And when it comes to trips, I CAN awake early. (Rare, but true.)
So I was up bright and early at 6 am. Ok, I take that back... It wasnt even bright. It was dark. Still before the sunrise.

So I got me a bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats and watched TV. (I got to see that new Pooh and Tigger show. Yay 3D Hundred Acre Wood!)

We departed the falls at approximately 7:20. A bit behind of our initial mark of 7 sharp, but not bad.

A nice relaxing trip as we got to drive, practically chasing the Sunrise on our way to Oklahoma. The trip was eased with music, of course... So far a nice mix of My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Ace of Base, and Linkin Park.
Then again, good music was a given, considering the sole purpose of this trip is to hit up Arcades for Music Games. (DDR, PIU, DrumMania, etc)

Around 9 or so, we stopped in Lawton (about 45 minutes out of Wichita Falls... Only a few minutes from the Red River border) and had a nice breakfast of Pancakes and Eggs at the local Cracker Barrel.
It was the first time I actually went to one to eat. Pretty nice place... Very nice antiquated atmosphere. I liked it.

Afterwards, we hit up the Lawton Mall to catch a few rounds of In The Groove in their little Hole-in-the-Wall arcade.
...or not. To our surprise (for the SECOND time, as the last time we went, we expected DDR 5th mix, but got ITG.) they had replaced the game we expected.
...but for the better! We found a nice 50 cent machine of DDR Supernova. The clostest GOOD Bemani to Wichita Falls we've found yet. (But at 45 minutes away, it's still a bitch.)
So we milked the hell out of that for a while. By 12, we hit the road again, music blaring and crusing on our way to Oklahoma City.

We arrived at our destination, the glorious Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma City. This was the first of our intended stops, but certianly not a disappointment.
We went to the familiar alcove where the DDR SuperNova and In The Groove cabinets resided. We went to dancing.
I started with the DDR, and Markell took the other.
Now, I had informed him, as I had heard but not yet played, that the ITG machine had some older DDR song in it's repretoire due to Konami's aquisition of Roxxor in that lawsuit... But I soon noted that I was severly mistaken.
Oh no, the machine still had the DDR songs as I thought... But it wasnt a "few older songs" as I had come to believe...
No, on top of the original ITG and ITG2 songs... This machine had EVERY song from EVERY SINGLE DDR mix in EXISTANCE. We're talking SuperNova, ALL US and JP console releases, Strike, Party, Festival, all the Dancing Stages, all the XBox Ultamixes, even the brand new DDR Universe from the XBox 360.
This machine put anything I've ever played, including the shiney new SuperNova unit next to it, to shame.
I think I melted right there. Goddess, what I wouldnt give to have that thing locally.
Soo... Konami suing Roxxor and requisitioning the rights to In The Groove... Death of Originality, or Best Move Ever?
We unanimously decided on the latter.

Around 4, we were well out of dancing stamina, and rather hungry again. Not to mention that we've run out tokens. So we cruised down to the other end of the mall to visit a Mexican restauraunt reccomended to us by one of the arcade attendants.
A small authentic, locally owned place called Picoses.
It was surprisingly good. I enjoyed it. Though it seems that we overstuffed, so DDR was again out of the question.

So we loosened our belts a couple notches and migrated to the famed Cactus Jack's Emporium of Fun.
The sun was setting as we arrived, but it certianly didnt announce a closure to our day just yet. Upon entering, we noticed the lack of business, and proclamed our fears that Bemani may be losing it's excitement in this city...
We were a bit shaken when we noticed that all the cheesy Ski-Ball machinese took the front place away from DDR's popular resting place. S0 we explored a bit.
...we discovered a gold mine.
Not only did they move the DDR machine to the back (along with their Percussion Freaks, BeatMania, and GuitarFreaks), but it seems that they added a few games, much to our excitement. They appeared to have recently aquired a newer version of Pump It Up Zero and brought in a Keyboard Mania 3rd Mix.
I think I melted again. We rushed up and got tokens.

Of course, all my time was nearly consumed by DrumMania (Percussion Freaks) and Keyboard Mania, a game that I've missed SOOO much. I finally replied to the stuff that I havent for this week... Just didnt use the computer much. xD

Alllsooo... I FINALLY colored and scanned my art! So I've got 4 new peices (enough to completely refresh that new works box) for you all to scoff at. ^__^

Anyway... lets start with Tuesday...
Since that was my "Friday", I went to Johnny's house again...
Only a few people were there... But thanks to Robby's BRILLIANT suggestion (I'm being vicetious here), we got pretty trashed.
Ok, so we played the "fuck" game. (That's the game where you watch a movie and take a drink every time they say 'fuck'
Unfortunately, we played it to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Surprisingly, they say it more times in that then even in Boondock Saints. In fact, we all went through 2 beers each in the first 10 minutes of the movie alone. (You know... Jay's Fuck Song.)
So, yeah... I had 14 beers in total... beating everyone out. Good night.

Wednesday was kinda boring... Worked a double... But it was somewhat busy, so I made decent money. Went over to Johnny's with Kodey... Played a lot of Guitar Hero. I still kick ass. ^_^
Unfortunately Johnny wound up getting a concussion when he got kneed in the head during a demonstration of the 'Flying 69' with Tim...
He actually wound up losing his memory of about an hour around the incident... That wasn't good...
Later, he got literally punched in the balls by a girl (Megan, who works with us) while air-humping during a Waterfall in a game of King's Cup. (A drinking game, of course.)
...the party kinda ended after that... He was in BAD shape.

Thursday, of course, was Thanksgiving. We went out to my Grandparent's house, as per ritual. Most of the family always comes in town for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and this year wasnt an exception. Great food, of course... And I got to hang out with my cousin Sam alot again. We drew (I mostly got everything colored) and watched TV. (Green Bay and Cowboys WIN~! And I got to see Dodgeball. Great movie.) Sammy kinda shocked me though... He did a 'visual copy' (Where you look at one picture, and draw it on a completely blank one without tracing) of my Setsuna and Sheena... Only a little fault, but still, amazing work. I wish I had them for scrap scans... >__> Did a lot of walking around the farm with the kids... Always fun.

Friday was back to work time... Black Friday, so it should be busy as HELL, right? ...FSK NO~! Slowest day I've worked IN MY LIFE! For the ENTIRE double I worked... I made only $14. I wanted to cry...
But it was alright... Because we declared it Rum and Eggnog Night.
So, after work we got a bottle of Morgan and 4 cartons of Eggnog...
Kodey and I went over to JR's house (Sara and Clark joined later), and we mixed and chilled.
If you've never spiked eggnog before... This season's a great time to try it. Burbon, Brandy, or Rum make wonderful mixes with Eggnog. Cant have too much, though, or it tastes aweful. Just a good 2 shots per tall glass is PERFECT. It warms the soul. (And fills you up, and makes you rather tired.)
Great night... We MUST do it again~! ^_^

Saturday was much better off, business wise... But I expect Thanksgiving Leftovers was still killing our business. T_T
I only made $40 all day.
Richard (one of our old bartenders/servers who left a while back) paid a visit. It was good to see him.
Anyway, after work we went to Clark's house. (Sans drinking that night... save for Kodey, who nearly knocked off the remaining third of the Morgan bottle.)
We listened to some music (Clark got me listening to Radiohead... who I really dont like much. T_T) and watched some Anime. (Baki the Grappler is interesting...)
...then we decided to Spar. (Probably because of Baki.) For those of you who dont know what Sparring is... It's like "Fighting without the intention to actually hurt someone". Much like 'lay fighting'. You still hit (if you do full contact sparring), just not to the face, or with full force. Clark and I had a bout that lasted only 10 minutes... So, where did I leave off? That Japanese party? Yeahhhh.... ^_^

Ok, so I went there right after I wrote that journal... Sometime near 7 pm. (Somehow managed to get off work on a Friday night... Pretty happy about that.)

Of course, I get there, and I'm the ONLY Gaijin (foriegner) there... I kinda expected that, somehow...
At least I knew mostly everyone, so it wasnt TOO akward.
...but they all were speaking Japanese to each other, and I still only understand very little, so I was just kinda left out for most of the time...

There was food. GREAT food. Half of the stuff I didnt even know what it was, but it was damned good. Oh, there was Onigiri... and that is ALWAYS win.
Not so much of a drinking party... But there was Beer, and some Bacardi Orange Rum...
So we played a drinking game.

...one that I made up.
Ok, so it was stolen from a Manga (MeriPuri), but I made it practical.
It's like a modified Truth, Dare, or Drink with Cards. <__<
Basically, everyone takes 2 cards from the deck.
They can then choose to switch out one card for a new one.
Afterwards, everyone shows their hands.
The person with the Highest 2 cards gets to tell the one with the Lowest 2 cards (in event of a tie, the one with the highest card wins.) what to do.
This can be answering a question, doing some sort of dare, or drinking an amount of something.
(If one refuses the 'truth or dare', they must drink.)
...it's easy to play, and doesnt go through too much alcohol, so it was awesome~!

...too bad all the Japanese kids wouldnt play on the 'truth or dare' aspect, and just made everyone drink the Bacardi. ...I think we got a girl drunk... and it was only around 9 pm.

