So, tonight we had a happy ending. I was helping clean up when I hear meowing. So, upon investigation, I find this tiny calico kitten. Well, not tiny, maybe about 6 months old, good sized. It's under my truck, and it's coming to me when I call. So, it decides that it wants to be on my side of the chain-link fence, and squeezes itself through the fence! No bones in cats, I tells ya. So, it lets me pick it up. I end up putting it in one of the cages, and we are going to call animal services in the morning, I don't want the poor thing roving the neighborhood and either getting hit by a car, eaten by a pitbull or starving to death. I give it some tuna and water and it gobbles it. Well, it got out of the big cage, so I come back to get it, it runs up to me, and I find a smaller cage for it. Escape artist. I'm dreading taking it to the pound tomorrow, it's so sweet and tame. It just wants to play. So, my husband sees it, and says that his cousin has one just like it, and calls to see if he wants it. Well, all-in-all, the wife ends up taking it, it loves the kids, and they have 2 other calicos at home. So, happy ending to be had, and tears avoided. Good news.

Other than that, it's been a reasonably quiet week. But a good one.

Anyway, so this week has been a weird one for dreams. Saturday I had one that I didn't want to wake up from. Honestly, 8 hours later, I was still pissed it had ended.

Now this morning, I had a strange one too. Only this time, I managed to wake up halfway through getting out of bed to do what I had been told to do in the dream. As in, someone in the dream told me to go do something (something to do with plugging in a camera battery, which we don't have.), and I got up out of bed to do it, at 2:30 in the morning. I was out of the bedroom and in the hallway before I fully realized that I was out of bed and had been only dreaming. That was kinda scary. Hopefully I don't end up doing something I regret like that. I don't normally sleep walk either...and no drugs (sleeping pills).

So, the roof is leaking. Really bad. Inside the house. It stormed yesterday, and here was me with the towels and buckets trying to stop the water from running everywhere. It could have been worse, but honestly any time water comes in the house it isn't good. Especially when it is running behind the wall and out the light switch. Oh, and taking most of the paint off the wall.

The battery on the security system died. It took me since Thursday and 4 phone calls to get someone out to fix it. Didn't think it was that hard to figure out honestly. And we'll be out $60 because it's not covered under warranty. Nice. Needless to say I was spitting mad this morning...

Anyway, I'm not really complaining. Things could be worse, but it's the bumps in the road that make me hit the roof of the car that make me just a bit upset.

Last week, there was someone who was angry at the world. He called the library, and cussed at me for 20 minutes. I almost got in BIG trouble for not telling anyone until the next day. The boss was busy, it was 5:30, I just wanted to go home. Not the best idea in the world. But eh. Apparently, we got 3 different doozy complaints within 1 week. People are getting cranky. I had someone yesterday think I was being rude and condecending when I was actually trying to make a joke. And it wasn't at her expense. She apologized and took back what she said. People are getting cranky and loosing their sense of humor. Fun.

The roof on the house is leaking. Well, it's been doing that for quite awhile now. At least it isn't inside. We should be able to fix it. <roceeds to stop knocking on wood, and crosses fingers.>

My hubby's best friend is coming to town in about 2 weeks. He (the hubby) is very excited and trying not to show it. If you know my hubby, it's almost comical to see. He (the best friend) will be staying with us for a few days over the weekend. Now we have to clean out the back room. I've been wanting to do that...now I have to. Great motivator!

Taught a computer class this morning. It was difficult, but that's ok. I do love a challenge. Though, I kept forgetting what different punctuation marks were called, and they kept having to help me. I told them, for the ones who don't know me, Monday morning is not my best time. I will stumble, but that's ok. We can get past that! They laughed, it broke some ice, all went great. What fun.

So, basically, life goes on,
The world is still spinning, and though I'm dizzy at times...that's quite alright.

I've dealt with vomit in an unused trash can. Who knows how long it was there?

This morning someone stuck their library card in the A drive. Thank gods for tweezers.

