First off, Today was my Oral Surgery appointment. Basically I went to have a small iron peg drilled into my gums and bone, that way 60 to 90 days later they can attach a connector and I will have it then caped and have a tooth where there once was one put it was pulled.

Luckily there were no mistakes and the surgery went OK...sadly...it was the more terrifying experience of my life.

First off they numbed me.
I always seem to need so much numbing, it's like I'm freaking immune to it or something. So lots of shots and needles, then the opened up my gums, I could see blood on the dentists white gloves, my blood.

Then after they had cut my gum open and I was choking to death on my own saliva and blood they began the drilling.

It caused my entire head to rattle I felt it in every bone in my body. There was smoke and dust from the bone, as well as my blood flying in every which direction. I wonder if people realize how scary it is to be laying there, un-able to feel anything but your left ear and then watching your blood go flying and splatter onto your own face.

After the drilling they put a small iron peg in the hole and began to twist it in using some small tools, it hurt. Felt like my bone was going to go 'CRACK!' any second, so they numbed me more. I felt like a door hinge or a car part as the screwed this metal into my face click after click. Blood was still on his gloves even though he had changed them once, and I could feel it drying on my chin.

After it was screwed in they continued to drill more to round off/soften the bone or something, so more dust from ground bone and body vibrating madness ensued.

After it was all done, they stitched it up...that was rather disgusting, the little curved needle going in and out of my gums sewing me up like a child's doll. I could still taste the blood.

After it was all over I was still very numb and my head hurt scared I looked into the mirror. There was blood on my face, my blood and small red lines on my gum where the sewing was.
A small metal peg now sit's between my canine and front right tooth. It looks rather like a screw, I feel rather like a freak, and the gum is no longer pink but white...they said that would go away.

Now I sit here crying...because it feels like some major league baseball player took a metal bat and swung it at my face, he didn't get a strike either.
It feels like my head is splitting in two and I'm still numb in most places. It hurts so much i can't even cry...all I feel is a numb tingling and pain, how sad and pathetic. *Sighs*
I wonder if maybe I should have just kept the gap...it would have made kissing weird...but,

At least I wouldn't have been in pain...or able to taste my own blood...or be so scared. Yeah...today sucks.