Anyway, Billy (a cool guy from our Japanese club) came by later... So I finally wasnt the only white boy there...
We spent the rest of the night watching some funny Japanese quiz show, playing card games (non drinking), and Uno.

It was a lot of fun... But I left around midnight, because there was supposed to be a House Warming party for Sara (a friend of mine from work... )

So, I get there... And I notice that nobody's there... Johnny (another friend, the one who informed me of the party) told me that he already was home.
...well damn. But her light's on, so I didnt wanna just leave.
I talked to her, and she said that the party never really happened. It was just her and Kim (another friend... Yay for the Applebee Crew!) unpacking, and she said to come on in.

...so I did... And I helped them. Then we sat around and talked til 2 am. I wound up getting filled in on all the BIG NEWS that I somehow missed. (Nobody tells me ANYTHING. xD)
It was fun though... And I'm totally alright with hanging out with Chicks. ^_^


Saturday was good... I didnt have work til 12:30, so I got to sleep in.
Work all day... Morning sucked, but night was decent cash. Plus I just love my job. ^_^;;;
After work was chill time at Johnny's...
I was on Beer-Run Duty... Something interesting happened though...

As I was waiting at Eskimo Hut (a drive through convience store in town. GREAT place because you dont have to get out of the car for a beer run. xD), the girl (attendant, I dunno what you call them there... xD) came up and asked what I wanted as usual...
So I told her, and then she stopped... "Sorry, but I just have to stop and say... You have an AMAZING voice!"
...errr... what?
"No, I mean, your pronounciation. You have perfect diction, and you enunciate every word!"

...Ok... so this has NEVER happened to me before... I had some girl going giddy on me because I spoke well. (Hey... I'm a Northerner at heart... I have PRIDE in my non tarnished (from living over 8 years in Texas) speach! WIN!)

...I wish I brought my book with me... I'm finally in the lab with the scanner, and I forgot my art. BLAAAHH~!!

So frankly, I've been in a bit of a foul mood lately. Not really mad... Not really depressed... But just kinda... Blarrhhg.
Maybe it's my cold... Or maybe it's this weather... It's been BEAUTIFULLY cold winter nights lately... It's really my favorite kind of weather. But for some reason, it seems to do nothing but make me feel even more lonely. -_-;;;

Had some bad luck the other day... Managed to drop and break my Razr phone in HALF... AND lock my keys inside my car, having to get my stepdad to drive nearly 30 minutes out of his way to bring me the spare key... And I missed the extra credit lecture I was supposed to go to. >.<

Tonight, though... Should make things a little better... I got invited to some party by this Japanese Girl that I've been helping with computer science... THIS is a rare happening indeed... And evidently there will be Japanese Girls cooking Food. I'm totally digging that. ^___^

Anyway, nothing new as far as drawing today... Lots of housework and school... And drama with some dude on a forum. Blah~!

But now that School is back in session, it's time to kick that. >_>

This semester is a pretty good workload... I'm FINALLY out of CS2... So that means Data Structures! (Harder... but cooler!)
Plus, I'll be taking a class called Commercial Art, which is pretty good, since I'll be learning to use PhotoShop better. ^_^
The other classes are Accounting and Western Civilization.
I gotta study hard this year. Ugh. T_T

Art side... has been non existant, as you have seen. I FINALLY finished Winter Wish... And started 2 new things. With 2 more in mind... ANd still have so much untouched/unfinished. BLAAAHH!

Mmm... As far as other things in life... I've been sparring people an awful lot lately... I dragged some friends of mine into a spar with Shinai (bamboo swords)... and they've gotten addicted. O_O
That's pretty awesome! So now I'm never without an opponent. ^__^

I beat Disgaea the other day. I wanted to cry... Such a touching story... T___T (I wanna draw something from it.)

I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 2 lately. I didnt want to start something new yet... Not until I finished .hack, at least... But a friend was playing the other day... and I just couldnt help myself.
So now I've been playing it non-stop... And am SOO obsessed.
...I wanna draw something from that too. >.<

...that brings me to my main subject: Anime.
I've been watching TONS of it lately.
Caught up a bit on Bleach... (ep 107)
I had finally gotten around to watching Beck... (Remember that poll I had?)
Anyway, it kicked SERIOUS ASS! ZOMG!
I loved it... So awesome. The ending was so sad, though. But I'm glad it turned out great in the end. I want mooooorrrreee!
Music kicked ass... I had to download a bunch of songs from it.
('Slip Out' owns!)

The animation in it was a bit iffy, though. I dont like how they did Koyuki. Manga had a bit better style. But some parts were pretty amazing. ...but, of course, there were many scenes that had sub par design, it seems.
They used a 3D cell shaded model to do the guitar playing parts... Sometimes that looked good, but most of the time, it was pretty cheezy.
Music was amazing... But I wish some of the songs were better... Especially Chiba's songs...
Voice acting was great, of course... But my BIGGEST qualm with the series... was English.

Yes, English. Since Ryuusuke and Maho are from America... they can speak 'fluent' english. (Plus, alot of other characters used English as well.... Like Chiba's singing.)
Unfortunately.... Their english speaking... was not very english like.
In fact, listing to most of it was rather hillarious. Ugh. >.<
I mean, seriously... If you're gonna use English in an anime that much... at VERY LEAST get an American to even PROOFREAD the dialogue! Better yet... Get some American VA's to voice the English parts if the Seiyuu cant speak english well enough! GAAAH!!!
It's been the most horrifying bit of 'engrish' that I've ever been exposed to!
I have Japanese friends who are college students who speak far better English than I had heard in that series! BAAH!

...horrid English aside... Beck was a wonderful series. You should all watch it. Dont let the crappy speaking detract you. ^_~


So... Beck is over.... So it was the Runner Up's turn to be watched.
That's right, Azumanga Daioh.

I'm over halfway through, now... It's awesome!
Sure, perhaps a bit random and nonsensical... And the animation isnt the BEST (Beck was better...), but the comedic effect and SD animation MORE than makes up for it.
The wiggling... The expressions... I need to find an Animated GIF collection for this series... There's too many hillarious moments that I want to relive. (If you dont believe me, just watch the intro video ALONE. XD)

I love the opening and ending themes... (Just look at my current siggy! It's the chorus to the ending theme, 'Rasberry Heaven'.)
But the rest of the music is kinda crappy.

But the true essence is in the voice acting. Azumanga has some of the best voicing I've ever heard. Such expression! Such emotion! And a great deal of 'WTF' sounds that is ever so hard to pull off well.
Of course, I'm partial to Sakaki... ^___^

...no, the problem didnt go away... nor did it get any better...
But tonight was fun, so the head is more happy.
(Perhaps maybe I've discovered a possible course of action as well... who knows.)

Anyway, today was my friend's (Robert Fox, who shall be reffered here as 'Fox') Graduation from college.
Wow... That's really a hell of an achievement. ^_^

And I was lucky enough to be invited to the Graduation party. Yatta!

So, it was supposed to start at 4... But I worked that morning.
No problem, because I was supposed to get off by 4, right?
Hell no. Our manager decided that he needed 2 hosts until other people got there... so I was practically stuck until nearly 6. >__<

But, it was cool... Still got to go to Fox's. First to his house to hang and have dinner. I really didnt eat much, but that's fine. We talked a bunch, and went into otaku mode about anime/manga and Con, like we usually do... (The bastard got to visit personally with Greg Ayers earlier this week. DAMMIT! >_<

Around 9, we go to Outskirts, a country western (ugh... I hate that. XD) bar and club. Unfortunately... My phone starts to get hammered by my mom, who found out that I really wasnt at work like I said I was... (Well... big oops. O_o)
So, I had to leave there... Then went by Applebees a bit to pick up tip share, and prolong the enivitable. (I kinda dreaded going home, I guess...)

I finally got home... After a bit of bitching.... It turned out that my mom managed to get pretty cool about things. I still dont know how it happened... But turns out, that she let me go back to the party. (And by this time, it was midnight. XD)

So, I went back... By then, Fox was on his 9th shot of Tequila... and was just a bit drunk. (Mind you, that IS an understatement. XD)
He had 2 shots more not long after I got there... And went quickly down hill.
It was pretty funny. Most fun I've EVER had at a club... And I didnt even have to drink to have it.
JAC-dono came out to join us for a bit after work, but she couldn't stay long...
But it was fun for the time she did... Which was basically spent laughing with (at) Fox... while I tried to keep him on his stool, and out of her face. O_o;;;
(He gets loud... and likes to point. Not in a BAD way... but he seems to have lost depth preception... and the ability to keep spittle in his mouth while he talked. XD)

She left, and the rest of the time was spent with him wrapped closely around me, while we discussed various things that had nothing to do with anything... And lots of laughing. (I guess we kinda bonded? Too bad he probably wont remember much. XD)

So, the night was fun after all... And kinda left me with a much better feeling than I've had since yesterday. XD

Plus... A certian person there looked ABSOLUTELY STUNNING... Too bad I never had the nerve to actually TELL her that... *sigh*

So, anyway... I think I've finally realized the reasons that I havent gotten drunk yet.
It always comes up in conversation with me saying, "You know... I dont know why, but I still havent managed to get drunk yet."
I guess I always knew why... but never really thought about it.

