Moments:

Ouran Host Club tea

Over all very refined, people remained calm, they had a few good laughs, the twins constantly pranked the Boss, all was well! The line was out the door and we were sad we couldn't fit everyone in!

The Zodiac Tea party

Honestly, all I have to say is - ALL the Sohmas in ONE ROOM = JERRY SPRINGER

Some highlights:
Akito being Akito - making other people do stuff for him *cough* Kyo *cough*

Yuki and Kyo getting into a fist fight while the entire room chants "Kyo! Kyo!" and "Fight! Fight!", Kyo attempts to deck Yuki, Yuki dodges and manages to send Kyo spinning ONTO a table and back onto the floor. Kyo then gets up to go again and gets punched to the ground... AGAIN - ouch ego pride drops a few notches

Kyo tripping Ritsu who was attempting to bring a plate of food to people

Kyo taking Kagura's love note and ripping it to shreds, throwing it in her face, and walking off

Haru telling Kagura Kyo wants to marry her and then Kagura proceeds to come after Kyo

This leads to Kyo grabbing Kagura and storming out the door to have a "talk". Momiji follows, sees "unspeakable things" and walks back in O.O, Kyo stalks in a few moments later and goes to the back room, slamming the door, Kagura comes in a few moments later all *blush* *blush* *happy face*

All in all, this tea party was INSANE!!! People actually left tips tho, so we figured they enjoyed the show XD XD This is not even close to all the insanity that went on during the tea party, but it was a few highlights.

I have so many awesome memories from this con, especially the new people I met! I miss all of you and I need to get down to another Oklahoma or Texas con! That's the one area of the country I've never been to for cons.

EPIC!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday especially, it was so much fun. Friday we had Batgirl, Spoiler, Robin, Wonder Girl, Superboy, and Joker. It was awesome.

Saturday we did Fantastic Four (Johnny and Sue) in the morning and then we changed into Silent Hill, which we competed in the masquerade and danced to Thriller XD XD I"ll have a link up later to the video!

AND the best part....

we won Best of Class!!!! and Best Creep Factor XD XD

We had two nurses, James, and Pyramid Head.

I'm going for a little bit Friday, not very long, we're doing Ouran, which will be fun. We have the entire Host Club save for Tamaki, so I think we did pretty good

Saturday I'll be there all day. Bishie auction in the morning, I'll be Howl (Howl's Moving Castle)!! XD XD I <3 Howl, I really do, and cosplaying him again makes me want to go watch the movie again lol! Now I just need to find Calcifer...

Then I'll be in the Masquerade, super secret cosplay time, so shhh to those of you who actually know who it is, it needs to remain a secret. I'm not really going for craftsmanship or any type of award, I just want to go on stage b/c it's fun and then I've got voice acting auditions and the concert, and then sleep!

Sunday is the official 'work on cosplay and all the crap I have to get done before Tuesday' day LOL

Friday was pretty laid back, we got there in the evening and I managed to squeeze in a few costumes, of course, lol, met some really cool people, and then practiced for our skit on Sat. Sat was a busy day, I spent way too much in the dealers room lol, I couldn't resist! Met some more amazing people I'll miss so much, saw fantastic cosplays and had a blast. Cosplay Contest FTW!

And I debuted one of my secret cosplays but that's staying a secret! So SHHHH to everyone who's seen it

Sunday ended up being mostly a Fruits Basket day, see above vids, and I miss them so much! It was HILARIOUS and I can't wait till next year! I HAVE to get to A-Kon or something between now and then, I miss everyone too much. This con was fantastic and I'm so glad I went!!

because yeah, definitely DIDN"T get the part I wanted so much but whatever, it's not like I can ever expect to have a lead in a show. After 5 years of being out of theater, it just doesn't happen. Obviously.

So I'm done. Done with theater. There's absolutely no point when stuff is fixed.

I guess the big reason why I'm so sad is because the next show was the one that meant everything to me, the part that I wanted more than anything, and after what happened with this show, I KNOW I'm not going to get that part.

but anyways, at least I have a ton of cons to look forward to and I can now go to ACEN which I'm way happier about.

I survived the mid-term and my presentation tonight, but it wasn't that amazing.
BUT to top it all off, and this week isn't even over yet, I just realized that if I don't take my car to the dealership tomorrow morning, I'm going to have serious issues. I'm almost a hundred percent positive that my brake pads are shot, and it's been doing this grinding sound a lot lately and I'm worried that it might have done some more damage to the rest of my car, and it's also making this squealing sound when I drive it, I have NO clue what the heck that could be, but again, it's going to the dealership tomorrow morning.

So that could cost WHO KNOWS how much...and I don't have anything, no extra money right now. I get paid this weekend and it goes totally to rent and a loan I have, so nothing extra.

So therefore, I'm not going to be going to a con until MTAC. I just can't afford it now and sorry but my car is way more important to me than a convention, even though I will miss the people. I probably will still be able to go to ASTL since it's right here in St. Louis.

