Hey y'all,

I felt the need to say this, just not on Facebook where a lot of people would basically be going "but...but...WHY?"

I have been doing theater since I was 5 years old. It has been one of the most special parts of my life, and I've had a lot of fun & made a lot of great friends because of it. I've had a lot of laughs, and some tears, and basically grown up with theater as an important part of my life.
Now, in college, while I'm still a theater lover, I'm finding it harder and harder to participate in the mainstage productions while still doing homework and being a good RA to my residents. I love theater, but I feel like I'm needed elsewhere; like my responsibilities to my girls and my school lie elsewhere.
So, it is with a very heavy heart and some tears that I hereby leave the theater behind. Well, not completely. There are a few smaller projects that I will be able to participate in, such as my school's yearly production of The Vagina Monologues. But as for the fall play and the spring musical...those I cannot do if I want to fulfill my other responsibilities.
So, after the run of the fall play (which I have committed to and therefore will complete), I will not be involved with anymore mainstage productions.

Yes, it hurts. Yes, I'm going to miss it a lot. No, I'm not going to change my mind. I'm needed elsewhere; that's the plain simple truth of it.

Thank you for listening.

I'm baaaack...from Hershey, PA.

How was it?

Well, it was friggin' HOT. I was sweating like mad within an hour of being there.

The first ride I went on was Fahrenheit, Hershey's "uber-coaster" as I like to call it. It's a 90 degree ascent into a 97 degree drop. That part was awesome. The rest...pretty typical steel roller coaster. A couple of loops, a couple of cobra rolls, then back to the station in 58 seconds.
In short, it was NOT worth the 90 minutes I stood in line.

By far, the best rides (in my opinion) were Great Bear, Storm Runner, and Comet. But it was incredibly hot, like I said, so how do you get cool.

No, not by going to the Boardwalk. It was so crowded, there was no way to get wet fast enough with those damn lines. So, Mom and I discovered a not-so-secret way to cool off quickly: Stand in the Splash Zone for Tidal Force.

How does that work?
I'm gonna let you just watch...
[link]
And that's why it's called 'Tidal Force.'

There was a lot of good park food around, but it was expensive, and Mom and I actually ended up leaving the park to eat dinner after we'd done all of the rides that we wanted.

Overall, Hershey Park is not what it used to be for me. Still, I have to give it some credit. It had a lot of first rides for me.

My first roller coaster ever: Trailblazer. [link]

My first roller coaster that went upside down: Super Duper Looper. [link]

My first roller coaster with no floor: Great Bear. http : / / www . youtube . com / watch ? v= paVy cKL yqgQ

My first roller coaster that went backwards: Sidewinder. [link]

(If anyone wants to know, my first indoor coaster was at Disney World - Space Mountain)

In short, it was fun, but also overheated.

I've got about 1 week left before I head back to college. Is it not scary how fast summer goes by???

Anyway, I'm gonna give my homies an update about what's going to happen with me this year (and why I may not be on as frequently).

1. I have been made an RA (Resident Assistant). This means I keep an eye on my hall, patrol the dorms occasionally, and basically act like a 'mom' for students. I'm not too worried about the hall I've been assigned (the hall with all the nerds!! ), but we've had problems before with other students. I know; I was on the floor below the student who flipped out and started threatening people. >_< Uncool, people.

2. I'm taking 22 credits. You read that right - 22. At this point, though, I don't have a choice if I want to get my double major (Film & International Studies) done in time.
If anyone cares, here are the classes I'm taking: Quantitative Reasoning in Today's World, World Geography, Intro to Film as Art, Intro to International Studies, Elementary Japanese I, Voice, Folk Harp. (4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 1, 1)

3. I've been made the secretary for the university's Concert Choir. This means I'll have to show up even when I'm sick, to make sure other people aren't ditching.

4. I'm already involved with the Cross Country Club and Bell, Book and Candle (the earth-based religions support group). I also plan to stay involved with the theater department, as well as joining another physical activity club. I'm planning on either the Martial Arts Club or the Divine N' Motion Praise Dance Team.

Basically, I'm going to be reeeeallllyyyy busy this next school year. But I still love you all!

I am so upset right now....one of my favorite people has died.

Walter Cronkite.

For those of you who don't know him, Walter Cronkite was a news anchor at CBS for nearly 20 years, from 1962 to 1981. Among other events, he covered the Cuban missile crisis; the assassinations of John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.; the Vietnam War; the Apollo moon landing; and Watergate. He was also, in my opinion, the greatest journalist of all time.

