Anyways, I'm finally updating my journal with something real as opposed to a tag or quiz or something of the sort XD;;

I went to Mitsuwa today with my cousin and her boyfriend, and I bought SO MUCH STUFF. For those of you who don't know what Mitsuwa is, it's basically like a Japanese grocery store, but it has specialty shops in it too. For instance, we ate at a soba shop, and there was a ramen shop right next to it. We also got ice cream from the sweet shop afterwards. And then, on top of all that, there was a cute little toy shop next door where I got a Pucca phone charm and a licker action figure! We talked to the one employee about Japanese bands for a long time ^^

Also, my sims hate me. I give them nice houses, good paying jobs, and a lovely lifetime partner and they repay me by screwing up the game files and deleting themselves from existence. This is the second time that this happened to me, and I've only played the game like 5 times since I bought it :/ Seriously though. They disappear. I'll turn it on, and I have no saved games -- wtf? This is The Sims 3 by the way, where you don't have neighborhoods per se, but a save game file. Yeah. Second time. Five days. We'll see how this new family works out, and if they disappear on me...

AND I GOT A CAR!!!

It's a black 1998 Volkswagon Cabrio, complete with tinted windows and convertible roof. Me likes it :]

On another side note (yeah it's long, I know -- stay with me), I think I'm going to get Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for GameCube. I played A Wonderful Life on GameCube, and I liked it, but you can only be a male player on that one. In Magical Melody, not only can you choose the gender, but there are ten prospective brides/grooms! Wowza! It gives you options. I like options. And I'm also thinking of getting My Chinese Coach for the DS. Not that I own a DS, but my brother does, and he never plays it anyway. As much as I love Japanese language and culture, I really really really wanna learn Chinese. It's just such a fun language! Any language that's too complicated for me to teach myself is so fascinating! Japanese was fairly simple to teach myself, I just need to learn more vocab. With Chinese on the other hand, it's like a whole new world!!! So yeah. My cousin actually has My Japanese Coach, so I could borrow that whenever I want to anyway haha.

Oh yeah, I also bought a buttload of Ramune so I could display the empty bottles on my bookshelf ^^ The ones I just added were peach, cutesy mango, and litchi. I call it cutesy mango because I already had a mango bottle, but it didn't have the cutesy cartoon mangoes on it. I also got coconut Pocky -- ohmygodheaven. We're going back next month, and then maybe I'll try some other goodies! The azuki red bean ice cream was delicious by the way, but I think there was something in it that made me and my cousin high XD;;

Okay, so about Resident Evil 5... I don't like it so much. Personally, I was a fan of the funky camera angles, strange controls, and serious lack of ammo. Now in RE5, unlike 4, there is less ammo, but they're still trying to make you kill off hoardes of parasite-infected, mind-controlled civilians. That makes absolutely no sense. So I'm back to my original method that I used in 4: handgun shot to the head, punch in the face, and knife to death on the ground. Except that there are too many majinis all the time... I have to plan carefully according to how many people they will force me to slaughter before I'm able to move on

The storyline is okay though. I mean, 4 and 5 are BOTH majorly disconnected from the rest of the story, but I enjoyed 4's gameplay more while I'm enjoying 5's storyline more. Well... maybe I'm just biased because I love Jill, but seriously, that was a smart idea to have Chris go after Jill; I think it fits into the story a little more than Chris just randomly in Africa.

Take Leon for instance. He was randomly thrown into Spain to rescue the president's stupid, whoreish daughter. She means nothing to Leon except his pay (and of course the fact that Leon's a softie and wants to help everyone). With Chris you have the element of someone near and dear to him. Like he says, a personal stake.

It works for me.

The rest of it, not so much. But I like lickers; I like lickers a lot =3 Lickers are my friends. They make me insanely happy -- possibly just insane. Almost as happy as Lisa Trevor.

And Christmas. That was nice too. I didn't get as many presents, but I'm very happy with what I did get; especially Resident Evil. I'm thrilled

Yeah, so my uncle got me Resident Evil Degeneration (the CG movie), and it was actually decent. I have a few problems with it though: first and foremost is Leon. They made Leon too cold... he's not that rude =/ I didn't have a problem with Claire; I think she was fine. But Angela is bad news. She was stupid. I didn't like her. AND! Leon would most certainly NOT agree to go "diving" with her again )=< That's like Leon agreeing to do "overtime" with Ashley. No, just no. Besides, Ada would smack him into next week. I mean, honestly. Okay, so he's Leon -- nice, caring, sweet -- but have you ever noticed how he acts around Ada? I bet the people who decided on the storyline have never actually played the games... LEONxADA IS CANON. AND LEON IS ADA'S BITCH. END OF STORY.

