The movies I recently seen were the proposal c/o Reggie (His B-day blow out to us) and GI Joe the rise of the cobra.
To be blunt: The movies were great!!!
Mainly because we were the loudest in the theater! Which could only mean one thing-yep, Rein was there with us! (^_^) not to mention James, as usual, getting bullied even in theaters... wow...
The proposal wasn't so bad. I thought it would suck since it's a sandra bullock film (sorry, never liked her)... well I gave it a 50/50 chance since ryan reynolds was there (liked his just friends movie obviously and his role as deadpool). We were laughing like there was no tomorrow mainly because of the "baby maker" blanket and entertain from rein and james here and there made the movie experience totally fun! Well, for me, coz if i were james... I wouldn't... it would be 90% only. (^_^)
The GI Joe movie was impressively good. And rein was in the movie too! He's ripcord! Coz... well, they looked alike, so much. Action-packed and hottie babes made Mudsi applause the movie.
On the side track: I caught (without cheating) a shiny electabuzz, starly and camerupt in my platinum. I hope to catch a shiny kirlia or a ponyta for my friend. well, that's that for now. Ciao.

I'm sick and tired seeing my last journal entry so here I am making a new one. The "T" movies of 2009 so far that I've seen were Terminator Salvation and Transformers revenge of the fallen--- I didn't get why they named this film the revenge of the fallen when all the while the fallen got his butt kicked and died in the process... if anyone could tell me, please do. Well, so far movies are the ones sucking my money and of course the ever lovable sunk costs---FOOD. I am yet to save money to buy cards stuff...
The latest terminator film was actually good though I find Marcus' character to be dull... maybe I am just used to see Arnold as the unbreakable robot guy and no one else or the fact that I missed the opening part of the movie just a tiny bit... the film was still worth my money. Good performance of batman there as usual. Christian bale was a good pick as the legendary John Connor. I liked how he delivered his lines... full of impact. But what I loved in the film the most was that Arnold was THERE!!! In 3D!!! For me, a terminator movie isn't one if Arnold's not there! (He scared the hell out of me actually... it was like reliving the horror metal monster of the first terminator movie all over again, love it!!!)
Now Transformers revenge of the fallen... It was great! the action scenes lacking in the 1st movie was sufficed here! Although, I've noticed they sacrificed the quality of CGI in some scenes (you could tell they're just 3D coz they're too sharp and everyone else was dull). But Over all it was really great. BABOY si Optimus!!! Optimus bullied the decepticons like they're just scraps! I just love the metal scraping of their faces! Though technically speaking, the film had numerous unnecessary scenes or angles... but I learned to love it anyway. The best ever scene there was Wheelie humping Megan's leg... reminded me of my perverted dog Malfoy... (^_^) But if there's one thing to ask, what's the relevance of the films title? I didn't get this. I remembered the last star wars movie. At least the title there made real sense... what's up with the transformers? What part did the fallen get his revenge? Anyone?

Last Sunday was a hot but definitely fun day for us, the YFF (Yu-gi-oh! Friends Forever) people of Davao City. But like any day, it has to start with something and in this case, it started with Century Egg. Just ask James “the monkey” if he ate some… (^_^)
We had our first ever beach bash tourney (almost every one of us were dueling wearing shorts, ugh!) courtesy of our good friend, Robert. The white sandy beach in Samal was the battlefield for two opposing teams of five duelists. I was with the “Winning Team” (Teams were assembled through paper, scissors and stone and the team I belonged to were all winners of it). Our team was composed of Mikey, me, rain, benj and mokuba. The other team (the guys who lost in the paper scissors stone) was Jay-Jay, Momo, Reggie, Shoti and my good friend James “the monkey”.
The sun was burning high up in the clear blue sky and the tension was going along with it. The dueling mats were placed and our decks were shuffled and lined up (our deck sleeves were colorfully themed power rangers! I had Red, Mikey had Green, Mokuba’s White, Rain had Kuraz on it and Benj’s simply didn’t have any… he’s the naked ranger (^_^))
The rules of the Beach Bash Tourney:
•	Five players per team
•	A player only has one monster zone and one spell and trap zone but standard official tag rules applied.
•	Players start with only One card!
•	Effect Damage is negated or effect damage cards are forbidden.
•	Advance Format Sept. 1 rules applied but mirror force, torrential tribute, Jinzo, Giant Trunade were forbidden.

