I know it goes without saying that all Theatre productions are tough to a degree, but this is a super-special case of theatric masocism alltogether: WE HAVE LESS THAN FOUR WEEKS TO REHEARSE BEFORE PERFORMING AND TAKING THE PLAY ON TOUR!

If I manage to get offbook by sunday, I'll be alright- otherwise the stage manager will whip out his Deus Ex Machina and by the time he's through with me they'll be picking me up with a spatchula...

On the plus side, there's royalties and actor compensation to look forward to!
Classes have started and so far so good, aside from my Computer Class debacle this afternoon (Damn compooter wouldn't allow me to do anything...).
-I'm getting together a Burger King costume, so expect some interesting pics....

Hey there everybody! It's yours truly here with some D.A, related news: I'm finally learning how to draw stuff that doesn't suck!

Drawing class has been a bumpy ride, due mostly to the fact that I suck at it. I mean, I have no problem with photography, but I can't draw to save my life!

And I can say with some pride that this is something that is beginning to change.

Cuz' come mid-November, all the stuff I drew that doesn't suck- as well as a few scraps that do- are going up!

And on Christmas, I'll post the rest...

On a closing note, I saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning... and it's worth the matinee' price.

The only other movies I might see this month are The Prestige and Saw III.

Gah, I must go watch Princess Mononoke. Now.

School started and things are most definitely getting interesting for little old me. I've finally accepted anime into my life!

Well, some of it anyway. For all the time it's been getting popular there has only been a sad few anime series and mangas that I'd invest my full interest-and money- in : Akira, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tomie, Love Hina and Negima! .

And at college most of the people I hang out with play WoW, Ragnarok and Halo ( none of which I own or play), and watch the more popular anime like Naruto, Trigun, Full Metal Alchimest and Hellsing. There's only a couple of guys I know that share my love for Silent Hill and David Lynch's films.

So I finally gave in a couple weeks back and got around to watching some of the animes that my friend Panda was nagging me to see. Here are my brief reviews:

Tenchi Muyo!- As a die-hard Love Hina fan, this one had me in stiches

Trigun- Hilarious, fun and most definitely a must buy.

Elfen Lied- Sad, shocking and bloody as hell... and most importantly, Awesome!

Hellsing- I don't give a rat's ass if the manga is better, this is now my second favorite anime, second only to Evangelion of course. I can't wait for the new series to come out in the U.S. Alucard is the definition of badass!

Naruto- I know that the japanese version of the show is supposed to be better, but even so it's like diarria : The longer I sit there watching it, the more painful and irritating it gets.

Howl's Moving Castle- I haven't seen something this trippy since "Yellow Submarine". I love this movie, but it's one helluva' headtrip. Whatever Hiyao Miyazaki is on, I want some!

And of course, there's also Outlaw Star, Metropolis and many more waiting on my netflix que.

But first, I must watch Cannibal Holocaust before dinner- tonight is meatoaf night, omigahd!!!

One of my problems is most of my friends are too busy and live a good 30-60 minutes away. It's not they're fault though. I just live in East Bumblefuck without a drivers liscense or car. Only parents with both.

Thankfully, schools starting and I've found some company.

Also, Snakes on a Plane was a really fun movie ( campy B-movie fun with mutha-fuckin' snakes man!) and I'm seeing it agian on Thursday.
Silent Hill came out on dvd and my copy's on it's way from Amazon.com

Not to mention that my muse is kicking into high gear, which means more updates coming soon!

Namely, new photos and drawings. Woohoooo!

Also, please comment on my work if you can. I'll take all the feedback I can get. It'd help. Thanks!-Dante

The rainy weather here in Conneticut has been really annoying as of late.
Every now and then there'll be a break and it'll be sunny of course, but for
every two/three days of sunshine you get a week of sporadic rain showers...and after a while it makes me feel blue.

I've been at home for most of my summer. I went job hunting for a few weeks and got nothing. And so, eventually I gave up finding a job and now I spend my time fighting boredom and the random bouts of depression.

I'm usually okay, but I think too much. And long put short I've been unhappy with the fact that I still have some " growing up " to do.

I hate that I lack definition and direction in life. And I hate the fact that I still have yet to find myself and know what I'm really about. It really sucks. I'm 19 and I'm still confused as what the answers are to some of the big questions I have.

But know that the rain is gone and the sun is out I feel better. I've been spending more time with my friends and it's helping. And I think I'm getting closer to the answers.

I've been helping Fred out with a movie script, and hopefully get around to filming it this fall, so I'll be busy with that. And I'll update my page with some new stuff this week.-Dante

My inner dork right now is practically exploding with joy! The reason:
The Silent Hill movie didn't suck!!!Woohoo!

I caught the first showing of Silent Hill in my town at 12:40 today and must
say, the movie seriously scared me shitless.

My only problems with it were that the acting and dialogue at times was cringe-inducing and that the last 10 minutes had a kind of a dream logic to it that I understood perferctly, but many others might find it to be a cop out.

Aside from this, it captured the atmosphere and look of the games perfectly
and all of the surreal imagery nearly melted my brain!! 9.5 out of 10.

Other than that, I've conteplateing if getting a Myspace is worth the hassle.
I think I'd use it mainly to contact friends easier and perhaps post the short
movies I've on there. But is it worth it ? If anyone thinks so, please let me know.

Oh, And for anyone who lives around the vicinity of Waterbury,CT, I would
encourage them to check out the Independant Short Film Festival at the
Naugatuck Valley Community College on May 13th at 7:00 p.m.
It's only $5.00 for admission and currently there's about twelve people submitting stuff to be shown.

If anyone can make it, I would appreciate it very, very much.

Tis' the night before Christmas and all through the house... it's as cold as the balls on a brass monkey outside, and the furnace is on the fritz. But despite a case of flu I'm contending with, and a freezing house I'm feeling quite chipper.

For one thing , my birthday was on the 22nd and I've been too busy watching the movies I got for my birthday to be doing much else. So far I've been able to
watch JU-ON:The Grudge 1&2, TMNT: the original cartoon series vol. 1,
Dario Argento's The Bird With The Crystal Plumage, John Carpenter's They Live
and Memento Mori.

I was pleasntly surprised to find that I was royally creeped out after watching the two Grudge movies, because after seeing the American-ized remake I seriously doubted I could enjoy the japanese originals. Personally, I found Ju-On 2 to be one of the most unnerving horror flicks I've seen to date!
And watching the orginal TMNT cartoon, I tell you, was just pure nostalgic bliss.
(Yes, I'm aware that I am in dire need of a life...)

Anymoo, after just getting done with watching all my birthday presents, I must now go spike some egg nog and attempt to decorate the tree....

So have a Merry Christmahanakwanzakuh and a Holly Jolly Festivus everyone!
