Just a little update of sorts.

I got a new cellphone, yayyy. I have unlimited Texting to Canada and the US which is awesome. and I have 100 unlimited minutes for calling too. And free after 7 PM. .

it's only 25$ a month. Wow. :B

I got a nice new TV for my room now. It's a 40" LCD HDTV Samsung. It makes me say wow. I love it very much.

I'm hoping to get a Tablet PC soon too- that way I can do some more digital works- and actually improve on it :sweat:

I've also decided to try out a course or two here in my hometown- if I can, to build a portfolio since everything I have within my own...closet.. I don't like enough to present it.

Don't forget about the Kiriban at 10,000. I guess I announced it a bit soon, but whatever.

I've also decided to keep doing random Kiribans. Yay?

Yay! Work Holiday+Christmas Holiday= Uber art pile up attack? o_o;; Yes. Fear not christmas list drawings! I will be doing them, I just had quite the episode lately. Small artblock, tummy flu, and a self taught lesson on the appreciation of life. It comes in many forms you know- as long as someone is happy, they should keep moving on. So why take away the things they enjoy? I would like to thank for helping me out with that little blockage of the happy reel.

So yey! For christmas I got a PSP, Metal Gear Acid 2 and Guilty Gear Judgement. Very very soon I am to get Metal Gear Solid Portable Operations and Locco Rocco! ^__^ YEY! I also got some Hello Kitty junk and a watch (omfg a watch). Suprisingly no art supplies though. I must buy my own.

--I bought more games! I finally OWN Okami, Metal Gear Solid Subsistence (I am addicted to the Online play), God Hand (The funnest Bash Em Up game ever), and B.L.A.C.K.
--I ordered the Metal Gear Solid Comic- Sons Of Liberty Vol.1 and it came in 5 days later! It's totally awesome, the art style is amazing, alongside the wonderful story line. A must buy! ^__^
--I am starting to broaden my drawing- not ONLY anime. I am going to start drawing more realism- maybe sketching still life. I want to improve as much as possible before going into College. =] Critic is strongly incouraged at this point.
--Christmas is damn soon! ^O^~

Now for that thing called 'bad' news. ;A;

--Christmas is soon...but we have no more snow. It has been about +6 for the past few days (Canadian Temp remember that xD) which has brought only rain. For Canada- or at least me, Christmas isn't Christmas without snow.

We were supposed to go to the Royal Ontario Museum for the majority of time, but we ended up doing more shopping than anything. xD
I didn't get much since I can buy clothes and things here- (and we were in the 'rich' part of Toronto) so I just bought Volume 1 of Ouran Highschool Host Club. I love it so much xD It made me laugh.

So we went two three exhibits in the ROM, I saw a Chinese exhibit, Egyptian, and a Japanese one. (I want a tea room! DX) The Egyptian one was so creepy because there was a real dead mummy there xD It was disgusting.

I broke my braces too o_o;

It was lots and lots of fun, and I watched my friends play 'bag tag' xD;; Poor guys. xD

o_o;; I saw a really funny Hobo too. He was smoking at 100 miles per hour and he wasn't really even smoking it xD What made it worse he was walking around in a circle. (Sorry I don't see hobos that often xD)

Anyways,
lots and lots of art coming in soon- a couple of CG too o_o I opened a store in Gaia and suprisingly the slots filled XD (I sell for cheap =_=;; )

I got the Devil May Cry 5th Anniversary Collection which has 1, 2 AND 3 (special edition so I can play with vergil too >: ]) only for 34 bucks. Now all I have to do is get 4 for PS3 and I rented Fatal Frame 3 =O!

2nd Strike- I bought PSM and Anime Insider and subscribed for a year-now I dont have to buy them individually =]

3rd Strike- I bought a Hello Kitty CD player and did all my nieces Christmas shopping- including all of the above, under 200 bucks

4th and final Strike- I can still buy Okami, Metal Gear Solid 3 Subistence, and Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles- and if I am lucky, the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Controller :evillaughter:

This week has gotten really good, we are all normal again, work is good, life is good, school will get better.

I woke up this morning, and it was a normal day. The usual level of "death related things" had simmered a great amount, except for the Rememberance day ceremony that I had gone to today. Everything was so normal, in English the next death related thing I did was writing a reflection. I wrote a journal entry of the way a man would live if he were in the war. (Quote from work: "Death surrounded me constantly, they would sometimes have their eyes open- staring blanky away not feeling a single emotion or touch, rats that somehow were managing to survive would chew away mindlessly at the skin that was bruised and white from complete lack of blood. It was my best friend."

