I know that for a lot of people here on DA, summer started a long time ago.. but for me, summer's only REEALLY starting next week because i still have summer school. TT__TT i think our last day is on wednesday? waaa im soo happyyy!

im geting stressed out because of this hamlet rap we have to do for class. yes, hamlet, shakespeare hamlet! waaa did i do anything soo wrong to deserve this?

and oh I waited for 2 long weeks and YES! it's finally out! onepiece chapter 550! *happy dance* haha im such a man but i dont care xD im in love with this series. i honestly can't wait for the next chapterr. they better save my sexy ace or else! >=O


im suffering from an art depression =__= i wouldn't really call it an art block because i seriously have like a million things i want to draw right now. it's just that, i've somehow lost all confidence in my art skills. Although my drawings now look better than the ones l did before, they still look like shit to me. i honestly think that being a critical monster is good because i'll get to improve faster. but when i look at my arts, i get reeallly depressed. the only way to escape this art depression is to practice till i become satisfied with my skills. but theen, i cant even draw properly right now since my depression is draining all my motivation. GAAAHH! i honestly don't know what to do with myself right now!

i don't even know if any one reads my journals since im just a nobody on DA. but i have this little wish that keeps me a bit motivated to draw despite this horrible art depression. it's funny but my wish is to someday become a DA artist whose little journal entries like these matter to people.

im over my childhood dreams of being a manga-ka, an illustrator, graphic novelist, animator, game designer or anything of the sort. I've realized that i can't go into the arts field since I need a job that will support me well financially. And because of that, i want to at least do commissions and become an awesome DA artist. yea, i know, in my dreams! xD

anywaayss.. my plan on starting a manga or at least a webcomic before i turn fifteen seems to be going well xD i now have a storyline that i'll actually stick with. but its long.. verrrryy long. so far i wrote half of all the chapters, and they're enough to make 4 volumes, because its 4 chapters per volume right? i know it's a bad idea to make one this long, but i will try my best to stick to this story. i know i should do a shorter one but *sigh*. now, all i have to do is write out all the scripts and the storyboards/roughdrafts and then keep on drawing until my drawings become a bit presentable.

my story's storyline is vvveerry random. it's in the shoujo/romance and comedy genre. and finally, there's actually a plot xD and the characters arent japanese cuz before, i wrote a story with japanese characters and a million people like started flaming and reprimanding me. *sigh* the names are a lil bit japanese though, if u think about it really really carefully. some of the names are rainie (reini), zen, zaile, ceri (seri), eura (yura), enzo, kione (pronounced kion but if u pronounce every syllable it sounds japanese --> Ki-o-ne), Phayne, Nico (niko), kyrie (kayri), kaisha, zola, tara and etc. soo yeah, a lot of the names are sorta japaneshhey. the story line is very funny xD kyaa...