Unless by some magic grace of something I manage to get a little more money, the cons are on hold. I am not going to count them off completely until I see how the next week or so plays out. Thankfully I already have all my materials and all my stuff for the cosplays I'm working on currently, so that's taken care of.

I also have two big papers due next week, and I'm going to be in Vegas for most of it, so..looks like paper writing is happening in Vegas x.x (lol I really doubt that's going to happen)

and we find out musical results tomorrow. I am almost 100% sure I didn't get the part I wanted so much and it would just fit with my string of bad luck. Of course.

....I just want things to get better....

I have a mid-term tonight which I haven't had a chance to study for yet because work has been insane. I mean, really insane, get there crack of dawn early and get out late, no lunch right now because of everything we're dealing with and today was just another wonderful day x.x

I also have a huge project due tomorrow which I haven't even started yet because again, no time. Also work's going to be oh so much fun tomorrow when we have a ton of stuff we have to do and I'm going to be trying to get some of my project done as well. I also have a paper due.

We also have a physical fitness test next week which I really don't look forward to because I haven't had a chance to run for months due to my previous job and this one.

BUT on a higher note!

I'm working on getting my plane ticket
It's looking like MTAC is going to be my b-day con because Kawaii Kon most likely won't happen. I'll probably just go to Hawaii in May instead (cheaper and I can spend more time there)

I just realized how big a list I have to complete in the next 2 weeks x.x

2 secret cosplays
3 Starlight uniforms
and a Harley Quinn commission (1st priority)

all in 2 weeks because I have about 6 cons in a row after that and I won't have time to finish them in between.

Class is insane. I have a mid-term tomorrow I haven't had a chance to study for, I have another project due that I haven't even started (which I need to turn in early tomorrow morning) and we still have the last weekend of our show... oh well, at least I can enjoy having a solo while it lasts It'll probably be the last decent-sized part I get for awhile.

Guys and Dolls (the one I auditioned for tonight and totally messed up) and Cinderella might be my last shows.

My deployment cycle comes up in January. That doesn't mean I'm going, but there's the opportunity to go. I'm hoping not, I'm still in my Masters and I want to get it completed before I move away from Scott. We'll see!

So yeah... at least Heath Ledger won the Oscar That brought a smile to my face (no pun intended lol), and it was about the only good thing that happened in the past few days (save for my mike actually WORKING well Sunday)

I will fully admit that it was because of his incredible acting skills that I finally looked into Batman more. Sure, I had grown up watching the Animated Series, but I hadn't REALLY been into comics or Batman until Dark Knight. Heath Ledger blew me away as the Joker, he won me over, as he did so many other people, and it was because of him that I love comics and I've gone back and watched B:TAS all over again, and been able to become part of the DC fandom. I would not have been surprised if there had been riots if he had not won.

Thank you Heath. For all your incredible acting and everything you've given us. No one could have deserved it more for your portrayal of our beloved Joker and Mistah J. I think many people will agree with me that you were beyond amazing.

I really enjoyed it, and maybe it's because I've read all four books so I understand what's going on etc, and I caught all the little jokes and slip-ins lolz, but I really liked it. Now, there's not to say I don't have cons about it. So....here's the list for me, feel free to share your thoughts!

PROS:

Carlisle = GODLY (about had a heart attack when he walked into the hospital room lol!!)
Emmett = Hilarious! I loved him!
Rosalie = spot on, really, she pulled off the cold nature really well
Esme = She's so sweet
Alice = PERFECT!!
Edward = wow hehe....his eyes definitely made me just want to stare into them all day, I loved how they did that.
Jasper = I just wanted to give him a hug!!! He so looked like Johnny Depp...lol
James = I <3 him XD
Victoria = I think she got the personality down!
Laurent = Loved him too! I loved the reddish eyes
Baseball scene = BEST SCENE out of the entire movie! It was exactly how I pictured it!
Kids at school = I think they nailed the characters
The music = loved it!
The Prom scene = it was really sweet! and very beautiful
Jacob = Mutt. lolz, no I think he did a very good job
Lines like "I leave you alone for one second and the wolves jump in" - LOL!!!! There were plenty of ppl who were snickering about that because well...those of you who've read the books know!!
Charlie = LOL!!!!! I LOVED him! He was so perfect! and his comments hahah
Fight scene: I really liked it, wish it was longer lol


CONS:

Director - please please PLEASE get a better director for the next movie x.x THe only reason I enjoyed the movie were for the above things, that's it. The rest of it did not FLOW well, it jumped erratically, I think it confused the heck out of people who've never read the books, it didn't show the love story between Edward and Bella and why we all fell in love with it in the first place, it just skimmed the surface and didn't go deep at all, just made Edward look like some CREEPER which he wasn't in the books!! It also cut scenes short that shouldn't have been shortened, it lengthened ones that we could really care less about, and it cut a TON of stuff from the book (and while I understand when movies are made they have to do it, but when you start CHANGING things, and you start leaving out things that are really important to the entire plot, then....yeah! No not cool) I really hope New Moon they get a better director, who knows how to actually take shots and scenes and blend them together, and give the Twilight fans what they want and what they deserve.

