i wish i was anorexic bcoz i just blew off two hours just sitting down and not eating anything. a great way to kill time - animating. i really gotta think about not putting so many special effects in my stories before i start them and wonder why the hell they take so long. :/

Hi guys. I know im asking for something just so out of the blue, and at the risk of sounding like a complete asshole, I apologize for that.

Now, I have this Creative Writing assignment due in a few days, and I'd REAALLLY like to know what you think of it before I start illustrating it. It's supposed to be one of those 'just-so' stories, about why the spider spins webs. yeah. and its aimed at children too. I guess. Tell me if it's too weird for kids or anything haha.

Here we go!

A long time ago
In the land of insects
Lived a tiny little spider
and a few other pests

Now Spider was much
just like you or I
he wanted some friends
a chance to say 'Hi'

When he saw some creatures
who looked somewhat like him
he thought "I'll introduce myself
and then I'll fit in!"

He looked from afar
and from there did he see
a fly, a beetle, a ladybug
an ant and a bee

He saw how they talked
How they joked and they laughed
the joy that friendship brought
the kind he longed to have

He said "I wont regret
by backing out on this, it won't do me well.
I wonÂt be the face they'll forget,
No more hiding, Imma make me some pals.Â

He approached them slowly
For the sake of his rep
Each one of his eight legs

They wriggled and apologized

i think it's time i stop slacking round and start taking this "school" seriously. i mean i went this route because i wanted to work in this sort of industry someday and so far for the past modules i haven't been giving my 100%, or maybe even 70 for that matter, which may severe my chances of getting that diploma plus thing i've been aiming for. really gotta push myself if i wanna survive in poly and everything else. it cant be too hard right? i mean there're ppl who can juggle work, school all those stuff... and some even do their work AMAZINGLY..and manage to take care of their health and social life as well, so why can't I?

next block is Creative Storytelling, so I gotta read up a buncha storybooks or crank out a few fanfictions...or hell at least watch a few movies to get the best grade possible. wonder how it's gonna be like. Better put in more effort into it too, seeing as how it's gonna be the only thiing we'll learn for a month so i'll have no excuse to slack or do my work last minute and half-assed. :/

heading in the graphic novel route?

heyhey guys! im back and i'll be posting alot more stuff since I got a scanner again and I've found my wacom recently! In the meantime, i wanna tell you guys about something...

after being so stoked over iron man im considering starting my own little project. the idea has been in my head(and occasionally some miscellaneous pieces of paper) for a while now, but i only started thinking of drawing it in the traditional Marvel/DC style so it could be made into a live-action movie someday. So this is where you guys come in.

I need your help getting any and all information on how to draw good graphic novels. Like links to online comics or how-to-draw-graphic-novels webstes. How-to-write-fiction websites would also be really helpful. I'll be sure to include your names in the 'special thanks' section if I ever get this project to the big screen someday, haha.

And also, on an unrelated note, any good typical emoboy screennames or something? Myspace links would be good too. Also myspaces of pretty girls who have you in their 'friend zone'. Kinda studying human behaviour, for the hell of it.

Hopefully I'll be going back to school on the 20th, and I'm finally finished with with damn job(which isn't really so bad, except for the shitty management) so I've got like a week off until i'll be super busy having a life again. what should i do with this week? buff up so I can walk into the new school looking like fiddy? finish that animation i've been working on since september? revise my studies which i havent touched on in four months so i won't be left behind too much in school since i didnt go for the first month? learn guitar or piano songs so I can actually jam in public? YOU decide, america!

Hello people. Now that my O-levels(kinda like the SAT's or OWL's) are now officially over, this means that i no longer have to go to school, bringing my social life as we know it to an abrupt and bitter end. Instead of getting a job or doing something else worthwhile during my free time, i will unfortunately be more inclined to use the computer alot more often, which is good news for my watchers because i'll be submitting alot more to DA from now on. Plus I'd need a sh!tload of stuff to stuff into my portfolio for poly admission with, so i'll be drawing alot more. Damn, now I gotta take drawing seriously... Oh well, at least I still have music to be my hobby and just that.

While clearing out the stacks of worksheets I no longer need I came across various doodles I had long forgotten about. You can take a look at some of them here. 1) I hate most of my art, mostly those which aren't real-life interpretations...

