Just felt like letting you guys know about what i've been up to recently.

Over the weekend i came down with a pretty bad cold, but today i feel fine like i never had a cold . I'm getting settled back into college and i'm enjoying it more this year than last year which was dull and boring

And today i've been on deviantART for 3 years and still enjoying it

I will start uploading art as soon as i gain inspiration again

Apparently, you can now see what groups I'm a part of. But it's looking very cramped up there for users with smaller screensize. The Info up there should be optional as some people have found their own way of displaying what groups we're part of.

So i dug into the source code and found a way to hide it, if you really need that is.

All you have to do, Is click the following link and install... Good to Go!

Why can't you people be glad when we get new features. I mean the share links that everyone seems to be complaining about is stupid... Anyone can share your art even without the buttons, they just have to copy the URL of the deviation page. And for those who say it encourages art theft... If you're really worried about it. WATERMARK IT

The team at deviantART want to make it easier for you to share your Art with family and friends who may not have a deviantART account or may not visit the site...

And dA - I know you care about your members, but if you give in.. those who kick up a fuss will expect you to change everything just because they like to be awkward. I personally think the implementation of the share buttons are a good thing and a are very simple...

okay, i feel i should share a few of the hacks with you people, they're really cool and hopefully you will thank me for it

So first of all open up a new tab
and then type

about:config

you will then be given a message much like this

It's okay i won't be changing anything serious but if you don't want to play around a little bit then i wouldn't suggest carrying on

After clicking the button you will be presented with a search bar. you will enter what you will want to change there

First off lets start with the close buttons, i don't really use them as i use the button on the scroller thingy on the mouse but now i have it all set up like this to make things cooler :D

to do this click the filter bar at the top and copy

browser.tabs.closeButton

into the box
double click the only result that showed up and set the number to 3

Make the tabs smaller

So another edit is for browser.tabs.tabMaxWidth

This controls the maximum size for the tabs. By default it's normally 250 which is Biiiig this time i set it to 100 and got this result:

Which is just small enough for me :D

Now what about making tabs smaller while you have more tabs open.

Second journal in under a day, unusual for me, but the last one didn't really count as a "real" journal

Well as the school/college year is ending there's a mad rush to get all the work done. I have until the 25^th of june to hand in all my work for the year shouldn't be too hard though as most of the work is done. I'm still working on my website too which is a lot different to what it was last time i showed you guys. it looks really cool and even uses and pretty neat system which i made myself.

I will promise some more art soon but work to be done first but as always i will remain active and keep in touch with people

I'm not that boring

I feel i need to update my journal more as it's the main way of communicating with my watchers. But I'm actually pretty boring when it comes to writing these....

So yeah. This is what i've been up to these past few weeks. First off all some of you will know i've been working more with CSS and HTML. you can see what i've pulled out of the magic hat so far [here] and [here] the design is there. but i need more work on the layout and the content .
Secondly, We've all had that dream. Getting places where we arn't supposed to go. Well i've sorta lived the dream thanks to OPHcrack and Dumb College Network Administrators Yep. I have the administrator password for all the PCs in college and i can delete peoples work

Life

Life is sort of smoothing out a little now. I have 2 weeks off college next week which may allow me to attempt some new styles of art which i've recently taken an intrest to. I'm not going to tell you yet because firstly.. I need to figure out how they do it

`Flutterings has started a awesome project to help raise money for Cancer Reseach UK. She has done this out of the kindness of her heart and although the project has become really popular alread i feel more people need to know about this. If you take a look on my page you can see a few of her awesome designs and her even more awesome humor

Art theft on eBay

On a lower note i saw an article this morning which made me feel really pissed off. Take a look Here and you will see why. There really needs to be something done to stop art theft on this site. it was only last year when i was helping ^znow-white and ^LawrenceDeDark to spread the word about a site called gulfon that were stealing artwork and resources from deviantART. The only way i can see us stooping this is to stick together and keep our eyes open.

A whole lot of hacking

Lost my Windows Password

Okay first of all. Make sure you make a copy of your password if your gonna change it. i changed my password to log onto my PC last night and saved the password on my phone. then my phone decided to screw up meaning i had to master reset it which ment the message i'd save with my password on got deleated and i had to spen the last 24 hours hacking my own coputer to get into it

`InvaderMars deviantART account got hacked

somethime between me changing my password and being able to log back on. Her chatroom #Fun4Fun Also got screwed over badly too. Meaning i can't operate the chatroom (As i was an Op). Whoever did it demoted everyone in her chatroom to guests which is pretty sad. Also ^Chimpantalones said they changed her password too meaning she might not be able to log in unless a $core admin helps her reset her account

Another Proxy Guide

Just another quickie. a mate of mine let me know that you don't need to use foxyproxy but you can use the built in firefox settings to do the same trick.

Click up at tools > options > Advanced > Network > Then choose Settings. Click manual proxy configuration and enter it the same way as i showed in my tutorial

Okay this week i'm going to feature ~ales-kotnik. I first came to find ales because of his love for manipulating car images but i'm not going to feature is cars, I'm going to feature a few of his recent speed paintings so here we go

GUI CHAMPS

Every year deviantART teams up with some of the popular names in OS Customization. ATI, Coral, Wacom, TechSmith and deviantART have all teamed up with Stardock to bring you GUI Championships 2008. The GUI Championships is an inter-website contest in which top graphic designers from around the world compete for $15,000 in cash and prizes.

This year's contest focuses on WindowBlinds, IconPackager and Dreams. Anyone can participate as an individual or part of a team. This brings a great chance to get ideas or inspiration for customizing your PC/Laptop

Update on GUIChamps

There are already some great entries to this years GUIChamps i had a look through the entries last night and already i'm getting ideas on what i'm looking for so i may have to update the screenshot soon. Good luck to all the participants

Site and dAmn tab fix

So some of you using my tab fix may notice the tabs look like the dA original ones. Yeah i'm aware of this problem and it is out of my control at the moments as the host is moving servers which also means my website is down. Okay the servers are back up to my knowlage, i can get on my site and my Tab fix is working so yeah. Thanks for being patiant and I appologise for any inconvinience

College

Got the place at college doing system support, its a 2 year course which after i finnished i should be fully qualified to start work strait away. Still waiting for money to flow my way so yeah