Whew....mini rant done lol

Billy: Lame jokes....sorry lol, he just didn't fit the Billy from the books for me.

Most of my cons were in the big rant lol but on a brighter note, I SAW STEPHANIE MEYER! She was in the one diner scene sitting at the counter

However, this staff.... they were amazing, they bent over backwards for people, ESPECIALLY the Masquerade staff - just wow. Mike, the sound guy, I am in your debt forever for taking time out to do a voice over for me on my skit track (since I don't have the ability to do that)

So yes I still have one more day at the con, but unless something spectacular happens lol, this is my mini con report

I have NEVER been in one costume very long, as you all know However....I was in Harley Quinn ALL WEEKEND> It was weird!! haha. I mean, I had different versions of her. I.e. Friday, I started off as classic Harley Quinn, then did my Dark Knight Harley (ppl actually knew who I was woot!!), then I went back to classic.

Then Saturday I did Dr. Quinzel (ppl knew who I was wee!! They got so excited when they realized I was Harleen Quinzel XD XD XD), and then I did classic Harley, but I did my hair up in pigtails and didn't do the makeup, to just do somethinc casual, but I still wanted to do Harley for a bit and more people took my photo then when I was in complete classic!! It was awesome!!

and the BEST PART EVER - I went as Elizabeth Swann for the Masquerade, FINALLY... it's been over a year since I made that costume (well..actually I think it's about exactly a year). Anyways, I've been dying to compete it because those of you who have seen all the progress pics up on my cosplay.com account know how many hours upon hours I put into her outfit.

ANd I WON!!!!!! I got Best of Class Workmanship and Best Movie Recreation XD XD That made my night!

Then I changed back into Dr. Quinzel and got some epic pictures with a fantastic Joker (woot therapy!! LOL) and a really great Harley Quinn - yay doubles XD XD

sparkly vampires anyone? lol!!

For Youmacon there's a decent size group, and as of now I am the only Rosalie Hale I'm hoping to get my friend to do Emmett...here's hoping! That'd be so cute!

Anyways, the thing I need help with is for all of you wonderfully artistic people to put your heads together, and possibly give me some ideas on what I could wear for Rosalie? and what Emmett could wear.

I'm thinking...black heels, maybe dress pants? black corset/top... what are your thoughts?

and I'm not sure on Emmett besides a hooded sweatshirt lol

We do plan on making our skin very pale, and perhaps sparkly

Wings of Gotham basically takes place after the Joker is initially sent to Arkham, for what people expect is to be permanent.

New villians are arising on the streets of Gotham in the Joker's absence, but all of us know that the Joker will NOT remain behind bars, and when he escapes, Batman will certainly have his hands full.

I miss everyone so much...but c'mon, no sad things right? Let's talk about the AWESOME!!!!!!! stuff!!

So, day by day, here's a little journal entry from me to you (and I think I'm due....I forget the last time I actually posted LOL)

Thursday

Got there in the early evening, bought my badge, awesome b/c they actually let us buy badges Thurs so we didn't have to wait in line, and ran around randomly in Near XD It was fun! and relaxing, so that was nice

Friday

And here's where all the fun begins XD XD XD As you can see *points to the avatar*, I've found my current favourite cosplay to do: Harley Quinn from the Batman Animated Series - woot for Classic Harley! Next project is a Dark Knight version.

So Friday morning I change into Harley. I really didn't know how it would go over during AWA, since it IS an anime con, and usually cosplays that aren't anime are frowned upon, or at least not photographed that much (unless you wear like... nothing, and that's self-explanatory lol) So anyways, I go to the con as Harley and OMG - the reception!!! It was fantastic! I honestly didn't realize so many people would know who I was and want a photo. It was great

I ran into a few Jokers, so that was cool, and then I had to change into Air Gear and I did Kaito. Couldn't find my usual wig, so used a subsitute..but I think I like the substitute better. Got some goofy photos I <3 my cage, I got lots of epic cage photos XD I think we managed to cage everyone at the Air Gear shoot LOL - those who could fit of course. I also loved the fact that my boots made me nearly 6', so I towered over everyone.

Then changed into Godot from Pheonix Wright - EPIC win!! I found a Dahlia right off that bat! lolz...she tried to poison me again

Then I got back into Harley, and ran into a very good Dark Knight Joker, so that was a blast. Dark Knight version coming soon! I also ran into my friend Kayli, who was doing Supergirl, so that was plenty of goofy fun XD XD

Later that night I got into Near, since there was going to be a midnight Death Note shoot. It was a blast, and I had a ton of fun There was a Ryuk and he was amazing!!! And seriously, he had to be almost 7' tall o.O Even when he CROUCHED he was so much taller than any of us.