i finished my boredom cg.. >.< i've been cging and drawing for half a year already o.O uggghh.. there's still so many things to learn.. last night when i was working on this [link] i learned soo MANY new stuffs... i cant believe that after half a year, i 've only came to fully understand locks and layers last night!!! NYA!!! yay.. half a year lol.. it's only 4 months until my fourteenth bday "Nov 28"... T_T i feel old! and yikes.. i only have four months left to get better at drawing and cging so that by my fourteenth birthday, i'll be just as good as the other fourteen year old artists that i envy right now T_T rawr.. i'm competitive, it's another reason why i didn't finish all the requirements on purpose and didnt go to Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts; it's only gonna make me miserable, being around soo many awesome artists (doesn't really make a difference cuz i'm in DA and everybody is an awesome artist! but nyaa.... it's different if you're in an art school cuz u'll be graded and u'll be compared to everyone else. and that will make me feel very bad) o.O my friend, joyan, said that being very competitive is good cuz u'll become better and better but NO it's not good. it makes me feel emo and all depressed when i see that compared to everyone else, i suck soo much. i'm trying to make a progress sheet.. but the one that i started last night ended up in the trash can cuz i hated it >.< and speaking of my progress, i'm not satisfied.. it's too slow >.> but anyways, i'd like to thank everyone in gaia (^_^;; i only ask for constructive criticisms and posts my arts here in gaia sometimes cuz whenever i do, people start asking me for commissions and i cant say no cuz i just can't and then they make me draw boring stuffs that drain out my inspiration and drawing mojo, and then i end up making up an excuse for not doing it, and then i'll feel really bad for lying and then i'll turn emo for a couple of days >.>, the people in DA, my friends and especially Dylan for helping me get better and better dylan is the one person who deserves alot of credit for my progress. so thank you! he supported me all the way. well, he's not really that good of a supporter cuz he always say things like "you suck, that's ugly, her tie looks like a banana, her hair is stiff and looks like a broom, her face is demented" but he stayed by my side anyways even though i'm annoying, loud, girly and needs help with every single things (>.<;; that's what he said; i'm annoying T_T). and dylan is also my drawing sensei (yikes, my drawing teacher is only a year older than me o.O ) and bestfriend! he was also the reason why i started drawing and the one who makes me feel better and comfort me when i'm emo and the one who gives me back my self confidence whenever i lose it and is about to give up on everything. last night, i was at his place finishing my cg and we were partying with a couple of friends because yesterday was also the day that i met him k here's our story.. nyaa.. I haven't uploaded my journal for the longest time!!! Sooo.. what's up with my stupid life? kyaa, i have no idea >.< but heey, my old happy-go-lucky hyper self finally came back from hell and my emo self went on a vacation for the summer. o.O;; hmm, wth am i talking about..
k.. my last journal was june 23rd, right? well, ever since then, i've gotten a lot of things taken care of but i was just too lazy to type.. actually, i was too lazy to do anything so my To-do list is getting longer and longer everyday.. not to mention my new part time job and the 100 challenges >.>;;
Yes, i have a new part time job.. it's editting mangas and stuffs.. and i also work for Animex Animations company now.. busy busy.. i'm thirteen and i'm already busy, i can already imagine how busier i'm gonna be when i grow up!

I'm gonna talk about the stuffs that happened, one by one.. (ohnoes, this will take a while)
First, my parents and i finally talked about me being a mangaka or an artist. It took about an hour to get things straightened out. So, the results.. I'm going to be a dentist since they want me to be in the medical field but i'm scared of blood. And before i study as a dentist, i'll be taking a course on either the graphic design or the japanese class. But i want to take the japanese class, and if i become a very good student, the Rotary Youth Exchange Program might even let me go to Japan and give me a scholarship or something. and then after i come back from the exchange program, i'll study to be a dentist... one or two years after being a dentist, i will move to Japan and be a dentist there. And then that's when i'm going to have a part time job as a mangaka assistant. and then after that... that's when i'm going to be making a choice of being a full-time manga-ka working for a certain magazine or stay as a dentist. well, if i can be a part time manga-ka that would be great too.
And about the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. i know it's going to be expensive >.< i researched. but i so want to be an exchange student.. and anyways.. as i was researching about it last night, i came up with a new manga story and started writing. hmm, this is how my life is now.. when i'm not on the computer cging or editting scanlations, i'll be drawing.. if i'm not drawing then, i'm writing stories. I barely have time to even reply to comments and notes now. I still have about 13 comments and 8 notes waiting for replies.. i'm sorry, it might take some time for me to reply, i'm so busy! even this journal thing, i wrote this on paper before typing it out here in the computer >.<
Soo, my new manga stories.. i didn't give them titles yet.. (yes they're in the shoujo manga stories category, got a problem?) The first one is going to be about this sixteen yrs. old (actually when she came to japan, she was fifteen but she celebrated her birthday there so yeah!..) girl from canada.. She becomes an exchange student and goes to Japan to learn stuffs like the culture and language and to be a manga-ka assistant (yay she wants to be a mangaka!!). i researched a lot about them last night *falls asleep then wakes up after a couple of minutes* anyways... Her parents were against her going to japan but she still went anyways and in japan, she gets to stay with a weird host family. She stays with this old lady and a Female manga-ka who only volunteered to be a host family so that she'll get an extra assistant >.<;; and plus, she figures that this manga-ka(she's only 22!!) is actually a HE and behind all his goofy acts and laughter is a dark past wanting to be forgotten.. and then comes this mangaka's nephew who's not only cute but seems to have so much hatred for his parents and everyone (he also has a dark past, that's why his uncle (the mangaka) adopted him). And then there's the manga-ka's unpredictable assistant and the main char's english teacher that she always have problems with.. Also comes another exchange student who started having interest in her but she can't really do anything about it cuz she likes someone in canada and not to mention the manga-ka's nephew >.< gaahh, so many problems.. and as i said, her parents were against the exchange thingy. Actually, in Canada she lives with her very young mom (her mom's only 31 and she's 16!!) and a step dad. guess what? Heya.. i haven't updated my journal for such a long time.. but yay, i'm not as emo as i have been before.. but >.< yeah, i still a lil bit emo.. things are a lil better too but some things just never change... my parents are still against me on drawing and pursuing an artist's/manga-ka's path. it's my dream but is it really my fate to be a manga-ka? i guess i shouldn't be believing in fate and destiny because as everybody else says "The future is in our own hands" but... uwaah!

