I've begun writing, what is supposed to be a short story, but the way it looks it will doubtlessly shoot way over that. The problem is that I'm only just beginning to fully realize what a massive undertaking this is... being that most of the concepts based within this story, are things which I don't fully understand -.- .
Seems like a foolish undertaking huh?

If anyone bothers to read this, have you any tips on how I can keep my inspiration high enough to keep the story moving, but not overload my brain? Which I have a tendency to do... I take a few days' breaks here and there to give my mind a little rest, but all the other time, I can't get the thought of it out of my mind, but I'm unsure how to continue the writing... and this is exactly the way I'm liable to loose interest.... Oi....

Any ideas of how to help?

I can't believe I'm fast approaching the end of my first year at uni... damn that's such a mind fuck... and so many things have happened this semester I never thought would. Along with thinking I'm getting just that bit closer to kicking certain habits, but knowing that in some form, they will come back to haunt me....

Which leads me to a question, if anyone's prepared to answer:
If you've ever had a real addiction, and I mean a real all-consuming-life-changing-painful addiction, and you've kicked it [congratulations] how did you know when you'd finally accomplished that? Beating the addiction I mean... because I'm pretty certain that I have, but I can still feel the shadow cast over me, or is that just the residue?

I was in Edinburgh last week, it was pretty damn awesome such a beautiful city and so nice and relaxed haha. It was really surreal as it was my first time to Scotland and yet I felt such a bizarre sense of nostalgia there, as though it was somewhere I'd lived years opreviously and had only just returned. Haha the main trouble I had though was the fact that almost all of the streets are cobbled, coupled with my very bad sense of balance and co-ordination meant I spent way too much time tripping up *fail* lol.

I got to see Hogwarts [tho I'm not the biggest ever fan of Harry Potter -.- and I saw Hume's tomb lol I love the rhyming in that; Hume rocked a pro dude who stood up for his convictions, even on his death bed, awesome!

I Saw MindlessSelfIndulgence last night at the club on campus as part of their Kerrang! Relentless Tour [along with In Case Of Fire, Bring Me The Horizon(who were pretty good actually) and Black Tide]. Fuckin amazing show [and an pretty random mosh pit appeared which formed by everyone just making a great big circle which kinda looked initially like they were gonna start break-dancing or something haha].

It really hit home in that show (somehting i've been thinkning for a while) that i can't stand being in the audience any longer, i gotta ge my ass on that stage. I've gotta do something with my life, and I've gotta do it now.

So I haven't been very active lately on DA, tho i've been drawing a hell of a lot, and playing my bass like hell. Damn i love my bass so much.... uh...wait, that's not the topic of my journal, this is:

I've been thinking about photography a lot recently, and all the peeps who photoshop the hell out of a photo becuse they don't like one aspect. I can't help but think that in doing this, you're taking away the essence of the photo, it isn't perfect, but why should it have to be? To caputre a moment in its entirety, with it's imperfections and crappy light sometimes. To me, that's what photogrpahy is, not taking a picture then violating it through changing or removing everthing that made it unique, all of its imperfections or the funny shaped leaf in the middle which gives the whole picture a squewed look.

But meh, your art it your's i guess and who am i to pass judgement?
Either way, just hought i'd give you my opinion .... <.< >.>

Well, i've officially been at uni for a whole week, and i'm.... well...uhh, not to sure what to make of it, actually, it's been pretty cool, and awesome mostly. But i guess i feel kinda really weird at the fact i've only seen one familar face here at all (and that was my bro's friend who crashed one of the Freshers' Parties lol )

Ah hopefull i'll start having a better time when i get more used to the campus and where i'm supposed to be and when... o.0.


Damn the book are freaking expensive..... but the booze it cheap haha....

Double Yayness as I got into my first choice uni and I get to move out of home in September *very happy* should be a load of fun!

I've been doing some more painting and writing too, and I may post them depending on how lazy I am and when I get time to load it up to my slow-as-hell computer (cause my bro refuses to get a wireless internet router ):< curse him!) Ah well, soon, soon I shall leave this house of stress ehehh and have wireless at uni so it should be easier for me to update although I'm probably going to the get less time to do so lol.

Yesterday was my brother's Graduation, yay *very proud* my bro was working so hard, and he deserved his awesome result !

Well, i've finished my exams and they went well *Very happy grin* and i've just come back from Cornwall, damn were there some beautiful views down there or what? I'll be uploading some pic form there and a "back catalogue" as it were of other pics and art work i've been meaning to post but have been too busy with exams and shizzle to post, so (if you care enough) stay tuned, and hopefully, i can post a metric sh*t load of updates haha, sorry for my profanity, although mildly sensored, it was a little uncalled for, my bad.

Alas, after my abscence, I have returned! *sigh* Its been too long, I was kinda stressed, depressed and in the middle of one big mess! I still am really, but i gotta try and keep myself on a high until my exams finish.
A2 finals: don't go there!
However, whilst i should have been doing homework and revision, i have been painting instead and I'll try and get those up loaded as soon as poss. 'My fractured Self' is supposed to be a watercolour but it really dosen't look like it (or me...) -.- ... ah well it beats homework haha

I have an old set of Watercolours and i've tried one or twice to get a feel of what it's like to work in them, but i'm still lost at how the 'water' comes into it, appart from making the paint liquid enough to actually paint onto the paper, what else can the water be used for? I'm guessign that's how you get the blurred / faded look that is so accosiated with the medium but i don't really know.
Any tips and pointer anyone can give me will be really appreciated and helpful; thank you in advance ^.^ (uh, but please don't just say: go practice, beacuse that's not the most helpful message ever -.-' )
