Artist's Statement





Light is the basis of all life. Photography is described as light writing. Hence it becomes the written language of light. The light etched image of itself, the new hieroglyphics, the story teller of now for the future, the history of life. It is good to be an interpreter in that history.

Thunder trembled
and lightening licked the clouds
in its surreptitious way
black inking (clouds) disturbed water shot
victim on a gibbet
twitching in the wretched
of the licking light.

Then rain
slewed around across the sky
in the darkness
falling tho I had the comfort to listen
to it chattering away
on the roof.

Falling it came
As the devil receded
and old Tom’s protagonist
found a twisted sleep
amongst the higher things in life.

The sadness of the thunder
splits the sky
to weeping contrasts
with the flicker simmer
shameless electric dancer’s
jerking hip thrust
wiggle twitch.

Remote removed and passing
the storm soldiered on
northward and eastward
into the empty night
to bring some other respite