Supposedly, i was going to Anime North today. If you don't know what it is, it's this hugeass anime convention that is held for three days a year. I guess i can't go this year.. i'm really really disappointed. i was supposed to meat Jaycee, my friend from gaia today. But i've let her down! i'm really REALLY sad! plus, my sister was supposed to get me chucks last thursday but she didn't. and then my parents was yelling at each other last night. what is going on in my life? what disappoints me even more is that, my dad doesn't seem to want me to draw at all. i don't fit in with my family at all. actually, i don't fit anywhere. neither of my parents really care about me. neither does my siblings. they all want me to disappear. why does it seem like my life is falling apart? my grades are dropping and the guy that i've given my heart to doesn't seem to notice me any more than just as a friend. he doesn't even know how i feel about him. i just dont seem to have the courage to tell him the truth. the sad truth. what even more suck is that he likes my best friend joyan! i don't even know if joyan's my friend at all.. i don't even know if the friends i have are my true friends. i have a friendship that is full of bullshit. everyone's hating each other from the back and no one even cares how the others feel. i'm in the middle of a clique in which i can't get out of. why do i always have to make choices? how do i know if i'm choosing the right choices. and more over, how i can i choose choices for myself when i know that the choices for myself is going to affect everyone around me? why am i surrounded by all these choices of popularity and succession? i choose a choice to make some of the most important people in my life happy but then i see that the other side, i made even more miserable than they already are. my life sounds like a start of a new horrible manga story. but eeh NO, who cares about my life? i'm just this weird-looking short girl who lives in a dream where she was able to make her own manga. i'm just a girl who lives in everybody's lies. just a girl who lives in her dreams that would never come true.

lol, today i ran out to get new pencil crayons cuz my old pencil crayons just doesn't have plenty of colours to choose from. Well, i went to wallmart and looked for new art supplies. i only had 20 bucks! T_T soo i bought roseart pencil crayons which is only 6.99 cuz the other ones like Prang cost like 20 something. lol, don't make fun of my cheapness. lol, and then i went to the DOLLARAMA to get some more mechanical pencils, new ink pen, new pencil case, new pens and paperclips. lol, all of them are like a dollar each i'm such a crazy artists xD i'm supposed to get the BEST supplies but i got like crappy cheap ass supplies. LOL

I REALLY appreciate everyone's comments here.. And thank you for those cool people who helps me get better at this by giving me constructive criticisms.. AND most especially those awesome people who gives me encouraging compliments.. i'm giving you a round of applause!! like waah~!!! I LOVE YOU PEOPLE!!!WOOT!!! lmao!! wow, i think i'm scaring a lot of people now lol, i'm soorry but scaring people is my talent. so yeaah! i'm going to work twice as much and i promise to finish my first CG art today. no more excuses.. i still dun have photoshop!!! soo i'm using jasc paintshop for now. lol!

BLLAAHH~! I just finished my first CG art. but i won't be posting it here yet.. i'm gonna have to print it then scan it to this computer cuz i edited it in our old computer.. Apparently, our old computer doesnt write in CDs, only in floppy disks but our new computer (this one) doesn't have a floppy thingy. This computer only accepts CDs. Everything's completely messed up right now. <.< i said that there's not gonna be any excuses. This one isn't an excuse, it's a fact.

AND SO.. since i'm determined to be an artist.. i promise myself at least one art or drawing finished each day.

I also made my mom open me my own bank account. You just never know when i will need it. I'm still going to save money though... I need them for my art supplies. I'm going to need the BEST art tools. lol, i'm soo demanding and picky! neways, i was thinking of getting a huge box of PRANG pencil crayons. and a lot of copic markers.. >.<


And oh.. I'm trying to put dates on all of my arts now. It might come in handy in the near future.. I'd also like to compare them! ]]> ~Roxchan