He actually trained himself to speak slower than the average person, so that we might be able to hear and understand everything that he was saying. He was an amazing figure of authority in his position, giving us the facts without sprinkling them with anything. During the coverage of the moon landing, he stayed on the air for 27 hours, out of the 30 hour news coverage.
He even made time for his 65 year marriage.

He was truly amazing, and I am very sad about his loss. But, as Cronkite once said, "That's the way it is."

I know a bunch of you wanted to hear the details of what happened at the American Idol auditions...well, I shall tell you.

It's actually not quite what you see on tv. (Surprise surprise.) The process takes place over 3 days. The first two days are devoted to registration. I went on day 1. I got there at about 6 am, to find a lot of people had been there for a couple of hours. And the doors weren't supposed to open until 8 am. No biggie. I had snacks and a book. A couple times, we filmed segments welcoming people 'back to American Idol' but other than that, nothing very exciting happened. Once I did get inside, I had to go to one of several tables containing Idol people. I showed them my ID, then was given a ticket (for my seat in the arena where we were) and a wristband to prove I hadn't stolen my ticket, along with two pieces of paper with the rules and what to expect/do on audition day.

Among those things (as I'm sure you saw) was learn the crowd song, and not to get my wristband wet.

Since I had registered day 1, I didn't have to come back until audition day, day 3. This time, I *had* to be there by 5 am (so said my papers). I did get there, and got to be further up the line this time. Eventually, around 7 am, we were moved to the front of the arena. At this point, the press started doing interviews with people in line and taking pictures. That was kinda cool - I got to sing "Sweet Home Alabama" into one of the cameras with some people. Then we were herded inside.
The arena was MASSIVE - and nearly every seat was full. They then brought out the official Idol cameras, and had us filming more "welcome/welcome back" segments. Then we sang some songs ("Heartbreaker" and "When You Wish Upon a Star") and cheered. Then people actually got to sing for the producers around 9 am. I was far back in the lineup, so I didn't get to sing until around 1:30 pm ish. My row got called down to the arena floor, then we were lined up in groups of four. We were then sent before 2 producers. When they pointed at a person, person X had 30 seconds to sing. Then, after all 4 had sung, they discussed for a moment, then determined whether or not anyone would go on. My entire group got the following comment:
"Your auditions were good, but you're not right for American Idol."

With that, we were dismissed. I went out, got my ride, and headed away.

And there you have it.

Dad & Stepmom are making spaghetti and garlic bread, because Dad and I are running a 5k race tomorrow, and we need the carbs.
I'm a little nervous, because I haven't done a full out run for ages. Dad says I should be fine as long as I listen to his instructions. Oh well. As long as I complete it in under 35 minutes, I'll be happy.
Peanut Butter (my stepbrother's cat) is also giving me his full support. =^_^=

Anyway, expect this to be my last update for a while. Tomorrow, I not only have the 5k, but I'm also going to the movies with my mother and I'm ushering for a play tomorrow night. Then, bright and early Sunday morning, I take off for Florida!!! I can't wait; American Idol, Disney World, seeing my godparents again - it's gonna be great! I haven't decided which park I want to go to yet (either Animal Kingsom or Disney Hollywood Studios) but I'm sure I'll decide by the time I touch down.

Any suggestions for reading material for the flight? I'm currently reading 1984 by George Orwell, but it's not going to last me two hours.

Au revoir until later then!

That was yesterday.

I thought yesterday would be total blegh. I was going with my mother to a concert near Washington, D.C. as part of my b-day present. In order to do this, I had to go with my mother to her place of employment for 8 hours.

I entertained myself with my army of books and the television they had in my mom's area.
Then, I noticed a voicemail on my phone.

It was a woman from the Housing and Residence Life office at my college. They had had some changes in the staff, and they needed another Resident Assistant (RA). So they called me.
I was estatic, as I had applied earlier this year and been denied.

I called them back, but they were not there. About 2 hours later, I get the call back. Now, not only am I going to be an RA this year, but I'm going to be the RA of the Otaku hall!

For those who don't know, the Otaku hall is made up of girls who are essentially nerds. It's for girls interested in anime, sci-fi, fantasy, and Japanese culture. Seriously, that's the description.
I'm also already friends with the majority of girls on the hall.
I was super-excited, even though I would be leaving my old student job and the room I was supposed to be in this fall. I get to live in a room by myself in a hall filled with nerds!! Huzzah for me!