Someone came in and got mad that we didn't have a meeting room available. He's known for a week, he should have called earlier anyway. Plus, he told 4 other people that he already had one.

Had someone try to weasel out of getting more than 2 1/2 hours on the internet. She wanted more time.

This morning there are hoardes of screaming babies all around me. (Babytime program this morning.)

And it's only Wednesday. At 11 am. Bring it on!

2. If you sit in the front of a store for any amount of time, you are apt to notice some of the strangest people combinations.

3. Cell phones really are rotting people's brains...they're the new tv.

4. Txt spk drives me absolutely crazy. Grammar apparently has died, a horrible, slow lingering death.

5. There is WAY too much communication in this day and age. There are so many different formats in which to tell people what you at for breakfast. Example: Send them an email, add it as a status update on MySpace, Facebook or Twitter, blog about it, post a picture about it, photoshop and post a hilarious picture about it. The ways in which people can annoy others is endless.

There will be more, but I'm rather sleepy, and can't think straight.

6. I distinctly remember when I was in Kindergarten, we were taught that when we got up from sitting, we pushed in our chairs. Apparently, I am the only on who remembers this lesson. I spent most of Saturday repeatedly pushing in the same 3 f***ing chairs!

7. People are nasty. They turn in water damaged books for us to sell. They turn in videos and cassettes and dvds with living roaches growing in them (yes, I had one of those last Thursday!). They smell, they are just gross. I hate the general public and their unwashed selves.

Anyway, life is going on, the world is still turning. Having to work until 9pm tonight still sucks. And the desk is too short for me, and trying to type at waist level while standing up freakin hurts. Anyway, I'm just complaining about not much, so don't mind me. I do love my job, and I appreciate it. And all I really have to do is put the keyboard on top of the computer, and problem solved. And I'm rambling again...it might be time to channel energy into another story...or stop drinking diet Dr. Pepper. Caffiene is a double-edged sword.

Anyway, so I went to the Caribbean Carnival in St. Pete on Sunday for my birthday prez from the hubby. Danced my a** off. Had the time of my life. Alison Hinds rocks. So there. And had fun pretending to be a Trini for a day. Great stuff.

Birthday went pretty well, another year older. Got a Carvel ice cream cake. (MY favorite!) And some presents. Got a nice journal, had been wanting one. Now I don't have to buy one. Everyone sang a rip-roaring, and slightly loud rendition of Happy Birthday. Good times.

I know you don't really care, but my private accomplishment right now is that as of this morning, I've made it below 200 lbs. I am so happy. I'm working with 5 pound weights, the 3 pounds are too wimpy. And I can run through 2 songs, not consecutively, but with a bit of a rest between.

All in all, I think I'm doing ok. Day by day and week by week, life goes on and so do we.

Grandmother 1, Cancer 0.

Well, it decided to make a replay so to speak. The next thing we know, she is going through 3 different chemo treatments, hospitalized once, she fell and couldn't get up and laid on the floor for several hours, can't eat, can't do anything but sleep.
Cancer 3,901, Grandmother 0.

So, she went into a hospice as of Tuesday. And she's on so many meds that she is asleep 23 1/2 hours out of the day. Wonderful.

Isn't that great. And here, me celebrating because I lost 10 pounds. *makes sad face* Well, at least the rain matches my mood.

So, not long after this initial entry, my mother called to inform me that my grandmother had passed. She passed at about 11pm, on Tuesday, May 21st. She went quitely, just never woke up, and just stopped breathing. At least she is no longer in pain.

Damn, I'm trying, really I am, but I'm not doing so well right now. Firstly, my grandmother just celebrated her birthday yesterday. She may not make it to next. She's getting worse and worse. The cancer is back and it's hitting her harder and harder. They tried chemo, but the first type made her sick and sent her to the hospital. Now this new one is making her sicker as well. My grandfather is having trouble taking care of her and they're both too proud to ask for help. Their answer is to get in the car and take a long drive off a short bridge if you know what I mean, if worse comes to worse.

