Basically, it's played in the Black Moon Family arc of Sailor Moon R... but there is much gender switching and role reversal.

PLOT:
The universe of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon as you know it as just been twisted upside down. Imagine the entire story revolving around the princess of the Earth and her eight guardian sailor senshi, the mineral senshi. She has fallen in love with the prince of the Moon, and together with his four planetary shitennou, they aid the Earth princess in protecting the galaxy from all threats.

Role Reversal takes place in the Sailor Moon R second storyline arc, where a mysterious little girl has suddenly appeared at Chiba Usagi's house, claiming to be her cousin. They do not know who this girl is, but she even claims that she has the same name as Usagi.

The mysterious little girl, whom they dubbed Chibiusa, is secretly in search of the ginzuishou to save her mother, Neo Queen Serenity in 30th century Crystal Tokyo. What Chibiusa does not realize is that the threat she is trying to run away from as followed her to the past.

The Black Moon Family, led by Princess Demand, has come to also find the ginzuishou and kill Chibiusa. They want to take over the Earth in the 30th century, and to do this they need the ginzuishou. They also plan to take down the five locations -- future Crystal Points -- to bring down Crystal Tokyo's barriers in the future. (It is important to note that every single member of the Black Moon Family has been gender switched from canon storyline.)

Can Sailor Earth, her senshi, and the Moon Court find out who Chibiusa and the Black Moon Family really are before it's too late? Can they figure out their intentions and stop them from destroying the future?

It's set in the future in Crystal Tokyo as Princess Small Lady (Chibiusa) is coming to her adult years. A large Shadow Army attacks the city and they are very powerful. One by one the senshi fight to keep them down, but they all fall to their deaths. Once Small Lady learns of what is happening, she transforms into Sailor Chibimoon and runs into her parents chambers to find out what is going on. There she finds out that the king of the Shadow Army had somehow infiltrated the castle and stabbed King Endymion through the heart. Small Lady watched as her mother, Queen Selenity, bent over Endymion's dead body. The queen then clutched at her heart, falling on top of Endymion, dead of a heart attack due to sorrow, shock, and overwhelming circumstances.

Small Lady is now the queen of Crystal Tokyo, and she is the only one left to save it. The ginzuishou appears in her hands she manages to cleanse the city with it, wiping out the Shadow Army.

It is about fourteen years in the future. Queen Small Lady has married Helios and they had a daughter together named Yukihime. On Yukihime's fourteenth birthday, she finds out that she is the new Sailor Chibimoon. All of the soldiers had died before they had a chance to get married and have families of their own, so they had no children for the powers to be passed onto. On the princess's fourteenth year of life, an all new line of sailor senshi were woken as well. People whom had been faithful, unsuspecting civillians of Crystal Tokyo found out that they were one of the nine special ones who would be passed on the powers of the legendary original planetary senshi.

Along with new planetary senshi came the birth of a line of powerful soldiers that hadn't been seen in a very long time. For reasons in which were unexplainable, the Generals began to emerge. Armed with completely new powers, these young men seemed to be indifferent towards the Moon Family. Were they friends, or were they foe? It seemed that each general as individuals had their own side in which to be on. But the question was.. ultimately, which side would they choose?

When the Inners and Outers passed away in that tragic battle they were laid to rest. Yet...something that had always been lying within them had awoken and could finally be free of their prison. Every person had good and evil in them and make the decision of which to embrace. The evil essense of the senshi were now free and taking a physical senshi form different from their good counter parts did but of course far from them. What did they want? What the Planetary Senshi had always wanted at first... for things to be normal. To not have to protect a Royal Family or protect millions of people. And in order for that to happen they would have to eliminate anything and everything that had to do with the Moon Family.