Three reasons:
1. Responsibility - It seems that I always wind up bearing too much responsibility to get drunk. At every party I've gone to... I'm usually the most sober. So, I've played driver, bouncer, the dude that prys the obnoxiously drunk guy off the ladies, the pillar, the body guard... I guess it could be considered troublesome... But I kinda like it... It makes me feel good to be reliable. Plus, I suppose it gains me some kind of good standing in some people's eyes.

2. Fear(?) - Perhaps one of the main reasons I dont get drunk... Is that I'm afraid of how I'd be when I'm drunk... It's said that people open up... and usually wind up saying or doing things that they normally wouldnt do when sober... Or perhaps things that they really want to do or say, deep down, but never do for some reason...
Frankly, I keep a lot of things inside... A LOT. So... If I were drunk... I fear that much of that could come spilling out. Yeah... That kinda happened to me today...

So... everything has been good lately. Wonderful, infact. Things are turning up... Improvements are made... I've actually been happy. Like, really really unexplainably happy. Hey, I'm not complaining.

And today was the same way... Beautiful weather, great day... Everything was wonderous... and everything on would also be great. The kind of feeling where nothing can get you down, no matter what!

...until the one possible thing that could go wrong does.

Something like a tiny bit of an overheard conversation... Something simple... Perhaps a misunderstanding... But one in which the inferences of it are massive. In such a way that it just makes your heart drop. You know... that feeling that starts in your mid chest and makes its way quickly towards your stomach. A welling feeling of emptyness and negitivity. >.<

But... maybe it's just that. A missunderstanding. An assumption. Nothing to worry about, everything's fine.
...until that dread is confirmed.

And from that point on, every possible bit of happiness... No matter how long it's lasted, or what the reason... Is just instantly dissolved.

I guess one of the things that get to me most... is the fact that nobody tells me anything. Ever.
I'm always either the last to know, or have to hear it second hand somehow.
As if I'm not important enough to know when things happen.

I dunno... It's not really my right to be so moody about such things that really dont even pertian to me... But I guess I cant help it.
I suppose I'm too sensitive about things... And I really cant help it.
I hate myself so much, sometimes... Everything about me is just wrong.
I'm too reserved... I'm too shy... I'm too fat... I'm not good enough... I'm too indecisive... I worry too much... I dont work hard enough...
...I could go on for ages...
Feh...

I guess it doesnt matter much either way, what happens... It cant be helped. Nothing I can do can ever change things... I just wish that maybe I did something sooner. Or maybe that I could bring myself to do anything at all.
I care... But why? For myself? For others? And despite what I feel... what good is it if nothing is said or done about it? Gaaaahhhh!!!

I dont know... I guess it seems that the pendulum is swinging away again...

Maybe good will happen... Time will tell, I expect.
In the meantime, I suppose I should try and do something.
Sitting here and whining is accomplishing nothing. T___T
...I'm such a hypocrite. >.<

On the other hand... Did you know that DDR is WONDEROUS stress relief?
No matter what's wrong... Depression, Anger, Sadness...
A proper session of DDR will cure it.
No, really... The next time you feel down... Go to the arcade, and stomp the hell out of the arrows for a good hour or so.
By the time you're done, you'll be FAAAR too tired and worn out to care about what ever the hell was bothering you before. XD

...well, this works until the wearyness wears off... And doesnt do much for brooding, which just prolongs things and makes it worse in the process.

Technology...
Our family has always been behind the trends... New game consoles... DVD players... Broadband internet... and now... Television.
We've always been around 3 or so years behind. >.<

Today, we've finally caught up.

We got an HDTV.
Ok, so it's not top of the line... and it's only 780p... 42", Phillips.
But it's DAMNED nice! And a HUGE improvement over our crappy 25" shoddy old TV we've had for YEARS.

Not only that... But we also upgraded our cable from basic to Digital with HD! ZOMG!

It's absolutely beautiful!

But... as always, setup is a bitch. -_-;;;
It was hell figuring out how to get it together... And I havent felt THIS uber nerdy in quite a while.

But, after about an hour of struggling... it's all set. And it's amazing.

...and best yet... PS2 in LARGE wide screen beauty!

From Scraps, a mini-rant and picture of my Manga Collection.

First off... Mind you that I'm a HUUUGE Akamatsu/Negima fan... And... perhaps unfortunately, a Purist of the Manga's original storyline...

So, I've finally gotten around to watching Negima!?. (The second TV Anime. )
I must say... I have some mixed feelings. >___>
I was under the evident misconception that the new series was supposed to be 'fixing' the problems with the last, and continue with the storyline of the Manga into the Mahora Festival arc...
I realize, that this could not be farther from the truth. -_-;;;

It started off fine...
Back to volume three of the manga... Evangeline was roaming free, terrorizing the school... But something was amiss...
Negi was JUST arriving? And... he had Chamo with him from the start? O__o;;;

Ok, little differences aside... It's pretty cool... But wait... Takahata-sensei can use Magic? That's not right... <_<;;;

All's good until the third episode.
That's where things crossed the line...
Asuna and Negi formed a Pactio.
Ok, well everything was fine througout the pactio... (And the kiss WAS pretty amazing... <_<;;; )
But something was weird. Where were the cards? They appeared... then went inside her?

Ok... maybe they'll come when the contract is initiated...
But the chant? Gone was the familiar Latin, "sīs mea pars per decem secundās. Ministra Negiī Cagurazaca Asuna", and replaced with something about "Show me your power within."
And he grabs inside her (?) and pulls out the card. ...COMPLETELY different from the happy familiar Pactio cards from before. T__T
And... weirder yet... SHe... Transforms?
And she has her sword??? (Not appearing until the Asuna x Setsuna fight during the tournament) And armor? (Not appearing until the final battle scene against Chao)
This isnt right at all! (My reaction was akin to Chamo's during the pactio... "Yes, yes! Pactio! :::Kisses forehead::: NOOO! ITS ALL WRONG!!!")

They changed everything. No more singular card. No more artifact! WTF IS WRONG HERE?

Worse yet... within the first 5 episodes... he's already made Pacts with Asuna, Nodoka, Konoka, AND Setsuna? Those last three dont happen until during/after the Kyoto arc! GAAAHH!!!

Oh... and there's more to the Pactio. Evidently there's three cards...
Armor (the really powerful one), Cosplay (with a weird costume... like Asuna's Harisen), and... the Suka card (changes the partner into a useless chibi animal.)

Again, there's no more artifact, which used to be able to be summoned at will, like Asuna's Harisen and Nodoka's Diary. They only come with the Cosplay card, or in a more advanced form in the Armor card.
Also, no more summoning through the cards, or communicaton with them. (Bummer!)

Furthermore... (Yes! There's more!) Rather than simply strenght being activated for a time limit through the pact... Once the card is pulled, a transformation happens for a fixed time limit. Once over, they revert, and are completely exausted... and hungry. O___o

UGH!!! I hate it! Why did everything have to change? Nothing's right at ALL!!! >___<

Oh... And Setsuna... My favorite Negima character.
Now, it has always been hinted at a possible yuri Konoka x Setsuna pairing. (In fact, it's often a fan favorite!)
However... Here, rather than being very light and questionable... Setsuna's more like full blown, "ZOMG! Konoka Oujou-sama! I WANT YOUR BODY NAAAOOOOO!!!"
So much for MY idolization, right? What happened to the nice, frendily, HAPPY, Setsuna who secretly likes Negi in the Manga?
I want my Secchan back! T___T

And BLOODY CHUPACABRA! What the living HELL does a Chupacabra have to do with ANYTHING? (During the vampire incident, Haruna assumes that maybe a Chupacabra did it... >_>
They even form some kind of Chupacabra Research Group??? (Oh, and practically do away with EVERY other kind of school club that was so important to Negima... >.<

And the frog and cat thing... (The cat, I can see... but a frog? Seriously?) WTF is up with that? (In a good way... XD)

Best yet? We actually had snow last Thursday. SNOW! ZOMG WTF???
In WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS! Proof that Miracles DO exist. ^___^
...of course, it only lasted one day, stayed frozen the next, and was melted and all gone by the end of the weekend.
Despite the continuing cold weather, we havent seen a flake of it since. Chances of snow on Christmas? Very slim. -_-;;;

So yeah... I've been really REALLY energetic lately. Like, jumpy, happy, singy, screamy... something... I dunno. And it's leading to rambling.
Oh, and let us not forget giggly. Like, really giggly...
People are starting to question weither or not I'm high. >__>;;;

I like it though. People make me happy... Thats a definite good thing.

Anyway, some interesting things happened today...

Got up early as hell... 8 am... Ate, then left to the school to finish my programs so I could turn them in before work at 11. -_-;;;
Fortunately, they were completed, and handed in! And thus, I wont be failing Computer Science... AGIAN! >___<

Work at 11... All as usual... but slow as crap. Decided to take last cut, no point if I didnt get to make at least SOME money. <_<
Interesting random chatter... again, more giggly...