Apologies for the foul language, but there's kind of no other way to describe that? XD;;

I didn't like Angela to begin with though. Anyone who wears that much makeup on the job as a special rescue team member is bad news.

I love how I had other complaints, but that's the only one that really bothers me. Although maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sure if I saw a monster with a giant eyeball on his shoulder (what a rip off of Birkin...) I would shoot the eyeball. I like this one kid. Really REALLY like this one kid. And we're friends; we get along. But one of my other friends mentioned sometime that it would be really awkward if I liked him, but I don't. And I just nodded, 'cause, I mean, what ELSE am I supposed to do!? I was just told, "It would be weird if you liked him, but you don't, so it's all good" EXCEPT I DO LIKE HIM!!! ARRRGGGHH!

I really hope none of my rl friends read this... not that they can't, but it'd be so embarassing! They'd know how much I care about them, and I generally don't express myself like this Oh geez XD;;

So anyway, nothing much is going on in my life. My school band concert is on Thursday (I'm not exactly ready, but considering my situation, since I've only played French horn for about a month, I think I'm pretty decent), and afterwards, we all (me and my friends that is) want to go get ice cream. I don't even like ice cream, but I love the place we're going to

Then, Friday is the band banquet! Yes! More hanging out with all my bando friends (by the way, the friends I've been speaking of are from the Mao Cult for anyone who read/remembers my Ireland journal)! And, like always, we'll have a get-together on the weekend. Starting Thursday, this week will be good =3

Oh! And I just read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini! It was brilliant! I read his first novel, The Kite Runner, recently and I loved that as well. If you all haven't read both/either of them, go read them NOW! Seriously, best books I've ever read.

As great as my last journal entry was with my AAA and all, I decided I needed to change it. Besides, now I've gotten a AAA on Kick the Can too =3

I just recently became obsessed with An Cafe, and you know what? I hated them. I honestly could not stand them. But then I wanted to listen to Nori Nori Nori (that crazy DDR song), and the first one I found was a Bou fanvideo. I decided, why not? Then it made me want to listen to An Cafe. Just for the heck of it. So I did. And you know what? I loved it!

I think the reason I originally hated them so much was because it was at the time I only listened to bands who had singers with deep voices. At the time, I was listening to Laruku, Deg, MdM, MM, Schwarz Stein, Kaya, Klaha, Juka, HYDE, HIZAKI grace project, Versailles, etc. etc... so I wasn't used to any vocalists with high-pitched voices... like Miku. I remember wanting to shoot myself in the foot multiple times when I first heard Miku sing.

I eventually got better at that and started listening to bands whose vocalists had any kind of voice, so that's most likely why I can now tolerate Miku when I hated him so much before

On a side note, I got An Cafe buttons!!! I'm so happy! I can't wait for them to be shipped

Day 1
We arrived in Ireland and went to a cottage where we saw sheep herding and had scones with tea. Then, the Cliffs of Moher. It was really fun running around on top of cliffs in windyness and rain X3 We had a really nice hotel the first two nights where me and a bunch of people created a Mao Cult that ended up spending their whole week together =3

Day 2
We went to Blarney Castle first on day two. Lots of frolicking around in fairy glades and the like... we must've done something else that day, but I don't recall =/ Oh! We saw traditional Irish dancing and sang pub songs while eating a traditional Irish dinner. It was fun, but it was long and got monotonous after the first two hours >.>;;

Day 3
We were in the Limerick St. Patrick's Day Parade. We won best international band and best uniform! XD Then we roamed Limerick for something to eat before moving on to Dublin. I wasn't pleased with our second hotel; it was really old, looked like the hotel from "The Shining," had smaller rooms, didn't get much hot water, and just plain made me mad >: ( The good part is, that on each of the 5 floors, there were little lounge-type areas when you got off the elevator. That was the Mao Cult's new meeting place.

