I just got a new camera which means I'll be able to take more reference shots to get inspired for more work.

I'm going camping this weekend in Utah, so it should be quite the "cleansing" weekend of all the crap every day life likes to throw at us.

Sorry for the recent absence, but it's probably going to prolong a little more.

I've recently just moved to Vegas and things have been crazy with getting settled and the new job and all. Needless to say, it's been hectic.

So I've got several different ideas for projects that I'd like to do.

One- commission
Portrait of a week old infant, traditional art

Two- a drawing of a character of mine

And then a few others that I haven't completely figured out yet

Anyway, if anyone wants to do a trade or a collaboration or even a commission let me know! Because my job is now to work with computers, I'm dying for some artistic stimulation!

Aside from that, my new love of cars is growing! I can't help it. I find myself buying Auto Traders for muscle cars and other magazines whenever I pass them in stores or gas stations. I know virtually nothing about cars, but I'm currently trying to save up for my first project car. I've already started buying resto books to get ready. I'm hoping my drawings of cars will improve as well. Who knows *shrug*

The good thing though is that I'm hoping it propelled me back into my art so I can continue doing it. I still have to think of my next project. I do have a rather large commission painting that I have to work on, but I can't work on just one project or I tend to overwork it. I might try another portrait. I'd like to improve in that area if I could.

So, I've decided to come back. My movie has been shot and is currently in post production work. No, most of you won't see it, because it's an independent bound for the Film Festival track, but it's still pretty cool. It makes me feel like theatre just might be escapable and the film/tv industry is right before my grasp!

With that said I'm hoping to start updating consistently as well as having work consistently. It's funny how everyone says that except, they tend to fail. Well, I'll try.

Anyone up for some collaboration work? I don't know why but I've kind of got a desire to do some. Let me know!

Other than that, I'm kind of at a weird spot with my work. I've started doing mainly tattoos the past couple of days, but I haven't been able to ink them due to lack of resources, so they don't look the greatest.

It's kind of strange for me though, because I want to draw. I have all of these ideas for pictures and manips and things, but the desire is just not there. Granted it's nearing the end of my junior year of undergrad which is probably a big contributing factor, but at the same time I don't want my art work to suffer because my life is sapping the life out of it. Oh well, I guess this is just a small confusing rant. I'm sure things will get better, given some time ^_^

The thing is, it bugs me that I don't color my work, so naturally, I decide, maybe I can try and do one, and see how it turns out. The problem is, it's driving me nuts.

I tried doing some Photo Manipulation the other day, which seemed so much easier compared to this! Haha

So, yeah. First journal entry. Can I just say right from the get go, I'm really jealous of the skills that are displayed throughout DA? I know that's the point, but I'm afraid to color my own work because I think I'll ruin it, haha. Maybe some day, but until that point I'll just enjoy looking at everyone else's beautiful work. That and start studying photoshop, and try not to throw my comp out the window when I get frustrated, hehe. ^_^