Then, the day continued, and Mom and I headed up to the concert. The band we were seeing was an English band called Herman's Hermits. You may know such songs as "Henry VIII I Am," "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter," "I'm Into Something Good," "Dandy," and my personal favorite "No Milk Today." To give you an idea how old these guys are, they were touring at the same time as the Beatles.

They. Were. AMAZING.
And their frontman, Peter Noone, was such a comedian. He told jokes and stories about tours past, songs they worked on, his mother, the band itself and people in the audience. To answer your question, no I was not the youngest there. But I was definitely the youngest one singing along.
My mom later said that she was impressed that I knew the number of songs that I did.

This past week, three extremely powerful people in the entertainment world have died.

First, Ed McMahon died on Tuesday. He was, among other things, the host of The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson, saying the immortal phrase "Heeeeeere's Johnny!" for many, many years. He also hosted the show Star Search, which gave us such stars as Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Dave Chappelle. He had suffered serious health problems in the months leading up to his death, but it still comes as a shock. He was 86.
[link] - The intro to Johnny Carson. Ed McMahon is the voice you hear.

Second, yesterday shortly before 9:30 am, Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer at the age of 62. Among other things, Fawcette was known for being one of the original Charlie's Angels on television. She was also on one of the best selling posters of all time. She achieved many Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for her work.
[link] - A clip of Farrah from The Patridge Family.

Third, also yesterday, Michael Jackson died. Yes, Michael Jackson. The Prince of Pop. The reason behind most Halloween parties. The controversial man-child. He was all of these things and more. He was preparing for a comeback in Europe, when he went into cardiac arrest. Doctors were unable to revive him. He was 50 years old.
[link] - One of my favorite MJ songs.

Right now, this could refer to a lot of things.

Right now, it refers to two people, one in particular: Spencer and Heidi Pratt, known from the TV show "The Hills" and now the most notorious contestants on the reality show "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here."

Or, at least, they were. They walked off of the show last night. After two frikking days of 'no 5-star hotel' or whatever the hell they were whining about.

Anyway, what were the producers thinking when they asked them to be on the show? Heidi is the biggest wuss on the planet, and Spencer is the biggest prick. They were always whining and complaining about something, whether it was the lack of electricity, all of the bugs, or the challenges they were expected to participate in. They slept in late, did not help out in camp, and threatened to leave about 500 times before they actually did.

Not to mention the fact that Spencer allowed Stephen Baldwin to 'baptize' him. He later used this fact to pray (rather loudly) to win the challenge he was in with Heidi.

I can't see how they were married. I also can't see why producers of either show can stand them. Spencer is an arrogant, brash, greedy, whiny bitch who can't see past his own nose. (Unless he's staring at Heidi's breasts.) Heidi is a whiny, crying, needy, me-me-me wuss who needs to grow a backbone. Yeesh... >_<

Ok, rant over.

Well, I did promise the 3.7 of you who care that I would post info about the audition. But I have to go into all the shiz that went down before and after.

TEH FLIGHT IN:
Wasn't all that bad. My mother and I flew from Dulles to Charlotte and then from Charlotte to Austin. No big delays, no long layovers, free WiFi in Charlotte, it was all good. There wasn't enough turbulance for me, but that was all.

TEH HOTEL:
Was awesome. At first.
We were staying at the Hyatt near the bat bridge. (Explain later) It was beautiful, wealthy, rizty. I felt pampered - until I learned that you had to pay $10 per day for WiFi, and $5 for a water bottle. EVERYTHING cost money. It was ridiculous. Never stay at a Hyatt - you'll die.

TEH FIRST DAY:
Was interesting. We stopped for breakfast at a little joint called Austin Java, then we walked up to the state museum, where Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian was playing on their IMAX screen. The show was at 2, so we wandered up to the Univeristy of Texas Tower, where in 1966 a murderer headed to the top and began an onslaught with a 1 mile radius. We evetually headed back and went through the museum and ate at the cafe there, finally getting to see the film. It. Was. BADASS!!! I love Amy Adams anyway, and she was completely perfect for that role.
After that, we decided to go across the birdge near our hotel and head into the more artsy/Bohemian part of town. While we crossed the bridge, we saw a guy holding a shirt in front of him. When he got closer, it was clear that he was naked. Then - gasp! - he jumped off of the bridge into the river below! O_o (He was fine - in fact, he was cursing at someone under the bridge when he came up.) Definitely not what I expected to see in Texas.
After that episode, and doing some shopping, we headed back to the hotel, as Mom has a pool complex and wanted to go swimming. (I myself could care less about the water.)
That night around 8 pm, we headed to the nearby bridge, where 1.3 million bats make their home. 10 - 15 minutes later, all of those bats decided it was time to fly. It was pretty damn cool. I can't explain it accurately; it's one of those things that you have to see for yourself.

