Okay, I want to get rid of a lot of my manga collection and hopefully make a few bucks to raise money for a new project that I am very passionate about.

Anyways here is what I am getting rid of:

Excel Saga Volumes 1-16 The first couple have a some damage to the covers, so I could just give those two away, but the others are in good condition.

I also want to get sell the Excel Saga anime I have all six volumes of that and they are in good condition.

Guru Guru Pon-Chan Volumes 1-6 This series is in good condition.

Silent Mobius Volumes 1-2 These are pretty new and have never been read. I lost interest in the series so I don't really want to read them.

Sunshine Sketch Volume 1-2 Also in good condition.

Battle Angel Alita Volumes 1-2 These are in good condition because I never got around to reading them.

So, if you are interested you can name your own price, as long as it's reasonable. I mean, I'm not going to sell a manga I never read that is in good condition for ten cents. If you really want, I can take pictures of any of the items so you can see their condition.

I'm now offering commissions. I plan on doing five $10.00 commissions. Up to two characters, colored in colored pencils, prisma color markers and watercolor on bristol board. Anyways, I'm willing to draw just about anything, I'm not very good with humans but I can try.

I just wanted to say thanks to my new watchers. It really means a lot to me that people are so interested in my art.

Lately I feel such a strong drive to draw, but ideas don't come easy to me now days. I'm thinking of doing art trades or requests, the only problem is being obligated to draw something for someone within a reasonable amount of time. I don't know, I'm thinking.

I decided that digital art is not for me. Again. I don't know, we'll see what happens in the future. Anyways, I've been brainstorming for a new project I am very into. Hopefully it will actually go some where. Also, Luke and I finally decided to get a dog. Not anytime soon, but in the near future. I was working on an acrylic painting but Luke ruined it by piling things on top of it. It was my last canvas panel as well. How lame.

100 QUESTIONS FOR AN ARTIST

01. What is your pen name?
I use my real first name.

02. What made you choose this name?
I see no need for a pen name at the moment.

03. Do you use PC or Mac?
PC

04. What programs do you use most often?
GIMP, but that's only for touch up and cropping.

05. Do you use mouse, or tablet?
Neither, I don't do digital art anymore.

06. What color or color combinations do you find yourself using most often?
Grey and black. I really like grey.

07. What part of a picture do you put most effort into?
That depends on what I am drawing. When I draw cats I spend more time on their bodies and for dogs I spend more time on their heads.

08. How long does it take you do draw a picture?
It usually takes me a really long time, even when I just sketch.

09. Do you keep your rough drafts?
I do for a while, then I gather a bunch of them up and throw them out after a couple years.

10. What font do you use most often?
Whatever works.

11. When you scan your image, what DPI do you use?
I don't know, Luke changes it all the time.

12. Do you do anything else when you're drawing?
I will listen to music and also try hard to ignore Luke and the kids.

13. Approximately how many pictures do you draw in a month?
Probably just a small handful.

14. What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
I use card stock and computer paper when I use colored pencils, but for watercolor and marker I use Bristol board and watercolor paper.

15. What kind of paper do you use for rough sketches and drafts?
I use whatever sketchbook I have handy.

16. How long does it take you to ink something?
Since I hurt my hand it takes me hours to ink a single drawing. I'm always so afraid of messing up. After that I move pretty quickly.

17. Do you do comics, or fan comics?
I want to draw comics. I don't think I'd ever do a fan comic though.

18. Do you like comics? Are they fun to make?
I love comics, but I haven't made any yet.

19. Have you ever submitted anything to a magazine?.
I haven't. I doubt they make a magazine for some of the stuff I'm into.

20. Did it get published?
No, but it would be cool to get published.

21. Who are your favorite artists?
I have a lot, I also forget names because I don't really follow them.

22. Do you like anime/manga? If so, what are your favorite series?
I do like anime and manga. I guess my favorite series would have to me Read Or Die.

23. Do you like cartoons/comics? If so, what are your favorite series?
I love cartoons and comics. I like classic Superman comics and cartoons. I am huge fan of American Dad as well.