That was the last time I thought about death today. I simply went to work, having a good time, my sister worked with me, I got my homework done, I finished drawing a picture.

When my mom came to pick me up, she looked a little bit stressed out. It wasn't hard to tell that she had something bad on her mind. I just kept quiet and waited it out. Sure enough, she had something that was bad to tell us.

My sister and I sat down on the couch, and my brother on the love seat. My mom heaved a sigh and told us that it may not be as bad for us, but my Grandfather had recently passed away. Yesterday. My dad was coming home early. The three of us sat in silence and only nodded to this.

I knew that my brother and my sister wouldn't care as much about the situation as me or my father, because as my father would say "The artist mind has advantages and disadvantages. You can create almost anything in your mind, and use it to your will. However, when something critical or serious happens in your life- vivid dreams, your imagination takes control." In other words, I may not have been as close to my Grandpa as I absoloutely wished I could be, but it really, truly hurts me inside.

Aside from that all it is my first family death. I had never EVER in my life known anyone that died, and now, I do. It is very difficult.

This, is a real regret. I want to take everything back, and visit him as often as possible. This terrible feeling of guilt, and weight on my shoulders.

Life however, continues on. And I can not feel this sad all the time. So may I say, Rest in peace Grandpa, at least your not going to feel pain any longer. And as in the war, Lest 'I' forget. Lest me and my Father forget. We may have not visited often, but know that we thought of you often, and that we love you.

For those who read this, thank you for reading my entry. I will be posting some art tomorrow, and I may not be active again. Also this is the last time I will tell you that I am deleting ALL deviations in my messages, unless you want me to see specific deviations. It is appreciated that you note me so I can personally take the time to look.

So I want to let you know now, that if you want me to look at your gallery personally, or if there is just a certain one you would like for me to see, I will unfortunately be deleting all of the messages that I currently have, just to start fresh in a way. Playstation 3 is coming out very very soon. My mom went and asked how much they were and they are about 650$. I really want one xD But I promised my mom I would buy myself a computer so I stop using hers. It's no fair I have to wait ;______;

Also, November 14th, a game called "Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles" is coming out. That game, looks so amazing, I needed to watch the trailer twice to register it. WOW! xD I am so excited. I wouldn't mind taking a lovely 70$ off my Computer savings to pay for that! ___________

I got my new bed- lovely cherry finish, very Japanese like. 7 inches off the ground, the cushion is unbelievable. xD I love it....

I have been practicing full bodies and the anatomy of the people I draw, and I must say I have improved in many ways. The shoulders are more broad and they can show the difference between 'feminine' and 'masculine'. I draw my characters mouths' differently as well, they look more realistic rather than having what looks like this: < > for a smile xD. Hands have been improving as well, I am happy to announce that xD, nothing good with feet though . And last but not least, I am happy to say my drawings are not looking as anerexic as they used to xD.........

I am in a specific mood at this time in my life- I am happy and sad for two simple reasons. I am sad because of where I am right now. I mean, Ottawa is an amazing place yes of course. It is very commercial, lots of things to see and what not- but for me, not so much a City girl- more of a small town kinda girl, this place is almost hell. School has never been more terrible- they are a step ahead of what I am really supposed to be learning, Art has never been so unfamiliar to me as well.
However on the brighter side, I shouldn't have my hopes up high, but I can't help it. I might be moving back to Sudbury. Yes thats right, two weeks here and both me and my mom are just like a nitrous bomb. Move me, Touch me the wrong way and we will explode. I can feel us both breaking down, it's difficult.

So yes, to sum it all up, I might move back home and I have never been happier to know that. I have made another regret!

Until then everyone, I am Kelly Barbosa, just another Deviant, just another Artist (or wannabe ), who won't be active for a long time.

I'm moving this Thursday...!

I went to Canada's Wonderland yesterday. It was really fun I went on every single ride I could possibly go on. I started off with Top Gun- wow that was fast
Next we went to my favorite ride of all time, the Psyclone. It is a massive ring that holds 40 people, and it swings really high in the air while spinning, really insane
There were other rollercoasters and things like Sledge Hammer and The Vortex, but those were all babies compared to things such as Top Gun or the Psyclone, or even The Bat... dear god XD I never feared a rollercoaster until now. xD My mom went on and she nearly had a heart attack.

