I haven't updated my journal in a really long time so here we go. Since my last journal in April the biggest thing that has happened to me is starting college. My final exams for the first semester are next week and then my Christmas vacation begins. This is my second time going to college so its really nothing new to me however this time I moved out into my own place so thats been pretty cool. Kinda sucks having to cook everything for yourself though. I bought Mass Effect when it came out and finished it this week. I thought it was great and can't wait for the next installment since its going to be a trilogy. Well, thats about it, considering I don't submit any deviations I don't even know if anyone reads my journals anyway. At least its a change for me.

I got a 360 yesterday, yay for me! I haven't really had much of a chance to play it but from what I've seen of this system I'm sure I will be quite pleased with it. I got the premium bundle with Call of Duty 3 and I bought Dead or Alive 4 along with a plug and charge kit. I had a $100 gift card for Future Shop so I got all of that for just a little more then what you would normally pay for the system alone, tax included. Now, I just hope I don't have any of the 360's legendary problems.

These were done by Jessica Elwood who is an amazing artist. Anyone can feel free to answer.

Who are you?
Are we friends?
When and how did we meet?
Would you kiss me? Where?
Give me a nickname and explain why.
Describe me in one word.
What was your first impression of me?
Do you still think the same?
What reminds you of me?
If you could give me anything what would it me?
How well do you know me?
Are you going to put this on your journal and see what I say about you?
Would you ever meet up with me?

Well, I made it to Alberta with minimal losses. My monitor didn't survive but I was able to get another one for free which kicked ass. My computer has been having some problems but is mostly fine and all my videogames and systems arrived just fine. I had a job within 12 hours and I start on Monday, this should be tons of fun. The bus system in Grande Prairie sucks big time, it turns a five minute car ride to work into a 30-45 minute excursion and thats the only route on this side of town. For such a busy place you would think they would put atleast some effort into having an efficent bus system. And I still have to walk up a road, cross two very busy main streets in this city and walk across a very large parking lot before I get to work. Oh well, its only until September and then I can go home. Atleast I have internet again to check out this place.

The land of opportunity in this case is Alberta and certainly not Newfoundland. I will be moving to Alberta for this summer and while it is a temporary move it is still a very large pain in the ass having to leave your friends and home. By home I mean house or more specifically room not my home province of Newfoundland. This province is a hopeless cess pool of despair. There are no jobs here, if you are lucky enough to find one even what we would consider a good paying job isn't even enough to get you out of your parents basement unless you feel like living in a state of abject poverty. I have a computer studies college diploma and was offered a job doing just that and it still didn't pay enough to be able to live on your own and this was one of the largest companies in St.John's. Meanwhile I can send three resumes to Alberta and get three calls for an interview the same day.
I can get a better wage working as a regular grunt at Canadian Tire in Alberta then I can with my college diploma in Newfoundland, there is something very wrong there. This is a sad story that has been repeated thousands of times in this province and then many fellow Canadians are down on Newfoundland for always needing so much help meanwhile in Alberta they can walk down a street and count the help wanted signs, I know because I've been there and have done just that. The only reason I don't want to leave this place is because of friends and certainly not because I'm attached to this province. The Canadians who are down on Newfoundland are right about one thing, no amount of help will ever fix this place. Well, thats my rant on this development in my boring life and hopefully if anyone reads this it will give a clearer view of life in Newfoundland. I will be without internet for little while but I will be back. Seeya then. Unless my computer and videogames are damaged during shipping, in that case see me on ths news.