24. Any artists that you wish you could draw like?
Not really, I kinda want to create my own unique style.

25. Do you read a lot of books?
When I get a chance.

26. Did you ever buy a book to inspire or teach you to draw?
Yes, I use a lot of "how to" books when it comes to watercolor because I'm so afraid of trying new things.

27. Any video games you enjoy?
No, I don't play video games, at all.

28. Any favorite characters from video games?
Not really.

29. Do you have a favorite writer?
Not really, I like a little bit of everyone's writing.

30. Any books you really enjoy?
Too many to list here.

I used to, but it's not very satisfying.

Sometimes I do, but it all depends on how much time I have to draw.

No, my taste is music is lame, or so I've been told. You're So Vain by Carly Simon, I guess.

Sure, there are a few, but I care about what people think of me so I won't list them.

Legal, that' for sure. I don't know, maybe one that is nothing but free pictures to use as reference images.

Oh man, I feel so behind the times. Everyone is doing digital art now. I tried doing digital art, but it feels so strange to me, that and I sucked at it.

I do want to try, but it looks like it takes a lot to learn and I just don't have the time anymore. Also, I feel like I want to do it just because everyone else does. I'm a trend whore, there I said it.

So, artistically I have no idea where I am going. I guess I am just a doodler after all. Not that it matters, that's how I started out.

Well then, I did forget that idea I had in my last post. :/ Oh well.

Anyways, my hand is all better, well, my finger still has a way to go. Sadly it's really hard for me to draw and it's even harder to color but, I decided not to give up (yet) because I have nothing else better to do in spare time.

I keep flip flopping on whether or not I want to take my art to a more serious level or just draw what I like. I don't really know what I like drawing, it's really just a way to keep me busy.

In case anyone's noticed, I've been offline a while. First, Luke and I bought a house, so we had to move out of the apartment we were living in. While we were moving I had an accident and injured my hand. I broke a curio cabinet and glass severed two of the tendons in my hand so I can't draw for a while.

I had this great idea for a drawing, but I can't so I will most likely forget about it. But, then Luke will try to remind me and the idea will sound lame.

Lame. I keep telling myself that I will practice drawing backgrounds,but I can never bring myself to actually do it. I have drawn a few, they looked okay, but I never got around to inking them.

I think I'm going to delete people who don't really update off of my watch list. If you update every once in a while you are staying, but I mean the people who have pretty much abandoned their accounts. I have a long list to go through. But I think I'll save it for after the weekend.

I think that Luke talking to himself is finally starting to creep me out. One day after I got off the phone with him, he hadn't hung up on his end so I got to hear a very heated argument. I was worried, but then I found out he wasn't arguing with another person, only himself. It used to be cute and funny, but now it's getting weird.

Landon turned 2 on Monday. We had a nice little celebration. He had a lot of fun.

Lately all I've been drawing is fan art. Really creepy fan art. I've even thought of ways to make my fan art creepier too. If you wanna see any of that mess you have to look in my scraps.

I haven't been able to sketch any of my cats. When I feel like sketching them it only lasts a few seconds because Landon scares them away. I tried to take pictures of them, but it's not the same, I don't get to look at all the angles and all that good stuff.

It was time for a little change. I changed my ID from that cute picture of Landon and CC to my family portrait. I changed it mostly because both CC and Landon are getting so big, so it's really an old picture. At least it will still be in my gallery.

I cleaned up my journal a bit. It was kinda getting old. Anyways, I don't really do things like art trades anymore either. They just aren't as fun as they used to be.

So, Landon's birthday is coming up. It's on the 14th of July, I think... So yeah, he's going to be 2. How exciting is that? Not really, I know. Well, let's see, he has really good aim for such a little guy. He's pretty tall too, but his dad is tall so it's not really surprising. He and CC are still best buddies. I have more pictures of them together, but I doubt I'll post them.

I'm trying to create a unique style in my art. I tend to pick up on the styles of the manga, comic book, graphic novel, or whatever I am into at the time. It's probably not that noticable, but it's true. And lately, everyone on dA seems to be adopting the same style. I don't mean to offend, but it's true. Well, okay, not everyone, just those who draw furries and non-realistic animals.