I myself have gotten to the point where I can barely use my right arm. I went to the doctor after 4 weeks of intense pain. Turns out my old neck injury is haunting me again. So, after a week of going the the chiro every day, I'm doing a little better. This week I only have to go 3 x. But I'm wondering how I am going to be able to get time to do that. (Time off work. It takes me at least an hour to get between the 2 places.)

Meanwhile, the mortgage business is finally starting to smooth a little, then Chase is being stupid. And trying to do the same thing that they did before. Uh uh, no, not this time. We're behind on the truck payments, but I know in my heart of hearts that we can do this. There is some hope, we just have to get there. My chinese horoscope for 2009 said there would be financial uncertainty until July, then it would start to work out. I know it's a long shot, but everyone needs hope.

I'm not sure what else to say. There's other stuff, but those are the major details. I'm just trying to keep my head above water and not drown in my own pity.

My goals for the new year:
1. Finally finish filing all of my paper in my study.
((Getting there. Almost done with all the back-up of paper flow.))

2. Finish more of my to-read list.
((Not so much yet. Not a lot of time))

3. Do more puzzles...I just love jigsaw puzzles.
((I started on a 3D puzzle. Have stalled with progress, but I got a large amount of it done.))

4. Really keep a written journal this year, not a once or twice a year one...but a daily.
((Yeah, no, not really working out so much...))

5. Reconnect with some lost relationships.
((Am doing this. Calling grandparents more, text-messaged my cousin Katy...who isn't doing so well entering her teen years.....but on a whole doing a bit better.))

6. Could stand to lose a few pounds and get into better shape.
((Working on that...))

7. Last but not least, get more a backbone with dealing with people. Not to be afraid when I have to actually deal with a live person...insurance, mortgage, etc.
((Getting better. I return calls and have actually been pretty timely when getting back to people. I even called the truck loan company and talked to them...))

So, so far doing pretty well on most of the resolutions. Have a long way to go, but I'm getting there. I'm just trying to live life a bit more. I actually try to take the time to stop and look around me. I've even become more attached to the teens at our library, and will attempt to play the video games with them...but I draw the line at DDR...me bouncing up and down is not a pretty sight. I've even gotten into my job a bit more, and enjoy what I do everyday. Today I taught a class and had 15 people show up! (We only have computers for 12, but I told the rest they could stay and watch, and they did.) It was exhausting, but I felt good when they lagged behind to ask me computer questions (and I could answer them.) And they told me I was an excellent teacher. That felt good.

Well, it's time for bed now, no more rambling...I have a few more pieces of paper to push before I sleeps.

Well, our vacation to Trinidad was wonderful. There is a lot to be said for visiting so far from home...no one can contact you. It's liberating when no one can call/email/junk mail you. The beaches were wonderful, the people were interesting. Lots of good food. It was very simplistic, not a whole lot to weigh one down. It was a good vacation. Except for us getting sick. I'm still sick and had to call out of work on Monday and Tuesday. I went today because I was getting cabin fever being at home doing nothing. And also when we got home, and missed our flight from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa, and spent half the day at the airport, and then had to drive for 3 hours to get home...that sucked completely. But we are safely home, and the birds are well, and I got a nice tan.

Interesting facts about this Thanksgiving:

1. I survived Black Friday in one piece, and didn't spend too much $$$! Got an MP3 player out of the deal.

2. This Thanksgiving didn't involve turkey at all. None...only curried duck and (non-curried) ribs.

3. I finally got to see Wall-E, Get Smart, & Hancock.

4. I made a pumpkin pie that is almost completely gone (go me!) and potato salad that is also almost completely gone. (And I wasn't the one eating it).

5. Rest is very good for the soul...5 days off of work is a very happy thing.

Not sure what I'm doing for Thanksgiving. I get a 5 day weekend again, so that'll make me happy. We may or may not go out of town. Whatever we decide.

Christmas, well, I definately won't be in the cold. I'm going to Trinidad for Christmas, and I'm soooo excited. It'll be the 2nd time I've been out of the county.

