Uploaded some actual artwork, go me. Since I don't know if many of my watchers have it set up to be alerted whenever I post scraps, I figured I'd make an entry about it. Then again, I don't know how many are set up to be alerted to my journal entries either, but whatever
I also FINALLY finished and uploaded chapter 57 of Silent Hill 4: Introspection, for those who are following it (then again, if you are, you probably already know anyway ).
Pretty productive night considering that I've barely gotten over a 2-week-long flu. Note to self: Next time the b/f drags you to a hockey game, BRING A FRIGGING SWEATER! >.<
I'd also still like a link to any Furry gallery-type sites (see last entry for more info) if anyone knows of any.

I just went to Fur Affinity (someone had linked to thier own gallery on another site and I decided to check it out) and it hit me that it might be a good idea to make an account so I can post Cyborcats stuff there. So I read through the TOS, decided it might be a nice place to do that, and clicked on the "Sign up" link only to find that it'd been disabled. Not too keen on the fact that I wasted time like that--you'd think they'd make it really clear right away that signing up had been disabled, but whatever.

I remember hearing about yerf.com, but apparently it's dead now.

Any ideas? I guess I don't care whether or not they allow furry porn, as long as they're not infamous for it or anything.

So all my Invader ZIM gifs, along with the one of Fry from Futurama, and the one of Knuckles punching Luigi, and also the collage image I made as a "cover image" for my Silent Hill 4 fic are gone.

If anyone misses them (the ZIM ones were fairly popular), just know that I wasn't the one who deleted them--deviantART took it upon themselves to delete them from my gallery under "copywrite infringement".

Sorry, but isn't it a bit silly to kick up a fuss about little 100x100-pixel animated gifs? They're made to be used as avatars--I'm not selling them (couldn't even if I wanted to), and I never claimed to own the characters. I'm not gonna go off on a big rant about it, and I'm not looking for sympathy. I just think it's ... silly.

I go a few weeks without adding to my Silent Hill 4 novelization, and two people have already taken it off their favorites list, despite the fact that I explained in my profile that I lost my copy of Silent Hill 4 (ie: I had no reference material for awhile) AND that I just moved, but I was still working on the story as much as I could.
I could understand people taking me off of their watch lists here because I haven't posted anything on DA for awhile (since I've been writing instead of drawing). Also, for some reason, I was in the mood to do some kind of digital artwork today, so I pulled out the Silent Hill poster that I linked to an image of in the last entry. It's coming along--there are now backgrounds behind Harry and Henry. Next up will be Heather and James, then I'll add some text in the form of song lyrics from the Silent Hill theme song, and then it should be done (@_@). I may or may not add the words "Silent Hill" in a Silent Hill-ish font, depending on whether or not it'd make it too cluttered. I ended up not playing the game past the beginning--instead, I opted to read a plot analysis on GameFAQs, so I could mentally compare the game's and movie's plots that way. Unfortunately, it makes me appreciate the movie less because it's a bit shallow and cliche' compared to the game's. Oh well.

Unfortunately, I didn't quite finish my Silent Hill poster before getting burned out on Silent Hill in general, but I did make some progress, which can be seen here.

I think it's a combination of being burned out on what I was doing (ie: storyboards) and my obsession switching gears.

I saw Silent Hill over the weekend. While I didn't much care for the second half in general, the first half (and the closing credits sequence) put me in fangirl heaven. So, next thing I know, I'm skipping over to the website of a Silent Hill fanfic writer I like and reading his latest story (The Canvas).

My fangirlism STILL isn't satisfied, so I think I'm gonna go back and play the first game ... again! I re-played it after beating Silent Hill 4, which I got when it first came out, so it hasn't been that long XD Anyway, I wanna compare and contrast it to the movie. I've been doing that mentally ever since seeing the movie, but my memory of all the details of the game's story are a little fuzzy (already ).

The good news is that I think I'm gonna try to finish my Silent Hill poster that I started awhile back (see the portrait I did of Harry Mason for the details).

Hopefully after that, I'll get back on track with Cyborcats. I guess I deserved a break, anyway

Minerva is almost done being colored. Camma and Sutra have been inked, but they need to be scanned, cleaned up, then colored before I'll post 'em.

Thing is, as well as these turn-arounds have been going, I'm starting to get burned out, so I may have to switch to something else soon. But hopefully I can at least get those three done before taking a break on the turn-arounds.

The next phase? Well, I've been reading an awesome book by Don Bluth lately on storyboarding, and it's inspired me, so I wanna try my hand at that. I also think that the opening sequence of the Cyborcats pilot will be easy to storyboard, so I'm kinda anxious to get started on that ^.^

When I was in high school, and I first discovered these expensive pens (my art teacher had some), I thought they were the neatest thing ever. Pens made just for drawing, they came in more than 6 thicknesses, and the ink was waterproof once it was dry--how cool.

But these days, I just think they're an unneeded expense. They cost something like $10 each. Maybe if I were more diligent about cleaning them, they would have been better suited for me, but they always ran out of ink when I was halfway through a drawing, and I never wanted to interrupt the creative process to clean the things, so they would eventually get clogged beyond repair.

Now I just use Uni-ball pens. Sure they don't come in as many widths, but how many do you really need, anyway? I just use thin and thick Uni-balls, along with thin and thick Sharpies--that's 4 thicknesses.

I used to use Rapidograph ink for brushwork, because it's probably be best out there, but now I just use a brush pen.

So I'm going the cheap route now, but it hasn't failed me so far.
