Further update: My new macro and tleescopic lenses have arrived as part of my birthday pressie to myself! Awesome! So expect some new and intersting stuff from that, I still ahvent updated my pics from Cornwall last visit, so I will try and upload them right now! I have also been approached by a gallery in Hadleigh that want to sell my stuff for me, so I am working on that right now. Dontcha worry, I will keep you posted.

Goth is not just about wearing black, lots of eye makeup, moping around being depressed and listening to morbid music. I don’t think that it is a religion, I mean you don’t have to be a pagan to be a Goth, don’t get me wrong, there are many pagans within the Goth side of things, but I know hippies that are pagans too. Goth is not a religion; I don’t even think it is a state of mind. I am not sure about these neo-Goths a.k.a emos, who have taken the cheesiest part of Goth from the early 80’s and 90’s and decided that they are even more depressed about life than even the original gothlings were.

I do not know many Goths that do the following:
“Goths are all obsessed with death and despair, with terror and violence, most Goths use drugs as a form of everyday life. They abuse their children and many drink human blood.” From: [link]

Teenagers were suicidal and depressed before Goth, honestly. Goths have no linking to Nazis, and if you actually read about history in real books, then you would know that Hitler was Christian killing Jews because they killed Jesus, and deserved to be destroyed in his mind. But that does not mean that Goths are Nazi’s. Wiccan's and Pagans do not believe in the devil, that is a Christian invention. “Other” religions deities are often demonified in order to separate what is accepted and what is not.

People talking about how being alternative is rebellion is frankly, in my book, rubbish. Who in the world did not rebel against their family or parents in some way or another anyway? It’s the path that you have to take in order to find yourself and place a stake on your individuality, which is what being human is all about. That makes me sick in the pit of my stomach.

Obviously these people know their religious texts inside out, but what gives them justification to frankly try to define some subject they just do not frankly, understand. Actually, Jesus was the first documented equal opportunities guy that promoted loving everyone equally for all their faults and weaknesses. So this must be wrong. I know, that is what I did my degree on. I mean this is jus t a huge misunderstanding surely.

God does not hate Goths, people hate Goths, but this is because people fear what that they do not understand. It’s a fundamental human aspect. It’s easier to label things they do not understand as being evil. The famous phrase scientia potentia est is a Latin maxim "For also knowledge itself is power" stated originally by Sir Francis Bacon in Meditationes Sacrae (1597).

Its like way back when in old bible times, to know the true name of something gave you power over them, this mislabeling means nothing then, you can’t really define Goth, or alternative apart from being different in varying degrees. Who the hell is to say what is normal anyway? Everyone is messed up in some way or another, be it obvious, or subversive way. No-one can be used as a measuring stick for normality because there is no normal.

You could go down the statistical route by trying to find the person of average height, weight, religious group, ethnicity, social status etc, but the difference from person to person, from personality even within families is staggering, and plus, it would take an awful long time to do, and who would want to be thought of as most ‘average’ anyway?

Went for dinner in our favourite Chinese, almost wet myself laughing (in my head) about a couple sitting right next to us trying to get my boys attention discretely because the guy was eating chips (of all things to eat in a chinese) with chopsticks. hehehehehe you know, get into the spirit of things, he was literally eating fish and chips ( may I reiterate, in a chinese). I eventually grabbed Neils mobile and texted him about it..I ALMOST DIED.

I tried to be a good, responsible, mature influence on my family members.

i don’t make new year’s resolutions I make goals to do over the year. Noting that, I have managed to do several now thatI had set for myself from 2006.

My birthday weekend of debauchery and champagne. Lovely, far too much bubbly consumed though.

the new job, which I am still at and loving.

No, altogether quite a healthy year all in all

Last night was excellent. Frelling tired though, it wsa lovely being able to hang with my boys last night, even had a surprise girl (my birthday twin) arrive after having just sent her a message on facebook that very night to see what she was up to, stayed out way too late, and everyone else carried on drinking when I decided it was beddyby time or I would not have made it out today. Dinner was lovely, polished off wine, and had great company. So thats good stuff frankly. lotsSo i made it into the office, as ever have far too much stuff to do. Looking forward to a night of pash with my boy tonight (if I have the energy to) although did not have the chance to try out the nipple tassles. I am going for dinner with all my beautiful singleton boys this evening which should be fab. Then I am going to have to figure out how to work my gorgeous boys nipple tassles (as in me wearing them for him)for him tomorrow after us going out for dinner somewhere nice, followed up by a good ravishing or three, then to follow, we are also going to rock up to a fancy hotel in Cardiff next weekend for ourselves and a mega bonkathon planned.

That is a great question, what does it mean to be Filipino. We are (we thought) half Filly and Half English, as my old boyfriend used to call me Geordie-flip. But its just not true!!! My siblings questioned this this weekend, when we found out that we are whiter than we thought, (me in particular) so much so we almost choked on our fake vegitarian spam.

We thought we were full blown filly with a touch of hispanic, and a bit chinese with a good dose of Royal Stewart Scot thrown in there for good measure, as it turns out our Lola was Spanish and Malay, and our Lolo is Chinese and Spanish. So the part of us that we thought was pinoy, we are in fact fake flips. I have started taking to call my cousin Daz (whiter than white). That saddens me. So we are not technically filliy at all, my moms family just live there. Well that explains their pale as skin, and the fact that wherever we go in Asia everyone thinks we are local...even though we are a good 4 inches taller than the previous generation.