Got off at 4, came home, ate, went back to work at 5. (Exciting, right?)

Again.. same old stuff... Bussing... Kicking ass... randomness with the awesome coworkers...

...but something strange happened... Something, that in my near 2 years working can actually be labled as the strangest thing that's happened. O___o;;;
So, I was bussing a table, right? When this lady calls to me.
"Excuse me"
..."Yes?"

"I said, can I pinch your butt?"
(It's at this point, the "ZOMG WTF" flag raises in my head. ...yes... I have that flag. It's a boolean... and it's often set. XD)

I had tried to amass a group to come DDR... Which, as usual, backfired... Nobody could come...
Well, it wasnt a total loss... Managed to get JAC-dono to come DDR for the first time in AGES. O__o;;;

After that, I went over to Bufallo Wild Wings (sports bar) to meet with friends (Kitchen staff) for Matt's (broil cook) birthday.
That was pretty fun. ^_^

All in all... it was a good day.
Long... but good... And now it's late... and I'm still writing this. Aiya. <__<

I should sleep. Like, NOW. I'm gonna be SOOO Zombie in the morning when I get to work at 10 am. Ugh.

So, first off... I want to take a mini poll...
Been watching a bunch of Anime lately... And I finally finished Season 2 of Tsubasa. (So touching... And now Season 3 wont arrive till April! >.<
Now, I need something new to watch.
Of course, I have stuff... so that's not a problem... What is, however, is what I should watch first.
The choice is between BECK and AZUMANGA DAIOH.
Both are great... both are 26 eps long... And I cant decide which to watch first.
So what do you suggest? Pick one. Even if you dont know the series.

For the longest time, nothing was posted since Powder Snow. (Kinda hard to top, I suppose... XD)
I'd been stuck on one peice for the good majority of the time since then...
Unfortunately, I managed to finish it over a week late.
But alas, it actually WAS completed and posted! And I can finally move on. O_o;;;

I'd gotten a new peice done the other night. Very interesting idea that came to me... And it actually turned out VERY nicely when drawn!
It was completed and penned... and I'm currently working on coloring it, when I can find time. (Which seems to be quite sparing lately.)

I have some other good ideas, I hope, in the works...
Maybe they'll be decent.

I now have the FULL series of Azumanga Daioh, Beck, and Tenchi Muyo.

...wow.

Not to mention... 2 new eps of Bleach, 6 eps of the new Negima, 5 eps of Kannon 2006, 3 eps of something else AQS did... All of the second season of Tsubasa (minus 6 episodes. XD)
...the tsubasa movie, the xxxHolic movie...
What else?

So... yeah. Wow.

And now, my downloads are idle. So I need something new to be working, so as not to waste Bandwidth. O___o;;;

Thanksgiving was yesterday...
For those of you who dont know the story, Thanksgiving is a special day for me.
As you may know, my name is "Given". (Yeah.. it says in that little corner part under my avatar on my profile page here. XD)
Why Given? See, there's a story there...

You see... I was adopted... I was a Gift 'given' to my parents on Thanksgiving Day... So they named me Given. (Neat, huh? ...more like cheesy as hell. XD)
So, yeah. So Thanksgiving is almost like a second birthday for me. ^_~

Anyway, we spend the day at our Uncle's house with the family... (A pretty big damned family, too... XD)
Eating good stuff, chatting, drinking... And I got to practically babysit some kids. (Well... it wasnt really so much 'babysitting', as it was just playing with them. Somehow I get along REALLY well with little kids.)

Half of the time was spent 'roleplaying' with this little 10 year old girl.
Yes, Roleplaying. But not like RPG roleplaying, or fantasy and dragons whatnot...
But not as crappy as 'playing house' or something either.
It was weird... but I'm rather amazed at how a 10 year old girl's mind works. ...and at the fact that SOMEHOW, I was able to play with it on her level. (I havent RP'ed/acted like that for... over 10 years now. XD)

It started out... as I was siting on the couch, drinking some luxourious drink and watching TV... with her coming up to me... Grabbing some of these candy eggs, and stating (rather informatively) that we were going to play 'dice'. So she "rolled" the eggs, and tossed them in a bowl. "Aww... I made a five." So she tapped around the 4 points of the bowl five times, then handed me the Egg 'Dice', and told me my turn...
...fair enough. I'm game. So I shook the eggs, and tossed them in the bowl. "Oooh! You made a six!" *tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap* "And that means you get to roll again."
...it started to get weirder...
:::Rolls::: "Aw, too bad. You made a 50." ...wait, what? "50? How can you roll that high with dice? There's only two." ... "These are special dice. And you can get high numbers with them. So you got 50, and that means you have to... kiss the dog." ...fine. Well, it was my dog anyway, so that's not a problem. (Not that I ever had problems kissing animals. )
...it continued like this for a while... until she decided that it was 'late', and time for me to go 'home'.
So she tucked the 'dice' in my jacket's arm pocket, zipped it up, and sent me across the room to my 'house'. Where I pretended to sleep until she called me in the morning. Informing me that it was time for dice again, and that others were to be joining us...

...some how, later on, this led to us needing to cook a batch of 'Develed Eggs' (more of the candy eggs)... Involving '49 pounds of sauce', 'cherry', 'cherry', 'good smell', and a special 'bead from a necklace'. O_o;;;
So we 'cooked'... got ingredients... got wrappers, and made the eggs.

...later again, I was sent on a quest to get a Christmas tree and jewlery for my 'celebrity cousin'... which involved slaying some sort of witch to get to them.

...the same witch, that later, I had to give a makeover...

...then I had to give the girl a makeover... because she had a 'date'...

Um... It went downhill from there... Something about her sleeping, and me being a servant... and I had to get her chocolate milkshakes... Aiya. O___o

As you can tell... VERY weird. And yet, somehow, very fun. XD

So, anyway, some random stuff...

I just got some new Bemani albums the other day... Was Wiki-ing about Yamaoka-sama... and saw about his album 'iFUTURELIST' again... and realized that I really wanted it.
...so I went to Galbadia Hotel, and by the grace of the Goddesses... they had it. ^____^
Along with the new BeForU album! So, I nabbed them. XD

Greatness! SUUUUCH Greatness!
I've already liked Akira Yamaoka... (His Bemani work... his Silent Hill work... Yay!) But this album just topped it off.
Lots of full mixes and remixes of full works from Beatmania. Of course, including Injection of Love, and iFUTURELIST.
The first half of the album is MARVELOUS, but it degrades a bit towards the end with some not so hot older Bemani mixes. (Bitmania, Lion Suki, and the like...)

But, the way the album flows together is amazing. The tracks... are FLAWLESSLY integrated. I had a VERY hard time telling where they actually split between songs.
...and I'm an even bigger fan of 'Injection of Love' than I was before. That song just REALLY gets me. (Plus, it's SO delectably dirty... even listening to it in Japanese makes me feel somewhat unclean. O_o;;; )

So, yeah... That aside... what else?

Work was fun the other day... On Thursday, I was washing dishes. My friend, Nick, was hosting... We always have little funny tiffs with each other. An insult here, a bicker there, a mini touch spar or so... It's a lot of tit for tat. (By touch spar... I mean, he mock punches me... I block and mock punch him back. This goes back and forth. XD)

But... one time, while doing this mock spar... He suddenly stops and says, "You wanna go? Lets go right now. On the back dock, you and me. Lets go."
We'd been discussing having a real spar for a while now... But never had time. So, I figured he was playing... talking crap like he always does... But I'm never one to pass up an oppourtunity like that... So I say 'ok', and head out towards the dock, as he follows behind.

We get out there, stick something in the door so it doesnt lock us out, and go behind the trash can and start sparring.
It was pretty awesome... He has a very interesting style. It was kinda hard fighting him, but I kept up pretty well. I think he was kinda suprised that he wasnt going to kick my ass as easily as I thought he was. I seemed to feel a slight aura of respect afterwards.

I guess that was the extent of the excitement, this weekend. O_o;;;

THe rest of it was spent packing and moving HEAVY ass crap. >.<
We got a lot of progress, so that's good. We're almost prepared to actually move to the new house. Pictures will follow soon after. XD

Saturday night was great. The entire day was spent moving... But when we finished, (at 11pm) I got to go for the rest of Movie Night with Japanese Club. They had already shown Ju-On 1 by the time I got there, but they were JUST starting number 2.

So, I finally saw it. Ju-On... And, I'm telling you, it was worth it!
There's not a whole lot that gets to me... I'm rather jaded, as I mentioned during the Halloween rant. But... something about that movie just got me. I think it's because of the way Japanese Horror works. It's mostly psycological... American Horror has monsters, and stuff that takes place in scary places where you know stuff will happen.
But Japanese Horror is REAL LIFE situations! Like, you're sitting around the apartment, watching TV and drinking a beer... A place that would be COMPLETELY safe... Then some hair comes down out of nowhere and strangles you. Stuff like THAT! XD

Anyway, it was pretty cool...

Not much to say Art Side... I'm working on a GiftArt project now... That should have me occupied for a bit. Then I've got something else, I guess.

That I just got out of English class, in which we had to write a paper over something that was good in moderation, but would be bad if done too much.