So in the end I wont a Grim Reaper from Family Guy, a giant fish that is about half the size of me, and a little avatar creature thing xD He's so soft and cute OmO.

....Poor Xemnas...

Okay so I got Final Fantasy Dirge Of Ceberus. It starts off pretty slow, you know little amount of Chars to get you used to it, your accuracy is all good everythings fine. But later it really picks up the pace and gets a little intense. Game looks great, got some pretty wicked looking enemies like Rosso and Azul. Vinny is looking mighty mighty fine, love playing with his boom stick ;D xD..
The levels are a bit too straight forward I though, not many interactive things and the enviroments aren't very big. Load times are horrid, I can make toast while letting that thing load. Same for saving time. I was able to sing a song while it saved xD
But----It looks pretty and has Vinnie so we're all happy. PLUS you can play as that annoying kitty with the crown. But he fights like a pansy and dies easily. xD o_o;.

I'm moving next Saturday. This little section is basically for the people that are close to me here in Sudbury, so basically its a little thanks to each one of them:

- You were such a good friend to me, you taught me how to draw anime during the boring Science Fair. Your teachings, has lead me to follow your concept, along with adding other influences of artist's together to create the style I have today. Even though we aren't as close as we used to be, I will never forget the times where you gave me my first Anime movie ((Slayers xD)), the CD's or songs we downloaded and burned xD, how being a punk/emo/whatever you wanna call it wasn't a label, but actually feared. xD Lastly, never can forget you being called 'Tanker Tits' xD

- You were my first friend when I changed to a Catholic School. In grade 7 and 8 we kinda drifted, but thanks to Lo Ellen High School me and you were brought back together and now we are goodest of friends to eachother. We have been through good ((Justin)) disturbing ((Justin xD and Brenden )) and just plain torture ((BEN and Dan xD)) You always made fun of my mistakes which kept me uplifted and glad to try again. Art class has never been the same without you. Wish I could have had last year with you again. Thanks for teasing me about my crushes, and forcing me to talk to them.

- I know I don't know you well at all, but I did used to go to school with you and you were friends with my sister. Along with that you dated one of my good friends, Ben. Your an amazing artist and probably one of the best in Sudbury. I truly envy your talent, and I know you will get far if you decide to continue in the arts. I hope you take care of Justin and good luck with your future.

- XD I don't know you as much either, but for the times I talked to you on MSN and saw you working at the Grocery Store ( ) I thought you were a really neat person. Your talented as a Flash artist and your imagination never quits. Your amazing and keep to it mister! Take care of Justin too-

I must say this day was pretty "sweet".
I got lots of stuff I wanted, like Naruto Ultimate Ninja, Water colours and pastels, and my dad is paying for my drivers ed course
On the downside however, I had to tell my dad about me moving to Ottawa. Since my mom and him are seperated- it is difficult for him. It was really bad to see him like that- trying to have a good time and all. **sigh**

But once again on the bright side! I got to see Pirates Of The Carribbean 2. I am also moving to Ottawa within the next two months. It's great that I am moving there, because there is so much more there than where I am now, but it is also very saddening. So, basically until I move and what not, I wont be submimtting and be active for a little while. Maybe through until September. .

But there is some good news XD.. I might be going to the Anime Convention in Ottawa this November! I am very excited. I wonder if there will be some artists here on dA that will be attending. It would be very nice to be able to buy from Artist's row, and meet some of the artists here on dA. ^__^
Lastly, I finally turn 16! This friday. xD I can go for my G1 now. <3<3

Well, first thing I would like to do is apologize for not answering everyones messages. I would have tooken the time to read everyones journal, however there were too many- and I could just think of how updated they already were.
Second of all, I won't be on DeviantArt for quite a while right now. The only thing I may do is submit every now and then. Unfortunately I will not have the time to sit and answer comments, look at your deviations or read journals (or answer polls )
This is because of the following reasons:
-School is almost over and Exams are soon.
-I must catch up in Math very quickly before I fail
-My laptop is currently in repair
-I will barely have time on my computer during the summer holidays
-and lastly, probably the worst- I have artblock again so soon. How nice.

Unfortunately I assume that being optimistic all the time can definately pent up rage. What made me snap recently is some artists here on dA. Actually, it is a small thing and basically pointless thing to get mad at, but here goes my opinion.
I look at art and think: "Wow that is really amazing, I hope to one day be able to make something close to that."
and when I read comments below I see crap like this:
"I could never draw anything like this."
"You say this is bad? This is totally amazing compared to what I can make."
"I am so jealous of your ability to draw!"