When we were growing up we were brought up not to really aknowledge our filipino side, appart from exposure to the family parties and gettogethers but we were at a distinct disadvantage as we only know particular words, thus are left out of much banter, (apparently once I was fluent in Visian). Which makes me sad. Doing that segregated us from our closest family, of which I regret. Surely being able to speak two languages from birth is a bonus no?

I am not as pale as my sister or my cousin, in fact it has been described as caramel, even in winter, def cannot pull off the blonde thing as well as my sister, but my nose is less pangot than my Mindoro cousins, I am taller than all of Mommys family by a good 4 inches, I look different from your average filly chick, with the height and the dark clothing and stompy boots, I cannot speak tagalog or Visian appart from the important stuff, (tits ass and food items), I can speak French though, a bit of German, Spanish, and Cantonese (although I lived there never appart from 1 year in 2ndry school, Ive never had to learn it), I hate going to church, I dont like Scotland, its too damn cold, I am educated in most of European History and Art, but not exposed really to Chinese or Filly art or History. Its no wonder I am confused as to who I am.

Its only recently that we have really started accepting our different cultures together, and trying to find a means that we can accept both sides of our genetic makeup. Maddness isnt it, but growing up in a place where being filly, even if part filly, you are given a harder time than your whiter looking siblings. So what, thats down to skin colour is it? No, I grew up in Hk where if you arent white or Chinese, people look at you differently.

If you werent in with the cool white group at Shatin, and you werent in with the big cool chinese group. If you were white and new you were assessed, as was I (who did not join out of choice) to see if you were cool enough to be one of their crowd. However if you werent either then you were slung into a varigated lovely group of people from allover the world that cant really be bothered with all that twaddle.

To have black hair and brown eyes and brown skin in a sea of black or brown hair and borwn skin and eyes just did nothing for me out there. Here though I'm quite liking it. So I've always felt like an outsider wherever I went through school, so now I love the fact that I am different, that I stand out and apparently "exotic" at all times. Love it.

Whats crazy is that in the west people dye their skin to make it look like they are rich enough to go to warm places, but in the east they bleach their skin to make it look like they dont have to go out in the sun as they are rich enough to have other people to do that.

So in a strange way, this being whiter than I thought I was helps a little inside I guess. The added bonus being I can wear my Daddys tartan without people saying I am not allowed to, it is my every right as a decendant of the royal Scottish throne thanks muchly.

I would like to think that with our western upbringing and exposure to England, and having to toughen up after living in a protective bubble in Hong Kong that I am a bit more street smart and saavy than my filly cousins still out there. Plus I have known a better lifestyle and living standards, but that was because of my parents. Maybe even a bit more culturally exposed and aware of the rest of the world better, but does that make us smarter and better people for our genetic make-up?

Come back down to earth with a bump. Managed my first day back at work, apparently my probationary period is up and keep fingers crossed, all will go well tomorrow. Soooooooo jetlagged and generally shattered having been kept up until 0500 every morning not able to sleep, but had to be up and out by 1030 latest to shop. Sigh. realised how much we are getting ripped off over here for bloody everything, from retail, to facials, to even smokeables and other stuff in comparison to HK. It makes me sad that I have to fork out £70 for a dye cut and style, when you can get that out there for £19. Its ridiculous. I evne managed to buy pretty much the entire of Mango collection for this year for £48. Lack of tax makes a happy girl. EEsh. Still, here are some of the lovely things that I have seen on my way. 13 things about me.

1. I am a shoe fanaticist...in particular, boot whore. Love platform boots. I’m petite, I need big heels.

2. I have come to terms with my girliness and actually have grown to love frills. I love girly things like make-up and facials, and nails, I just don’t have the patience or attention span to sit still long enough or to be so damn heavy handed when I do try to do it. If I’m lucky, I’ll brush my hair on the way out of the door.

3. I’m currently trying to grow my hair to see how long it can go currently its almost elbow length.

4. I love sunsets, and beaches and nakedness a lot.

5. I can eat dim-sum and sushi until I come apart at the stitches.

6. I now have a whole rainbow of colours in my wardrobe, apart from black and am getting to grips with prints.

7. I would skip a starter so I can fit in pudding any day the more chocolate the better.

8. I don’t exercise, although I should just to get some more definition.
9. I have come to terms with my curves, and love them.

10. Although I look 'asian' (bloody subcategories, personally I associate 'asian' with like the indo-european side of things so I would settle for Oriental I guess), I am not Japanese, or Thai, I am a lovely mix of most everything I am not Chinese, although I grew up in HK, but was not born there, (and now I live in this freezing country aka Mighty Blighty, my accent gives it away that I am a foreigner, being able to use your dictionary vocabulary better than most people I know....) but I am not, repeat not, AMERICAN, its the HK twang I cannae get rid of whatever I do.So here is the breakdown:

1/8th chinese,
1/4 spanish,
a bit Malay,
quite a bit Philly,
and a splash of Royal Scottish Stewart clan thrown in for good measure, so I can wear the tartan whatever people say Hazzah!!

11. I do smile, but you should know- it gives you premature wrinkles- so pout instead.

12. I’m a sucker for sparkly things, small things, shiny things, and textures. So if I find something small, fluffy, sparkly and shiny all at the same time, I will have to have it.

13. Just for records sake, it has been proven that I make a plastic bag look good baby.

Wohoo!! Most excellent! I never thought the day would come. I promise I will when it happens do something special for you. I will also update soon with as promised, and much harranged for "personalization" of here by giving a bit more of me to you.
Jase and I will be having another shoot this weekend, and he will be providing me hopefully with some shots that did not make it from our previous one.