Now, back to that topic.
I'm feeling rather miserable about life, lately...
No, not because anything happened... or because I actually have a REASON to be depressed...
But more because I've been watching KGNE again.

Let me explain.
KGNE, Kimi ga Nozumu Eien, is one of those "Drama" series.
By Drama, I mean... You laugh, you cry, you love... and then there's the scenes that want to make you rip your heart/soul out and tear it to shreads.
Yes... KGNE is one of THOSE series.

How so? I'll tell you. (If you dont want some plot spoilers, dont read. but I'll be awfully vague anyway.)
As I may have mentioned earlier, after I watched the first two episodes... This series is traumatic.
~Episode 1 - Girl confesses to guy. Stuff happens... Guy finally accepts, and tells her he loves her too. ^__^
~Episode 2 - By half of the episode, they have sex. By the end of the episode, she dies. O___O (No, seriously. I'm NOT KIDDING!)

Well, it took a while, but I finally watched more yesterday... >_>

Episode 3 - Turns out the girl ISNT dead... Just in a coma. Three years pass. The guy is now dating another girl (who was the first girls best friend.) Some more sex.
Episode 4 - The girl who was in a coma finally wakes up. Except, she doesnt know that three years had passed... and still thinks that she's dating him... and still loves him. But has no idea that everything has changed.

It's pretty twisted huh? I'm at ep 8 now... And he's all torn between the girl he used to love, and the girl he loves now... And... um... wow.

So... yeah. Its one of those series that just makes you hate life. Not to mention the kind of series that just reminds you CONSTANTLY how miserable and alone you are... Ugh... T_____T

So... um... Yeah. Watch KGNE! XD (Suffer along with me! MWAHAHAHA!)

As promised, we went "Halloweening". You know, cause that's what we do... on Halloween. <_<;;;

We met up at the bookstore at 7. I got there, but nobody was there yet... So I went inside, and to the Manga section. (After all, that's where Otaku gravitate.)
And sure enough... thats where everyone else (as if by instinct) wound up coming.

Our group was pretty small this year.. (Last year, somehow, was pretty big. O_o) But I think that made it more fun. Kinda like the first year. (There were only 4 then, too. XD)
Julie and Daniel came first. ( and )
Daniel was V again (from V for Vendetta. Picture is in the JClub Scraps. There'll be another soon.) and Julie was InuYasha. (A last minute cosplay creation. I DO mean last minute. Like, from random idea to completion in 3 days. O___o)
We ran into Vash and his friend and chatted for a bit, then they left.

So, we hung around and lusted over the Manga in BooksaMillion for a bit, then headed out to venture the mall. Lots of people... lots of 'normal' costumes... and lost of strange looks.
Some bastard security guard told Daniel that he had to remove his mask... So, I guess V just isnt poplular... ("Excuse me sir... are you a terrorist?" "Why... yes, actually. I am." XD)

As we got to the far other end of the mall... we, by a very strange chance, ran into two girls cosplaying Kagome. Of course, they practically squealed at Julie as InuYasha, and wanted a picture. (Whoa, what? Mini-con moment in the middle of the mall in Wichita Falls? There's a rare thing! XD)

We walked back towards the other end, then decided to play a round of Pump It Up. (It's like DDR, but Korean, and with 5 arrows in an X shape. The mall has it. Plex has DDR.) So, Julie and I play a round. By the way, if you've never done it... Dancing in sandals is HARD. But if you try and take them off... the socks will slip like hell. Julie forced Daniel on for the final round.
There are some pictures. They will be posted. (Dancing Games in Cosplay is the BEST! XD)

So we walked out of the mall and to the car to fish out some money. We were still waiting on another guy, Fox, so Julie had to get some manga... (I felt so taunted. I need money. You know... to waste on Manga. )
Fox finally showed up... and we somehow ran into Megan and her friend (the Kunoichi Girls from the JClub Scraps) in the book store. We all stood around and chatted for a bit... Then we decided to leave and head to Hastings to look at more Manga. (Yes. We are nerds. It's great.)

So, we ran around Hastings... chatting and poking fun at weird books. (Did you know that there is actually a "Sex for Dummies" guide? WTF? Flipping through provided some disturbing laughs... Why on earth do you need a stragety guide for things like that? Arent some things better left discovered on your own? How sad... XD)

I think it degraded my mind, though... because I was in the gutter for the rest of the time. COMPLETELY misreading titles of movies... like "Erosion"... "My Kinky Boots" (Well, that was just asking for it.)
Somehow, we ran into Tats and Takuya (they're ALSO in the JClub Scraps... XD), so we talked with them a bit.

We finally left, and decided to go to a Haunted House.
This... proved interesting... You see... we are a group of nerds. We, are officially jaded. We've seen worse things than most people could imagine... (Thank you Con, and Thank you Japan!)
So, we are definately the worst people to be going to a Haunted House. It's just not fun. Well, to us, it's a blast. We get to laugh at everything. But the poor people who are trying their best to scare us... I kinda felt sorry for them. We laughed alot.

Like... at one point, we were standing in line... and I turned around to see some creepy dude in this freaky ass mask hanging over my shoulder... And he (it?) hissed at me! I kinda jump back a bit, but only react with, "Well... Hello there!" (The other's bust out laughing. "Oh my god... that is SO Given." XD)

I managed to get something up for Halloween this year. Yay! (It turned out nice, even though it was quick.)

Tonight will be good. Especially since I finally got clearence to go... -_-;;;

I was talking with mum earlier... and she was all like, "Today's Halloween! And we havent gotten candy! Or pumpkins!"
And I'm like, "When are we going to have time to do pumpkins?"
"Tonight, of course!"
"Oh... well... I kinda cant. I'm supposed to meet with some friends and--"
"The HELL you are."
"...WHAT?"
"It's a school night!"
"It's Halloween!"
"You already had two Halloween parties that you've went to."

...well... that didnt seem well... But later on, I talked to her again... And pulled a special trump card... >_>

Anyway, I'll be dressing up as Kyouraku for probably the last time before con, again...
Supposed to be meeting JAC and friends at 7. We'll probably walk the mall... hoping that there's anyone even remotely otaku enough to recognize us...
I expect that we'll be visiting Applebees at some point. After all, I've got to show off my nerdyness to everyone... XD

So, it'll be fun. Dont know exactly what else we'll be doing... so I've dubbed this activity as, "Halloweening".
Which really means doing stuff (unspecified) for Halloween, in costume.

So, instead... We wound up watching Saw.

Now, I've never seen it before. Never had much interest, honestly. (Personally... I hate Horror movies. Well, I just never watch movies much anyway, because I have nobody to see them with. So there's no point going alone. And I'm sure as HELL not going to a horror movie alone. -_-;;; )

So... it turned out to really kick ass. It's not really a 'scary' movie... so much as a "Psychological Thriller". (Or, in short... a mind fsk. O_o)
It was cool... and kinda like a mystery... and you thought you knew how things were working out... And towards the end... It looks like it's going to be a happy ending...
And then they just completely shoot EVERY expectation you had down to the ground. Everything takes a complete 180, and suddenly makes PERFECT sense... in the worst way possible.
Of the ENTIRE movie... it was the last 10 minutes that just melted my brain.
The credits started to roll, and I was sitting there with a blank stare, and a dropped jaw. (Tat's raised his hand... "Ano... Can someone tell me... what just happened?" XD)
It was one of those "ZOMG WTF OMFG WOW!" things... The likes of which I havent seen in a LONG time.
So, yeah. Watch Saw. It kicks ass!

Anyway, all in all, Movie Night was a great success... And JAC-dono was able to make it, so that was awesome.
We had a pretty big turnout, and some people wore some great costumes. ^_^ (Takashi was in drag. That alone kicked some ass... Tony wore this creepy inflated clown suit with a FREAKY ass demonic clown mask... JAC wore Iruka... I was Kyouraku. It was great.)
Again, of course, we played some games before the movie... Street Fighter and Beatmania, of course. We even managed to drag some people other than Trai and I into playing Bemani. (And they both caught on REALLY quickly. ^__^)

Afterwards, Trai and I went over to Takuya and Yuutaka's house, and chatted until nearly 2am... Then we went over to Trai's and chilled... Then I came home and got on the internet until nearly 5. XD

All in all, great night.

Now... lets see... other stuff...

Work. I'm finally getting host shifts again. Makes me happy! ^_^
And I've been getting to bus, so I have the chance to prove my worth again. XD
So... JAC-dono now works with me at Applebees... It's pretty interesting. And even already, Mr. Roy (one of our managers) is telling how good she is. (And she's only been in training so far... I TOLD them my reccomendations are meaningful >.<

Umm... Drawing has been pretty stale for the weekend...

Halloween is coming up on Tuesday.. I have no idea what I'll be doing though. I should figure that out quickly.

Ano... what was I supposed to write here?
Mmm... random crap, mostly... Art, Life, and whatnot... XD

Lets see... First off, Party. That party from Tuesday Night...
Um... wow. O_o;;;

Well, she wasnt able to come after all... (Almost though... almost. -_-;;
But, even so, it was awesome.
As I mentioned before, it was a Masquerade... So people had to wear masks. Costumes were reccomended as well, but not required.