I've been trying new things, making new friends. I joined an online book club called Chicks on Lit, and I'm reading books that I would have never on my own. I discuss things with people, and even added some of them on Facebook. It's been fun!

My goals for the new year:

Which we don't have today. They have it at the 2 elections offices, but not at the library today. Someone tried to tell me it said that they were here today online. Um, no, not unless today is the 1st. Ugh.
I feel like all I am doing today is repeating myself. Or, just talking to myself maybe, because whatever I tell people, I either have to say 20 times or they don't believe me and go ask someone else.

Sorry, just had to vent.

Good news is that I have a story in the works. Already worked out the characters description, and the setting. Just have to get the story fixed in. I'll even tell who the characters are this time (Yes, I know usually the characters in my story are nameless and have not much physical description. That's because I am not always sure who they are. I am sure now...I wonder if anyone can guess who the characters in my stories are. Besides me of course. The female role is always me. Yes, I know I am narcissitic, thank you very much.)

My computer is sick too. It decided that it doesn't want to boot up at all. So, yesterday, I reluctantly left it in the experienced hands of the Geek Squad. Let's only hope that I don't lose all of my data that I didn't back up. *cringe*

I am also standing here wondering why everyone has to have a birthday in October. And why I couldn't be one of them. Opal is my favorite stone and October is my favorite month. But I guess Gemini was a better sign for me. But, I have, let's see, an aunt, a husband, one of his cousins, and a sister-in-law that all have birthdays in October. Not to mention my cousin is the very end of September. And another cousin that is the beginning of November. So I spent a bundle on cards this morning. I hope that they like them.

So, I survived this horrible, horrible stomach virus from this weekend that is still lingering...(hey, great for a diet, eh?)

And I managed to managed to mangle my way through a job interview for the Library Technical Assistant position yesterday.

And stumbled through the first days of summer, extremely short of staff due to, of course, the same stomach virus.

What fun!

Got pulled over on Thursday and got a ticket. The plus side is that he didn't give the $200 speeding ticket that I should have got, only a much less ticket.

Found out today that I have a stress fracture in my foot. So now I have to wear a surgical boot for about 6 to 8 weeks. Which means that I can't work catering even though there is a lot of work coming up. They'd starve to death if they had to wait for me to serve their food. So it looks like I'm gimpy for awhile. Been walking on it for a week and last night I thought that I was going to die...it hurt so bad that I was crying. But the podiatrist was a really nice lady.

We had a bit of an incident of the library...ok a VERY bad thing happened...not so good. Poor girl. And I do feel sorry the guy too. He didn't exactly have the best of a family life.

They raised our mortgage again. But I think that I've given up on stressing about that. There's not much I can do. We tried to refinance but because we were late on mortgage payments and the economy being so low, well let's just say we are too high of a risk.

But, on the bright side, I still have my babies. One that at the moment is running back and forth behind me and talking to me. Babbling really, but she keeps yelling "Joe!" and muttering some other stuff. And she keeps calling me "Babe" which is just silly. Milo I think has realized that I am hurt and is being a big sweetie. He hasn't even bit me for a couple days. Junie is just being his cute self and posing as usual. He's staring at me at the moment.

Well, tomorrow's Heart Day, so Happy Heart Day in advance. It seems almost everyone I know has found a sweetie, so there won't be too many broken hearts this year. This is a good thing.

Anyway, my mom found a new boyfriend around Thanksgiving last year...he's a Harley sort of guy. So mine and M's new favorite pastime is going up to Crum and going 4-wheeling with them. So much fun!

Other than that, not much else new. I've been working anywhere I can just to make sure that we keep our noses above water. We're getting there. I worked with a new catering company, and worked Gasparilla, so I got to see the day parade, but didn't have to worry about being mobbed by too many drunk people. Beads from a safe distance is a good thing.

Been reading like crazy. Right now I am plowing through the Spiderwick Chronicles because I want to see the movie. That's fun. Also listening to a book on tape in the truck that is very...um...yeah. It brings back some memories.