TEH SECOND DAY:
Mom wanted to take a cab. I wanted to walk. Guess who ended up paying the price for it? Yep, me. Around midday, I became exhausted and dehydrated. Definitely not what you want right before an audition. By the time we had gotten back to the hotel, I could barely stand up straight, let alone walk to dinner. So we just ordered food from the hotel restaurant and watched Cash Cab.

TEH AUDITION DAY:
Was miserable. I really, really wish that Julie Taymor (the director) had been there, because it was complete and utter chaos, and I don't mean that in a good way. It was supposed to work like this: Sign up for a time at 9 am, auditions began at 10 am and ran until 5 pm, you had 1 minute to impress the casting director, callbacks were the next day. But, what actually happened was this: We walked in and found the waiting room, I got my information sheet and headed to the back as instructed. What they DIDN'T tell me was that there was a time sign-up sheet going around, and that I had to wait for an audition time to send my sheet up. But (after about 2 hours) I got signed up for a 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm slot. So mom and I headed to the hotel to chillax for a few hours. When we got back at 2:40 ish, we were informed that the auditions were 1 1/2 hours behind, and the casting director walked in shortly after us due to a flight delay. Yay, airlines. Anyway, once he was there, the ball actually started rolling. I was called around 4:30 - 4:45, and I actually went in before him at 5 pm.
Now, here comes the tragic part. *cue violins* I had prepared a song for this: 'Somewhere Out There' by Linda Ronstadt (or, as the more aware people will have known, from An American Tail.) However, upon hearing the desire for a pop/rock song, my mother suggested that 'Time After Time' by Cyndi Lauper would be better.
To all stage lovers: You know as well as I do that switching a song the day of the audition is bad. Alas, I did not heed the alarm bells in my head, and I went with her advice.
Let's just say I didn't get a call back.

TEH REST:
Was meh. That night, we went to a German beer garden to see my favorite band since I was 5: Trout Fishing in America. That was excellent, as they played my favorite song (by them, of course), I got a new CD, and I had the best French fries EVER.
The next day, our flight didn't leave Austin unil 4:55 pm, but we had to be out of the hotel by 12 pm. So, we checked out and headed to the airport. Figuring we could go online from there, we turned on the computer and - holy shit - you had to pay for it! Annoyed as hell, Mom played Bejeweled, and I read her book club book. Of course, our flight didn't end up leavi...

My mother and I will be sharing a laptop, which means I will be on less this week until Friday, after I'm back. I'll try to come up with a poem or two, but I want to see Texas. And my favorite band. And my audition.

Oh, yeah. That's the real reason I'm going. I have an audition for a Broadway musical in Austin this week. (Wednesday to be precise.
I am a regular user of Yahoo Answers at Yahoo.com. Recently I came across a question that reads as follows:

I know how to act and sing and i love it,so how can i become a disney channel super actress and pop singer?
I know how to act and sing and i love it , but i need a chance to show disney channel producers how i do , so can you guys give me some tips please!!
see ya

Frightening, right?

Well, admittedly, I had felt similar when I was younger, so I decided to give this girl the facts of life. Here is what I told her:

Well, first of all, you have to find auditions for Disney. The main Disney website has audition information, though it's mainly for the parks. But there are other websites out there specifically for Disney auditions. (I'll put one I use in my sources page)
When you find an audition you want to go for, you'll have to really prepare for it. And it isn't enough to sing and act - they can find anyone to do that any day of the week. You have to do that, and you have to really sell yourself. You have to be different than any other kid that came through that week. You also should check the specifications for that audition. Some might require you to sing 16 bars of a Disney song, others might ask for the whole song, or any other number of bars.
But my biggest tip is DO NOT go in there expecting fame and fortune to be handed to you. If you want to be on television, record music, or do any of those things, you will have to work hard for it. The actors and singers for any television or recording studio put in long hours every day, rehearsing, performing, studying scripts and music, doing interviews, you name it. If you expect stardom to just land in your lap, be prepared for disappointment.

Pretty fair, I'd say. Anyone who's worked in the performing arts will agree with me.
There were two other answers, both much briefer. Neither of them have received much attention.
Mine, however, has. It has received a thumbs down.

I would appreciate some assistance on Yahoo Answers. Please go and give me some thumbs up so that this person can see that she will, in fact, have to work for what she wants.
[link]

Guess what? I have a new boyfriend.

