Borrowed from <lj user="-ek-">.

1. The first character you fell in love with:
Bob. Because Bob is just that awesome. He's an amazingly competent and intelligent goofball. There's nothing arrogant or bossy about him, he just knows his stuff and does his job. Since he's only allowed to be badass 10min at a stretch, he never takes himself too seriously. He's just <3 all around. ^^

2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now:
Mouse. Hated her with a passion when she was first introduced, but she grew on me. Quickly.

3. The character everyone else loves that you don’t [like as much]:
Matrix. I don't get it.

4. The character you love that everyone else hates:
Mike the TV. Honestly, I think the little guy is cute.

5. The character you would <strike>shag</strike> hug anytime:
Bob. ^^

6. The character you'd want to be like:
I wish I had a bit more Dot in me. I AM fairly organized, but I lack her amazing confidence and ability to do pretty much anything (except relax! XD ).

7. The character you'd slap:
Matrix, for most of Season III and Dot for most of Season IV.

8. A pairing that you love:
Dot/Bob. I am also secondarily fond of Ray/Mouse. ^^

9. A pairing that you despise:
Bob/Mouse. Sorry, no. Mouse is a flirt and a tease, yes, and Bob seems comfortable around her, but even with Season II's legendary kiss, I'm just not seeing it. The chemistry isn't there. There is no romantic interest. Maybe there was at one time, but it ain't there now.

10. Favorite character:
Bob.

11. What are your five favorite things about the fandom?
1 - The fact that it is REALLY REALLY _SMALL_ and therefore relatively free of most of the usual fandom weirdness.
2 - The fans that ARE there ROCK SO MUCH.
3 - The devotion to the show and respect for the characters.
4 - There isn't much fic or art, but the stuff that IS out there is unusually good.
5 - People want to see the show come back and are taking active steps to revive it.

12. What are your five least favorite things about the fandom?
1 - The computer purists who try to argue code and mathematics at every turn.  >_<;
2 - Clashing head-canon.  There are a lot of cliques in the fandom and while they get along reasonably well with one another, the fact that some of these people accept the various malarkey as fanon makes my head hurt.  ><;
3 - Hackneyed crossovers.
4 - The Canadian purists who look down on those from the lower 48.
5 - It's actually a difficult group to elbow your way into.  Alas, I was late to the game since I didn't get 'net access until 1995 and it was heavily monitored.  Also, most of the friends that I hung out with on the boards aren't there anymore soooo I don't have anyone I know to play with.  ;_;

13. Who are your five favourite characters (in order!)?
1. Bob
2. Dot
3. AndrAIa (Season II)
4. Megabyte
5. Hexadecimal
6. Enzo (Seasons II & III- because the little guy doesn't get enough love)

14. Who are your five least favorite characters?
1. Backup (WHO WAS SMOKING WHAT OMG?!)
2. Capt. Robert Cursor (gwuh)
3. Matrix (OH LORD SOMEBODY SLAP HIM ALREADY)
4. Daecon (mandress = no)
5. Clown User (that thing was freaky...but I guess that wass the idea)

15. What are your five favorite pairings?
I'm not sure there ARE that many in canon. >_>; Let me see...
1. Dot/Bob
2. Ray/Mouse
3. Enzo/AndrAIa (Season II)
4. Matrix/AndrAIa (Season III and IV)
5. Princess Bula/Spekky (Geek Love!)
Yup, that JUST makes five.

16. What are your five least favorite pairings?
1. Dot/Megabyte
2. Bob/Mouse
3. Dot/Ray
4. Ray/AndrAIa
5. Dot/Mouse (no, you don't want to know)

17. Which character are you most like?
Err... Probably Miss Brody.

18. What is your deep, dark fandom secret?
...I miss WEB Bob. What? Scars are sexy, okay? <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/letters/=p.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":P" title=...

It was illustrated by a woman named Jesse Spicer Zerner (any info on her would be welcome, btw). The odd thing is, a LOT of the illustrations in TBBoMG bear more than a passing resemblance to the beautiful watercolors of the Grahame-Johnstone sisters.

See what I mean?

Most of them are somewhat less than subtle, and the bulk of the images seem to have been lifted from the Dean Fairy Tale books.

