So in just over two weeks, I shall be moving out for the first time into halls for my degree course, which is a pretty daunting prospect given how completely lacking in independence I am. Thankfully being in halls will mean I won't be completely fending for myself, but its nerve-wracking nonetheless. My bedroom is currently piled high with boxes of things i've packed, and its really sinking in now that this is actually happening. Fingers crossed it all works out!

Things have been super busy again, and things such as my desktop computer finally kicking the bucket have meant i'm pretty behind on a lot. So I actually kind of enjoyed it, weirdly enough. I was pretty much expecting to come back with this 'Eugh I have a headache and sunburn and I'm annoyed and it wasn't that amazing and i'm tiiiiired' attitude but I really really enjoyed it. Quite possibly the most heart-wrenchingly beautiful piece i've seen on this site in a long, long time. Anyone who appreciates good photography...take a look now.

The lack of my usual INSANEMASSUPLOADS is due to me being ill; I haven't had time to edit a lot of my expo photos yet because I feel ill, blaaarg. Everything tastes horrible ;_;

In other news...Happy Halloween! 8D for a few days ago anyway, haha. I've been seeing some really funky Halloween pictures about which is always nice ^_^

I'm also insanely addicted to FFX again. I bought Tidus' necklace at expo, and Otherworld came on on shuffle, and I remembered just how much I loved it :heart: Tidus ftw! I wishwishwish I had the skill to cosplay him, although the woman-ness would prove a problem anyway ^^;

Despite the kerfuffle with my phone breaking the night before expo (D:) pretty much everything went to plan; I had a really nice time seeing people I hadn't seen in a while/meeting people for the first time/taking some funky photos. As per usual, it'll take me 9000 years to finish editing them, but I'l be a lot quicker now as I want to do my AS photography project on cosplayers so it will be school-work related which is good!

The fact that Nomi :devnozmcgoo: shouted 'RAN RAN RUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!' across the outside area of Excel at me is pure legend xD

EXPO: ANYONE GOING TO THE SVETLANA CHMAKOVA (AUTHOR OF DRAMACON) SINGING ON SATURDAY/SUNDAY?
If any of you are, could you please please pleeease let me know, and would I be able to get you to grab me a book (i'd pay you of course) and get it signed for me? As much as I'd love to meet her, it's between 3-4pm on Sat and 2-3pm on Sun, but i'm doing 4 shoots so I can't really re-arrange 2 shoots on one of the days >_< And I doubt i'll even buy tickets to go inside on the Sunday. Okay, so I realise my last 3 journals have been camera related, SHUTUPPLZ D:

Anywho, I'd like a new camera as a joint Christmas/exam present :D I'm on the hunt for a camera preferrably more recent and better than my current one. Atm I have a Fujifilm Finepix S9500 SLR digital camera, it has 9.0 megapixels and 10.7x optical zoom (?...its what it says on the side XD)

I lack general camera knowledge, so if anyone knows any nice cameras about at the moment that are better than that and no more than £500, drop me a line, it'd be appreciated!

For those who read about my manual SLR camera in the previous journal...me and :devloveforgotten: had a look at it today, and the back doesn't seem to want to close, which MIGHT explain it's epic failing to work. Regardless, i'll get it checked out in my next lesson and see where things go from there.

Okay, so i've got my manual SLR film camera in front of me (for those who care, it's a Praktica) and y'know when you have to load the film, you attach it to the little spool thingies, blablabla...and then you have to wind it on and press the button to take a photo a few times, so the film is properly wound in or whatever right?

I need to load some film, BUT it won't seem to wind on and let me take a photo. I'm sure it did this once before and the school photography technician sorted it out fairly easily, but i'd really like to get it sorted before school tomorrow so I can take a few shots today.

Anyone know how I can sort it?