I know, I know. Gasp. Shocker.
I wasn't expecting it either.

What happened was after my initial meltdown after my last guy, I went on a retreat with my OWL group. (OWL is my sex education class, by the way.)

We were at our teachers' house from Friday evening until Sunday morning. Here's what happened:

Friday: I arrive first. Me and one other guy catch up on what we missed last class. (I was sick, he had a fencing tournament) Other people showed up. We start learning more about sex. The girls sleep downstairs & the guys upstairs.

Saturday Morning: Starts normally. We do some activities. I discover that I can use a condom blindfolded. ( ) Alex (my new boyfriend) and I eventually got seats on the much coveted sofa. As did one other guy, Paul. Alex sat closer to me because I seem to smell better. XD
At some point, he puts his arm around me. I do some flirty stuff back. He then does more in return. I figure out that we're flirting with each other. OMG

Saturday Night: We cuddle on the sofa during a movie. We're the last ones to move after the movie ends. All involved 'get ready for bed.' Alex comes downstairs after one girl moves upstairs. We start talking. He tells me a really long story. I listen.
He then says he wants to go out with me. I say yes. =^_^=

And I'll let your imaginations figure out what happened next. XD

But anyway, I really like this guy. We'll see how it goes.

I know I should be super happy (in fact, I was planning a DA party to celebrate) but I'm not.

I told TJ about the song, and now we're in a rough patch. The thing is, I can never say what I want when I want to because no one ever listens to me. So I say what I want in my songs and poems, and then everyone listens. So when he read the song, he became kinda depressed, and said that if I wanted, he could leave. That made ME depressed, because I love him dearly and I do not want him to leave.

Now I'm waiting for him to get to school today. And I'm really anxious about what's going to happen.
Wish me luck, and give me any advice that you can, please.

Wow. It's October. When did that happen?
Anyway, I've decided that I want to start writing for DA again. I also want to start connecting with more people on here. So hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more from me in the upcoming months.

So, what's changed in my actualy life? Well, I'm dating someone now. =^_^= His name is TJ, and I am absolutely head over heels for him. We've been dating 4 months now, and we're both very happy.

We both have been working on writing a play about George Washington over the summer with another one of our friends. It is now being performed in Winchester, VA. TJ and I are both in the show. It's actually rather funny, as he's playing my stepson in the show, and we have a rather big fight scene that we both do really well. (We always laugh about it after the show - after I get out of my god-forsaken corsette. )

Oh, yeah. School.
Well, I'm taking 3 classes at LFCC this year: Math for the Liberal Arts II, Psychology I, and History of World Civilizations I. (My History mid-term was yesterdy. Blegh. My head's still in pain.) They're all right, but they all have their quirks.

That's all I can think of for now. Oh well.
...No, not UVA. Monkey Land!

Ok, ok, I'm at UVA right now for a writing program. And it's very hot. It's a nightmare to walk anywhere. (Which is why you people owe me for walking to the computer lab!)

Haha....you don't owe me anything. But I do take cash. Credit cards not accepted.

Anyway, just a quick heads up. I need to go pester people on MySpace now.

Cheers!

1) What was your first Pokemon game?
I borrowed Ruby from a friend, then I bought Sapphire.

2) Can you remember who your starter was? If so, who?
Yes, it was Treeko. (Now that I've started over, I still have a Treeko, now a Grovyle.)

3) Did you ever complete the Pokedex in any games? Which one(s)?
No.

4) Did you watch the Pokemon anime? Who was your favourite character?
Of course I did. My favorite character was Meowth. (So sue me.)

5) Do you still watch the anime?
If I get up that early.

6) What's your favourite Pokemon type? Explain.
Psychic, because their attacks are so frigging awesome. And they're the prettiest. =^_^=

7) Who's your favourite Pokemon? Explain.
Hmm....That is a tough one. My favoriteS are Gyarados, Skitty, Kadabra, Ralts, Chinchou, Treeko, and Articuno.

8) Which Pokemon do you dislike the most? Explain.
MAGIKARP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't learn Tackle before level 15 - and before that they only know Splash, which does NOTHING. COME ON.

9) Which is your favourite region? Explain.
I honestly don't have one. They're all awesome in their own way.

10) Which is your favourite Pokemon series (ie, Kanto 1-151, Johto 152-251, Hoenn 252-358, others)? Explain.
I think probably Kanto.

11) Can you say a series Pokedex, without a reference, in order?
I used to, but not anymore.