Isn't the point of being an artist not to be jealous, and not to think less of your own work? Isn't the point of art to take what other people have and put it to pratice? Isn't the point of art to look at others pieces and become inspired and motivated to try new things or better yet continue practicing whatever style you have already?
I know that some people say that out of pure amusement to a piece of work- but that doesn't cut it for me. You can simply put the fact that you like it by saying: "This is some pretty amazing work you got here." or something like that. I seriously cannot stand it when someone says: "Oh wow, my work is shit compared to this."

Point being, you should respect your own work as much as you would respect anyone elses work. I wouldn't say this is certain, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was rather annoying to other artists to hear people say that their work is crap.

I am not a up most popular artist, so it really isn't my place to say anything I have previously said- but even so, I am very proud of my own work and I am very proud to look at other works and become inspired. I know in past comments I may have put one of those annoying comments down- but I can tell you all who are reading this, that ain't never going to happen again.

To put this rant in simple words:
I hate it when people put their work down just because there is someone else who can draw amazingly.

It was good and bad really o_o;; The first two halves of the movie were pretty pointless. Especially where "Princess Fuun"s manager dies. I mean, it was cool- but it was so fast it actually made me laugh o_O;; I mean, possibly 40 men charged at a train and got stabbled to death. xD

I loved the ending though- I seriously thought that was Sasuke kissing Naruto's cheek xD Me and my mind running off into la la land @__@;;

I want to know if there is a second movie in the making? o_o; Does anyone know if there is? That watches naruto? XD

Also, I had already watched the Naruto/Sasuke fight episode. That made me cry yet it entertained me soooooo much ^______^ Especially since Naruto's Kyuubi stayed out for a long time!

Anyone else see those episodes, that movie? Tell me what you think! ^^

First things first, it's time to get organized and serious with my art. I have been getting angry with myself for my lack of motivation or that stupid crap. I had been comparing my own work with others without even realizing that I should be lucky with the level of talent I have. It may not be much compared to the other amazing artists out there, but when I see people's works that are lesser than mine, I feel terrible for doubting my own. They try so hard and they are positive about themselves, yet I can't even be with my own. I also shouldn't be putting myself down by comparing myself with the greater artists, because without them, I wouldn't be inspired to do what I love to do most. They inspire me to push forward and try new things with my works. Obviously they wouldn't see this, but I want to thank all of them anyway.

-Today I went to see Harry Potter 3. I didn't really enjoy it as much as the other films, but it was still good. I mean those dragons were so cute ;__; I did more laughing in that movie than anything really. I mean, no offense to the awesome harry potter actor, but when he was sleeping and having a nightmare...well he didn't really look like he was..sleeping...or dreaming.... ack never mind im just a silly young perv XD;; Ron, poor guy. I don't know why but I felt the need to write another journal entry. So I will rant about things.

Once again I must say I hate the english Naruto ;3; Its so terrible. They even changed the opening theme...and they used clips from other opening themes...like the second series. They put clips of Rock lee and Hinata and all them. But we(or the people who never watched naruto before) will be confused because they never show up until.....long time XD;; They are advertising the manga now at least o_o Thats good...

Last night my mom rented a dvd, and it had a preview of Final Fantasy Advent Children. Does that mean its coming out here soon?? If so....omg YES! XD;;

I dont even know why I bother to watch the English version of Naruto. I actually thought it would be an interesting series to have english voice acting. Sadly when I watched the first episode...It was terrible!

Iruka sounds like a child rapist sometimes O_o;; Naruto's voice just doesn't cut it. And I really hate how they say "Naruto".
Sasuke's voice isn't too bad, and if Kakashi's actor (I'm sorry cliff ;__; ) put a little more effort into it he would sound okay.
Hokage? Yuk.. XD What a terrible voice actor.
Gaara. Im really afraid to hear his voice. I'm so worried that they did a terrible job.
Zabuza, I missed last friday's episode so i couldn't hear his voice Hopefully its not terrible. Haku, im worried about him too ;___;

Either way, Im totally sticking to the Japanese series. I dont mind reading subtitles anyways

Mm.. Also one more rant about the english Naruto. Wheres the blood? The kissing scene? All that jazz? ;___; Naruto just isn't the same without it....