Well, so far, I've gotten 2 things off my christmas list! I found the exact cupcake pan that I wanted at BigLots for $4.00. And a very good friend of mine surprised me with the Pirates movie when I came back from lunch yesterday! Excitement ensues.

Yesterday was mine and M's 2 year anniversary. The family got together and bought us a cake, and cooked and there was general happiness all around.

Unfortunately, I think I am getting sick. My throat is killing me, I'm losing my voice. Merry Christmas to me!

No change in the financial aspect. We MIGHT make it though. I'm trying to remain optimistic. I'm really hoping that they don't take away our house. We have options though, so we're trying.

Haven't written in awhile, not much to say. It's getting colder, which I love muches. Cold rules over hot any day! Plus I love snuggly sweaters.

Not much going on at work, waiting for all the holidays we get to take. Taking a week vacation on the first week of December, which makes me happy.

The birds are doing good. JoJo (an African Grey) is getting more outgoing by the day. She says "Good Morning!" when I get up in the morning. The only problem is that she has starting calling me Babe or Baby. That's disturbing. Everyone else is lethargic through the cold weather. Good times.

Alright, I already knew it was coming. October is a bad luck month for M & his family, and they totally drew me in with it. Damn

Right now, Jilly is in Texas cuz her 25 year old cousin had a stroke, and didn't make it. The sad part is, the cousin had a baby a month ago. Poor child, never knowing its momma.

I think I'm gonna have to start selling body parts or organs or something cuz, well, money is REALLY hard to come by right now. Damn, we were doing so good, and we got behind on one big bill, and the rest just avalanched. There's about $18.00 in the bank right now. I think tomorrow I am going to have to go turn in all the loose change that we have accumulated. *sigh* I wish it would all just go away.

At work, they let go of all the pages, so we are taking up the slack. Plus, they decided to change a whole bunch of policies, so the front lines *ie. us* end up getting berated by angry, idiotic people. We don't have the staff to bring in the bookdrops throughout the day, so we lock them while we are open, then unlock them when we close. Well, today some idiot comes in to yell at us about it...using the excuse that the kids are in the car and that it is inconvenient. I didn't think about it at the time, but, um...instead of just dropping his books off inside and leaving...he leaves the kids in the car even longer so that he can yell at us..? Am I wrong, or is there something wrong with that? I wanted to tell him that "since there are 3 people standing there, doing nothing" (That would be me and 2 of my coworkers working the desk), we should put him behind the desk to do nothing while we go and do some work. I guess he just wanted to make himself feel better about the whole affair by making other people feel bad. The lady that I was helping was like, "ok..." and she totally agreed with the new procedure.

So, stress at home, stress at work...I think I am going to explode.

So, to recap this week:

I was sick from Monday thru yesterday, like really sick, like vomiting and couldn't get out of bed sick.

M's grandfather died yesterday, so they left for Trinidad today. So, I am alone w/M's aunt for 7 days. I miss him already.

Had a lovely conversation with a bill collector this morning, we're a wee bit late on that particular credit card. I think I threw him off a little when I started crying on the phone. That was fun, let me tell you.

Looks like we are at least $400.00 short on the bills this month. And we're only halfway through December.
And our mortgage payment will be going up, due to insurance that was escrowed into the account. It's REAL nice not to know what an escrow means, and then find out that you were supposed to put money in it and that you now have a deficit of over $3,000.00.

Had a meeting with the director of libraries yesterday. We are in severe debt (At least $1 million...and I thought my debt was bad!). So, we may or may not have jobs come January. I don't really know what I would do if I lost my job. I've never worked anywhere else.

And there's still war and fighting going on, and the world is going to hell.

I give up, shoot me in the head now.

Well, found out news about my grandmother yesterday. It went into her lymph nodes, so they are going to do chemo on her. She has level 3, C cancer. Not looking so good. My aunt is coming to see her this weekend, so I am going up with my mom on Saturday. My grandmother is at least home now, so she has to come down for the treatments.

I've been at Bloomingdale library for about 2 1/2 weeks, and I like it here. It's nice.