I had... absolutely nothing to wear. Not even a mask. (And I wasnt going to bust out my entire cosplay just for this... XD)

I wound up getting a mask template at Hobby Lobby for $2, and a package of feathers for $1.50...
Around 6pm, I started working on this mask...
Using some old paints, and some glitter... a little crappy imagenation and the feathers, I managed to create something fairly quickly.

Suprisingly, it came out really nice. (I'll post a couple pictures soon.)
Now, costume... There was nothing, at first... I thought I'd just wear the mask... Maybe some black pants and shirt...
Well, as I was trying on the mask... I thought I needed something around my head to hide the bit of my face and hair that stuck outside of the mask...
So, I tried taking the blue Obi from my Kyouraku costume and wrapping it around my head. It looked pretty awesome. But I needed something else... I thought I'd wear my Yukata... but what under it?
I decided to wear the Kendo Gi from the Kyouraku costume... (The black Uwagi (without the white underneith) and the Hakama)
Then the Yukata over it.
But something wasnt right... The blue around the head contrasted with all the black too much.
So I asked mum for a black shawl, and used that instead. It worked perfectly.
I then took the Obi and wrapped it around my neck like a scarf.
In the end, it turned out wonderfully!
And I was one of the 3 best costumed people there. (Next to JR, who dressed as the Black Knight from Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, and David, who dressed as Nacho Libre. (Including Stretchy Pants... Just for fun. And the Mask and cape. Sweet as hell. XD)

There was drinking... Much drinking.
And for the first time, I've actually gotten rather buzzed. Still not drunk... But dizzy as hell, and feeling REALLY good. (Evidently I get really giddy when I drink. XD)
I was still coherient... I could speak fine, and think without a problem... But when I got up and walked around, I could tell it was really off. O_o;;;
...I blame it on the fact that I hadnt eaten since noon... and that I was wearing contacts. >.<
Really, though. I'd drank FAR more than that before and not even gotten close to that bad.

So, um... yeah. Tuesday was good. XD

Not much else to say... There were some really interesting developments in THAT situation...
But... too much to tell here... Sooooo... I've actually updated my Xanga for this event.

So... the weekend came and went... and while the days werent so interesting... (Work, mostly) Most good time was spent at night.

So, here's a recap.

Thursday... work. Yay! >.<
Our new manager, Roy, is cool, though... So it was fun.
Long night with Internet... and .hack. ^_^

Friday.
Day was pretty boring. Spent most of the morning house cleaning...
Got a random message from Fox asking if I was free tonight. I replied yes... and got response: "...DDR at 8:30?"
HAAAHH! I've got him hooked! He's seriously asking ME to DDR. w007.

I tried to drag some friends... Most were busy... Except Angelica.
So, Fox and I meet. (Fox was already there by the time I got there...)
We play... It was fun. Anglica comes and joins around 9:30.
It was great.
Fox finally left around 10:30... He had loads of reading to catch up on. <_<
Angelica and I stayed until they closed at 11... then I decided to ask a special request...
See, I have a friend there... And sometimes I can get a little pull in my favor... XD
So, I ask for them to turn off all the lights and games except for DDR while I played a round. (They did this once... they were shutting down, but out of courtesy, they left the game on since we were in the middle of a round. It was the most amazing thing ever.)
So, I asked... and they said no, not tonight.
Too bad... I was about to leave, when he tells me, "Wait... Kevin changed his mind. He'll do it after all."
SWEET! So, I unloaded my pockets again, and they shut off everything else...
I played a round of Nonstop... Complete darkness... Absolute silence... nothing but the light of the DDR machine, the sound of the music, and the echo of my footsteps ringing in a perfect combo.
I love that so much. ^_^;;;

Anyway, with DDR over... Angelica and I decided to go to Applebees for a drink. I drank a butt load of soda... then we left.
We went driving randomly for a bit, then decided to go over to our friend Kris' house for a bit. He was up, but everyone else was asleep. So we sat around and watched funny videos for a couple hours... (Like the Southpark World of Warcraft episode. XD)

We left there around 2:30... and went to get some food at IHop...
After that we went back for my car in the Applebees parking lot...
But, I wasnt ready to leave yet, so we just sat around in the car and chatted... It was pretty fun.
Finally went home around 5 am. O__o;;;

Saturday.
Mmm... Got up, mowed the lawn around noon.... Great fun.
Played some DDR Supernova and checked up on DA a bit... Then went for the Japanese Club Officer's meeting at 4.
We planned for this Saturday's movie night... and for the Month of November.

Then I went home to finish some more housework... then went and got Hirotaka to play around 8. Around that time, I got a message from JAC-dono asking to DDR... Sweeeet... ^___^;;;
So, we went... but it turns out that she couldnt come after all, since there were some troubles around the house. (bummer...)
So Hiro and I left around 9, and went to my house...
Then proceeded to play .hack//GU till 1 am. (He loves RPGs... and as practice for the both of us... he plays Translator for me, and helps me learn to read and understand. XD)

I took him home... then came back to play some more, then went to sleep at 3.

Sunday.
Up for work at 9. Yay! >.<
Boring as usual. Horrible business of late... T_T
Um... I completely forget what happened most of Sunday... But it involved some drinking of Sake... ^___^
(But not that precious bottle I'm saving...)
And a lot of playing of .hack//GU. XD

Monday.
School... Then I went to chill at Applebees after class... Talked with Angelica and Jessica... All was pretty cool.
Everything as usual... until around 4:30, JAC-dono texts me telling me that she starts today. (YAY! Of course... I already knew... The AppleNet is vast, you know. ^_~ But I was happy that she told me.)
So i wished her good luck... said it would probably be short for the first day (which it was. XD) and that her trainer is cool. (Achi's good. ^_^)
And... basically that's it.

It's already Wednesday... Oh, dear.
A lot has happened. It's been pretty nice.

Soooo... Allow me to recap quickly. (Mostly because I dont feel like writing much. <_<;;; )

Friday. Was supposed to go out with my parents, but we decided to just celebrate on Sunday instead.
So, I actually managed to drag Fox to come DDR again.
We stayed from 8 til 11... It was good. (And he's getting much better! XD)

Saturday. After work... I spent most of the time shopping with Mom... Then at 6, I took up on Fox's demands for me to come Roller Skate.
It was... Interesting. But frankly (and it's expected of someone who hasnt skated...) I sucked. XD
I could barely stand, at first... (But surprisingly, only managed to fall ONCE the entire time. ^____^;;; )

But... as time went on, it gradually became a bit easier. Just a bit, though. Like, I could almost make it around the ring one full time without having to clutch onto the wall, or nearly lose balance and face plant into the floor. >.<

All in all... it was really pretty fun. I hope to do it again sometime... Maybe I'll get better. XD

Saturday night was Japanese Club. We had Pumpkin Carving and Moon Watching... Except, there was really no Moon Watching, just eating of Dango. (It was rainy out... so we couldnt even watch the half moon if we WANTED to. T_T)

Halloween is a foriegn thing for Japanese kids. None of them have ever cut a pumpkin... And certianly they've never had Pumpkin Seeds.
Yes. Pumpkin Seeds.
See, it's a tradition in our family... When we clean out the pumpkins to carve them, we save the seeds. We wash the crap out of them, salt them, and bake them until they are crispy.
They're REALLLY good. I suggest you try some.

So, I actually was in charge of the baking. And honestly... I've never done it before. O__O
My mom always cooked the seeds while we carved the pumpkins...
But, by some sort of miracle... They came out AMAZINGLY well! And, they were a huge hit with everyone! They loved them!
I was very pleased. ^_^

Mmm, yeah. So 9 pumpkins were carved... and I made my traditional Cat pumpkin. =^_^=
(It's been a tradition since my Dad showed me how to do it. You actually take a peice of the pumpkin and stick it in the side in such a way that it makes cat ears. )
People liked it. Nobody had seen that style before... (And, of course, all the Japanese kids thought it was cute. XD)

So, after JClub... I went to a party.
Evidently, it was decided during work on Saturday that they would have a party for me at a friends house, since I was legally 21 at midnight.
So, we had the party at Clarks house... and there were games, and drinking, and LOADS of fun.
I didnt drink that much though. I drank ENOUGH, mind you... Just not as much to get me drunk. (But I'll admit I was feeling a bit floaty, and pretty happy. XD)

I left there around 4 am... and came home. I made the mistake of 'checking my email', which led to me checking a 'Happy Birthday' thread on the LH Forums... where I ran into some people... and wound up having a conversation (ironically enough, about Sex and Hentai. Hey, it was Hinarei. What do you expect? ) that lasted until 7am.
To which, I noticed the sun starting to rise... and decided it was in my best intrest to sleep. O_o;;;

Sunday... I woke up at 9, to the sound of my mom whispering to my stepdad... "What is that he has over his head... Is that... a blanket?"
Since the sun was rising... It was annoying... So I wrapped a blanket around my eyes to keep it from bothering me.
I lifted a side, groggily looked at her and said, "Yeah... The sun was coming up, so I needed to cover my eyes."
"...what? What time did you go to bed?" "...seven." "Oh dear... When did you get home?" "...four." "I see... Well, I'll let you rest, then."