12) Do you know all the type advantages, disadvantages and all the super-effective moves for each type?
I know a few, like Water/Grass are good against Rock types and Psychic is good against Fighting. But I don't know them all.

13) Did you prefer Pokemon before the new ones, or after?
Old, but there are some good new Pokemon, like Chinchou, Skitty, Treeko, etc.

14) Have you got an Original Character who is a trainer?
Not yet. *puts on To-Do list*

15) Have you ever wrote a fanfiction story about Pokemon?
No.

16) Was the OC based on yourself?
N/A.

17) Who is your favourite gym leader?
*can't remember the name* The psychic girl who destroyed everything.

18) What about Elite Four trainers?
*doesn't remember* Sorry, it's been a while.

19) If you lived in the Pokemon world, who would you starter be?
Treeko.

20) Which city would you live in before you started your journey? Why?
I would like Petalburg, because it's one of the first towns I went to and I liked it.

21) Would you travel just in the one region, or spread to other places?
I would go everywhere, man!

22) Would you train just one type, or different ones?
Different. After all, what happens if I have just Fire and I battle someone with Rock types?

23) What kind of Poke-Person would you be? Trainer? Breeder? Gym leader?
Trainer, but I would someday want to be a Gym Leader.

24) Would you collect gym badges? Or keep Pokemon as pets?
Gym badges, but I would not forget my Pokemon and what they have done for me.

25) Who is your ultimate two-on-two team? Explain.
In my old Sapphire game, it was my Kadabra (Annie) and my Graveler (Gaia).

In case you're wondering, I am randomly going to review a couple of movies I have recently seen. Enjoy

MUSIC AND LYRICS
My absolute favorite romantic comedy ever, this film is about Alex Fletcher, a washed-up 80's PoP star. He's tragically been reduced to singing on cruises, at reunions, and at amuesment parks, while his old partner Colin tours the world as a huge star. Then, out of the blue, Alex is asked by Cora Corman (Shakira-esc star) to write a new song for her. Problem. Alex can't write good lyrics. But his plant lady, Sophie, turns out to be an amazing lyricist, and they begin writing together. Throughout their shenanigans, hi-jinks, and hulabaloo, they develop a strong bond that goes way beyond simple Music and Lyrics.
I love this film because of the terrific chemistry portrayed by all of the characters. Sophie & Alex were absolutely darling together, and Khan....Khan just made me laugh.
If you get the DVD, be sure to dance along to the video for PoP! Goes My Heart, as well as laugh along with the gag reel!
=^_^= =^_^= =^_^= =^_^= =^_^=

THE OMEN (1976)
This classic horror/thriller is about the birth of the Antichrist, and how he, even as a little boy, has complete control over some people. At 5 years old, there are both people who would die for will and people who would kill for him. He was born of a jackal. And the number 666 is etched eternally on his scalp.
Do you doubt anymore?
Let me tell you this: If you don't believe in the devil, after seeing The Omen, you will. It is done in such a brilliant style that it took my breath away. Little Harvey is a brilliant Damian, while Lee and Gregory were amazing at portraying his parents.
One of the best parts of this film was actually the score, done by Jeff Goldsmith. It was such a unique score. I really don't believe that there is any other like it. That's probably why it won an Academy Award.
=^_^= =^_^= =^_^= =^_^= =^_^=

Both films were brilliant, but each for different reasons. I highly recommend them both.

My results:

Your Existing Situation
Persistent. Demands what she feels to be her due and endeavors to maintain her position intact.

Your Stress Sources
Has an unsatisfied need to ally herself with others whose standards are as high as her own, and to stand out from the herd. This desire for preeminence isolates her and inhibits her readiness to give herself freely. While she wants to surrender and let herself go, she regards this as a weakness which must be resisted. This self-restraint, she feels, will lift her above the rank and file and ensure recognition as a unique and distinctive personality.

Your Restrained Characteristics
Trying to calm down and unwind after a period of over-agitation which has left her listless and devoid of energy. In need of peace and quiet; becomes irritable if this is denied her.
Exacting in her emotional demands, especially during moments of intimacy leaving her frustrated in her desire for a perfect union.
Feels that things stand in her way, that circumstances are forcing her to compromise and forgo some pleasures for the time being.

Your Desired Objective
Fascinated by the idea of an idealized association of tenderness and mutual enchantment. Embarrassed by the thought of allowing this to appear openly, and so employs cautious exploratory tactics in the pursuit of this objective, making sure that she is neither irrevocably committed nor found out.