So, in the past week and a half I have been:

Well, just found out today that I got one of my wishes. As of August 6th, I go to Bloomingdale! I am sad to leave Brandon, I will miss everyone so.

Ok, so, I'm really excited. The library got the new Harry Potter books, and I should be getting mine Monday. Yeah, so I'm too cheap to go buy it, and I don't feel like fighting crowds of idiots to get a book. Not that one anyway, I'll wait.

So, I'm at work. I hate working weekends. Oh well. I have tomorrow off. My uncle and aunt and cousins are down visiting my grandparents, so I might go up there with my mom tomorrow. Who knows. M's uncle from Trinidad is coming and it is a big to-do to try and impress them, so everyone is running around like chickens trying to tidy and yada-yada. *grumble* I hate that.

Yesterday we got a new security system installed in the house, so are aptly armed. One of the installers...I thought he would have been smarter, cuz why would you stick your finger in a bird cage when the bird has been puffing and shrieking at you? Dunno, but Junie got him good, he drew blood. The other guy (really cute! mmm....lip piercing), he was enraptured by Milo. He was talking and playing with him. Milo was loving this attention, and everytime the guy went outside he would scream. He was dancing and talking, and he called the guy a "pretty bird."

Well, here's an update for the month.

Due to the building freeze for 2 weeks out of this month, money was a wee bit tight (to say the least). We went through this week with about $40.00 to our names. And, M switched jobs to work with yet another of his uncles in A/C, so hopefully there will be no worries about building freezes any time soon.

I am trying to get the hell out of Brandon Regional. It's starting to get to me, some of the people there. We are short staffed enough as it is, with 4 pages to do all the shelving, and 5 librarians. So, circ staff has to try to compensate. Oh, did I mention due to the whole budget cut thing, there is a hiring freeze, and they may have to lay off all the pages countywide? Well, on top of all this, 2 of the pages are having major attitude issues, and I just can't deal with all of it. So I requested a transfer to Bloomingdale, because there was an opening, I liked working there while I was there. I don't know if it's gonna happen, but there is hope.

Then on Wednesday, I get the news that my grandmother has cancer in her uterus. We don't know too much, but they think they may have caught it early, so there is hope. She actually told me that she had lived too long to let some little buggers take her down. I'm more worried about my grandfather at this point. They've been married some 50+ years. What is he going to do without her?
And I also found out my best friends father (one of my favorite of his family members) also has cancer.

Oh, and someone called a county inspector and they said we had a number of code violations. He actually called my house dilapidated. What the f**k (excuse my language) is wrong with him?! That's not very nice at all. So M is going to call the county on Monday and talk to him.

M's aunt is going through some rough times right now. She finally left her husband, who was abusive and also abused alcohol and drugs. She tried to take the kids with her, but they opted to stay with him, so she is heartbroken. But, I think the time away will let her get herself together, and see what happens from there.

I think that's it for the month (that I can remember). Good times.

I'm taking a few days off, cuz my aunt is coming for my b-day next week. I think she is going to take me to Animal Kingdom, or something. Tomorrow I plan on having a scary movie marathon after I get done what I need to. Finally get to watch movies that I haven't had the time to. I still have to work Sat night at the other job, but that is tolerable. Yay!

Last night we got a call at 2 o'clock. Someone at my mother-in-law's job had gone around and slashed peoples tires and keyed their cars. So she now has 1 flat tire, her spare, and one of M's spares on her truck, plus a nice big, swirly scratch down the side of her truck. She's not happy, to say the least. At least her job is going to pay for the tires.

Other than that, nothing else to report. Life goes on...

Well, the good news is that on Friday, I got a big surprise. My husband called me from Nissan to tell me to meet him there. All said and done, I now have a brand new 07 Pathfinder.

On the sad side, today my mother came in to tell me that a friend that I went to school with suffered a seizure on Friday. They didn't do CPR in time, and she is brain dead. They took her off the machines yesterday, and are waiting for her to pass. She suffered from a rare disease and struggled all her life. After 2 kidney transplants that failed, she lost the struggle.