2) If I didn't you'd still be seeing crap like [link] from me

3) The Incredibles DVD was the thing that made me get REALLY interested in cartoons. Pity I never gave a damn to see it in theaters... :C

4) I always draw things with the circle-and-crosshair method, and try as much as it is convienient to imagine my drawings in 3-d. I didn't do this so much last year, which is why most of my drawings SUCKED ASS unless i was lucky...

5) I also always draw things on my bed, or on a desk if im in school during class

6) Drawing hands are trickayy. I was worried about ripping off Danny Phantom or Invader Zim -style hands before but now I could care less...

7) I'm kinda uncomfortable when my drawings are shown off to people IRL. I wanna be known for other than clutching a pencil 24/7, ya know?

8) In 2005 my drawings SUCKED ASS, but even a little thing like [link] would take a hella long time to do but in turn I'd treat it like a masterpiece

9) I don't like anthros, but I do admit in my confused moments of 2002/3 I was once a furry, damn you Neopets! >:C

Ok, I had some trouble sleeping and when I finally did get to sleep I dreamt of Spongebob having a hard time to sleep and then he started pissing off gary whose head then looked like the snake from Jungle Book and then after a while he wakes up from trying to sleep and screams "KIIIIIIILLLLLLL MEEEEEEEEE' and Squidward was sleeping but then he woke up coz he heard it and when he woke up he had a little spiked wrecking ball thing in his hand and jumped out of bed and got out of bed and kneeled on the ground and did a few 360 spins while hovering slightly over the ground while foaming at the mouth with an insane look in his eyes and then went on about "finally finally" started to really get into it when he became less insane and 'thought rationally' to "destroy Spongebob by cutting off the bottom part of his forehead which is really his eyebrows or lashes or something and says this while holding a pair of baby D-shaped scissors and shit...

Oh well, at least I only slept for an hour...

Oh yeah, and before that I dreamt about a decapitated cockroach head on my bed, while the body was on the wall, and the head had superbatshitcrazy long attenaes that could still control its body....

Now when i play flash IN the flash program, the sound i put syncs up perfectly, but when i press 'ctrl+enter', the second half of the audio goes way off.. anyone know why please please tell me... [link] is what i mean. The sound is on a different layer as the graphics and the graphics or their layers contain no sounds...

Well, after noticing a new trend here on DA, I finally decided to join in once I saw tag me... So here are some other people I'd like you to know aboot who I haven't mentioned before/arent as famous as they should be..

- Always liked her drawings for some reason, well, at least the non-slash ones... :/
- Probably the most down-to-earth guy on DA, and his drawings never seizt(sp?) to crack me up
- If you like Tim Burton you'll love JollyRotten!
- Hasn't updated for a while, but when he does you won't be disappointed!
Otherwise known as Ed Skudder, the guy whose flash "The New Guy" taught me some animation basics
This guy has some mad drawing skills, and even has his own animated series! And get this, he's only 16... Hot damn...

Okay, so now that I've tagged some people, I guess I can talk aboot something else that's been bothering me all week...South Park! yes, that again... I can't believe I've been missing out on this great show for all these years! Sure, it would have messed me up if I saw it as a kid, but it's not like I'm any less messed up now anyways! (The Scott Tenorman ep. was abit overboard, though...)

Oh, and here goes... Oh boy...

1) I have messy, messy hair, which I can sucessfully hide from my parents and teachers when I push it down. I loe my messeh hair.

2) I'm not very fond of growing up. Everyone gets uglier when they grow older, eh, that's just my two cents.

3) I got interested in cartoons because of THE INCREDIBLES. I'm such a dork.

4) I often overestimate myself, but act like I underestimate myself. I regret this quality of mine.

5) I hate it when certain songs ALWAYS rhyme 'girl' with 'world' and make it so damn obvious. It drives me phsycotic.

6) I feel victorious and powerful whenever I kill a cockroach. The little bugger.

South Park / Ice Age 2 aaaand Robots...

