a bubble bath YOU DESERVE TO FUCKING DIE YOU FUCKWIT, not earn your surviving retards a settlement for your GODDAMNED IDIOCY. I knew my friends were gonna do something together (They ended up doing Mai-Hime), but I also knew I wasn't going to want to be around eight ppl all day long, and so, would have a way-less chance of being recognized as anything more than a chick in a yellow school-girl outfit with funny hair.

Friday
We left Friday morning (sort of, cuz there were a LOT of delays, what with packing space issues thanks to me, and Jeb forgetting his identification). When we finally made it to Richmond, we checked into our hotels first, and that in itself took a rather long time because of the lines and again, baggage/space stuff. Everyone but me got a bed, but I was okay with that because I got my own air mattress in a corner, and that's way better than sharing sheets with someone.

We went across the skylight and into the con center and got our con badges, then went back to the hotel room to get on costumes. Again, everyone else was Mai-Hime related, but I was Dark Jak from Jak II: Renegade

My costume was a crazy pain to put on, cuz it took like twice as long as everyone elses, what with makeup and hairpaint to apply, little parts that had to be attached (by someone else since I couldn't reach them) and various details to be sorted out in the right order lest it look off... but it looked okay in the end I thought. My friends looked GREAT together, and the bright orange wig of one, and very long/tall cardboard weapon of another made them generally quite easy to locate, even in a crowded hallway.

I went by artist's alley first, obviously attracted by the massive amounts of shiney things, and more importantly, the Guitar Hero II setup in the corner. I bought a couple prints, and even met Chris Malone, creator of the MAJORLY AWESOME online comic [Blue and Blond] ended up getting a picture of him and his ladyfriend, as well as buying the first two volumes in print. I was so estaticly pleased with said comic books.

I was rather surprised at the number of both naruto characters, and of people who wanted my photograph. I even had people ask me to pose doing a 'Dark Bomb' which is basicly when Dark Jak jumps into the air and comes down, punching the ground and sending out a shockwave of Dark eco, which knocks back any foe and purges his system completely, reverting him back to his normal, blond-with-green-roots self. It was pretty cool.

I caught up again with my friends at the far end of one hallway, as they were exiting what ended up being the dealer room. I felt so uncool cuz I hadn't realized there was another area to go (i had been wondering if the halls and artist alley was all there was in a kinda "that's all?" sense. We stopped for food, and I ended up looking around the dealers room the rest of the day. There was one young lady that I adored talking to because she was so funny and energetic, that had been attempting to dress in the 'Fruits' style (which basicly looks like the closets of candy raver and a five year old simultaneously regurgitated the most colorful and random shit ever on a person) without really knowing what that was, only that it looked as such. It was very cool, and definitely recognizable as such.

I ended up forgetting my little packet of prints in the bathroom for almost two hours until I remembered about it, but luckily it was still there (tucked away under the makeup counter while I was applying face paint) when I returned. I ended up asking Vanna to keep it in her bag since the one that was part of my costume was too small to fit the papers in. Thankfully she agreed.

So after I headed home I, of course, took a shower; did my hair, nails, and face; and got dressed and ready. Then I realized it was only like freakin 5 in the afternoon. So I took off the dress and just chilled in my PJ's and rocked out to Guitar Hero for an hour or so, and then made soup.

About eight o clock I got dressed up again, switched out the usual 16g spiked studs I wear in my ears for sapphire and diamond 18g's that my mother was willing to loan me (they matched my dress), and traded the spiked collar for a matching sapphire/diamond necklace on a little silver chain.

My mother gave me a ride to the ACAC gym and when I got in (with a small bundle of civvies and my boots) I asked to go to the locker room so I could put them where they'd be safe. But no, I couldn't take them past the desk, and the teachers didn't want to be responsible if something went missing when I put them with the teacher's stuff (as if I'd do that...sheesh) so I had to hide them behind a chair for the time I was there. Saw some friends, got totally zapped by the light show on the dance floor and zoned for most of the time I wasn't talking to somebody. I took pictures (which will eventually make their way onto dA) with Haley, Katie, and Enya, my very good friends. After I left the building at nine to meet a friend, I was looking around for him only to hear him calling from a very shady corner between some bushes. Because that wasn't sketch at all... xD it was hilarious.