Thoughts? Madame Andromeda's Guide to The Wearing of Corsets and Stays

1.	Corsets and Stays: What Be The Difference?
Stays date from the late Fifteenth Century through the Eighteenth Century. They were smaller and lighter in construction than the modern corset. Stays were most commonly made of canvas and fitted with either wood or whalebone. These were laced down the back and sides and were ALWAYS worn underneath the outer clothing; thusly considered undergarments.

Corsets did not come into fashion until the Seventeenth Century and survived until the turn of the Twentieth Century. These were generally of canvas covered with more ornate fabric such as silk or brocade and fitted with greater quantities of wood, whalebone, and later steel. Again, such garments were laced down the back and were ALWAYS worn beneath the outer clothing.

2.	The Placing of Thy Corset
With few exceptions (strumpets) corsets and stays are to be worn beneath one’s gown. A lady of good moral character doth not show her underclothes in public. What of the working woman’s bodice, you say? Thou hast answered thine own question. A bodice is just that: the upper portion of a gown. As such, it may be displayed in public without disgrace.

3.	Lacing Thy Corset
Ladies of quality and high morals do always lace their corsets from the top down, knotting the strings at the bottom. Only women of loose character (strumpets) shall knot their corsets at the top.

4.	Displaying Thy Virtues
The purpose of a corset is to support thy feminine virtues en lieu of a brassier, to keep thy back straight, and thy waist trim. As such, if one’s bosoms should hang down over one’s corset, there is a most grievous concern. Contrarywise, if one’s bosoms be so compressed that one cannot see past them, there is also a most lamentable problem. No one is questioning thy status as a woman. Bosoms are remarkable to be sure, but it is indeed quite possible to have too much of a good thing.

Here are some misfortunes common to improper corset wearing:

-	The Bureau Misfortune
This mishap occurs when thy chest shall hang down into thy drawers. If such a misfortune should occur, thy corset is most likely either cut too low or is laced too loosely to provide the necessary support. We recommend either a different cut of corset, or a tighter lacing.

-	The Canyon Misfortune
Akin to the Bureau Misfortune, such an error refers to the lengthy line of cleavage visible above thy décolletage. This is mainly due to a combination of an over-loose lacing and an over-large chemise. We do recommend a slightly tighter lacing and a chemise with a neckline that be not quite so low.

-	The Balcony Misfortune
So named because one could balance a tray of ale upon thy heaped cleavage, and even the meanest tavern wench would not be pleased to go about thusly. Such a tragedy occurs when thy corsets are either too tightly laced, or are too small entirely. We recommend either a more generous cut of corset, or a looser lacing to remedy this most grievous faux pas.

5.	The Wearing of Thy Corset
Most proper stays and corsets do lace up the back or sides. As such, it would be advisable to have a ladies maid assist thee in thy dressing.

Firstly: Don thy chemise. Going without a chemise would not only be extremely uncomfortable, but also dirty and scandalous. Corsets are difficult to wash, as such, wear a chemise for thy comfort and thy convenience. Plain cotton is far easier to launder.

Secondly: Don thy corset, making sure that it is neither too long nor too short for thy torso. A too short corset my cause thy bosoms to sag, and a too long corset may chafe beneath thy arms.

Thirdly: Adjust the shoulder straps accordingly, should your stays or corset possess them. Be sure that they are neither too long nor too short. Short straps will pull upon thy neck and underarms, and long ones will do little else but slip off thy shoulders.

Fourthly: Have thy ladies maid lace thy corset down the back; beginning at the top and knotting at the bottom. Do not pull it tight just yet. Have her lace it as far as she may and pull the strings so that it is slightly snug. If thy costume shall include a busk, now would be the time to put it in place. Tug thy chemise into position and adjust thy virtues so that they will be supported properly. This is best done by leaning forward a few degrees and “fluffing” thy bosoms with thy hands.

Fifthly: Thy chemise and virtues in place, have th...

Like, a lot.

