It turns out here at college, I do have plenty of time to update. Too bad I don't have much of a point to!
Still looking for some new admins to fill a special post, called "Favorites Admin". What you'll do in this post is basically add all the Rumiko Takahashi fanart on dA to our favorites collection. I realize there's about 1 million pieces of art, and since new pieces are added daily, this may take a while. That's why there will be at least 3 Favorites Admins (your main admin here will try to do some adding as well). If more than 3 people volunteer to fill these posts, I will gladly add them. This post of "Favorites Admin" serves many purposes: 1) Helps spread and show our appreciation of Rumiko Takahashi and her work, 2) Will give both the favoriters and our club visitors a chance to see some nice work, 3) Makes the artists feel a little better about themselves by getting their work favorited.
There are, of course, a few guidelines for favoriting the fanart (must be Takahashi, must be appropriate, no screenshots, etc.) These will all be explained in my reply note, which brings me to this: If you wish to be made a Favorites Admin or if you'd like to help organize contests and increase participation please send a note to ~Kaching12 NOT TO THE CLUB with the subject "Club Admin". I'll follow with some more information on what you'd be doing, the guidelines for faving, and if you send a confirmation note back that you want to be an admin, then you'll get the password.


Inuyasha: The Final Chapter debuts in Japan October 3. But for those of you who don't live in Japan or speak Japanese... Inuyasha: The Final Chapter will be released simultaneously with the Japanese release for English-speaking internet-goers. Yes! Exciting! The new Inuyasha anime series will be streamed on Hulu and Viz's Shonen Sunday site in Japanese with English subtitles. No word yet on when the Viz dub will be out (I think we can safely assume it will indeed come out; I'd guess probably a year, at least). So remember, October 3 Which, coincidentally, is Richard Ian Cox (Inuyasha, Ranma)'s birthday.

Also reminding you that Rumiko Takahashi's new series, Kyokai no RINNE (known as just RINNE in English) can be read at [link] (although apparently non-US or Canadian servers have trouble accessing it :/ ) and Viz Media has announced that first volume compilation of RINNE will be out on October 20th.

How old is...?
-Okay, only 3 characters' ages have been explicitly revealed in Ranma 1/2, but using clues and common sense, we can figure out the ages of others. Ranma, Akane, Kodachi, Ryoga, Ukyo, Tsubasa Kurenai, and possibly Shampoo are 16. Kuno and Nabiki are 17 (I think Mousse might be 17 as well). Kasumi is 19. I seem to vaguely remember something about Dr. Tofu being 21, but I don't know if that's true or not. Genma and Soun are probably in their 40s. Happosai and Cologne are apparently more than 100 years old.

InuYasha
What's that fluffy thing Sesshomaru has?
-Possibly the most debated thing in InuYasha fandom. Here's the truth: an exaggerated piece of armor. Yes. When Takahashi was doing some preliminary sketches of Sesshomaru, she just drew the right shoulder bit too big, and decided she liked how it looked. And thus we have the fluffy thing. In the series, though, no one knows. It is apparently a part of Sesshomaru's body, but we don't know what part. A very odd thing is that it bleeds, so it must have blood vessels in it somewhere - so it can't just be all fluff. Many people believe it is a tail, but this is not confirmed, and it doesn't appear to actually be attached to... where a tail would be. In fact, in my observations, the fluffy thing doesn't seem to be attached to anything.

How old is...?
-In the entirety of the series, only one character's age is stated for certain. Kagome's. There is a lot of speculation and completely wrong information on the web about character's ages, so let me tell you this: all of this information comes from the published word of the creator, Rumiko Takahashi. So please believe it.
*In the cases of demon, it's their age in appearance and state of mind. They're likely several hundred years old, just look 15 or something.

There is ONE exception to this: contests for IDs and avatars. At no other time will unoriginal art be accepted for contests. Outside of contests, it's alright.
-Admins may enter contests, but most adhere to voting rules.
-Only members may submit art.
-Up to 3 pieces may be entered for each contest. If one piece is a comic, all separate pages count as one submission (together; this means that you can submit a comic of however many pages you want, it's the comic that counts as the item. Two more submissions can be made. However, if there doesn't seem to be any relation between the submission, they will be counted separately.)

Voting
-You do not have to be a member to vote.
-You may vote only once.
-Admins may vote.
-Clubs and organizations may not.
-You may not vote for your own deviation, but feel free to vote for someone else's.


Scoring
-Only votes made within the deadline will be counted. One month after voting ends, comments will be disabled.
-Any votes found to be breaking the voting rules will not be counted.


And the winners are...?
-The first place winner is the once who received the most votes. The 2nd place winner will be the admin's favorite. In the event the admin's favorite is the one with the most votes, the 2nd placer will be the one with 2nd most amount of votes. The 3rd place winner will normally be the one with the 2nd amount of votes, unless the admin's choice and 1st winner were the same.


Prizes?
-Currently, we have no way to give the winners any material or monetary prizes (i.e., subscriptions, statues, whatever).
-What we can give you is a commission, if you want it. Your commission will be done by unless you'd like to request a different administrator. Please look through the gallery of whatever administrator you're requesting a prize from to see if you like their style or not.
--1st place - one full color commission featuring 2 characters of your choice.
--2nd place - one full color commission featuring 1 character of your choice.
--3rd place - one black and white commission featuring 1 character of your choice.

It's anyone's guess when you'd get these, though. And is severely lacking in Photoshop skills, so your commissions will be low-tech (i.e., crayon, colored pencil, or marker, inked on paper).
And the admins will not be at all offended if you decline a commission offer.
And your commission characters must be one of Rumiko Takahashi's. We will tell you if they're not, or if we've never heard of them and have no visual aide for them.