Josh and I went downtown to kill time until Pirates Of The Caribbean 3, and to see my boys. Most of them were there, and they were actually floored by my dress. Everyone thought it was fabulous, which made it SO worth it to have to wear a damned skirt. Unfortunately, my bro Eric wasn't there, and he was the guy I most wanted to see me in it. That kinda upset me that he said he would and wasn't. but I got over it xD

After the move (sorry guys, but if you want spoilers, you'll have to look elsewhere. I'm just gonna say it was TOTALLY worth ticket money, even if I did see about half of it the afternoon before I went xD I'm such a cheater) Josh and I just hung out in the parking lot for like, an hour talking and joking. It was so awesome. I'm usually awkward in long conversations because I run out of things to say, but this was like 'shit, how much longer can we just sit here and talk?'

After we left the parking lot in front of the theatre, we headed to the Krogers and wandered about joking and stuff. Then some more random joking and stuff xD. I did the absolute WORST rendition of Pickles The Drummer asking about lobster cooking methods EVER, and bought a bag of Starburst Jelly beans.

When I finally got back to the house, it was like 3:30. Now, imagine someone so tired they can't stand up straight, in huge heavy steel toe boots, trying to sneak into a house with a squeaky door, and hardwood floors.... Not to mention I'm about as graceful as a water buffalo... but nonetheless, I managed to NOT wake anyone up and get to sleep. I'd have updated this soon if I'd not been passing out on the keyboard as I typed, so forgive the late tellall.

Spent the afternoon there and learned a thing or two about it. The next few days I found a site that's also really freaking helpful.

Yesterday, I had some major internet problems, and thought that I was gonna hafta take the laptop out back, Old Yeller style or something, but my dad fixed up the errors when he came home for lunch.

Also, for most of this week, I've been helping a good friend of mine who lives down the street from me with a website he's created on freewebs. It's for a game we play on occasion, and very cool. He's a notoriously horrid speller, and not much better at typing, so I'm just sort of there to come after and clean up his spelling errors, and perhaps add in some color or effects to the text to make it look real pretty

AAAAND, a friend of mine, was kind enough to create a little icon for DA of my Kudda D Isidal, and it's just lovely. One friend has told me that it's not showing up as changed, so if y'all can lemme know if my icon is different, or if it's still the old Shigure face I'd be real grateful.

Also not to be on the phone, or even talk to Aaron until Wednesday. So this leaves me a lot of free time to fiddle with my new bass before I go to lessons with Beast.

To back up for anyone that wasn't in town for my birthday, I turned eighteen on Sunday the 25th. Had a bit of a bash at the local Ice-skating place, and had spend the night at my house. The next morning my mother gave me a card that explained how she remembered how long I'd wanted to play bass, and since I was saving up all my cash for a used one at a pawn shop, she'd take me out to get one.

Turns out Beast, my real-life guitar hero friend is still willing to teach me to play (He'd once offered to teach me on his cousins, but that didn't work out) so as soon as I'm off grounding, I'm also off to his house once or twice a week to learn to play under his hilarious guidance.

But anyway, I've finally tuned it, and also figured out how to play little things like Mary Had A Little Lamb. Yes, it's about as ridiculous as it sounds, and I'm just as ridiculously excited about these little tunes

The last song was Beast and the Harlot, which I haven't even played on Hard, much less Expert. Knew I didn't have a chance. I have been hanging out with a good friend of mine, . We went to the mall and -I mostly- went Christmas shopping. Found a hilarious gift for my dad (nonspecific because he may or may not be reading this) and mostly had horrible conversations that had us both laughing at how awful they were... Lots and lots of fun. We had cheese sticks at the red robin in repayment for coffee and ice cream the day before, no doubt embarrassing ourselves beside the cute guys in the next few booths with our outlandish -and loud- conversations. But ya, lots of fun. And Cheeko-darling. If you dont come with the next time Lindz and I get together, I will come find you and poke you with Chinese firecracker-things untill I DO annoy the scream out of you!!! or something equally annoying.

Also, without a truthful label to tell a consumer what is included in the nice jacket they're about to buy, one can never be sure whether or not that fluff on the cuff is fake or real. There are so many ways the industries goes about to make the rabbit, wolf, bear or even dog and cat (imported from China where it's legal) look like faux fur. Cutting it short, dying, and weaving are all tricks used to make a peice of pelt look like fake fuzz. "For an industry that claims to be proud of its product, the animal fur industry spends a great deal of time making its fur look synthetic."