Round One:
The first round of the match was quite intense. Both teams exchange firepowers with strong monsters and with both teams having only 4000 LP, it was really a sweat-dropping moment for both opposing teams.
We (the winning team of paper scissors stone) had a good start. We managed to summon our Goddess of victory, Athena and she made some serious damage but sadly, she went to the graveyard after a few turns (She was up against five strong duelist!). But luckily, we made it through the hard moments and managed to reduce the other team’s LP to a mere 700 while keeping our LP high around 3K.
And then it was my turn (the opposing team was having a bad hand, no new set cards or monsters whatsoever). I flipped my Mysterious Guard to return their only monster on the field to the owner’s deck. With no hesitation (even though they had a few face down cards) I declared an attack with my Mysterious Guard and luckily neither traps nor spells were activated (bluff cards!!! I hate them!!) and I took round one in the bag for my team (lucky me and my mysterious guard!).

Round Two: Teams had 8000LP
WE LOST! Bluntly speaking. (^_^)
We have no excuse… the other team took us out with their shear high attack monsters… I forgot who.

Lunch Break:
All of us defeated the lechon manok, bread, coke… bananas, except me… Ugh!..... Momo tried to offer me some but I wholeheartedly refused. (^_^)

Round Three:
It was time that nearly took our team. One of our strongest member had a bus catch and time was running short! We had to win or lose in time! (Mikey couldn’t forgive us if he got late in the bus terminal and miss his ride home to Gen San!) I had a good start. My hand was full of monsters and spells and then my friend Jay-Jay activated disturbance strategy and from there on, I had a hand full of defensive monster cards (kinda bad for the moment).
Our team had some strong monsters later on. Athena made it to the field once again thanks to Mikey and his Valhalla. Sadly, she made an early exit but was later revived through Mokuba’s monster reborn. Rain made some serious damage! With his lightsworn deck at hand, he demolished most of our competitors to dusts. Benj was also a key factor here. He returned most of the tribute monsters of the other team back to their hands (Rock Deck… rocks!!!), giving rain a clear field. And then Venominaga (forgive me if its spelled incorrectly, I dunno the correct one) was summoned by Mokuba and reduced the other team’s 16000 LP down around 9000 or lower (this round our 8000LP last round was doubled for the finale). After a few rounds while my feet were itching on the sandy white sand, Rain made a great defensive strategy to close down Shoti’s fearful Gear Golem Deck with some monster card that I dunno (It’s a monster when in the graveyard, you can remove it from play to make battle damage zero or something, I think) and we had three of it in the graveyard already! Later we used one to save our ass and reserved the other two solely for Shoti’s high attack fusion golem (with limter of course!).
And then… WE WON!
But before our sweet victory, I managed to summon my signature card, Dark Magician Girl only to be destroyed by her mortal enemy number one: “monkey”. He used some trap card to destroy my beautiful Da...

Bad luck... it's already 2008, what's more frightening than getting old?
And then the hairs on my nape began to rose. My korean friend was right. superstitions... ridiculous at thought but as a Filipino, I believe in these things. And sure enough the bad luck came to me the day after that night. Anyway the retreat was absolutely great! overall... the eerie part there was that i saw a ghost, which is a common thing, they say. the ghost appeared to me around two or three in the morning. it was an old hunch-back lady gliding in front of me. at first i asked myself if this was really a ghost or whether i was just dreaming. it took me a while before i reconsidered the possibility that she was a ghost. playing safe, i did the sign of the cross with great difficulty; i couldnt move my body, not even my fingers but with all my might i managed to do the sign of the cross and i fell asleep once more. I then woke up exactly four in the morning and felt that something was terribly wrong. i turn the lights on and looked around. after awhile i went back to sleep again and at breakfast, the whole class was talking about the ghost they saw (the girls saw another ghost this time it was a girl carrying a pillow) A pillow? I laughed at the idea. i mean, how many ghost do that? but i believed them. i only wished that it was that ghost who visited me not the old lady.

Although 2007 is just starting its gear, I realized that what a great movie fan's year this year is! It started the year with Spidey 3 (Made me cry...sniff) then with Pirates 3 (My friends and I were SATISFIED... A LOT!!!) and now Transformers (I transformed after watching it... figuratively speaking), Die Hard 4.0 (I really liked it! Yipeekayey never got old! This is the 1st film I saw Bruce beat up a chick! Nice one! Poor Maggie Q... sigh but heck its a great film!), Harry Potter 5 (Disappointing... I should've never read the book, it made the film bad or is it the other way around, I dunno). Trailers are amust for me! It is the best next thing to the featured presentation! Movie trailers that made me impatient were I AM LEGEND (this I got to see!), Evan Almighty (I hope its as entertaining and moral awakening as Bruce Almighty!), The Simpsons (I never get tired of Homer), Bourne Ultimatum (I never read the book but at least I could watch the film!), Ratatatouille (I hope I got the spelling right! My sis and I would definitely watch this together!) and so many more! So as early as now, I concluded 2007 as a movie fan's year. The only problem now is my pocket... its as light as thin air, I hope I could gather more resources and FAST!
