The character development is shoddy at best, the scene changes are bollocks and the plot of the story flows like rapids.

Twilight is the most over-hyped piece of shit since Cloverfield. That's right, I went there.

The ONLY, AND I MEAN ONLY, reason that girls with air for brains can relate to Twilight is because they live in their closed off minds separate from the real world, where GOOD WRITING - like Dostoyevsky, Crichton, Patterson and Nabokov - don't exist. Twilight emulates the perfect perpetual angst of the teenage world today and absolutely capitalizes on the Way right-wing Christian virtue of "Believe like me or I'll hurt you". Twilight fan-girls have become close to rabid and have emulated that virtue so specifically, that an entire website has been devoted to Twilight fan-girl attacks. Somehow, they just don't get that good writing exists and they either a) refuse to read it, b) Claim Twilight is the best story out there or c) A combination of the two.

To top it off, the twi-girls are just absolutely fucking insane. The MTV Movie awards (or whatever the fuck it was) was a viewers choice contest and somehow, SOME WAY, Twilight, a la Robert Pattinson, won out over The Dark Knight. I'mma let that sink in for a second. Twilight, the sappy, over-hyped, shoddy story won out over the Dark Knight, perhaps only the second Batman film to be edgy and satisfying to the point where it makes you question everyday actions.

What is this? A world where viewer votes are more popular than actual GOOD writing?

Everyone sits around and watches the VMA's for the New Moon trailer and then they instantly turn to a different channel. Twitter was a buzz with "New Moon" being a trending topic right up until it played. Lo and behold it's the same fucking thing.

All you twilight fan-girls should be ashamed of yourself for lauding over Meyer's crappy writing style. You want good writing? Go out and pick up a copy of "Lolita" or "Crime and Punishment". Both stories have complex characters that have to deal with both internal struggle and external conflicts. Go read that and THEN Come back and tell me Twilight was a great read.

And yeah I guess I am back, but I've been avoiding this site like the fucking black plague, because simply and only due to the fact that this site contains way too much drama.

I liked the admin's latest dArama journal entry and then I realized how many ass-kissers are on this site. But then, that's the internet:

Every member of every site will suck up to the admin of said site in order to garner something in return. On dA? People suck up to get admin and DD privileges. On MySpace? People claim that tom's every edit to the MS source code is a good one.

Well ya' know what? Not every edit is a good one.

I'm not saying that this latest chapter in the soap opera that is dA's life is going to be necessarily bad, but I'm politely asking all my dA viewers to GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASS.

Be your own fucking person and draw/write/make whatever the hell you want and don't be influenced by people in power. Don't feel that you have to suck up to everybody above you to get some power around here.

I understand Twilight is a young adult novel and that it contains a vampire named "Edward" and a young human named "Bella". The story goes on to include a fight between some vegetarian vampires and Werewolves and something about a secret that Edward must keep or some awful reason as to why Edward can't be with Bella, blood being delicious or something like that. Many people have claimed that

Being one, a book, and two, fantasy, could you please explain how Edward is sexy when there's no pictures of either in any book by Meyers?

Now that you have read that you can probably guess that he encourages people to download songs, because the music industry is ripping us off by making us pay almost $20 for 1 song and 14 others we don't want. I agree. Everything is free on the internet and the RIAA should just fuck off.

Now that you've read that, here's the situation. I use a WiFi connection to connect to the internet because we split the cost with my neighbor to use his. Well. I download music through Limewire (who doesn't?). Now those who have seen those RIAA crackdowns know that they send you a letter first right? Ones that say "pay up *insert outrageous amount of money here* or we'll arrest your ass"? Not in this case. Since I was downloading off my neighbor's WiFi, they thought he was the one downloading.

So just now, a black van showed up outside my neighbor's house and took him away. Guess who? Yup. The RIAA. I've downloaded over 1500 songs off his connection. Wonder how much they'll make him pay. Guess this proves two things:

The RIAA is a group of assholes. They didn't even question me.

It's good to see somebody else get blamed for it.

I can't believe they just carted him away without so much as a warning. I really wonder why the RIAA are such tight asses.