Your Actual Problem
The unsatisfied desire to be respected, to stand out from amongst her friends, is causing some anxiety. As a result, normal gregariousness is suppressed and she refuses to allow herself to become involved, or to participate with others in their ordinary activities.

O_O Holy fruitcakes. That is so freaky...it's so ACCURATE.

Anyhootonda, I declare today Meet the Moon Day! Why? Because I can, of course.
On another note, I had to go shopping with my mother the other day at the 'Rio (RYE-oh) Mall' *aka a junk store* Her friend Suzanne (one of the radio show ladies) and her two kids, my friends Jaqie and Alex, also came. (Jaqie was looking for a cheap prom dress.)
I was looking through a bunch of stuff, and I got a few things including a beautiful little sculpture of two dragons. I named the dragon on top Dragona and the dragon on the bottom Claw.
Not the point.
What happened was with Alex. He and I...have never been completely right since Xmas. And he tried to have a conversation with me, but we just wound up wandering through the whole store 3 times without much happening. (Other then he tried to give me a back massage. >_&lt

Well, it's been a few days since VT. I'm still in some shock.

When I went to my math class on Tuesday, though, we only did math for the first part of class. Almost everyone went home after the first part of class, so we talked about Virginia Tech, as well as Columbine, the Waco killings, the Amish schoolhouse, etc. It really got me thinking about who I have lost these past months alone or who locally has met an untimely death.

Here's what I have:

Last year, there was a nasty car crash in town. A girl of 16-ish years named Jessica died.

Last year my grandfather made several trips to the hospital for passing out before finally dying on March 4/5.

As well, my great-grandfather went to the hospital for the first time in years. He has cancer. Now all we can do is wait.

My aunt's dog, Zeb, had several tumors all over his body and had to be put down.

My cousin & his girlfriend were about to have their second child, but she miscarried.

My aunt & uncle's new dog, Mickey, wandered off about a week ago. He was found a few days later, dead from hypothermia and exposure.

My cousin Lisa (my idol, friend, and inspiration) had a heart attack and died in the hospital.

And that's just that. This weekend, we're having memorial services for my grandfather & grandmother, as well as my first dog Hobbes. Lisa's will be held the next day.

And I also have had a brush with death in the past year. Back last summer, when I was staying in DC, our bus driver was taking us to dinner when suddenly he turned onto a one-way street. We almost crashed into a bunch of other cars, buses, buildings, signs, you name it. I was scared out of my wits.

And now, of course, Virginia Tech. I think my look on life has changed.

I feel sad for everything. It makes my heart ache to think people and animals die every day.
But I will be like a phoenix. I will rise from the ashes of tragedy. I will not let it stop me.

I'm posting this just in case you all have seen something or heard something. I have a few theories of what happened to Alice, but I'm reserving that until I read her diary. Which I happen to be getting right now. (Personally, I think Tara knows something. I'm sure she's the one who gave Tom Alice's diary in the first place.)
Please, read the books, visit the site. Let's try to find her.

I found this book in a little shop last year in New England. I finally got around to reading it. XD

WHY DOGS ARE BETTER THAN MEN

Dogs like your size.

Dogs don't step on the imaginary brake.

Middle-aged dogs don't feel the need to abandon you
for a younger owner.

Dogs do not care whether you shave your legs.

Dogs miss you when you're gone.

Dogs look at your eyes.

Dogs do not leave the seat up.

You can house-train a dog.

Dogs are already in touch with their inner puppies.

Dogs aren't threatened by a woman with short hair.

Dogs aren't threatened by two women with short hair.

Dogs are very direct about wanting to go out.

Dogs are nice to your relatives.

Dogs don't correct your stories.

You can force a dog to take a bath.

Dogs understand if some of their friends cannot come inside.

You are never suspicious of your dog's dreams.

Dogs dump only biodegradable waste.

Dogs don't need therapy to undo their bad socialization.

Dogs are not hung up on size.

Dogs don't criticize your friends.

Dogs are color-blind.

Dogs don't get drunk.

Dogs understand what No means.

Dogs are good with kids.

Dogs are happy with any video you rent, because they know the most important thing is that you're together.

Dogs do not play games with you - except Fetch. (And they never laugh at how you throw.)

You never wonder whether your dog is good enough for you.

Dogs do not have problems expressing affection in public.

Dogs have more important thing to do than watch the Super Bowl.

Dogs aren't threatened if you earn more than they do.

Dogs cry.

Dogs don't need a dogs' movement.

Dogs own up to their mistakes.