So I slept in till almost 2. Then I woke up... and my friend Trai came over. We hung out for a bit, then got the idea to go to Applebees. (Hey, I wanted to talk to people... And drink a Mudslide. ^___^)

I had a brilliant idea. I grabbed the Playstation, a portable DVD player, some controllers, and wires... And we went off.

Art wise... I'm in progress on that 'Party' peice for Sunday... It's turning out pretty fun looking... but overall, I'm unhappy with the looks of most of the character designs. Bah!

The Sketches are still in progress. Currently working on Minit for Kyuubi... Need reference now... Pose is done.
Sun FINALLY finalized his request... of course, breaking all the rules in the process. (An original character... from SCRATCH, without ANY reference? WTF are you thinking? >.<
...and somehow, I accepted. XD

So... someone better grab it, who hasnt had a sketch done yet. O_o

I've got one more drawing in the works... Another fairly Emo one. It's xxxHolic influenced. 'Words'. Yay.

So then. Life and whatnot...

Yesterday was fun. No class for English. She decided to give us a free day. So naturally, the time was filled. ^_^
A friend of mine, Josh, asked if I wanted to DDR... So I did. And we played. And life was good. Another friend, Angelica joined us for a while. Then we stood around and chatted about random stuff for a good 2 hours. Fun.

I finished watching Tsubasa. Wow. Damn. First season is over. Now I have to download the next season. The 'Oto Kuni' arc (Sakura Country) was AMAZING. Great end to a season... And wonderfully on par with the Manga too. Waaaaiii~!
So... I started watching KGNE finally.
2 episodes today. (Out of 14.) All I can say... Holy SHIT wow. O___O
In JUST two episodes... we have a girl confessing her love to a guy... the guy accepting back... they have sex... and then she dies.
TWO fsking episodes... This is ALOT to take in... If this is any indication... I'm worried about the next 12. T____T

Today was good. Met with Tats, Mayu, and Shino to get some things for food for Otsukimi (Moon Watching party) on Saturday.
We're going to be making Mitarashi Dango... Which is like dough balls with sweet red bean (Anko) inside. They're really good.
So, I took Mayu and Shino with me to the Asian food store downtown for Mochiko (Rice Flour) and Kinako (Soy Flour). And of course, the Anko. ^_^
It was fun. We chatted... And I love how they giggled madily every time I shocked them with some random Japanese facts that they never expected me to know.
Goddess... Japanese girls are great... ^______^
...ok... as I purge the impure thoughts from my head...

So, anyway... that's it. This weekend's gonna be quite full.
I'm off every night from work. (HOLY CRAP, WOW! XD)
I'll be hanging with friends tonight... Friday I'm going out with my parents for early birthday celebration. Calimari and Mudslides all around! ^__^
Saturday, I'm suppose to go Roller Skating with Fox. (Retribution for DDR, of course. ) Then we have the Otsukimi and Pumpkin Carving with Japanese club that night...
And Sunday... well... Sunday is Sunday, of course. A great day it shall be... And if any luck has it... I might be able to convince a certian someone to do something. Maybe?

Today is Tuesday, October 10th...

And as things have been... today is the day that someone really important to me is leaving.

...well... to me. But she doesnt even know it. Simply because for the past two years, I havent had even HALF the balls to tell her.
God, I suck. >___<

So... everything was fine, until stuff happened... and it turned out that she'd be moving away.

I'd wanted to see her before she left... or do SOMETHING... at least say 'Good Bye'... But for the past week and a half, despite the numerous calls and messages and voicemails I left... (Ok, so not THAT numerous... I didnt want to seem like more of a loser than I already am. XD)
I never heard a thing back. No text, no call... not a word.
Needless to say, I've been rather depressed lately. It sucks.

So... it seems she'd be gone... and I never got another chance to see her before she went.

...it seemed.

Then something happened... I was casually watching Tsubasa on Sunday night... Brilliantly wallowing in my misery and whatnot... When my phone starts playing "Tonight Tonight Tonight" at 10:30. (Yeah... Bleach ending theme by Beat Crusaiders. It's my tone for a text message.)
I just kinda ignore it, and continue watching. I finally check it before bed at 11...
Strangely enough... It's her. A week and a half, and finally I hear something.

She apologized for not responding sooner... evidently things have been going VERY wrong. And... she's not leaving after all.
...wait... WHAT? O____O
I think it took a bit for that to settle in... Hell, it's STILL settling in, 2 days later...
Wow... So... I think I'm happy. But, she hasnt told me what happened... She said she might in a couple days... So, I'm just waiting here in neurtral. I dont want to get too happy, in fear of possible let down...
...but it seems that the pendulum might be swinging my way again.

I suppose I'll see, ne? XD

I guess today wasnt as miserable as I expected. ^_^;;;

Life...
Yesterday was fun as hell! For the first time in a while, I had a Saturday night off of work.
Even better yet, a friend who I've been nagging for EVER to come and learn DDR finally gave in and decided to try. We met at the Plex at 7-ish... And played until the place closed at 11. WOW.
Amazingly... He's managed to improve a LOT in the one day we played... For someone with horrible rhythm... He went from first try on Beginner, and failing most songs... to passing some easy 4 foot songs on light! I have hopes for this man... (Yay Fox! XD)

Afterwards, I went back to Applebees (where I work) to chill... They were closing, and I couldnt eat... but somehow I managed to get invited to a friends house for a little party. So, around 1pm we went over to Mayfield's (the Mid Cook) house. Sat around, talked... I got to look at his Photography. We got some drinks (alcholic... XD), and I had a few Grape Smirnoff's... We wound up playing some interesting drinking game with cards... Of course, I just sipped because I cant get drunk when I have to go home to my parents.

Anyway, it was quite a fun night... It's nice to finally have friends. ^_^;;;

Well... It's the name of my RP character, and the name I go by EVERYWHERE. (Anyone who knows me off of here should have realized this. )
Long ago... When I was getting into Anime... Back in the days that Toonami was airing Tenchi Muyo on TV... I fell in love.
Back then, I was still by the childish nick of 'PsychoKatZ'. I wanted something cool... And Japanese-y.
So I chose the name 'Ryo' as a first name, since it sounded cool, and the syllable was used a lot in names in TM. (Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki, Ryo-oh, etc...)
Originally, he was supposed to be part of the 'Masaki' family in the Tenchi storyline... Unfortunately, due to misunderstanding of the language and spelling at the time, I wound up using 'Mi' instad of 'Ma'... And 'Misaki' stuck.
Over time (the past 4-5 years) the character has evolved in storyline and look... Till we reach the Ryo we have today. ^_^

~ Why did you join this site?
Sometime several years ago... JAC-dono mentioned this site, and how she has her art on it. I thought I wasnt good enough to be on a site like this, but I was told that skill really didnt matter. So, I signed up. After complication... I never used the accound for almost a year. Then I decided I wanted a place other than the Omega Triad Forums to showcase my art. So, I dug up my accound here, and started using it!

No real fandom, at the time... Just Anime in general. And a little Bemani.

It didnt happen.

It's almost done, though... I'll probably finish it tonight. <_<
I have everything done except to tweak details on the heads, and pen them in. (I hate bisho manga... I cannot emulate the style. And realistic style hair? Not a chance! Give me long exotic hair styles ANY DAY! >.<

Instead, I posted another peice that I had in mind... One that I started and finished yesterday, in a matter of 2-3 hours. Awesome!
It's another one of those kinda depressing, life-inspired works...

I think I'm almost over this trend... I have at least one to go, though.

I also scanned and posted the back side of the first pencilboard to scraps.

So, then... It's practically the weekend for me.... (I dont have class on Fridays, so Thursday's are pretty much my Friday. ^_^) Everything from now will be work, pretty much... So I'll say, "Have a great weekend.", and not have anything important planned until Monday or so. ^_~

My Desktop crashed... and I havent gotten around to reformatting it since I want to try to save the contents of the hard drive...

And I finally got my laptop! Which, due to running incredibly slow... I reformatted... Only to realize AFTERWARDS... that it had no recovery partition... so it's kind of without an OS...

I'm currently waiting on the copy of Win XP SP2 Home to come in so I can get that running properly...

Gaahh... On top of that... the usual laziness, and BUTT loads of work...

Geez... Spent nearly the last 3 hours going through them all... And I havent even TOUCHED the 25 Deviations that are left... O___<

So... why was I gone?
Went on a trip to help my friend Markell. He's moving to Lubbock, Texas for a Band Director teaching job. Lucky bastard!

So, Tuesday and Wednesday, I helped him pack stuff up, travel, and move stuff into his new apartment...

The journey... a 3.5 hour trip west... Is boring as hell. TINY ass country towns... that actually make me feel grateful to live in a city like Wichita Falls... -_-;;;
NOTHING around for miles... Flat farmland... GAAAAH!

Well, I lie... There's about a half hour portion between Guthrie and Crosbyton (they even SOUND like tiny hick towns, dont they? XD) that has some pretty hills and valleys... Nothing HUGE and SPECTACULAR... But rather pretty...
I'll post some piccies to scraps in a minute...

