An obvious one would be the composition of the female-not sure if she's coming apart or coming together-as she flies to what I assume is her love. Another factor that catches my attention is his expression - is this relationship mutual or is there a hidden motive or plot in the undercurrent. :?

I like that it isn't the same type of Pokemon expressing feeling for another - offers a sense of variety, you know? Also, the top hat with the Raichu is wordlessly adorable. Heh. This might not mean anything to my non-Canadian watchers/visitors, but those who have heard of today's storm would understand. For those living in the general vicinity of Southern Ontario would know specifically the hell of portion of this crazy squall.

We couldn't start plowing the driveway until about 7 pm, which is about when the snow stopped for us. The fallen snow was at least a foot, though I'm willing to bet we got more than that measurement since it was constant flurries for 9 hours straight. Heh. Twas an interesting day.


Well, my entries are in for two separate Dark Christmas contests, but I think my non-competitor, Broken Holiday, is the most twisted and shadowed of them all. I guess it's true that I am handicapped at warm and fluffy writings now. Maybe Spot [(c) ~Lady-Tempest] has managed to seal that big-clawed, pink romance demon away... Sorry to those who don't know the reference =p

I know I don't normally do journals strictly about my personal goings-on, but I need to let some things off my chest. I had to work today; truthfully, I wanted to be away from here, home. Woke up to hear my Mom crying. Occasionally, I heard her a few more times before I had to leave for work. I don't know how to comfort her, especially when my heart doesn't know how to comfort me.

A year ago, I didn't have a Thanksgiving. On this weekend, I was living in Mississauga, caring for my aunt's dogs. My Mom and her sisters were staying at the home where my Papa (Grandfather) was residing. The Wednesday after Thanksgiving, he died; I received the text message right before my first class. It was three months after my Oma died.

I guess it's silly to mention that it's been really hard for my Mom and my aunts, and probably for more members of my family too. Strangely, I'm not sad. For some reason, I have this disillusion that I haven't seen them in a while, and eventually, we'll cross paths. Dunno; I guess it's my foolish way of coping.

Why did I post this? Not really sure. I guess I wanted to show that things can happen to change your life, sometimes on the worst ["best"] times of the year. Try not to take the people you love for granted. Be thankful for the life you have. I'm not looking for hugs or sympathy, I'm fine. Please give those things to the ones close to you. Remind them you love them and are happy they are there with you.

The lack of posts aren't new (I'm sorry, but I work all weekend, leaving homework time to be only during the week), but I want to share the talent of a wonderful artist and good friend of mine.

I'm the type of person who is able to envision things, but incapable of always describing them. Such was the case with Nightshade, Mitexi's weapon. I had an idea of what the blade looks like, but naught the ability to explain what I see.

I know I haven't updated lately, but I have been writing and working hard. I'll try and post things once I've gotten ahead in my reading.

English Major = Reading about 4 books in a week almost every week. Please bear with my foolish choice in education.

However, complaining is not the purpose of my post, although it would be funny to be so. No, I wanted to inform my watchers of a new wonder to join the efforts of Broken Requiem.

Okay. This may come as overly dramatic, but my modem is down. That equals no internets for me for an indeterminate amount of time. Why am I online right now? Because I went to Guelph and hijacked a school computer.


This is very inconvenient because I like to check dA every night and converse with the amazing :iconying-and-yang-inc:. I also wanted to post some new drabbles. Buuuuuu!


Anyhow, just wanted people to know my activity may be restricted over the next little while. My Mom and I are modem switching tomorrow, but if the wires are fried from something else, we will need additional aid. Therefore, I don't know how long I will be internetless.


On another note, my blisters have evacuated the aliens living inside them. However, I'm still keeping them covered to prevent infection. Upon driving here today, I realized I'm starting to look like Riku -- white covering on his right wrist. :XD: I am no longer covering the one on my thumb, as it never does much good anyways, which is why I realized the cosplay potential. ^^;

So, I'm at work. It's time to pan-sear the chicken. One minute things are fine. The next, I'm wearing burning-hot oil on my arm.

>_< Sooooo. Was that my big chance to get off on work compensation? :XD: Yeah right. Didn't have the chance to do much for it for about half an hour. Then, I put on some Polysporin, some gauze held up with electrical tape and went on my way.

It splashed on my thumb, right up to the middle of my forearm. There are many blisters, and one that is a centimetre high. I'm not exaggerating this either, which is the scary thing. It literaly looks like I'm a gremlin from the old movies, where their skin bubbles up as they transform.

