Let me start off by saying that I hate April Fool's Day. It is the stupidest fucking 'holiday' and it always just pisses me off. For example, the fucking mudkips are getting on my last fucking nerve. First off, I HATE pokemon. Like, I don't think words can even describe how much I hate it. Secondly, seeing that damn thing everywhere is really on my last nerve and has actually made me overly pissy today. I know it's supposed to be a fun little joke, but is fucking annoying and I can't wait until everything goes back to normal, I swear. And I swear to whatever god is out there, that if I see another mudkip after this, I am going to kill someone or something.

Blah, I think I'm getting sick T.T I hate being sick and can't afford to be sick because of all the work I have to do at the moment x.X I swear to whatever god is out there I will find and kill the person that got me sick >.> I don't understand, I'm such a germaphob that I've kept myself healthy for almost a full year, but I just got back to school from break and am starting to really feel run down, plus I have a cough and sore throat to boot -dies- Other than that, I've been incredibly lazy and distracted recently. I'm still trying to figure out what it is, but I think it has something to do with the idea for a story that refuses to leave my head and develops more and more every time I try to push it away. Problem is I owe three posts on FtA and have a paper to write for English x.x Oh well, I'll get it all done eventually, I guess.

Well, since TM closed I'm only on FtA now and plan to try and keep it that way. It's proving quite difficult, but I'm doing surprisingly well so far

I've also started to really make graphics again and have opened up a studio on FtA and will be adding the completed images from there up to here, so expect much more art in the near future.

Well, I'm at a bit of an impasse in my online life at the moment. I know I can't just leave, but I'm starting to get quite apathetic toward a lot of things. I can't decide what I want to do anymore. I joined FtA as Ruin and Ithilwen, but haven't posted with either (let alone do Ithy's appy) because I just can't seem to pull myself to do it. I've also got two unfinished sites just sitting around begging to be completed, as well as a new idea floating around in my head - all on top of Dead Poet, which I may close, and Pudding Cake (in which I can't seem to even keep up with it). I need input, what's wrong with me? I get like this periodically, and maybe it's because I can't get on that much at the moment due to being on spring break, but I just feel like I've hit the point of no return. I'm not going to finish any of the sites I'm working on unless I get help, but at this point, I'm probably not going to find dependable and reliable help anywhere. Everyone has other things that they are concerned about to spend time working on a second rate site with a third rate admin. I'm so sick of everything, but I can't pull myself to just give it all up and leave like I've been wanting to do since Edenei started to go downhill months ago.

Help. I need suggestions, I need motivation. I need to know that I'm just run dry on ideas and can't come up with anything original anymore. As that's all I feel like I'm doing, coming up with "brilliant" ideas that, upon later consultation or examination, are just like something else. I don't seem to have anything original anymore, I can't even seem to pull out a decent history for my character River anymore. Which brings me to another topic that's caused some distress to me as of today, True Mountains is closed. It ran for only about a month and even when I thought I was going to be able to drag myself away from it, I was surprised by what was happening with my character and stuck with it, but unfortunately one of the admins learned a hard lesson that I'm coming to appreciate more and more: you have to be able to depend on the people you work with on sites. That means all parties involved in having the site up and running, you, yours fellow staff, and the host that you use. If it all doesn't work together in just the right way, the site will die - amazing or brilliant idea or not. I know the internet world isn't perfect, but I see these amazing sites like From the Ashes (out of Distant Whispers), Bleeding Souls, and Myth (now Silverbard) running for ages and ages, and active and popular almost all the way through. Don't get me wrong, I like to be apart of that, but I would just like to know what it's like to have a site like that that's my, or at least partially, my, brainchild.

I don't know what this all is, and if you got this far, you probably deserve a cookie, as I'd be surprised if anyone read this - let alone provided feedback for me. Oh well, it is what it is I suppose. I could probably just fade away and simply lurk around the sites I 'enjoy' rather than do anything constructive and not a single person would notice. -sighs- I'm going to take a break from the online world for the next week or so, I need to figure out if this is just because I feel overwhelmed at the moment with everything happening at once, or if I really have come to the point in my life where I just can't do this crap anymore. I'll be back eventually and we'll see, not that anyone really cares.

I won't go into great detail, but this weekend was the worst I've had in a while. I spent 2+ hours sitting in front of Wal-Mart with my friend waiting for the bus, then a cab - it was the most irritating experience I've had in my life so far. The good news? I bought two new CDs (Seether and Aerosmith) as well as a few new books to start reading, hopefully soon.

Because I'm cool, I'm going to spice this up a bit and do a different style than I normally do for my journals.

Appetizer - my life.

At the moment, I've been having lots of emotional trouble. I have a feeling that it's all just PMS, but in all honesty, I've never had a problem like this before. I've never, in my life, been so emotionally rocky. My family and friends think it's just stress, but I don't know. Something's not right and I don't know what it is... all I know is that it likes to screw with my mentally, so I just haven't been right these past couple days. I've gone from 'kill something' mad to 'I want to cry over nothing' depressed to 'let's browse Ebay and buy stuff' happy/content. It's crazy, so I will apologize here to anyone that I talk to where I flip moods several times in a conversation (and probably a short time frame). And. On top of all that, I feel like utter crap. There are days where I wish I hadn't gotten out of bed and today's certainly one of them. Everything was a headache and took longer than it should have, or was harder than it should have. So forgive any snappiness.

I feel I need to take a moment and acknowledge Heath Ledger, who was soon to be my newest obsession. It is so sad that someone so young and so talented can go so quickly. I don't know all the details, and I'm sure there are plenty of others in the same boat (I just haven't had the time to sit down and read up on everything). I may add more here if I find out more concrete things about tragic event.