This is not the first time she has done this to me. About two years ago she keeled over and I had to reformat. Didn't lose anything either time (except my Kiseke dolls, but at least those are replacable), but this time, she ain't gettin' back up. I tried reformatting her again but she keeps blue-screening and pleading hardware issues tho she is not specific as to what. After an interior examination it seems she has a damaged motherboard. Whether this was a pre-existing condition (possible due to her previous crash) or she was damaged in shipping her out here (possible, but unlikely as she was fine for almost a month) is unknown. Either way, until I can get her new parts, she will be out of comission. Which means there will be no more updates for a while. Sorry. :\

Fortunitely I have my trusty, dusty old 1998-vintage laptop Penelope. She's only got a 5 gig harddrive so all she's really good for is checking email and typing fic. I can't ask her to try to scan or run an image editing program. The last time I did that she burst into tears. (No, seriously. >>; )

Soooo until I can scrape together $150.00 to replace Emmy's motherboard, I won't be able to add any new art, which is a shame 'cause I've got quite a few things I want to scan and post.

Ah well. I'll get her up and running again eventually. :\

So I got a nastygram in the form of a comment on one of the Incredibles fics I have posted on FF.net. The fic which received the undeserved spitenote was Shining Armor.

The comment is as follows:
"Please stop r.a.p.i.n.g canon. No one wants to read this s.h.i.t. Do the world a favor and play in heavy traffic."

The epitome of maturity, no? I particularly like how she broke up the letters with periods in order to avoid the profanity filters. Ladies and gents, this is why people don't post stuff to ff.net anymore.

Wait, it gets better.

Apparently Ms. Omnipotent_One_RPB_7 is actually a dummy account only used for commenting (likely so she can avoid getting her ass flamed/reported/ousted) and the actual stories are posted under Red_Panda_Bear.

*ahem*

Dear Ms. Omnipotent One/Red Panda/What Have You,

I'm sorry you didn't like the fic. I can appreciate if my style or subject matter isn't to your taste. However, leaving comments that include profanity and accusations of compromising characters is unprofessional. Using alternate spellings to bypass the profanity filters is just plain immature.

If you don't like a pairing/sitation/theme, that's fine, but there is no reason to be either rude or obscene about it. This and all other stories I have written that take place outside canon are prefixed with "AU" (Alternate Universe) warnings that altert the reader to the fact that the contents of the fic is going to deviate from the events of the original source material. If that is a problem, I suggest the fic go unread.

However, you have inspired me to label my Incredibles fics a bit more concisely. They are meant to be read in a specific order. Should a reader look at the fics out of sequence, it can become confusing. As such, I will be adding numbers to the various titles in order to reduce confusion. Thank you for your inadvertant suggestion.

That being said, should you comment further in the future, it might behove you to make more constructive suggestions such as "I had difficulty following the flow of the narrative" or "your punctuation could use some work". Most authors are looking to improve their writing skills and as such, comments about the structure of the fic- not the content- are what fellow authors tend to value most. Comments containing profanity and insults to the author will earn nothing but the immediate dismissal of your opinions as anything but noise and reporting to the site administrators.

Further, it does not help you if you refrain from including your personal information on you FF.net account, yet list your life story on your LJ account which is linked to you various FF.net accounts. In this day and age, someone who has grown up with the technology really ought to know better than that. However, I now feel more amused than ever knowing that I have been wanked at by a sixteen-year-old child.

Regards

You know, it's been quite a while since I last got any hatemail from any forum- the last instance being a ridiculous "I don't like this pairing" remark on my DA account over the pic But A Dream. In which case, I let ya'll have at and there was much snark. I love snark. ^_^

Anyway, FF.net seems to be notably lacking in reporting/blocking/editing of comments/commentors, but steps are being taken to remove this nonsense from my account.

I tell ya, I needed I good laugh.

AZ is lovely, I has job (which is also good), aaaaaand I'm ready to take some more comissions! ^^

I've recently started taking costume requests.  If you want to see samples of my work, check out the Edna Mode, Sally, and Red Pirate dress photos in my gallery.  Yup, made all of those and a couple more besides.  Soooooo if anyone's interested in costumes- historical, anime, or otherwise- just lemme know.  :}

I want to do some more E/Incrediart but I'm kinda blanking at the moment.
Any suggestions?

So I'm sure most of you PIXAR/Disney fans have heard that the Disney-PIXAR thing is now permanent.
That's right folks, the reign of Eisner has ended and the grand and glorious new rule of Lasseter has begun.