Both my brother and my boss, who work around hot things that burn severely (kitchen and truck garage) have both told me that they have never seen that before in their life. Actually, when I got home, my brother thought it was a gob of Polysporin that I hadn't rubbed in yet. :lol:

Pictures have been taken, on the sheer "gross" factor of it all. Funny enough, it doesn't really hurt. It did for a while, but no longer. I'm being told they are severe second degree. :dead:


Moral: When I burn myself, I don't mess around.

Odd title? Yes, well, I'm an odd person.

For those who don't know me, I have a tradition for Valentine's Day. It began with a short story called Faltered Faith which still stands strong in my fanfiction.net archive. It involves Kairi realizing that love and promises are only as worthy and trusting as the one who speaks them. The title explains which way that scale fell.

Anyways, this will be my third year writing, but first for here on deviantART. :boogie: Therefore, I have some singled out and special drabbles for this year's contribution.

Did you follow the silly little trail I left? Heh. I was originally just going to make a simple note in a deviation, but :iconblueeyedperceiver: mentioned the idea of it being a treasure hunt, so I improvised a little. :XD:

Anyways, what was the purpose of this thing? Nothing really. I originally started the idea as a way to give away free drabbles, since I generally write more when I'm being challenged, but then it also became a way to test whether or not people actually read my artist's comments.

I realize this can be compromised by people just visiting my profile page, but it's worth the chance (rare as it is). So, however you got the idea to come here, you shall be rewarded.

To those who found their way here, I give to you the chance to pick a drabble off the massive list on my main journal (the most current one) and have it written especially for you. Okay, 8 facts :

1. Riku is my muse. He is like a constant presence in my heart and I can write because of it. Delusional as it sounds, that's how it is. Like me or hate me for what I am.
2. I originally set out in the field of science. I played Kingdom Hearts and startedwriting fan fiction. Now I'm an English major with a passion for writing.
3. I'm a sucker for blindfolds. I specifically love the video for Stricken by Disturbed for moment 2:17, where a blindfolded boy appears on the line "Into the Abyss I Run"
4. I love silver hair on my bishies, though I prefer it to be shoulder/shoulder blade length. Sephy's kewl, but I'd prefer him if his hair was shorter. Haha
5. If they have pallid skin, they look so entracing in the moonlight. It's even better if their hair falls in their face alot.
6. I cut and dyed my hair (which had been untouched by colour and long for 20 years) in order to cosplay L (Death Note) at Anime North.
7. I have a scar on the left side of my neck. When I had the stitches taken out, two of them bled. I had several people ask if I'd been bitten by a vampire.
8. I am that person who laughs in tear-jerker romance movies. The Notebook had me in stitches. The glaring people made it even better.

Well, technically, only two of them relate to those eyes, but the image encouraged a third one about the pretty silver-haired bishie.

I've decided I really hated high school -- hell, I still do. What instigated this revelation? A couple different stories, manga and distasteful memories. I'm not really sure what's worse -- someone who started off sweet and turned ugly, or a child who was demonic and became "angelic". What caused that debate? An argumentative mind burrowing through experiences of both. Anyways, if you see similar themes in future drabbles, you'll know what caused it.

1.) Who is your favorite Kingdom Hearts character(s)?

Riku!! ^^; I likes the Xemnas and Zexion too. Basically, if they're angsty and/or manipulative as hell, they're welcome in my abyss.

2.) What is your favorite pairing?

Dun really have one. I can't pair Riku with anyone in KH because I don't see him as compatible with any of them. *Shrug* Just the way I am. Tend to pair him with OC's or as gift fics for a friend, pair him with Lenne (FFX-2).

3.) Are you a Kingdom Hearts yaoi or hentai fan?

Neither. I don't mind KH yaoi, but it's not my first choice as far as love interests for characters and such.

4.) Ever cosplayed Kingdom Hearts characters? If so, who, where and how many times?

Well, Riku, of course. I wear him any time there's a chance to walk around in a trenchcoat and blindfold. :lol: Yes, I do know the implications in my choice of words...

5.) List your collection of Kingdom Hearts junk and merchandise, if any.

KH1, KH2, KH:Com (for the GBA); Axel, Roxas figurines; several keyblade merchandise (including necklaces and keychains); any doujinshis I can find; every volume of manga that has been released here; Axel plushie; Paopu fruit plushie thing (from AN); 30(+) bookmarks; about 10 buttons (probably more); 2 wall scrolls that are on the wall; about 16 fanart pictures actually on my walls; I'd say around 25 fanart pictures that are not on my wall; and a binder filled with pictures I printed off the internet when this whole craze started.

I also have asked any friends going to Japan if they will pick up the final mixes for me. I know what you're thinking, but I'm not obsessed. ^^;

6.) Have you ever felt that you were destined to be with a Kingdom Hearts character? If so who?