Well, Thank you Tom Cruise, Issac Hayes and Scientology for bringing my attention to South Park, to which now I am a very big fan of! Once I saw the scientology episode on the superficial.com, I was hooked... Heh, I never really liked the show before... I thought it was just little kids cussing around, but it really is so much more than that! The little cussing kids is just to balance out the show from being too cutesy... And having watched the movie, I have to say I've never been so obsessed with a musical since A Goofy Movie, and that was what...ten years ago? Heh, though I probably watched it around 5 years back... I mean, I always wanted CVvsST to be a musical if it were a movie, but now not so much... But eh, whatever happens happens... Fuck I'm (badly) singing along to the songs right now... Dammit. heh, my favourite is the one where we finally see what happens when Kenny dies... It's so cruel and wrong...you gotta love it! I wish I had known about them sooner, though... But these damn Singaporean programmers wouldn't air it (and still don't)... Not even the trailers dammit, while I vividly remember Tarzan's(the same year, 1999)... I guess Singaporeans aren't so cool with swearing... Hell, even the Canadians(who were mocked most in the film) allowed the movie to be aired, and with a lower rating too! Man...

And now for Ice Age 2, the pictures looked really nice compared to the first one, and even Scrat was less annoying... Although I would've swore he's be resurrected on that volcano island thing when we last saw him in 2002, but hell, at least he interacted with the other characters for once... Hehe, and Ellie thought Manny was a pervert... Just gotta love that stuff in kid's movies, eh? I don't know why people are so pissed with Diego for being afraid of the water... I bet these are the same people who didn't like Alex eating fish... The point is, sabre-toothed tiger or lion, in the cartoon world they're bound to behave sometimes like cats rather than wild animals, especially since they're friends with their natural prey... And Food, Glorious Food and that Sloth sacrificial song were awsome... I love it when people sing about creepy stuff like death and decaying so happily... It makes meh feel good inside...

heh, too bad I was still obsessed with the South Park movie I just watched about 2 days ago, so unfortunately Ice Age 2 was kinda shadowed by it(lols at high-definition CGI losing out to 'cardboard' CGI, but that's not always the case)... But it's still a pretty solid movie, maybe better than the first, even... I liked how they were all one big happy family in the end... It's just nice to have happy endings in animated movies ya know? *cough*cough*notlikecorpsebride*corpse*cough*

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go youtube more South Park goodness!

EDIT(10/4): And I just watched Robots, yeah, I liked it. I liked it alot! Can't see why so many people didn't though... And I can't say much about it without giving too much away, but it was still pretty good, around 8/10 maybe!

Cleanin' Out The Closet / Scraps Updating / Younge

Now after some thinking these past few(two?) days, I think I'll make him a real cat, not a human..thing... But of course since this is a cartoon he'll still have a human like body... Just think Rocko or Arthur or Loony Tunes... Besides, it's not like I'm planning anything big for him, he'll just be a character to put all of my emo humour in... And since he's not so great, it wouldn't make much sense for him to spontaniously turn into a wildcat for no reason... Isn't it STRANGE that Channel 5 keeps airing "Chicken Run" in the most innapopriate times? Take for example the last time, when the bird flu thing was a hot topic in Singapore, and now they air it when the year of the Rooster is over... The movie itself was great though... I'm actually glad they didn't look like real chickens now, since if I had seen that 6 years ago(OMG six fuckin years!) I probably wouldn't be eating chickens today...

transfer images/files from a K700i to the PC? It didn't come with a wire or anything... And I dont have internet on my phone...so how do I do it?!?!

Just finished watching it again, and I gotta say, it's ALOT better the second time... Alright, maybe because this time I didnt watch it on my PC, but because I'd already watched it I already knew how long some parts were gonna be, so in fact, the movie seemed pretty damn long! The style is great, animation is awsome, and the story was pretty damn DAMN good too.. Plus I wasn't expecting much from Hanz Zimmer after his Shark Tale "score", so he completely blew me away with his score for this one... You know what? I think this movie is gonna be my favourite for a while... Wow. I remember when I thought movies couldn't get any better than THE INCREDIBLES ever could, and Madagascar probably isn't, but right now, to me it is, kinda...temporaryly at most... Damn, I also remember bashing how awful this movie looked(the stylistics) a year ago... I guess Animator's DO know what they're doing... Except for maybe those on Hoodwinked, because either they're lazy or the producers are cheap...

And from what I'm getting so far, it's pretty damn schweet... 'Specially since I only downloaded this because Mozilla windows kept being bitches and "vibrating" on screen... And Internet Explorer doesn't have tabbed browsing, which I now NEED!!! I'm glad Opera is fucking fast..

Meh, I wrote a song about my previous class, and yes, it's crappy and depressing, but if I ever make a video of it, it'll have a happy ending...