We left around 1 pm Tuesday... Got there around 4:30... He signed the lease, got the apartment, and we hauled the stuff in... Stopped at a gas station for refreshments... then, around 5:30, headed BACK to Wichita Falls for a second load. Got in town about 9:30... Packed up, got dinner... Then left at about 11:30 pm... Fighting sleep along the BORING ASS road... Fortunately, managing NOT to die... (Thanks to conversation, loud music, and energy drinks) We get in about 3 am. XD
Get to the apartment... and sleep. Woke about 9 am, unloaded the rest of the stuff, unpacked and organized... Then spent the rest of the day enjoying the city.

Lubbock's not bad... About twice the size of Wichita Falls... It's really pretty cool.
Not much of a Bemani Scene, though... An ITG machine in a Bowling Alley... and a DDR Ex and PIU machine in a Putt Putt... Gaah! XD
The DDR was good though. Nice sensitivity on the pad... And INCREDIBLE deal! 25 cents... for FIVE songs! And it's set to fail at end of song too... But the difficulty... I SWEAR is on Judgement... So if you miss one step, your life meter drops about half way, and is VEEERY difficult to recover...
I had PLANNED to take some contrasting piccies of results from Exotic Ethnic and CSFiL on DDR Extreme... But couldnt pass them.
I dont know if I was just off yesterday... or if the difficulty was killing me. But I couldnt make it. Depressing... And just goes to show... that the forsaken Dancing Stage really HAS made me weak! >____<
(I did own my traditional bests like A and Sobakasu, though... ^_^)

So, it was pretty fun. It's over now... and time for normal life and work again...
Maybe we'll take another trip there soon.

Ok, so anyway... Today is July 7th!
Ish Tanabata!

Some of you SHOULD know at least a tiny bit about what Tanabata is... (Provided you've watched enough anime. XD)
But for those who dont, I'll explain...

Once upon a time... Chinese Legend tells of a beautiful Weaver girl, and a Cowherd who met and fell in love. They lived happily, until the girl's mother found out, became enraged, and forced them to live seperately with a vast river in between them. So like that they stayed, until one lucky day (7/7), something happened, and a bridge was formed over the river, so the two could be reunited for one happy night, before being forced to live seperately again.

This is the story of Tanabata. The tale actually relates to stars... With Orihime (the Weaver girl) being the constalation Vegas, and Hikoboshi being the constalation Altair.
They are seperated by the great river... The Milky Way Galaxy. And, on this one night, if it is not cloudy or ruined by the rain, they are allowed to meet again.

It's a nice story...

Anyway, the actual tradition for this holiday involves writing wishes on strips of paper, called Tanzaku. Wishes can be anything... Good Luck, Academic Success, Love, Life, etc... and tying them to a bamboo tree for them to one day come true.

And so, today we gathered a Summer Meeting for the Japanese Club to celebrate Tanabata!

We got a little fake Bamboo branch... Construction paper, and a brush with ink for the wish writing... We also had food. Somen (noodles, similar to Ramen, served cold. A wonderful summertime dish!) and a special kind of Jello dessert, made by one of the girls (Megumi) and had little bits of fruit set in it depecting the scene of the legend. (I wish I had gotten a picture of it... >_>;;; )

The turnout was suprising... About 15 people showed up... We started off with me (somehow assigned by Tats-sama to be the one to do research and give the presentation. O_o) giving an informative speach telling the legend of Tanabata, the history, and the tradition. Soon after that, we had the food. Then we wrote the wishes...

What did I wish for? Mmm... I considered something trivial like... "I wish to become better at Bemani." ...but in the end decided on something more serious and sedimental.
"I wish for the courage and oppurnity to say the things I can't."

Some of you... (Jay, Silver, Arby... Not that Arb reads this stuff...) know EXACTLY what I'm reffering to here... (Oh, well, Z may know now too... ) But it's vague enough that it'll work for many situations. ^_^;;;

After that, we hung around and talked... Then packed up and left.
It was alot of fun...

Life... Not much going on. Been enjoying my break now after school. The OFFICIAL Grade report hasnt come yet... So I'm still a bit anxious... I hope it's as good as I believe... O_o;;;

My friend and I were supposed to go on a Trip today down to Dallas... To hit up the GOOD Bemani Scene... AND get the exclusive chance to play DDR SuperNova! ...but... it got canceled this morning due to insufficent funds. I'm sad. Damn. -_-;;;
Oh well... Sho ga nai, ne? "There's always a tomarroooow!" XD

Playing alot of Beatmania IIDX again lately... Thanks to my friend Hirotaka coming over again... (Bemani is so much better with other people. )
Strangely, though I havent played but maybe twice in the past month... I've gotten SUPRISINGLY better! I suppose the "Bemani Effect" really DOES work. O_o
("Bemani Effect" - A phenomon among Bemani games where you literally 'improve in your sleep'. Playing other Bemani games SOMEHOW help increase your proficency in different Bemani games, even if they may be COMPLETELY unrelated in play style... Take... Guitar Freaks and Beatmania... or DDR and Pop'n Music, for example... Even after long breaks of no play allow you to pick right back up where you left off, or even much better, with no practice required to catch back up.)

So, now that this week of break is almost over... I'll be picking up an ASSLOAD of shifts for work. Gotta catch up on the Money making... Especially if I want that Pop'n Pad and Dora Pad... And Con comes up again in September! (YAY AnimeFest!)
I wanna be able to make a cosplay... need money... and help... any suggestions?

Now it's time to move on! Currently working on 'Kon Euphoria'... Design has been sketched and started... this one might move quickly... but the details might be difficult, and take some major reference.

I've been doing ALOT of scanning lately. All of my old works are finally being rescanned and showcased...

Ok, enough of that... My folder is now completely scanned... So now? I'll be digging up my ANCIENT works! My History! The evolution of drawing! It's awesome... I'm gonna get SUCH huge fuzzy nostolgia feelings... ^_^;;;

So, anyway... School. It's over tomarrow. 2 tests in one day. YAY!
The good news? I'm OWNING! I currently have an A, and a B (which might as WELL be an A... 89.333%).
Tomarrow's gonna be the decider... I'm looking forward to it. (And for these forsaken classes to be over with.)

Heres the Grades so far... 3 tests from each class:
Statistics: 84, 94, 90. (89.3%)
Accounting: 91, 81, 101. (91%)

Suprisingly, I have ALOT in the works...
3 of which will be completed VERY soon. (Maybe a day or two? Depends on time to pen, and chance to scan... )

They are:
~Hayato (Tribute for CB-chan's birthday... ALMOST done, just need to finish and pen the BG... Gomen nasai, Natomi... It's kind of a ripoff of yours... Even though I had thought up of the idea before you posted... XD)

~FlowFlow (Idea I've been wanting to do for some time... It's pretty nice, just needs penning. Unfortunately, the pose turned out {unintentionally!} EXACTLY like the pose from "Come With Me". >.< I've fallen into the trap! GAAAH!)

~Magical Girl Ryo Misaki (Thanks to Jay for reminding me that I havent done a crossdressing Ryo piccy in a while... and thanks to CB-chan for inspiring the whole Magical girl idea. Ish done already, and just needs penning.)

Ideas and Works not yet started:
~Graduation (Tribute to Chihiro-chan for her Graduation... Not started yet, but the idea exists... Sorry it's gonna be so late... ^_^;;

~Pop'n Medley (Conceptual title... Its gonna be for Natomi-chan's contest... hopefully I'll get around to it. XD Need to do something with alot of Pop Characters... Ideas are lacking... and I need to do some research on characters. Oh my... T_T)

~Invisible (This has been in the works for a while... I've decided to scrap it because I didnt like how it was going... But recently (due to emotions of late) I've had a good stroke of brilliance regarding this... So I'm probably gonna revamp and do it. This has been a request of Markell-kun for quite some time... )

~Contrasting Ryo (Just an interesting piccy of Ryo and the Oni side by side... Nothing special, but shows the similarities and differences well... It's about half done already.)

~Kon Euphoria (Obligitory "YAY CON!" piccy to commerate AKon 17... Idea is there... I just need to draw it. )

~Alone (An idea I had... Dunno if I'm even gonna do it or not... )

~Fifth Squad ~ReMix~ (Mmm... wanted to do something from Bleach... With Ryo and Motoko as the new leaders of Fifth Squad... {You know... after all that happened with Aizen-taicho and all...} Plus, it gives me another reason to show off my l337 Zanpakuto. I've gotta think up something for Motoko-dono though...)

~Tenchi Muyo (Been recently obsessive over Tenchi again... Goddess, it's been so long. Maybe some kind of party scene... or maybe some kind of Family gathering {Including Ryo? Dunno...}. It's just a thought. )

So, yeah... I've been inspired again, it seems... XD
That's 11 ideas in the works... So things will be happening soon. ^_^

Oh... and I've been wanting to draw Roku again... something more serious than the last PoS I churned out... But no ideas yet, so I'm not even thinking of that now. O__o;;;

Um... yeaaaahhh... So I'll keep you guys informed. Expect those top 3 works to be posted here in the next couple of days.
