Another highlight was the canoeing down a creek between Hullbridge and Battlesbridge with one of my long-time friends. It was one of those crazy ideas, and I managed to tip myself over once. After drying off we managed the rest of the journey, with aches and pains all over. It was much better on the way back with the tide behind us.

Finally, I found some new music. After Ray (solarconquest) gave me some Sabaton music, I found more Scandinavian rock/metal bands. One of them is Turisas (Viking metal), which is a new take on epic music. I'm still not bored of the songs even after 30 times listening. The other one is a bit darker and is called Amon Amarth. Still pretty epic.

I managed to pass Year 2 Semester 1 of my course, with about 60% average. Funnily enough, that's almost exactly what I expected to get. Provided it carries on like this I'll get a reasonably good degree (everything counts towards the final mark now). I've got a nasty couple of projects coming up soon, so I'll be very busy. Not to mention the difficulty of the maths and physics is going through the roof.

On the gaming front, I've been going through a hell of a lot of RPGs as I've grasped the general trend and find them much easier now. The one I'm currently on is Xenogears, and it's gotta be up there with the best. There's so much more than the basic battle system, and there's no annoying characters.

Artwork from me is going to be very rare while I go through Semester 2. There's going to be very little free time. But I've uploaded what I've done over the last few months (which isn't much anyway). If you're interested in a commission I might do one, every pound helps.

I now have some money saved up from work. I'm going to miss some of the people there, it was great getting to know them. I'm planning on making a computer with one of my Southampton friends. I'm hoping for something that lasts a long time, but technology moves so fast. Soon it will be my 20th birthday as well.
I've finished Death Note, and loved the last episode. It's such a killer ending, one final plot twist. So I moved onto Claymore, which is unbelievable. Every episode is good, it's unreal. Maybe it's because the main character is constantly at war with the demon inside her, a human mind overpowering a demon mind. I can relate to that so well, my wild imagination constantly on dragons. I've seen so many get lost forever in a world of fantasy, it affects their reality.

On Christmas Day I got a shiny new MP3 player, some moneh, and a lot of funny presents like a USB Missile launcher and 'air drumsticks'. There was the usual crap jokes in the crackers, but my one also had a mini watergun. I squirted it at everyone. Nothing like Xmas to make me feel like a kid again.
The New Year came around, I was playing Navy Field and we celebrated in-game. When it struck midnight I celebrated by charging my battleship head on into the others until it was destroyed. (this was a ridiculously broken 45 knot South Dakota by the way)
Yesterday, I arrived back at Uni, only to realise just how much work I would have to do these 2 weeks. The exams start on the 22nd.
Anyway, I'm not going to to able to draw any artwork for ages now. For a start I have this huge art block and no ideas at the moment. Then I have the workload. I'll still check on my usual websites.

The physics lectures now involve complex maths from A level as well as the physics. Luckily the maths course is all self reading with tests, covering all of the old stuff and some new. Professional Issues is the General Studies of this year, since it is mostly common sense. The only problem is having to collect data from a lot of sources later on in the year.
So, yeah, this year should be interesting.

I even got 95 out of 105 on one paper, a massive improvement on my previous mark. So it looks like I'm going to Southampton University.

I'm still playing Navy Field, but now I'm paying for it. I'm level 55 which means I'm now in the second German Heavy Cruiser and blowing stuff out of the water from range.

Today I went on a Upper Sixth Physics trip to London where we were allowed to drink wine. Some of us ended up a bit pissed, it was great fun. (Drunk that is for you non-English haha)

On the art front I'm doing absolutely nothing, but I'll have plenty of time in my giant summer break after the A2 exams.

Kata - Kushanku and Gembuku, both in a group. We managed to synchronise it pretty well, and nailed it.

Combinations - 3 combos, all with jumping kicks in them. That wore me out, but you have a break afterwards so that was okay.

Matwork - Went through the stick defenses then the throws. I did better than I expected on those.

Sparring - By now I was relaxed, since all I had to do was fight a few times one-on-one. I survived Greg, then fought twice against Mark (with a break in between). I was the lucky one, because Greg fought Richard and ended up breaking his toe. We all passed, the four of us.

There is one thing that's important. I like a variety of artwork, and thus I add stuff to my favourites quite a bit. In the same way, I'm not a complete anthro artist. I don't think about dragons all of the time, and I still speak in proper English. I value my human life as well as my imagination. 'Nuff said.

I'm planning to show the transformation to a Dracor, explaining that they are 'pure' half-dragons with no other mutation or mixing. I'll colour everything on the GIMP and then submit them here. As for FFV, I'm on the last dungeon, where you can gain a whopping 23-199 ABP depending on what enemies you face. I'll be mastering most of the jobs in no time! Also, there's a save point in it, a luxury not experienced in FFIV. So it's time to train up for the final boss. This game seems to have taken a leap forward, with the difficulty level easing out, cooler enemies, better music, and an increasing variation of strategy. It's now 3rd in my FF rankings behind FFIV and FFVI.

I got some Within Temptation songs from WinMX, 'cause that band rules. I listened to some of their new songs, and they are amazing. I just love the powerful fantasy-style lyrics, and the orchestral backings. It's like Evanescence times 100!
My fave bands are now the Black Mages, Within Temptation then lostprophets. ACDC are probably fourth along with Pink Floyd and Santana.

Woo! We beat France! On top of that, Adam Hickey may well be competing in that Olympics, and he's from our school! He's amazing at long-distance running by the way. I'm definitely going to the event.

FF - What happened next?

Laguna - Ended up advertising for hair gel, but was soon fired for bringing his old machinegun into the studio.

Zell - Entered a professional karate tournament and won it, becoming rich.

Yuffie - Was caught in an unexpected flash flood and was washed 9 miles downstream.

Kain/Cain - Became an assassin, using his 'Jump' skill to good use. Then again, he once stacked it badly when he tripped over a skateboard on the roof of an apartment. Is now in hospital.

Freya - Was mistaken for a mutant, and so joined the X-Men. Deadly good.

Sabin - Decided to challenge Zell to a duel in which they beat each other up quite badly. The match was called for a draw.

Barret - Became Mr.T, and was famous.

The forest music is amazing in all of them, and they all have a 'magic' feel to them.
The airship music is even better in all of them, and the tempo is similar in all of them with similar riffs.
The battle music manages to differ from game to game but they basically share the same style.
The 'bold' music style appears in all of them apart from FF10 and FF10-2, like Cid (FF7), Figaro Castle (FF6), Frog (CT), Mountains of Gusty Wind (MQL), Military Mission (FF8), etc.
There's always a song with 'style', for example Tristam (MQL), Magitek Factory (FF6), Tyrano Lair (CT), the FF7 boss music, Maybe I'm A Lion (FF8), Not Alone (FF9), Other World/Jecht (FF10).
There's always a sad piano song, for example To Zanarkand (FF10), Terra (FF6). I can't remember the names of the others...