Destined is a very weighted term. Not saying I wouldn't like Riku to actually exist in this world, but I'm fairly content with him living with me as a muse. The only downside is that I can't smack him on those numerous occasions where emo overrides angsty.

7.) SoraxKairi or RikuxKairi?

SoraxKairi. Yeah, I'm one of those people; deal with it. And as a side note, Kairi is one of the last people I'll pair with Riku.

8.) AxelxKairi or AxelxRoxas?

Neither. To me, Axel and Roxas are close friends. Wait... AxelxKairi? What kind of crack idea is that? Why, because he took her from Destiny Islands as bait for Sora? Mm, nothing like a relationship where you're a piece of meat.

9.) Which path is your favorite? Light, Darkness, Dawn, or Twilight?

Well, I've traversed the darkness path for some time now, but I do like the in-between nothingness of Twilight.

10.) Do you support the XemnasxSaix theory?

That they're both on some kind of bad crack, sure. But since I don't know the theory, and since I don't like how my mind is interpreting it, :no:

11.) Do you support the 'Axel is gay for Roxas' theory?

Nope. I know enough people with close friends relationships to not support it by personal choice. I see why people do; I don't

12.) Your favorite Organization Xlll member(s)?

Obviously Xemnas and Zexion, but I do have a soft spot for Demyx and Axel. I'd like Saix more if it wasn't for his "No [I won't let you see Kairi even after debasing yourself]. Are you angry? Do you hate me?" line. Admittedly, it was awesome manipulation but I was already angry at Sora for being subservient to Mickey not ten minutes before, so I was not in the mood for that.

13.) Are you pro-Kairi or anti-Kairi?

I don't quite understand the implications of "pro" or "anti" because I can take them in many ways. For example, anti-Kairi could be some crazy Kairi shaped Heartless that I don't know about :lol:

I like Kairi as a character and I will defend her in an argument.

Bunch of different projects on the go. My inspiration is here and there at the moment. I think it's partially because I'm still tired and I've noticed I write more in class when I'm supposed to be paying attention to the lecture material. *Sigh* Go figure.

I should have some new stuff soon, but I'm not making promises. I am working on something with Kurix, but I need to finish at least three gift fics. I don't have a problem coming up with plots; I have an overabundance of those ^^;. I just have difficulty making my thoughts sound right, and sadly, I don't draft well. I wnat everything to sound right the first time.

Yeah. So that's my rant for the day. Hope to entertain everyone soon. :)

I have already admitted to myself that I need to stop responding to things by impulse because nothing good ever comes of it. I need to work on how I communicate myself because although I do not intend for people to take things the way they can, it doesn't change the fact that I'm communicating myself poorly. When I was told this, I responded with hostility and did not stop to think properly, but by then, it was too late. I already lost my chance.

This bothers me greatly because it's upsetting when I've hurt someone or bring bad feelings between us, and even though I stated this when I started talking with the individual, I still caused these bad feelings to arise. This has been bothering me all weekend, and it bothers me more now because I cannot send my response that came from breaking away from the hostility and assessing myself as a person; I've already lost my chance.

I know that he/she will not read this journal entry, but I need to express that I've realized where I've gone wrong and to thank him/her for pointing out my faults, even if I did not appreciate the manner I was told. I need to admit this because I have not been able to think about anything else for the past few days, but this needs to stop. I was wrong. I know that. I've learned alot from this individual, and even if he/she hates me, I'm still happy that he taught me what he/she has.

I'm writing my thoughts out because I need to get over this.

1) Two exams, back to back, starting at 8:30 am

2) The first exam is Psychology. [Why do they do this? No one wants to think about psychology at 8:30 am... :(]

3) Although I went to bed at 9:30, I woke up about 3:30 am and never went back to sleep. [You try to help your mind and body and it spits in your face]

4) Of all the days for the weather to be evil, it picks today. Ice, wind, snow and a highway lined with fields... Ugh.

5) Turns out my drive home will be worse than the drive up [And it's not like I couldn't come today. Exams don't take bad weather checks]

6) My brain is saying "I'll never remember all of this", which is not helping my "positive" attitude. [Okay, that has nothing to do with the day except that it's the first day of exams, so study time was limited]

*Sigh* I better stop playing around on here and go back to my notes. Not that everyone needed to hear me complain, but I couldn't help it.

Hope everyone else is having a better go with today than I am.

Although this essay has been fun, it's worth 35% of my mark. Argh! I'm so close to finishing it, but I'm lacking in time to work on it tomorrow now (last minute baby-sitting), which make me edgy and grr'ed. And it's 3 am, so I know I need bed.

On the plus side, I have two new drabbles written, though one will need to wait for posting permission first. Yeii slow night at work!