I was recently (yesterday) introduced to the joys of online shopping. I bought a print and a magnet from here yesterday as well as a 3 month subscription. On the notion of the subscription, I'm feeling generous and will buy a 3 month subscription for one of you, my watchers. Simply respond that you are interested and I will add you to a running list of names. Tomorrow night, I will pick one at random and pay for a subscription - simple as that.

As far as other online shopping goes. For the first time in my life, I went on Ebay and it has cost me over $100 already on Star Trek posters and Autographed photos. I'm now going to stay away, and watch what I buy carefully, and how much it amounts up to. I am, however, still looking to buy a laptop messenger bag. So if anyone knows a good place to look (I'm looking for a more designer-ish one with a pretty print, rather than something plain), then please let me know (comment or note will do fine).

Having just started classes, this has just recently become apparent to me. There is always an 'honor code' of sorts in whatever school one attends at some point in their life. I've found in my time that it is always *always* well enforced, and cheating and thieving is never tolerated. So why should the internet be any different? If I were to take someone's work and claim it my own, I could potentially be kicked out of school, but what can be done on the internet? You can't kick someone off the internet, but it is possible to locate said person and have them punished to the full extent of the law. Think I'm kidding? I'm not. You and your computer can be easily traced through the internet, even with a proxy. That being said, the person that one steals from can do a little digging and easily get the thief's location, and even phone number. So much can be done on the internet today, yet nothing really is done. Sure people get banned from the sites that they steal from, but what good does that really do? It's like giving a small child a harsh word, or a teen a slap on the wrist. It may stop them for a while, but does it really do any good in the long run? So in my opinion, if there is solid evidence that a person has stolen from you, you need to take the highest actions that you can in order to ensure that you are the last person that this thief steals from. Not just a note, a letter, a message, or a banning. The way I see it, thieves are like teenagers. Strong willed, independent, but also stupid. They think they are invincible, and will never get caught if they do something wrong. And honestly, a lot of the thieves I see around the internet are teenagers who should, honestly, know better. If you like someone's art, or character, or work, don't steal it. Tell them, praise them for it and perhaps they will be kind enough to help you with creating your own wonderful character, or piece of art or writing. So I guess in the long run I'm trying to say that just because that something is there on the internet, doesn't mean it's free and just because you think you're smart about what you are doing, you'll get caught eventually and can have severe consequences. I've seen a lot over my years on the internet, and I've only become wiser for it.

Now if you got this far, and understand, congratulations and please explain it to me XD I just started typing and that's what came out, so I will not go back and change anything - not even typos. It's clearly what my mind wanted to get out, so there it is. Comment or flame away, both are appreciated, the latter will be used for roasting marshmallows.

Alligator Shoes: A Blonde Joke

A blonde woman was driving through the Florida Everglades while on vacation.
She wanted to take home a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.

After becoming very frustrated with the attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the young Blonde declared, 'Well then, maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator and get a pair of shoes for free!'

The shopkeeper said with a sly smile, 'Well little lady, why don't you go on and give it a try?'

The blonde headed off to the swamp, determined to catch an alligator.

Later in the day, as the shopkeeper is driving home, he spots the same young woman standing waist deep in the murky water, shotgun in hand.

As he brings his car to a stop, he sees a huge 9-foot gator swimming rapidly toward her. With lightning reflexes, the Blonde takes aim, shoots the creature and hauls it up onto the slippery bank. Nearby were 7 more dead gators, all lying belly up.

The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement. The blonde struggles mightily and manages to flip the gator onto its back.

So I'll be doing two photo journals for each class that I can do a 'creative' project for. One will be for oceanography and I'll be doing that in Terragen, since I can't get to every type of shoreline around. The second will be real photographs around my campus, in which I will then have to explain 'What I Wish I Knew' for this year. I'm excitied, and will be working on these... so don't expect to see many deviations from me until I'm finished (except for the ocassional test render from Terragen XD)

On another note, I sprained my ankle when I fell up the stairs the other day and am stuck on crutches for a while. My arms are weak and every muscle in my body aches, it's not fun, but I hope to be off of them by Monday x.X

Is it simply an illusion, or much more than that? Is it the last leg of this life, or is it the start of another?

A family dog had to be put down yesterday and I really don't know how to feel. It wasn't my dog, it belonged to my cousins, but it is still so sad. She was such a sweet thing, but her medical problems were off the chart. When they took her to the vet the other day, they were told that the dog had contracted a disease that could be transmitted to the family. The virus (I don't recall the name of it) is one that doesn't have good medication yet, and could potentially be deadly to any of the family. Not wanting to deal with such a problem, they made the hard decision to put the dog down. This itself is sad, yes, but what kills me is how it effects my cousins. The youngest doesn't know what to do with himself and the oldest didn't even get to say goodbye to her beloved friend. Even my grandmother (who hates her own dog) was crying when she passed the news on to my mother who then told me.

To make matters worse, when I spoke to my mother this morning, she started to talk about our own baby and what might happen when she passed. I cried silent tears as she talked to me as if it was nothing. The thought of losing the dog I've known since I was a young child is just too heartbreaking to bear and I think that's why this event hurts me so much.

Some people wonder why I snap so easily, or why I'm so stressed, or even cold at times. Well, this is why. It's being away from the ones I love and care about so much. My grandfather is battling cancer, my grandparents dog is ill and we're afraid of the day he just won't wake up. And here I am, hundreds of miles away from the ones I care about so deeply when they are so ill and close to the end of this life. So next time I snap, or can't do something because I'm too busy stressing about what's going on in my life, please think twice before snapping back at me. One can never know what's going on in anothers life to make them act the way they do.

I need to go, before I really start crying. I can't bite back these silent tears any longer, nor dwell on the subject that might keep me from completing what I need to today.

May you rest in peace - we love you, and know you'll watch over us all from that better place.