And also, we have mice. Not fun. I've caught 2 already, with a third Mr. Smartie Mouse who got out of the trap, but lost some fur in the process. I am caught between "Yay, I caught them!" and "Aww, poor things." So, once I catch them, Mitch has to take them out of the house, I refuse to deal with the squeaking. Cuz it made me cry. And I can't deal with that right now.

No, no I am not making sense cuz it is morning and I feel like the walking dead.

Milo the whole time was freaking out and kept whining "mama" the whole time. Then later my husband took him out of his cage, and put him on my lap and he was just snuggling all he could...it was so sweet. :smile:

Well, not much happening. M's aunt and cousin got into seperate car accidents yesterday and the day before due to the slippery snow. M's aunt's brand new car was totaled. They are both ok though.

M's grandfather went to the hospital on Sunday night. There was nothing wrong with him that the doctors could find, so he was released yesterday. He just felt like he couldn't breath (due to the fact that he had IcyHot on his chest....), so he got to ride in the ambulance. I won't say anything else on that issue because he's pissing everyone off...but he goes home tomorrow, so we can't complain.

Other than that, not much else. The birds are doing fine, talking up a storm. M's doing ok otherwise. He is in Orlando today with his uncle and mother, doing something or other.

Other than that, not much else. Been sticking the NYR pretty well. Some of it was better than I thought.

Anyway, enough rambling. My head hurts and I think I'll just go watch a movie or something. Oh yeah. That reminds me, last weekend, we went and saw Eragon. That was an amazing movie! It is not exactly like the book, but the main facts are the same and they always have to condense for movies anyway. We went on a Sunday and there were us and 2 other people in the theatre. Niceness.

As for the rest of the damn holiday...shoot me...please.

It started with an 18 hour drive up to Maryland in the Titan..M's new truck. And while it is comfortable...sitting for that long makes you forget that you have a lower half to your body. We got there and everything was going ok. Grandpa got out of the hospital and everything. Then, Christmas Eve, we get to take M to the emergency room because he has a bad stomach virus. He was dehydrated, had blood sugar of about 367, and another problem that I don't want to share with the world. They gave him something for it, and I spent 7 hours in the emergency room watching my husband sleep...what fun. Then, the night before we are supposed to leave...M's sister, mother, uncle, aunt, and grandpa all get the virus...so let's just say all 3 bathrooms were occupied. I had to come back to work today, so we left Maryland at about 10am with 2 very sick people. We spent 4 hours trying to get through traffic, and got to about mid-Virginia before traffic eased. That was fun too. So we got home around 4 am today. I got about 2 hours of sleep and got to come to work! They are loving me today cuz I am fun when I am sleepy.....

I am going up to Washington D.C. for the holidays, and won't be back until next Wednesday. I hope for snow...that would rock! Grandpa had a heart attack on the plane on Tuesday, so we are going up a day early to go see him. From what I have heard so far, they have to remove some water from around his heart, but he is still alive. Hopefully he will stay that way for awhile, that would suck if he didn't.

Well, work is closing, so I have to go count the $$$$.

We currently have no electricity at home. TECO replaced the meter, and they messed up one of the clips. That in turn, being as it was the main from the power line, fried the meter, and messed up the line itself. We have to replace all that before we can get power back. We've run an extention cord from next door so that we can keep the fridge running. Right now, I am cursing us being off of daylight savings time, as the days get dark fast.

And, we have no homeowner's insurance because the loan people are asking for something that I cannot provide. I don't know what we are going to do. Things were looking up, but now they are not. They need a 24 month payment history for me, but will not except any of the things that I have been paying for for 24 months. They also will not make an exception for my car payment as I've only been paying that for 21 months. God Damn Motherf****ers.

No, I mean the feeling of good will towards other human beings that some people remember is the real meaning of the season, and they throw that feeling up in the air around them, and it permeates even those that have no clue what the hell is going on besides their own little world.