Dogs let you work the remote control... they're just happy to be allowed on the sofa.

The worst social disease you can get from a dog is fleas.

Gorgeous dogs don't know they're gorgeous.

Dogs obsess about you as much as you obsess about them.

Dogs don't make a practice of killing their own species.

Dogs are easy to buy for.

Dogs think you are a culinary genius.

Dogs don't weigh down your purse with their stuff.

Dogs don't mind if you do all the driving.

Dogs mean it when they kiss you.

Dogs don't feel threatened by your intelligence.

Dogs feel guilt when they've done something wrong.

Dogs admit when they're jealous.

Dogs don't brag about whom they have slept with.

Dogs take care of their own needs.

HOW DOGS AND MEN ARE THE SAME

Neither are interested in how your day was, but at least dogs don't pretend to listen.

Both have irrational fears about vacuum cleaning.

Both love relieving themselves in the great outdoors.

Neither likes shopping much.

Both like chasing ambulances.

Men take better care of frisbees...
...But dogs make more heroic catches.

Both are hard on plants.

Both like to travel in packs.

Neither of them notices when you get your hair cut.

Both like dominance games.

Neither tells you what's wrong.

Both tend to smell riper with age.

Both have an inordinate fascination with women's pants.

Both take up too much space on the bed.

The smaller ones tend to be more nervous.

Neither thinks you ever have to replace furniture.

Both are bad at asking you questions.

Both are threatened by their own kind.

Both like to chew wood.

It doesn't take a dog three hours to take a dump...
...But at least men don't do it right in front of the neighbors.

Both mark their territory.

Neither does any dishes.

Both fart shamelessly.

Both are suspicious of the postman.

Neither knows how to talk on the telephone.

Neither understands what you see in cats.

WHY MEN ARE BETTER THAN DOGS

Men have slightly better control over their libidos.

Men are better at taking their pills.

Men aren't scared of thunder.

Dogs have dog breath all the time.

Men only have two feet that track in mud.

Men don't eat cat turds on the sly.

Men can buy you presents.

Men don't have to play with every man they see when you take them around the block.<...

Ok, nearby where I am is a theater called Wayside Theater. It is a professional theater (Kathy Bates has performed there!) and every year it has a Playwrite's festival for middle & high schoolers.

Last year I entered and got 2nd place. This year, I entered again. AND I WON!!!! I JUST LEARNED TODAY THAT I WON!!!!

No, this is not a "DO THIS CRAP OR I'LL HATE U DIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" warning. This is kind of a practical note for my friends who wish to continue some sort of friendship with me in the future, either on or offline.

Girls, you all will understand my pain. Every month (since I was nine) I have suffered from SEVERE cramps. Yes, THOSE cramps. I know some of you lucky beeatches get them light. But I don't. And when I get them, (a) I can't function very well (sometimes I can barely walk) and (b) I am in the very worst of tempers when these cramps come about. So if you come to me when I have cramps and try to talk to me, more likely than not I'll bite your head off. Two of my guy friends have unfortunately experienced my cramp enduced rage. Don't worry, we managed to work through it.

The reason I'm posting this? Cuz my cramps started today and my medicine ain't helping much. I've already snapped at my mom. Luckily she ignored it. And I figured I may as well let y'all know so you can be prepared just in case I ever lash out at you.

Peace.

What? You think I should talk about you? This is MY journal!!! MINE! (XD)

Anyway, can you believe that in 3 weeks I'll turn 16? I can't believe it. Only a year ago I was turning 15! I've asked everyone to get me something foreign language related, but I would also take anything math or science. Of course, I'm still getting that frigging hope chest from my dad. (Anyone think I should put my bullwhip in it?)

Anyway, now it's on to the lists. If you want explanations of anything, feel free to ask.

*~*Good Things*~*
I got 100 on my last math test.
I now own 'Flushed Away' and 'Little Miss Sunshine.'
RIT is sending me all kinds of stuff about their school - including an application.
Mom has agreed to let me go for a certificate as a Veterinarian Assistant.
I completed a week in Communications & Journalism in DC.
Mom has also agreed to let me audition for American Idol next season.
ANTM's new season has begun. (Go Samantha!)
I keep an eye on auditions every day. There WILL be one I can do....someday....

*~*Bad Things*~*
Grandfather died. (You alread knew that one.)
My favorite cousin is in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. As far as I know, she's on life support.
My Philosophy midterm is tonight. I'm scared.
So far, most auditions are either too far away or they are for 18+ people. >_<

Yay! The good outweighs the bad!