Day 4
We were in Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Parade and won first place band overall! Whoo! Congrats to anyone else who was in the parade -- winners or otherwise =] Then we shopped in Dublin and I got a Motorhead CD, bright yellow pants, a colourful hoodie with kanji and hiragana on it, and a fun tweed cap =3 To celebrate, we went to an arcade place and I played DDR. I thought I did terrible, but apparently people were amazed 0.o;;

Day 5
We went to Kilkenny Castle, which was relatively unexciting. It wasn't bad, it was just really short and dull. Then we shopped in Kilkenny before going to the Rock of Cashel. I liked the Rock of Cashel because, you see, I love climbing things. The chaperones thought I was gonna die or something, but I was fine =3

Day 6
The band was separated into two different groups for the flight back, so less than half of the Mao Cult was on my plane. Three others besides me out of ten to be exact, but it was so fun. The time flew, and, before we knew it, we were back at JFK airport ready to be bussed home. How sad... We had a fun little pow wow on the floor of the airport in Ireland too XD

5th Grade
I've just noticed some scary similarities between the current me and the fifth grader me....
- I'm in love with Good Charlotte
- I'm shopping at Hot Topic
- I carry my Nee Chee and Sabbath plushies wherever I go
- I'm obsessively eating string cheese
It may not be a lot, but it sure did creep me out a bit when I realized all of this... 0.o;;

Haircut
I went to get a haircut today before I leave for Ireland. I like my hair short. Really short. Well, I purposely chose a Sunday because my favorite hair stylist works there on Sundays. I get there, and the guy in front of me asks for... well, I'll just call him 'baldy' since he shaves his head =3 Then, the lady says, "Oh, baldy doesn't work here anymore." I was mortified! He always did my hair! Ever since we moved here when I was, like, 7! So I had to settle on some lady. She did my hair nicely, I mean, I like it, but it's not what I asked her for. Maybe I did a terrible job of explaining, but I know if I had said the same exact thing to baldy, he would've known exactly what I meant. It was as if our minds worked the same way or something, I dunno, but he always did my hair exactly how I wanted it!

The Sims 2
I have this brilliant idea for The Sims. I just sent a bunch of teens to college, and I'm having so much fun screwing with their lives! There are these few people in particular that I'm really drawn to. In the one dorm, there're these two guys named Sueasidle Dhreems and Bluddie Hart ( I couldn't resist XD;; ). They have a crush on each other. But then in another dorm, there's a guy named Yuusuke who's the crush of Dong Mei, but the problem is, Yuusuke is gay, and he wants to woohoo with someone, so I decided on Sueasidle. This is where it gets really exciting... : D

Bluddie will be so depressed over the fact that his crush just randomly meets some guy and has sex with him, that he won't eat or do anything for a long period of time, and, eventually, will kill himself. Yuusuke and Sueasidle will adopt a child, and then, Sueasidle will die by some random means, and Yuusuke will be terribly depressed. But then I'm gonna have him get together with Dong Mei so that he and Dong Mei can have a child for the purpose of continuing to play that family, 'cause those children would have one freaking awesome family story!

I changed my home phone ringtone to the chorus of Nonfiction by the pillows I have this nifty option that lets me record anything I want for 20 seconds for my ringtone, and I chose the chorus of Nonfiction 'cause I like singing along to whatever's on my phone before I answer it XD

Oh, that'll be so much fun...

I'm kind of in what I will refer to as a 'real world' mindset. Right now, I dislike going to anime club; I'm not reading manga; I'm not watching anime (like I ever really did in the first place though...); I'm not drawing anime/manga style; I'm not listening to v-kei bands or any other androgynous-type performers (like Meevs I love you Miyavi ); I'm completely not into loli or any other Japanese street fashion; and last but not least, the one that would cause the most 'OMG NO WAY!' reaction, yaoi slightly repulses me >.>

Although there is a simple explanation for this all ( maybe 0.o;; ):

Riyu has been socializing with the most freaking adorable kid on the face of the earth! Such an amusing person... makes me smile a lot I think I'm just kinda getting a life for a period of time, so have no fear! I'll return someday!

Oh, and this doesn't mean I won't be on dA, because once rifle season ends (it's a winter sport), I'll have nothing to do with myself again, and will therefore resort to drawing stupid little chibis of my current obsession or something XD or maybe I'll actually take an art class... or I could just continue drawing video game comics, since that seems to make me happy; it puts me in such a good mood =]

Also, I wanted to take a lifeguarding class so that I could work as a lifeguard this summer; however, it's so very expensive, and my mother just got done paying about $3000 for me to go to Ireland in March 0.o;; so I'm gonna be getting a job too. At least then I can buy my own video games! My mom hates when I use money that she wants me saving up for a car and college

If anyone actually read this whole thing, congrats! You've just made it through a novel-length message like the ones that I send to my friends in e-mails!