Disney did not buy so much as _PAY_OFF_ PIXAR. This is one of Disney's brighter moves in recent years since without their 3D wonder, they wouldn't have a leg to stand on. The 7.5 million? "Please don't leave us!" money.

I have also heard that John will now be the new art and animation director.

People, the news seriously could not be better.
(Unless of course Tim Burton were on staff too...but I don't think that's likely to happen. Still, the mind wonders... PIXAR + Burton... Mmm....)
Anyhow, yet another secondhand fandom that a friend got me started on that I love, but don't know hugely much about yet. I know Suikoden In General, but I'm still hammering out the details of things.

One of the curious things about Suiko3 is the gender roles in Zexen. And it appears to be JUST Zexen with the other cultures sort of prodding them for it. I thought "now that's weird, I wonder why they're different?" I also wondered about the other female soldiers in the corps since I figured Chris couldn't be the ONLY girl.
And it just kinda snowballed from there.

Actually, not too much crack here, just mostly angst. Sweet angst, but angst nonetheless. You can find it under "Covered in Darkness - Karl". Brief fic that explores what might have happened if a certain fan character hadn't made it home. Centers mainly on E, Xerek, and the aforementioned fan charcter Karl.

To accompany it, I have two studies posted under Scraps: "CID - Karl", and "CID - Mourning".

It will all make more sense if you've read any of my other Incredific first.

Enjoy. ^^

Jack and Sally O'lanterns - Sadly, the photography is crapy, which is a shame because the finished product was truly impressive, IMHO.

Pumpkin Hill - I'm REALLY pleased with how this came out. I wish I'd taken a darker picture like this of the other two.

It is October and that means costume season!

What DID we do before Walmart and the Disney Store? I mean seriously, what DID we do?

I, myself, have never in my life had a store-bought costume and I intend to keep it that way. My mom loved to sew and she made my sister and I costumes (as well as other clothing) every year. Either that or I did something else "home-made" like a scarecrow or black cat. Long before the Disney Store, my mom made Sleeping Beauty dresses for my sister and I. (Mine was purple since my sister called dibs on blue and I was NOT going to be pink.) She also made me a Little Mermaid costume some years later. We still HAVE the danged things in storage somewhere, I think...

ANYhow, I've taken over my own costume making in recent years. Last year I did Sally (TNBC) and the year before, I made a "Celtic Pirate" costume. This year, the Pied Piper of Hamelin.

And in did come the strangest figure!
His queer long coat from heel to head
Was half of yellow and half of red;
And he himself was tall and thin,
With sharp blue eyes, each like a pin,
And light loose hair, yet swarthy skin,
No tuft on cheek nor beard on chin,
But lips where smiles went out and in—
There was no guessing his kith and kin!
And nobody could enough admire
The tall man and his quaint attire:
Quoth one: "It's as my great-grandsire,
Starting up at the Trump of Doom's tone,
Had walked this way from his painted tombstone!"

He advanced to the council-table:
And, "Please your honours," said he, "I'm able,
By means of a secret charm, to draw
All creatures living beneath the sun,
That creep or swim or fly or run,
After me so as you never saw!
And I chiefly use my charm
On creatures that do people harm,
The mole and toad and newt and viper;
And people call me the Pied Piper."
(And here they noticed round his neck
A scarf of red and yellow stripe,
To match with his coat of the selfsame cheque;
And at the scarf's end hung a pipe;
And his fingers, they noticed, were ever straying
As if impatient to be playing
Upon this pipe, as low it dangled
Over his vesture so old-fangled.)

Pics will be posted later this evening, hopefully.

I haven't been overly inspired to doodle anything of late.

Tried to draw some fanart on "Corpse Bride". The Bride's gown defies time period. It's c.1997 instead of 1897. I'm not sure what to do with it because it just doesn't look right. Ah well. I'll think of something. Eventually. Maybe I should just get comfortable drawing the characters frist. I can do a passable Victoria. Emily (the Bride) still needs a lot of work. I have yet to attempt Victor since I'm not too good at guys. Tho he's plenty bishi so perhaps I'll have better luck.
